Their were many reasons why Cherilee loved Canterlot. Other then it being Princess Celestia and Princess Luna's home, and other then it's positive vibe, she was able to go to Canterlot's library. It's big, and it houses many books that she can read to her class. They would always want a new story everyday, but she wonders if they actually learn something from some of the stories she tells... Coming to a stop next to the library's entrance, Cherilee pushes the door open, bringing in the fresh and old smell of books around her. Walking in, she starts to think about what type of book would be the best to them, and heads to the children's books. "Do my students even want another filly book anymore? They're growing so fast." She wonders about that, and thinks about the C.M.C., and their crazy little actions that they do just so they can get there cutie marks. They are trying after all. She stands next to the children's book section, but stops to see but a familiar face across from her. Twilight, with her horn lit up, levitates many books that are about old history and other books that intrigue her. Frustrated, she drops them all and looks in the shelves for another book. Cherilee couldn't help but ask what the problem was since she was there looking. "Hello Twilight. May I ask what's troubling you?" As she asked, Twilight turns around to look directly at her. "Hello Ms. Cherilee. I'm just trying to find a book about spells that anyone, even a Pegasus and Earth pony can use. It kinda does sound hard to believe, but I think it's possible. I just need proof." Twilight levitates the books back onto the shelves, and picks up any notes that she took. "Well this is a big library, so you might come across something that relates to your problem. As for me, I was on my way to where the children's books are, and I'm just caught up as to what story I should read to them." The two of them walk to the other section, and Cherilee begins to search for the right book. Twilight helps out to by going down the alphabet to see what story catches her eye. "Thanks for helping. I would've been in a tight situation if I wasn't able to find the right book here." "The pleasures all mine. Besides, I need to get my head back together for today." As they search for a book, their was one in particular that Cherilee found odd. It was very old, and it looked like it hasn't even been touched in many years. She gets the feeling of why a book like this would be in this section, other than being mistakenly placed there, but somehow it was the only different book that was in that section. Questioning this, she gets it from the shelf, and blows the dust from it, revealing smudged up words, and a picture that she couldn't really recognize, but she can somewhat tell that it was a pony of some sort. "Oh, did you find a book? I've already found a couple that I'm sure the little ponies might like." Twilight interrupts, walking to her with determination. When she first looks at the unknown book, she gets an odd feeling, like the book is holding something from her. With the two staring in complete silence, Cherilee finally opens the book slowly to reveal to blank pages. The rest of the pages were written in perfect cursive. So perfect that neither Cherilee nor Twilight couldn't understand or comprehend it. Other pages were either ripped out of the book, missing, stained with an unknown stain, or just smudged. The ripped and missing pages seemed to get Twilight's attention, as she looks at the rips where the missing pages use to be. She determines that the pages were forcedly ripped out, as if trying to keep it away from someone. "I wonder where this came from, because it seems to be coming apart. And it looks like it was buried a long time ago... Who would put such a messed up book in here?" Examining it some more, Cherilee turns to the back of the last page of the book. There, the two can clearly see the handwriting has changed. It was still hard to read, but they can understand bits and pieces of words, including the word Equestria. Still very curious about this mysterious book, they turn to the librarian to see of she knows any known information about it. "We've found this book in the children's books section, and we was wondering if this was place there by accident," Cherilee starts, and hands the worn out book to the librarian. Everything seemed to be normal until she gives off a confused glance at the other mares, then back at the book, and abruptly says, "I'm sorry, but I don't know anything about this here. In fact, I never even knew something like this existed in my library, and I always check every nook and cranny of anything that doesn't belong in a certain place."  Going back to sorting out library cards, the other two ponies take some steps back to talk about it. "Odd isn't it? Even the librarian doesn't even know where this came from, and she's here day and night," Twilight says with her hoof on her head, scratching it. She opens the book once again, careful to not mess up anymore pages. Suddenly, she gasps as she goes to a specific page that has a drawn picture of two alicorns circling what appears to be the earth, but she couldn't quite tell. Cherilee comes over and ask while startled, "Isn't that the same symbol that is used today? And wasn't the also the exact same one that was used in the Hearth's Warming Eve tale? If so, then this book might be about that, or have more to it." Just as she that, the doors to the library swing wide open, revealing Princess Celestia with a couple of books in her bag. She takes a glance at the two mares. "Hello Twilight and Cherilee. How is everything?" She says while giving the books back to the librarian, and renewing some. She gives a slight glance at the book Twilight was holding, and gives off a light smile. "Hello Princess Celestia," Twilight is the first to start. "Me and Cherilee found this weird looking book, and so far their are pages missing, and familiar pictures and words that are drawn here. Do you know about this?" Celestia stares at the book, making Twilight and Cherilee think that she doesn't know about it, but seeing a gentle smile and a nod coming from her suggest that she does know about it. She takes the battered up book and flips through it until she see's the drawing of the two alicorns. "I'm not surprised that you and Cheirilee found this book, mainly because it' not really important anymore, as no one, including myself, cannot read such perfect cursive." She stops and levitates the book back where it was. "But, their was something I was meaning to tell you. So far I have told my sister and Cadence. Follow me to my castle Twilight. You are welcomed to join to Ms. Cherilee, since you were the one who found it." She starts to walk out of the library, but pauses when Twilight walks in front next to her. "Do you know if this is a story about Heart's Warming Eve? Is there more to it?" The only response she got from Princess Celestia was a smile before walking out, expecting the two mares to follow her, and they do so with curiosity... Passing the castle entrance and Celestia's throne, they come to a halt next to a door that looks like it leads to the bathroom, but as the sign reads basement, Twilight smiles. "I didn't know there was a basement here, must have many books down there doesn't it?" Celestia nods and opens the door, the candles lead their way down with a faint glow. Celestia is the first to go. "Twilight, there is more than you think down here. Consider this as a sort of history lesson told by me as you two look at the many things that are down here. Keep in mind that even though we keep up with them, these artifacts are still very old, and can break or turn different colors If you touch them to much or knock them over. That's why no one other than Luna and Cadence were allowed here." When Twilight and Cherilee both nodded at the statement, only the sounds of the stairs were heard, and it starts to creep Cherilee out just a little bit. Coming to a stop, all that Twilight and Cherilee saw were old books, statues, jewelry, and other unknown artifacts that Twilight certainly didn't recognize. "Look at all this stuff. Their so old. These books look more cleaner and sturdier than that book we saw earlier. Princess Celestia, what is this all about?" The dim light at the corn of the room is seen by Cherilee, and as she walks closer to that spot, she see's a brown cloth covering something. Walking a bit closer, she notices that something is glowing a bright blue beneath it. Caught off guard by the light, she gets startled by Celestia walking to her along with Twilight. "The book that you saw was not ordinary. It is a diary, and it belonged to one of the founders of Equestria. She recorded the events in her life, and how it affect us today. To answer your question Twilight, the answer is no, the diary has nothing to do with Hearth's Warming Eve. It takes place before every story that you read and told." Celestia lift up the cloth and reveals a blue butterfly crystal with a gold diamond shape in the middle. It's looks brand new, clean, and very shiny and lights up the whole room. She continues. "This here is a pendant that belonged to her, and it was once put on her as a crown, but it has broken off, and this was all that's left. It looks new because she enchanted it with her eternal magic. Meaning that it keeps it's gleam. Twilight, Cherilee, the tale of what I'm about to tell you is the story of Quest, the sole founder of Equestria, the owner of this pendant, and the one who shaped our history. Many battles, sacrifices, and tears were shed from her to build this land out of harmony and friendship, so you must understand her decisions. Her legacy was long forgotten for a reason, but not hidden from me, and it will not be hidden from the both of you." She signals them to sit so she can retell the tale. "Hearing a story from Princess Celestia? I will surely remember this day!" Cherilee gets excited, but Twilight still tries to process what Celestia had just said to them. She was thinking about why this story was kept from her, and after all the stories she's read, she wonders why this one was so secretive. Unable to answer her own question, she sits and listens. Princess Celestia, with a slight pause finally says, "I will start from the very beginning, before her time on this world. The first part will be about how the dragons lived in there own harmony, and yes, they are very important in this here story. Are you ready? Let's begin..." //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 Chapter 1 This is but one of the tales that were kept from the minds of ponies... Long ago, their was a prosperous land that was well kept by the hands of the dragons. These were no normal dragons, but they were the first guardians of the land. Some were small, and some were huge. The rulers of the land were the ones who took the form of many land masses , and became the size of mountains and volcanos. These dragons were called Deity Dragons... The oldest and more wises of them was Deity. He was bigger than any know mountain, and provided food, crops, meat, and jewels. He also looked over the land with care, and made sure no one would attack his family. One day, the Deity decided to divide the other rulers to different places where dragons need help. So, he sent all five of his partners to other regions. Bellatrix was assigned to the region of ice, Hadar to the desert region, Sirius in the forest region, Orion in the Swamp region, Asis in the water region, and Deity's brother Dense Slate was assigned to the savanna region. All of them had their own responsibilities, and were responsible for whatever happened on there region. The land was full of happiness and glee... But one morning, out of nowhere, forces of the unknown called the dark monsters terrorized the land, and eventually made their way to the dragon land, and to claim it as their own. Pleading to the rulers to help them, they hid in terror to whey out the danger of the dark forces. The rulers were in constant battle with them, shedding blood and power so their family can live in peace. Over the course of months, and as the day never rose since, the dark ones subsided, and the rulers, who were badly weakened, went of to there homes to rest, and let the other dragons clean and find loved ones who were dragged away by the dark forces... Finally seeing the light of day, the dragons, who now overcame the horrible attack, was soon faced with other problems that they could not understand. Their loved ones and friends whom they found alive had a strange power. They were able to levitate objects, make them disappear, transport them somewhere else, and turn them into different things. This scared dragon, but eventually they got used to it and continued there daily life with strange new powers. The dark monsters who tried to take over the dragon's lives were taking it's toll on one of the rulers. Dense Slate, who took care of his lands dragons could not overcome the darkness that was taking over him. He enslaved his people, hurting them, and sometimes never feeding them, and throughout the days the land became dry and lonely. His brother Deity saw this, and tried to stop his brother from hurting the dragons, but Dense Slate was too far gone, as he challenges his own brother for his own land. Deity was able to stop his brother, and banished him to a far and desolate land. The rulers, fearing that they to would be taken over by the darkness, left their land and gave it to the hands of the dragons they once took care of, and told them that the dark force will not touch them, and that the Deity dragons will always be there to help them if something happens... No one knows where they went, but their legend lives on in the dragons breath. The land that Dense Slate left behind is now in the hands of ponies, and there they are able to find true destiny. The elder ponies who know the story inspire the young ones to be as courageous and strong as the dragons in the legend, and tells them to make a difference that could turn their dreams into reality... //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 Chapter 1 The sound of little foals can be heard from a school. They have just got out from hearing the story of the Deity dragons, and some of them pretend to be the dragons from legends, grabbing sticks and battling out to see who's victorious. Their was one filly in particular that decided to go home instead of hanging with the others. She was different from the rest, and because of that, she didn't have any friends. This didn't bother her, for she had many mares and stallions who adore her, and love her as their own daughter. Her name was Quest, the Pegasus who, at this time, didn't know how to fly yet. Her dream is to explore hidden places and discover new land, and she wasn't going to let the foals ruin her plans of succeeding. Quest opens the door to her medium - sized house, only to be greeted by her mother who was waiting for her. "Hello mother," she simply says. Her mother, Sun Spot, welcomes her with a smile and a kiss on the check. Since Quest was the only foal, her parents took special care of her, and rarely let her out to the open fields to hang out. Her parents wouldn't be so worried if she friends going with her, but apparently her mother and father was aware of her not having friends. "Welcome home Quest. what did you learn today? Did anyone get the chance to talk to you? She hates to ask her own filly about that, but she couldn't help it. It's very nice to be looked up to by the other adult ponies, but it still bothered her that no one of Quest's age wanted to be her friend, or by any chance know her any better. It's not because she's more to herself, it's her presence and an aura around her that makes her special, and Sun Spot smiled at Quest while fixing her hair, and telling her to stop covering half of her face. Quest fixes her hair back the way she wanted it and adds, "I like my hair like this, and no mother, no one has talked to me yet, but I'm not going to let that get to me. Their just jealous of me, so it's a good thing that I'm not their friend." "It is a good thing to have friends. Their able to help you with anything, and that includes flying." She goes back into their small kitchen and washes her hands, and Quest heads upstairs. "I can just ask the adults for help, like you and dad? In fact, where is dad?" She finished climbing up the stairs and goes by her parent's room door and knocks. No answer. "Dusk Shower went to go pick up more wood for the fireplace dear, he'll be back later," Sun Spot yells from the kitchen. Quest hears and yells an ok and heads to her room. Once in, she immediately grabs her diary from her dresser where her candle is lit, picks up a inked feather, opens her book, and thinks about what to write. She thinks about what happened today, and yesterday, but then remembers about a dream she had last night. It wasn't a memorable dream, but it interest her. Flattening out the page, she begins to write, but stops again when she thinks about the phrase 'Dear Diary.' Being it to cliché, she writes something else to replace it, then writes ahead. "Dear King Deity, today, well last night, I had this weird dream. I didn't know what it meant, but it was fascinating. It was about two Alicorns, one was light, and one was darker colored. I don't know if the colors mean bad or good, but they were doing something..." She was interrupted by the sound of foals outside her window. She peeks and see's three fillies mocking her and saying that Quest's only friend is a stupid diary, and she should really get a life. She quickly shuts her window doors and continues about what to write next. She then decided that drawing something was another option, and started to sketch the two Alicorns circling the Earth, and the aura around it in the shape of a peace sign. "Even though Alicorns are the most powerful beings now, they will not be able to live her in Clydesdale. Magic isn't allowed here, and if these silly ponies see something that's not right with somepony, they'll do court, judge them, and hang them. I don't know why were so scared of magic... I guess they don't want to take orders from a higher being perhaps? We need one so they can teach these stupid foals a lesson..."The sound of the front door opening takes Quest from her writing, and here's her dad yell an I'm home to her mother. Closing her diary, she runs downstairs to greet him. "Hey their Quest. How was your day?" He says simply while putting the logs in the fireplace and the rest in a cabinet. "It was good dad. Same as always. When are you going to give me more flying lessons?" Quest said happily. "You hardly ever teach me anymore. I know your busy and all, but you should have time for me. She was now pouting at him, but only did that so he can feel sorry for her and end up saying yes or I'll teach you, but he wasn't for it this time, so instead he told her about the weather conditions today, and how she should pay attention to the weather more since she's a Pegasus. "Well, how about tomorrow? Please?" "Alright Quest. Tomorrow I promise." He stops for a drink of water, then says, "And promise me you'll make some friends tomorrow." Quest gave a groan and a fine as she runs upstairs to her room again. She can hear faint snicker and laughter outside her window, but doesn't bother to open it and see who their talking about. She into her bathroom, and was about to brush her teeth when she caught herself staring at a birth mark on her right hoof. It was in the shape of a butterfly, and ever since then she was picked on because of it. "Why am I the one to get picked on? I didn't do anything to them... Why? Is it because my family is rich is many ways, or am I just a selfish show off? Tears pour down as she slides down to the ground, with her hair now covering her right eye. She cries because she blames herself for being so adored by the adults, she blames herself for getting bullied, and she also blames herself for hating her real name that her parents gave her. She would never speak of that name because of how weird it sounded, and how it separates from everyone else's name. Oh how she was different. Quest thought that this weakness wouldn't stop her from anything, but at this moment, it stopped her from believing in what she can do that very hour... Back in the kitchen, while cooking today's meal, Sun Spot notices little spots hovering in the air. She stops and looks confusingly, blinking a few times when suddenly a wave of pain coursed though her stomach, and caused her to fall.. She was also coughing, and she felt like throwing up, but nothing cam up. Dusk Shower runs to her and cradles her. "I thought the doctor said that the sickness was just going to pass." Ever since Dusk was with Sun Spot, she had been going sickness after sickness, and at one point it stopped her from going outside, talking, or having foals. But Dusk knew that this illness was getting worse by the days, and his worriedness increases as well. He helps his sickly mare up and says, "you still haven't told Quest about this. When are you going to tell her about this-" "I can't. At least, not right now. I don't want her to worry about this at a young age, as long as I'm living, I still have a chance." She interrupts, balancing her way up. "But what happens when you don't have that chance? What happens if their is no cure for your sickness? All these years you were sick, but not like this. Tomorrow when Quest is at school, I'm taking you back to the doctor to see if you'll feel better soon." "Thanks dear for looking out for me. And yes, I will tell Quest about it. Let's just hope this illness goes permanently..." //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 Chapter 3 The next day came by in an instant, and Quest wasn't expecting it to be a rather good day. So, to keep her occupied, she bought her diary so she can right what's on her mind. Many foals swarm to the school, almost nearly tripping her, and some just hang around until their called into class. As she was walking to a nearby tree, a group three fillies in the distance mock her. "Hey look! It's the weird filly! What are you doing here? You know we don't you here!" The leader of the group is the first to poke fun at her. Then everyone else carries it along. "That tree is meant for mules like you!" Another one says while covering her nose gesturing that Quest smells. "Don't make her look at us! We'll catch the stupidity." The last one turns her back at the blue hair filly. Laughing at her, she walks off to find a place where she can have more privacy. Once she finds another tree to lay under, she opens her diary and begins to write again with tears forming in her eyes. "It seems as though no one at the school likes me still. I don't know why, and I haven't anything to them. I wish the adults could do more to stop foals like those three... I could do something if I wanted to, but what would the adults think? would they still treat me so kindly? I just want all of this to stop." Wiping the tears from her eyes, she closes her book for now and heads to her class to again be mistreated by the others who disapprove of her. While inside, she can see every other foal sitting and waiting for the teacher to arrive. They suddenly grow silent when Quest shows up in the class, but continues to talk and go one about soon after. She can clearly hear the three fillies chuckle at her and notice her diary on her. She ignores them and sits in her seat. Since the teacher liked Quest, she moved her to the front of the classroom. Not that it bothered her, it's just that being the only one in the front makes other look like their not important. The teacher finally walks in in a fast pace, giving the students a 'hello' and 'sorry I'm late.' Noticing Quest, she walks to her. "Good morning Quest, how are you?" The teacher pats Quest on the head, and Quest gives her a bright smile, forgetting about the other foals who are jealous of her and who don't like her at all. Her teacher is always the one who puts Quest in a good mood, and actually makes her feel important, and that she's there for her. Nodding at Quest, she goes to the very front of the classroom and silences the class so she can begin her lesson for today. At the doctor, Sun Spot was waiting for the results, with Dusk Shower by her side. Sun didn't seem more terrified than Dusk. She learned to get use to the illness that occurred over time. Dusk was tapping his hoof on the ground as Sun puts her hoof on his shoulder. "You don't have to wait for the results you know. Didn't you say you was going to be busy until sun set?" She was curious as to why her husband took the time to go to the doctor with her. He usually doesn't like doctors, so she was a little confused this time. "I want to know the truth about it. What if the doctors aren't doing what their supposed to do?" He added. "Their doing all they can to cure my illness." She responds. "Do they think this is some average illness?" He responds back angrily. "Dusk, we have been in this town since we were foals. These doctors know this, and they try to find a cure for me even when I'm not feeling sick." She sits down and looks out the window. "My mother was also ill until her last breath. She told me to live, and don't let it stop you, no matter how bad it is. You can't wait to die just because you grow deathly ill." "Don't talk like that Sun. I know she meant well, but this is you, and you are living. You need to be here with Quest, so she can grow up with both her parents." Dusk responds while looking at her. "True, but some events you can't stop, even if is a cure..." Her tone get lower while she said that. Sun thinks about what she just said, and ask herself why she said that, and why she didn't have faith in herself. She does want to spend her life with her family, but how could she think of that if she only has a while even live? Snapping out of herself, she stares at Dusk with a look of disarray. "I'm sorry dear. I got to carried away, and didn't think about what I was saying. That is why I don't really like to talk about my illness, because it bring cold feelings. I'm just glad Quest didn't catch it, nor you." She grabs Dusk's hoof. "As long as Quest is able to live a healthy life, I'll feel much better. She is all that matter's to me, and I don't want that type of burden on her." He couldn't help but give a smile at her. She's right he thought. As long as Quest was able to live, he was ok with anything in his way. But he couldn't help but feel strange about it, like a gut feeling like something, anything will come between Quest and her unknown destiny. Giving it a second thought, he forgets about it, saying that it's the atmosphere making him think like that. A couple of minutes in silence was interrupted by the doctor, who had a piece of paper in his hand, and a quill. "Welcome back you two. I have the results for today, and I'm glad you picked this day to come. How is Quest? "What do you mean? Is their something going on?" Dusk says, ignoring the question the doctor asked. The doctor was hesitant until he looked at Sun Spot. She gave him a soft smile, meaning that it's ok. So he speaks, "Your illness is getting worse throughout the days, but this time theirs another situation at hand. It seems that the dizziness and the spots are caused by a lack of oxygen, and the pain in your stomach indicates that the sickness is traveling into the lower part, the vulnerable portion of your body and attacking it, resulting in oxygen loss." "But I didn't know I wasn't breathing at times, and I end up catching myself. Is that bad?" Sun quickly speaks. "I don't know, but you should at least stay home, and not get stressed out. Theirs no telling what would happen now, but I'm still looking for something that could help cure it. It's just so hard to locate the problem because of the lack of resources." Dusk was about to say something until Sun stopped him, telling him that their doing all they can to help, and they just need hope. "Well, alright. Thank you for helping, and let us know when something comes up, and we'll be right here." They both wave a goodbye to the doctor as the doctor nods and closes the door, rubbing is head and sighing as though he didn't tell them everything, but he couldn't explain the rest if he didn't have proper evidence... Their were only three hours left until school finally ended, and Quest couldn't wait any longer. Getting hit with pencils and mocking whispers from the class made her angry, and she couldn't bare it any longer. She wanted to scream at the silence of the room for making her go through this all. Opening her eyes, she takes out her diary and finds a pencil, only to find them all broken by the foals and thrown at her, along with throwing paper balls calling her weird. Sighing, she sets the book back down on her desk, wary to the laughter and the tapping of the teacher's hoof. Earlier that day their was recess, where most of the fillies played hide and seek, and they sarcastically ask Quest to go and find them, only to be ditched by them. She didn't fall for it this time. Then, their were these colts who were messing with her hair and swinging it around and making it all messy, while calling her chicken because of how her wings can't lift her off the ground. After those quarrels, she tries to find a place where the teacher might be, or someplace without all the ruckus, and that's usually by a scattered tree. The only thing she does is lay there and daydream about adventure, the feeling of exploration, and finally rubbing it in on the other foals faces when they see her as successful. Feeling the cool breeze on her hair, she pushes it back and gives a sigh of relief that the teacher let's her do what she wants out of school grounds. Speaking of which, she heard the teacher call her name a couple of times, more than usual... Snapping out of her nap, she wakes up to find the classroom staring at her, and the teacher telling her and the others that the day is over, and they can go home now. Being the first one out, Quest makes her way out the classroom, and outside, going to the direction of her home, while stopping in her tracks to see somepony getting arrested by the leaders of Clydesdale. Looking closely, she can see that the leaders are carrying a box out of his house, and it seems to be full of books and paper. 'They probably thought he was doing magic, but he's not a unicorn. I guess somepony was suspicious.' She thought as she continues to walk back home. Miles later she can hear hoofs walking behind her, and she guessed that it was the three fillies again trying to mess with her. Quest turns around, and to her surprise, she saw not only the three, but others from her class. It wasn't the whole class, but more than she thought. "What are you doing following me?" She responds. "The question is, what are YOU doing talking to us you mule?" The leader puts a devious smile on her face as she says that. "We was wondering what that book was you were carrying." Quest frowns. "It's none of your concern." She walks off with no care, but is later surrounded by the group. "Give me that book. What's so special about it huh?" The leader pushes Quest in the crowd, and they group tries to take the book from her. "Stop! Nothing's in it!" That's all Quest could say, and she is shocked as to why she couldn't say anything else. The leader of the ruthless group opens the book and laughs wickedly. "Oh look. It's a diary! What a wimp! Her only friend is a diary!" Her and the rest of the group starts to laugh while Quest tries to get the book from them as they throw it back and fourth. One of the fillies pushes her down, and the leader reads the book out loud. "Dear Diary, I still didn't have a good time at school, all of the foals were mocking me and I just want to do something about it. HA!" All of them bust out laughing, and the leader drops the diary into a nearby pile of dirt. "She can't even tell us what she really thinks. She's like a turtle I mean come on! why do all of the mares and stallions like you better? You can't even fly, and you have no friends. She then walks slowly to Quest. "But I feel for your parents, I really do, especially for your mother. She must be glad that she's ill so she won't have to see your face anymore." That statement made her mad. No one talks about her mother like that. Quest knew that her mother kept that a secret from her, but with a reason, so she didn't mind it at all, but the leader of the group she thought was the worse. Getting up, she looks at the leader with angry eyes. Walking up to her, she immediately moves her long blue hair from her face and says, "At least I have a mother..." That was all she had to say, before socking the leader right in the jaw, knocking her down. The leader clinches her jaw and screams. "Help! Quest punched me on purpose!" The mares and stallions all run up to the crowd and surround the leader, and she starts to cry fake tears. "She punched me and I fell. Someone stop her please." Quest didn't care about how much the mares and stallions adore her, she wanted everything to stop, to finally leave her alone. "She made fun of my mother! Does anyone even care about what I'm going through to put up with all this?! She is to blame not me!" After saying that without a tear in sight, she picks up her book and runs away, to her home, where she should feel safe there. She was like a whole new pony saying those words to the leader and to everyone. They needed it, for Quest was hurting in a way that no one in Clydesdale would understand. She opens the door to her house, not bothering to say hello to her parents. Dusk Shower is the first to say, "Hey Quest, you wanted some flying lessons?" She was already upstairs and in her room by the time he said that. "Forget about it!" She yells down to her father. Throwing her book down on her bed, Quest could only look at herself in the mirror. Her hair was messed up from falling and being pushed around, and not to mention being all dirty to. She ached about what she said to them, not because it was wrong, but because it was right. The mares and stallions loved her because she was unique and was smarter than many other foals, and some disregarded their own because of how special she was, other than not being able to fly. She opens up her wings and stares at them. She makes them flap just a bit before closing them. She smiles a big smile soon after. "I glad I'm different from them. They need someone like me who can knock some sense into these ponies." She jumps onto her bed and opens her dirtied up diary. Not wanting to write in it right now, she decides to just flip through the pages, including the one with the perfectly drawn picture of the two Alicorns circling the Earth... "What was that all about?" Dusk ask to Sun, and Sun looked just as confused as he did. "I guess something happened at school maybe? She didn't want a flying lesson, that's what confused me the most. She refuses that." Walking to the first step she calls to her daughter. "Quest. Is everything alright?" Immediately Quest shouts back, "I'm just fine mother! Tell dad I'll be down for the flying lesson in a second!" Dusk Shower heard clear as day. He scratched his head. "I thought she didn't want to do the lesson, unless I'm hearing things." "No, I guess it was a misunderstanding to us. She was probably in a good mood before she even came in." "I guess I better get ready for her lesson." He says happily, still a little moody about the visit to the doctor, but perking himself, he goes outside to wait for Quest...
