The Tale of the Shadow Phoenix

For every force, there is an equal and opposite force.

In the beginning, there was nothing. The Multiverse was nothing. After immeasurable time (Because time didn’t exist yet), the nothingness created something to fill it with something. Two beings, equal in power. These beings were the First Phoenixes. Life and Death, created to fill the nothingness with something.

Life made universes and filled them with life. Death made way for new life once the old life had ended and controlled the afterlife. In this way, the Multiverse worked for many Phoenix Ages (About 1,000 Phoenix Years), but eventually, the Multiverse became too large for Life and Death to control on their own. So they worked together and created the Lesser Phoenixes.

All the Lesser Phoenixes together are equal to Life and Death in power. The Phoenixes protect and control the Multiverse, but make their own home in the Megaverse. You might wonder what the Multiverse needs protection from.

To maintain balance within itself, the Multiverse created a force equal and opposite to the Phoenixes. They are the Nameless, and their home is the Negaverse. They are forever trying to destroy the Multiverse and the Phoenixes. Their battle has raged on since time began, and will most likely continue until time ends.

Every Phoenix has an equal and opposite Phoenix. These are the Phoenixes: Life and Death, Light and Shadow, Fire and Water, Air and Earth, Science and Magic, Love and Hate, Happiness and Sadness, Order and Chaos, Courage and Fear. None can exist without the other, and all are needed to maintain balance throughout the Multiverse. All Phoenixes carry within them a small part of all the other Phoenixes. Each Phoenix, while controlling their part of the Multiverse, also has a special power unique to them.

You might be wondering what any of this has to do with me. My past name was Brady, but now I’m the Shadow Phoenix, and this is my story.
