Chapter 1: Welcome back to the world of the living
A large yawn echoed throughout the cave, sounding much like a fierce roar of a lion. The large purple beast’s eyes fluttered open like sunlight escaping a large canopy of trees. Its large purple scales shimmering like amethyst and its large green scales shining like emeralds in the afternoon sun. Teeth like blades that could crunch through the hardest gemstones as if they were popcorn; talons that could claw through rock like it was mere tissue paper. Spines trailed down its back, giving it a fearsome appearance, one that would have sent any lesser creature running off in fear.
As the great green eyes opened, the creature’s mouth yawned, exposing row after row of teeth. A long tongue lazily flickered out, the sensitive organ tasting the air for the first time in years. The great beast groaned, slowly rising to its feet as it began to stretch.
“Welcome back to the world of the living” Someone joked from the entrance of the cave.
The large beast sighed and turned to said entrance to see a teenaged human looking girl dressed in dark blue jeans, a black tank top and a grey hoodie with black leather heeled boots that almost reached her knees, 5’10, and the same hair and eyes as the princess of the day.
“Luna” The beast nodded.
“Spike” the girl – now identified as Luna – smiled softly.
“How long has it been?” He asked then chuckled softly. “Auntie”
The girl rolled her eyes.
“Seven years, nephew, seven years.”
“So your now eighteen?” he asked.
“Seventeen” she corrected. “Eighteen next June”
“Huh?” he said confused.
“You woke up early” She answered.
“What month is it?” Spike questioned.
“August” She chuckled.
“How’s everyone?” he asked.
“A lots changed” she sighed. ‘a little too much’
“Like what?” Spike asked.
She froze.
“I think Twilight should tell you” she answered with a gulp.
“Alright” Spike shrugged.
“Shall we return home?” Luna asked. Spike nodded in confirmation
“How’s my brother?” Spike asked as they walked threw the large tunnel.
“He’s doing well” Luna answered not looking back at him.
For the next four minutes they walked in silence till they reached outside.
"How's my mother?" Spike asked.
"Twilight's well, misses you a lot though" Luna sighed.
"I expected that" Spike chuckled. "What about the rest of the family?"
"BORING!" Luna yelled. "Blue Bloods a prick, Cadence and Shining have four foals, Rarity's a drama queen, Rainbow Dash is a Wonder Bolt, Pinkie is pinkie who opened her own bakery chain, Fluttershy opened an animal rescue, Twilight got engaged, Mom's ignoring me, Auntie Lulu still hates me for being a hybrid, AJ has made Sweet Apple Acers a national favorite and My brother is now a professional Hoofball player, my Human family hates me for disgracing their name - which is my dad's fault not mine. My Step-mother wants me to be experimented on. My human half siblings want me dead and i adopted an infant Hybrid, so you really haven't missed much."
"Oh" Spike blinked going over her words in his mind "WAIT! MOM'S ENGAGED!?!?!?"
"Yep" Luna nodded.
"WITH WHO?"
"Flash Sentry, you remember him right?"
"Yea, alright i guess i approve."
"Great" Luna smiled.
As they walked out of the cave, Spike realized that a lot has changed, nothing surrounded his cave unlike when he first fell asleep when there were huge pines guarding the entrance. The earth was bare like something had one been there for a large amount of time.
“Were they’re building’s here?” Spike asked.
“A Circus came recently” Luna lied.
“Ah” Spike nodded.
They walked away from the cave and off in the direction of Ponyville. This very cave had belonged to his ancestor a great Dragon by the name of Fang. A friendly Dragon who like himself was raised by ponies, Fang had Amber eyes and along his back were Spikes of the same color with blue scales around his body. Fang, do to the fact that he didn't want any young dragons to go threw what he did wrote a book for young dragons who were hatched and raised by ponies.
Walking down the path, Spike didn’t really think anything else looked different from seven years before. Sure, a few large trees were gone, though many more had sprung up in their places, but other than that... it was like he hadn’t fallen asleep at all.
The fact that nothing was out of the ordinary greatly pleased him.
Strolling along, he turned a corner and a familiar view came into sight; Ponyville. Ah, it really was like turning back the clock; other than maybe a dozen new buildings along the outskirts, the place hadn’t changed at all. The clock tower was right where it should be, the schoolhouse still sat on the hill, and there, near the center of town, sat the great tree library.
“Look out below!” he heard a voice shout, and ducked in time for three little blurs to pass right overhead. Spinning in midair, the little ponies looked down on the dragon, a mixture of curiosity and friendliness marking their faces. “Sorry mister; we were just racing.”
“It’s quite all right,” Spike said, looking up at the three... pegasi? They all seemed... different from what he normally believed pegasus to look like. For one, all three had bumps running along their backs, and their wings... were they sick? They seemed far larger and yet less feathery than those of other pegasi. “What are your names little ones?”
“Typhoon! Tsunami! Tempest!” Luna yelled walking over.
“Ah! Auntie!” the three exclaimed shocked.
“Auntie?” Spike asked confused.
“What are you three doing out here? Shouldn’t you be with your mother?” Luna glared.
“Momma’s training” the only one with a rainbow mane answered.
“So we decided to meet up with the other crusaders” The only boy of the group added.
“But we decided to go for a flight first” Said the Filly with a purple coat.
“Well hurry to the clubhouse, alright?” Luna asked.
“Yes ma’am” The three nodded and took to the sky again
“What was that about? And who were they?” Spike asked.
“Hm? Oh! Those three were Dashes Foals Typhoon, Tsunami and Tempest……Fast little devils had to transform whenever I watched them for RD”
“Ah” Spike nodded but them paused. “WAIT! WHATTTT!?!?!”
Luna turned to him with a raised eyebrow.
“Dash has kids?” Spike asked wide eyed.
“Yea, and?”
“How old are they?” Spike questioned.
“Six”
“RD got married?” Spike asked.
Luna burst out laughing and fell to the ground.
Spike just stared at her blinking rapidly.
“…HAHAHA…..RD?...HAHAHA...Married?.....HAHAHA......HAHAHA…..”
“….o….kay…..then……”
Luna kept laughing not showing any signs of being able to hear him to he walked away towards ponyville.
He was about halfway there when he was stopped by the three pegasi from before.
“Hey mister!” The only male called out.
“Hello you three, aren’t you supposed to be at your club house right now?” Spike asked.
“Yea, but we wanted to ask you some questions!” The rainbow mane filly answered with a bright smile.
“Well go ahead. I have some questions as well” Spike smiled.
“You first!” The purple coated filly grinned.
“What are your names?”
“I’m Typhoon!” The colt waved. He had a cyan blue coat and wings, a two toned green mane and tail, magenta eyes and green hooves.
“I’m Tsunami” The Rainbow filly beamed. She had a rainbow mane, cyan coat and wings, green eyes and purple hooves.
“I’m Tempest!” The Purple coated filly grinned again. She had a purple coat and wings, magenta eyes, a two toned green mane and cyan hooves.
“It’s nice to meet you three” Spike smiled. “I’m Spike”
The three foals eyes widened. And they jumped at him.
“DADDY!!!” They screamed.
“w-WHAT!?!?” Spike yelled shocked.
Luna ran up wide eyed.
"SHIT!" She yelled horrified.
