"..Happy birthday too you!" Mom sung.
Happy birthday indeed.
Mother looked around, shocked at the thought that was definitely not hers.
I was too keyed up at the presents to notice mom's shock. I only noticed it when she hugged a biped that I didn't know.
"Mom?" I asked. "Who is that?"
The being looked at my mother and scowled. He looked a little hurt. I didn't know. I was too young.
"You said you will tell your children?"
"Duh, Ender, I forgot what you're doing in a universe that considers Humans a very threatening thing." She said rolling her eyes.
"Well I couldn't miss my niece's birthday right?" He had said.
They walked off, talking about some stuff that I couldn't hear about. I didn't care, It didn't have anything to do with it so Duh.
I trotted off to the window when thunder clapped right outside. I yelped and fell flank-first to the floor.
I looked around. Mom still isn't here? I had thought.
Then the door burst open revealing my father. His coat was Yellow with a mane of red. His cutie mark was a spear.
I didn't mind. He was a Royal Guard after all.
He looked at me and put me in his back. I was confused of course, I didn't know what was happening so I just went with it.
He ran around the house in search for my mother.
Then in the kitchen, he saw mother talking with my Uncle.
"Night Sky!" He had said, relieved. "Thank Celestia you're safe!"
My mother and Uncle stood up almost immediately. "Pa- what's happening?" Uncle asked.
That time only did father notice Uncle. "Wha- hey who- whatever!" He said. "We need to go," Thunder clapped. "NOW!"
We never did get out. Everything was getting blurry, I remember mother picking me up and striding to Uncle.
I remembered something about a portal. Then I saw only red and black. I got nauseous and then passed out.
When I woke up, I was in the ground with my Uncle. I trotted over to him and nudged him.
When he had woken up, he puked. "Never again.."
Then he looked at me and picked me up.
"C'mon little filly, Your Uncle Ender's got this.."
I woke up, my head throbbing. That dream was creepy I thought.
I had no idea who "Ender" was. I only remembered my mother who was Night Sky and my Dad who was.. Well.. Uncle only described him so I never really did get a name. Apparently they died at an accident involving lightning and wind but he never went on about it.
But when I reviewed the dream once again, I don't know why, but the memories of the dream fading away made me sad. I put my hoof on my temple and rubbed it, hoping to remember it again.
Even though it was a dream, it felt so real.
My thought was, Who was Ender? What happened? How do these stuff only happen to sad sad ponies like me?
Chapter 1 : To Ponyville!
The knocking on my door disturbed my train of thought.
"Starlight!" Uncle yelled. "We're moving!"
Moving? I thought. "Where?"
"To Ponyville! Pack your stuff and let's roll!" He answered.
Ok, I knew uncle liked quaint and quiet homes but moving? I never really thought of it.
But I decided to roll with it, since most of the snobs in Canterlot gives me headaches.
I packed some clothes and my picture of mom.
And once I opened my door, I was greeted by Uncle's hooves waiting at the door.
He grabbed my bags, (which were awfully light as I did not have many stuff.) and ran off.
I went out confused of why he was moving fast.
I then saw a carriage with a wagon attached to the back.
He put a cloth on top of the stuff we had and then attached himself to the cart.
"Ride." He ordered.
I did as he told, and made myself in the couch.
The carriage was unexpectedly comfortable despite the space. But one thing nagged me.
"Why a carriage?" I asked. "Wouldn't a train be faster?"
Uncle spread his wings and then flapped fast.
"Not for long."
We sped off. Literally. I screamed at the top of my lungs, everything was blurry, no, my eyesight is still good, everything was blurry in
a way that makes everything in the sides bend. I was actually surprised at how the wheel didn't burn from the speed.
And soon enough, we reached the borders, but he stopped. "Not gonna surprise anyone.. Especially.. especially.. her.."
He said.
"Um, excuse me uncle but I don't know what your talking about." I said, worried about his condition.
He snapped out of his trance and then unattached himself. "We're here." He announced.
We were at the edge of the village. The house was nice, the outside looked inviting but also simple.
Uncle moved the wagon closer to the house to 'make everything easier' quote unquote.
"While I move the stuff from my bags and yours," he started. "Familiarize yourself to Ponyville."
It wasn't very much of a request so I did.
The village was quiet and nice. Everypony seemed to be friendly.
Unlike those snobs, I thought.
I trotted around a bit more then I started towards my new home.
The town was nice. Nopony seemed bad and everyone was friendly. I thought.
I thought of my in-head schedule and remembered. A Summer Sun Celebration.. At this location? Ponyville?
This must've been the reason why Uncle wanted to move. I thought.
Oh How I was so wrong.
So so wrong.
I trotted back to my house, expecting nothing but my new home, Uncle, and the Summer Sun Celebration.
