They were all starting to look directly at us.. Oh Celestia.. Why were they looking at me? Did they really think a Princess would just spill out private information in public? It is limited edition version, and I never told Rainbow Dash about it. I'm afraid of what she might do to it if I ever let her borrow it.. I can never tell her. Just got to hide it on my bookshelf. Blend in with the other books, she'd never know. I moved my hoof across the shiny cover, an exclusive part to the limited edition. I have to get my mind off of Rarity. She is going to drive me mad with her questions. My love life, past, present, and future, are a secret to my friends. They must never know. They would be so... Confused? Mad? Awkward about it? I can't think about that right now, though. I should be relaxing. I rolled over onto my back, and levitated the book above me so I could read it in a comfortable position. It shined in the sun rays coming in through the window. I opened the book to the very first page and began my journey into a world of adventure. No more love, no more friends, no more worries, just fantasy and adventure. Chapter 2Daring Doo galloped through the forest, searching for the golden griffin. She had found no luck, until she saw a- I couldn't continue, because before I knew it, all three of the Cutie Mark Crusaders were on my bed. As to why, I have no clue. I still feel really bad for them, now because they can't even chat without those Crusaders appearing at their door. I set down my hairbrush back on my dresser, and started making my way down the stairs, with the 3 Crusaders following me. I was thinking about making them some iced tea with little bits of hay, but then I remembered that had too much sugar, and they were already hyper enough. I shrugged as I grabbed the milk out of the fridge. "How come Rarity won't let us ever have some of her sweet tea, Twilight?" Sweetie Bell asked as I filled up 3 cups of milk for them and I poured myself some sweet tea. "Well, Sweetie Bell, you see... Sweet Tea makes ponies more adorable. And if you got any cuter, you would explode." I teased her and rubbed her head. I think that's a good enough explanation. "So.. I'm adorable?" Sweetie Bell squealed with big, cute, eyes. Am I really keeping a secret even from myself? I trotted down the stairs, going into the center of the library. I heard a knock at my door, so I walked over and opened it up with my magic. Standing right there, were all the other Elements. "I may of told them that I didn't know your old loves... And then they realized they didn't know either.. The only one who wasn't interested was Rainbow Dash, which doesn't surprise me, considering she doesn't like romance." Rarity explained to me. I looked behind them and saw Rainbow hovering in the corner.. She was waving... More like shakily moving her hand and blushing like no tomorrow. Rarity saw me glaring at Dashie-I mean Rainbow Dash. I quickly stopped and I don't think Rarity noticed it was Rainbow I was glaring at in the first place. "I guess I should tell you.." I gave in as I motioned them to follow me upstairs in my bedroom. It was quite crowded in there with 6 ponies, but none the less. I layed down on my bed and started blushing before I began talking. "R-rainbow." "Hmm?" Rarity asked as she layed down in front of me and the rest of them crowded at the end of the bed. Rainbow started looking for a place to hide. "R-Rainbow Dash, come here. He was so cute when he does that. My number one assistant! "Spike the burner!" I yelled, luckily, he didn't burn my cheese sandwich.. Oh yea, Cheese Sandwich.. I wonder how he is doing.. Weren't Pinkie and him dating a while back? I sat down at the table and made a quick mental note to write to Cheese. "Sorry, Twi. It might be a little bit more toasted than usual." he said to me as he set the plate and a cup of sweet-apple cider in front of me. "It's fine, and thank you. Also, no.. Sorry, Spike. She wasn't asking about you.. She wanted to know about my past... My love life, to be exact. Which in no way in Equestria, am I ever, going to give her info on that." I took one bite out of my cheesey-goodness of a sandwich, before realizing how full I was... Shouldn't of had that soup.. Wait.. Did we even pay for that food? "Oh, ok. Well, I hope it all works out, Twi." "Umm.. Spike?" "Yes, Twilight?" he replied to me. He was halfway done with his gem soup. "I kind-of already had lunch with Rarity... As you know.." I said with a blush. I feel so bad... He does try to impress me with the food he prepares for me sometimes. I know he has trouble with the stove a lot. But still, he is such a sweet little dragon. "Oh... It's ok, Twilight. Owlicious didn't eat anything yet. He can have it." he said before grabbing my plate and looking around the room for the owl. Wait... Would Owlicious even like that sandwich? I highly doubt that an owl would eat a grilled cheese sandwich. I nodded my head, without saying anything about an Owl's diet, before climbing up the stairs into my bedroom to think about my situation. What was I going to do about Rarity? I can't just tell her about my love life. It was so complicated, and so embarrassing. I sat down on my bed, and using my pink aura, floated my favorite Daring Doo book over to me, Book 1. It is limited edition version, and I never told Rainbow Dash about it. I'm afraid of what she might do to it if I ever let her borrow it.. I can never tell her. Just got to hide it on my bookshelf. Blend in with the other books, she'd never know. I moved my hoof across the shiny cover, an exclusive part to the limited edition. I have to get my mind off of Rarity. She is going to drive me mad with her questions. My love life, past, present, and future, are a secret to my friends. They must never know. They would be so... Confused? Mad? Awkward about it? I can't think about that right now, though. I should be relaxing. I rolled over onto my back, and levitated the book above me so I could read it in a comfortable position. It shined in the sun rays coming in through the window. I opened the book to the very first page and began my journey into a world of adventure. No more love, no more friends, no more worries, just fantasy and adventure.
Chapter 2Daring Doo galloped through the forest, searching for the golden griffin. She had found no luck, until she saw a- I couldn't continue, because before I knew it, all three of the Cutie Mark Crusaders were on my bed. As to why, I have no clue. I sighed as I carefully closed my book and slid it on the bookshelf with my pink aura. They all laid down in my bed, watching me with those big, adorable eyes. Why me? Out of everypony in Ponyville, why me? "Yes?" I asked the fillies that were sitting in front of me. "Tell us!" they all screamed into my face. They started bouncing on the bed, and I sighed again. "Tell you what? Oh, and no bouncing on my bed, little fillies." I replied as I slowly got off my bed. But I think I already knew the answer to my question. I walked over to my dresser, and slowly brushed my hair, trying to get the tangles out. This is the "only" problem that happens when I read for too long. "Tell us about uhh.. What was it, Apple?" Sweetie Bell stammered. "About your past love life!" Apple Bloom said excitedly. "Yea, whatever." Scootaloo said as she followed me and the rest of the Crusaders. Obviously Scootaloo doesn't care for little crushes or anything of the sorts. "Just tell us, so that way we can get to cliff hanging. That cutie mark would look AWESOME!" "Just like I told Rarity, I-" "You told Rarity?!" two of them squealed. Scootaloo just yawned and went back over to my bed for a nap. It's kind of disturbing to think that these little fillies go crashing into other ponies' homes without their permission.. "No, I didn't. What I was going to say was-" "Aww..." the said with sad little eyes. No guilt tripping me, Crusaders! "Was that I told Rarity that I wouldn't tell her, and the same goes for you." I finally finished. "If you won't tell her, then that means there was a special somepony you liked!" they said with happiness. I just face-hoofed in reply, while remembering last Hearts and Hooves day with Ms. Cheerliee and Big Mac. I still feel really bad for them, now because they can't even chat without those Crusaders appearing at their door. I set down my hairbrush back on my dresser, and started making my way down the stairs, with the 3 Crusaders following me. I was thinking about making them some iced tea with little bits of hay, but then I remembered that had too much sugar, and they were already hyper enough. I shrugged as I grabbed the milk out of the fridge. "How come Rarity won't let us ever have some of her sweet tea, Twilight?" Sweetie Bell asked as I filled up 3 cups of milk for them and I poured myself some sweet tea. "Well, Sweetie Bell, you see... Sweet Tea makes ponies more adorable. And if you got any cuter, you would explode." I teased her and rubbed her head. I think that's a good enough explanation. "So.. I'm adorable?" Sweetie Bell squealed with big, cute, eyes. Apparently she didn't get that I was being sarcastic... "Yes, you are. And not just because you are a filly." "Are you adorable too, Twilight?" she asked me as they each grabbed their milks and started gulping it down. I just sat in the kitchen chair, wondering about her question. Am I adorable? Am I cute? Am I... hot? "I don't know." "I bet you are. Heh, well, somepony used to like you, obviously." she giggled.. Sweetie can be tricky, that's for sure. Not that her other crusaders aren't sneaky either. I just blushed and started taking sips of my tea while still pondering at the same question. Am I cute? Even a little bit? Should I even care if I am or not? Maybe I should tell them, well, my friends, at least. Not the Crusaders. But my friends really should know... But how am I going to tell them? Is there a book on it? Should I go do some research? About how he lied to me over and over again? Should I even tell them? Will my friends end up hating me if I do?
Chapter 3"You see, there is something I have to tell you..." No, no, no. That doesn't sound right. Maybe... Wait, no. Hmm.. "Hi, guys. I have something I want to talk to you about... But it's kind of weird, confusing, and awkward." That's great, well.. Mostly. Maybe I should try practicing where I play everybody at once? "Hey, guys?" I asked myself. That was a little awkward, for myself and I. "Yea, Twilight?" Rainbow Twilight Dash replied. I think I play her part well. "There is something I need to talk to you about.." "Are you going to tell us who are you past lovers, darling?" Rarity Twilight squealed. Great.. A flaw in my plan. It won't go perfectly, if Rarity really does interrupt me about this. Am I over thinking this? Maybe I should just go off and tell them? I really can't tell them about her-I mean him. Am I really keeping a secret even from myself? I trotted down the stairs, going into the center of the library. I heard a knock at my door, so I walked over and opened it up with my magic. Standing right there, were all the other Elements. "I may of told them that I didn't know your old loves... And then they realized they didn't know either.. The only one who wasn't interested was Rainbow Dash, which doesn't surprise me, considering she doesn't like romance." Rarity explained to me. I looked behind them and saw Rainbow hovering in the corner.. She was waving... More like shakily moving her hand and blushing like no tomorrow. Rarity saw me glaring at Dashie-I mean Rainbow Dash. I quickly stopped and I don't think Rarity noticed it was Rainbow I was glaring at in the first place. "I guess I should tell you.." I gave in as I motioned them to follow me upstairs in my bedroom. It was quite crowded in there with 6 ponies, but none the less. I layed down on my bed and started blushing before I began talking. "R-rainbow." "Hmm?" Rarity asked as she layed down in front of me and the rest of them crowded at the end of the bed. Rainbow started looking for a place to hide. "R-Rainbow Dash, come here. I am not talking about this without you." I said sternly, and Rainbow blushed as she came over. "W-where should we begin?" she stammered to our little audience. You got it Rainbow.. Where should we begin?
Chapter 4"I dunno where to begin." Rainbow shrugged. "I can agree with you on that." I murmured to her. "Well.. it all happened before Twilight came to Ponyville.." Rainbow started. "Uhh.. Shouldn't ah be telling the story with ya'll?" AJ interrupted us. Wait.. She wasn't apart of this story?... Why did she want to tell it if she doesn't know it? Ok, now I'm confused. Did Rainbow tell her? Or at least Rainbow's side of the story? Who should start the story? Am I nervous? Am I worrying too much? I shouldn't be nervous! It was much worse when all this actually happened! Is there a nervous-go-away spell? Should I take some sort of medicine? Maybe I should- "...Yea, AJ. C'mere. Sit next to us." Rainbow interrupted my thoughts. "How was she apart of-" I began, but Rainbow shushed me with a glare. "It all began before Twilight moved to Ponyville." Rainbow Dash repeated the story beginning to the audience. "I was challenged to a race here, but the race actually would happen in Canterlot. Of course I accepted! I mean like, really? I am the Rainbow Dash! And Rainbow Dash never turns down a race. Anyways... So, I flew off to Canterlot. But on my landing, I crashed into Twilight. What luck, huh?" she chuckled nervously. "Yes, what luck." I grunted before I continued the story. "We somehow ended up going on a date.. Rainbow even missed her race because of it, but she seemed not to have a care in the world because she was with me. We ended up going on some more dates.. And more, and it felt like my whole schedule was devoted to Rainbow.." I blushed as I chuckled when I looked and Rainbow. "Anyways, she broke up with me about 3 months before I moved to Ponyville and went back home. I-I still don't know why.." I spoke very quietly - as quiet as Fluttershy. And why was AJ staring at the bed, not at us? Is she embarrassed? Scared? Confused? Ok, I probably am worrying too much.. "Anywho, when we saw each other again when I moved here, we decided it would just be best if we acted like nothing happened, so that way we wouldn't hurt our friendship." "....And uhh..." the bearer of the Element of Honesty interrupted me with a stammer. "We kind of.. ummm..." Rainbow joined in with the stammering. "Well.. Back when Twilight was in Canterlot.. Umm... Well.. Rainbow Dash.. She might have... umm.. broke up with you because I asked her on a date when I came to visit her in Canterlot." AJ whispered. Wait a minute.. They did what now? She left me for AJ? Forget what I said. Worry time. "Twilight, I am really sorry... But AJ and I had more things in common.. But we did break up about a week after we started dating, though. It didn't really work out. Bunch of fights on who was the better athlete and better partner... We forgive each other, but are not getting back together.." Rainbow murmured. "And uhh.. Sorry we didn't tell ya'll about this.." AJ said to the draw dropped audience. "Trust me, it was hard to keep it a secret like this." Ok.. So, first AJ asks my girlfriend on a date. Then, she steals my girlfriend. She breaks up with my now ex-girlfriend, and then, she interrupts my story?! "It's.. it's completely fine, Applejack. And Rainbow, I thought you were loyal.." Fluttershy whispered. Well, it was so quiet I guess you could count it as one. "I am! But I didn't know who I should of chosen.." "Pinkie? Are you ok?" AJ asked her. "Yea, I guess it's a little bit ok.. But I missed like 4 parties! Twilight and Rainbow's dating party! And their breakup party... And AJ's + RD's dating party! And their breakup party! That's like a lot of parties!" Pinkie said with sadness. I kind of feel bad for her... But mostly for me. I mean.. I was cheated on? How could I be so stupid? How could Rainbow be so stupid? Did she even care about me back then? Even one little bit? ".... Twilight?" Rainbow said whispered into my ear. "Y-yes, Rainbow?" I cried in reply... How could she do this to me? And not tell me what happened earlier? "I am sorry.. I broke up with AJ b-because I love.. I love you.." I ignored what she said, but she just continued and acted like I was listening. Which I was, but I didn't want to hear it. "And I shouldn't of cheated on you... I don't expect you to take me back or anything - I just want you to know I'm sorry.. And I realized I was in love when you brought back my memories.. You showed me how I was completely.. Well, not me.. I should of been more loyal to you, because I was with you already.. And not with Applejack.. Please, just forgive me already." I didn't get to reply because Rarity started squealing. As to why she would squeal in a time like this, I have no clue. "FINALLY! And this means I got Rainbow's past too!!! Eek! Wait.. who do I have to listen to now about their past lovers'?" Rarity dropped on the floor dramatically. Oh, and elegantly, too. "I no longer have anyone to learn their back stories from now!" she whined. "I know! I have to go back to Manehattan! I bet some of those ponies have some back stories!" she yelled as she downstairs and out the door. "SEE YOU ALL NEXT WEEK!" "Well, that was.. umm.." "Weird? Yea, I know." Rainbow finished for me. "Now.. Do you forgive me?" she asked quietly. "I don't know.." I replied to her. "What do you mean?" "You should of just told me you cheated when you did, Rainbow." I cried to her. I don't know why, but I stuffed my head onto her shoulder. I don't like her anymore! Why am I doing this!? Or wait.. Yes, it is in a friend way. Comforting me, like a friend.. Right? "You weren't loyal when you cheated.." I couldn't stop crying. "You weren't living up to the element you would gain in your future." "What about those other times, hmm?" The audience was starting to leave.. and they left us alone... All alone. In a room. Alone.. Ok, maybe I am starting to get a bit worked up.. Go to your happy place, Twilight. "What do you mean by "other times", Dashie?" I used her nickname. I haven't done that since.. Well, since.. "I mean by all the times I didn't live up to my element. What about Discord? And don't even remind me about-" "That was different. Those were after we re-became best friends." "I'm still me, aren't I? Aren't I still the same pony from when we dated? Aren't you? Answer me that. Am I still the exact same pony from when we dated?" she chuckled. "The only one in Equestria who can perform a sonic rainboom - and while saving her friend. The only who never turns down a challenge, and the one who is confident. A little too confident. The one who is cool, and a little too sure of it." I laughed quietly, still with my head on her shoulder. "Now then, do you?" "Do I what?" "Forgive me?" "I..." "You what?" I don't know what I should tell her.
Chapter 5I moved my hoof into the air, shaking in the wind. I can't do it. I just can't blame her like this.. Ugggg.. Hesitating, I finally found myself knocking on the Apple Family's' door. And I wasn't surprised when I saw who opened it. There she stood, the one who stole my marefriend. I would despise her, but all in all, she is my friend. "H-Heya Twi-l-light." she stammered nervously while moving her hoof around on the inside of the doorway. "D-Didn't expect to umm.. see you here... Because.. Well, you know.." "I would not expect myself not to come here, under the circumstances." I sounded very professional, at least, I think I did. Outside, I looked strong, brave, and confident. Inside, my walls were crumbling in embarrassment, and depression. Wait.. Should it even matter considering I'm talking to a farm pony? Well, it is Applejack. If I talked like nothing was wrong, she would think something was up. Wait.. She knows something is up.. Because something is up... Ugg.. Why does this always have to be so difficult? "M-My side of the story?" "Yes. I believe it would not be right to blame you without knowing your side of the story first." I stated, poofing out my chest a little. Great... Now I look like a stallion.. "Well... Ah guess it's alright if you know... Not much else could go worse.. C'mon in, but we have to go to my room. Ah don't want mah family hearin' 'bout this. They know so little of what happened.." she said as she opened the door and led me to her room. I stepped inside the doorway, as she sat down on her bed. "Well, aren't ya gonna c'mere and sit down?" she teased, but ending in a blush. Sometimes I wonder what goes on in that pony's head of her's. Quietly, I stepped fully inside the room, shut the door with my magic, and plopped myself on her bed. "It's not Rainbow's fault, and it's not your's either." she started. It kind of sounded like an apology. "It's all mine. I should of known Rainbow was with somepony else, or at least would of thought it would never work out between me and her, because we are both fighting over who the best of whatever and whatnot." she sighed to me. "At first, when I first asked her, I didn't know a thing about you two. I didn't even know ya'll yet.. But I did see something when I asked her though.." "What was it?" I asked with interest sparkling in my eye. "She sounded all surprised like. More scared than anythin' else. Like she didn't want to say no to me, because it would of been rude in her opinion, but more like something was holding her back." "Then what made her choose you?" "Ah still don't know. Ah think she was trying to please me, and after I found out, I realized she was tryin' to please you to, sugarcube." she said with another sigh as she fell backwards on to her pillow. "Like she didn't want to disappoint either of us. You know that mare doesn't like makin' decisions." "Yea.. She really doesn't.." "Anyways, ah didn't find out until our second date. When she told me, back then, me and you didn't know each other back then.." "You and I-" I tried to correct her, but she just ignored it. "But, no matter who ya are, nopony deserves to be cheated on. So, I was the one who convinced her to either dump me or break up with ya'll, because at least then she wouldn't be cheatin'." "YOU told her to break up with me!?" "I said choose me or the other mare." "But that's still asking for her to-" "What 'bout you sugarcube? When are you gonna make your decision?" she ignored what I said. Yet again. "What decision?" "If you're gonna forgive her or not." "I don't know.. And since you didn't know originally, I guess I can forgive you.. But it's going to take a while to get used to you again.. But I do know one thing.." "What's that, sugarcube?" "That Rainbow likes to please everyone." "Well.. More like she can never choose between one friend or another.. Anyways, I gotta go help buck some apple trees.. Are you gonna go see Rainbow?" she asked as she walked with me out of the room. "N-No. I think.. I think I got to go visit Pinkie and Fluttershy.. I really have to know more about what they think of all this.. Rarity.. Well, I kind of have to wait on her." "Well, I'll see ya soon then, Twilight."
