The screech had instilled a fear that I haven't experienced before. I quickly began running back to my house with this fear acting as adrenaline coursing throughout my body. I arrived at my home within five minutes of constant running,"T-the hell was that...", I said as I shakily opened my front door and walked back into my home. The place in which I had ran away from due to the stress of this day now seemed like sanctuary from the terror in which I had seen. I sat down on the couch in the living room when I heard screams next door. I jump up when they had started and moved towards the window that gave me a view of what was happening, and what I saw was forever imprinted in my mind till this day. It was my neighbor Mr.Thompson getting dragged out of his house by a creature. The creature was about six to seven feet tall, had claws that extended 8 inches outward, it had black scales covering it's entire body, and the strangest and scariest thing about it was that it had three eyes and rows of teeth. I watched in horror as it clamped its jaws on top of Mr.Thompson's head squashing it like a grape between fingers. His body kept jumping up and down for what seemed like minutes as blood was pouring out of the gaping hole where his head use to be. The spasms of his body only made the blood to jump up with splashes on the pavement. The monster was watching it with what seemed like glee as the body slowly receded to only small twitches, then the creature grabbed the body and started to rip into its teeth gorging on what seemed to be like a morsel to it. I was frozen the entire time this was happening when it had started to rip into it I unfrozen and quickly moved away from the window I headed towards my room with haste. I opened my room when I heard a crashing sound downstairs I quickly closed my room door and move to the end of my bed, then I crouched down to retrieve a long black case I open it revealing my winchester that my father gave me for my twenty-second birth day. I pull it out and then move towards my cabinet to pull out of the third drawer, rounds for my weapon. I quickly put in a round in and turn off the safety as I was doing this I hear something heavy moving closer to the door. I quickly pull up my weapon and securing it on my shoulder I aim it at the door.

The door suddenly was push off its hinges and I saw it, the grotesque monstrosity was on top of the door like it had pounced onto it. As soon as I saw it I pulled the trigger. The gun roared to life as the bullet passed through the chambers of the gun and proceed into the head of the creature. When it had hit the creature's skull black blood shot out of the wound it, then moved forward and collapsed on the fallen door black blood flowing out of it. I look at it with a grimace and grab the bullets for my winchester putting them in my left pocket, then I made sure to put another round in as I step over the creature and out the door. I quickly go down the stairs revealing the damage it had done to get in. The front door was smashed open, the kitchen table was throw aside, the chairs were broken, and the couch had been thrown across the room. I move out of the house and over to the Thompson's. I go over to Mr. Thompson's body and saw that he was just about to leave for work when he was killed. I searched his body with disgust searching for his keys to his green truck. I find the keys after searching his right pocket as well as his wallet. I say to his lifeless corpse"I'm..Sorry, but I need to take your truck...May you rest in peace.", I was choked up by this as Mr. Thompson was a decent old man. Now he was gone. I go to the truck and open it when I heard that screech again it was coming from across the street. I quickly get into the vehicle and start it up. I set it to drive and hit the gas pedal driving off I saw another one of those things burst through the window of the house across the street and it started to run after me. I drove as fast as the truck could go and the creature soon was just a speck in the mirror..
