The Forgotten Princess

          The sun was slowly setting and Twilight just finished the first chapter of a book she was reading. Spike lit some candles for her to see. Twilight kindly thanked him and turned the page. She looked out the window and saw the starry night. Twilight looked a little more closely at what it seemed, a moving star. At first she thought it was just a shooting star, but then once it got closer, there was no way it could be one. The star came bursting into the atmosphere and crashed into the Everfree Forest.

          Twilight decided to investigate, but first, she had to put Spike to bed. After all, he was a baby dragon. She tucked him under his covers and kissed him good-night. After that, she stormed off into the forest. Twilight saw Zecora and asked her if she saw the star.

          "Yes, my dear Twilight," responded Zecora, " And what you'll find is surely a highlight!"

What does she mean by that?, thought Twilight.

          "Okay. Thanks!," she said.

          Twilight saw some sparks behind a tree and trotted over there. She didn't want to get too close, so she hid behind a bush. What she was unbelievable! A dark grey alicorn with a flowing turquoise mane stood before her. Looking lost, she wandered around a little and Twilight followed her. Twilight soon found the courage to speak to the mysterious mare who came from space.

          "Um, excuse me?," she asked politely, "Do you need help?"

          The mare looking quite surprised that she was being followed narrowed her eyes and looked at Twilight.

          "Why have thou followed us?," the new pony spoke with a booming voice, "Who art thou?"

          "Uh, I'm Princess Twilight Sparkle. The princess of the Magic Rainbow Friendship Kingdom? Haven't heard of me?", asked Twilight.

          "No," said the mare, "Could you help us? We must find Nightmare Moon."

Nightmare Moon? Why does she want her?, thought Twilight.

          "My friends and I defeated her with the Elements of Harmony. Why do you need her? Princess Luna is at Canterlot if you mean her."

          "Very well. Take me to Princess Luna."

          "Well, we can go in the morning. Its late. You stay at my castle for the night if you want!"

          "Fine."

          Twilight showed the mare the way to Ponyville and then to a room in a castle for her to sleep in.

          "You never told me your name.", said Twilight.

          "I'm sure Princess Luna can tell you."

          Twilight sighed and walked to her room. She wondered who the mare was and what she was doing here and why she came from space. Twilight could barely sleep that night with so many thing on her mind. She wondered what the mare wanted with Nightmare Moon or if she was friend or foe!
