The day it all went to hell

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

I awoke near a little hill, I was confused for a moment until I remembered what had happened preceding this. I decided to look myself over for any damage, and noticed I was not wearing my clothing, I had somehow been switched into a white dress shirt and torn blue jeans. I had kept my hat, and gun (somehow now with ammunition) , and of course that stupid watch that had somehow gotten me here. "Well screw me sideways why don'cha?" I looked left, rolling green hills, to my right, dark scary forest.

"Left it is then." I said, walking in the aforementioned direction. That is, until I tripped over something.

"Uuughhh." The offending object groaned.

"Found Kevin, at least I'm not alone." I muttered under my breath.

"Aw hell man, what did we drink last night dude, forties?" Kay muttered while rising off of the ground.

I got up and dusted myself off straightening my shoulder rig and looking down.

"It'll come to ya Kay." I waited for a full thirty seconds before he started freaking out, he looked himself over and took the watch out of the inside pocket of his faded leather jacket and flipped it open probably hoping to get home again, he repeated this process several times until I took ahold of his right hand, after calming him down I decided to check our gear it was listed as such:

1 Colt .44 six shot revolver (with six corresponding rounds): Matt

Torn jeans (2 pair): Kay and Matt

1 brown leather jacket: Kay

1 Flannel plaid shirt with left chest pocket: Kay

1 White dress shirt: Matt

1 empty brown rucksack: debatable ownership, but it turned up with Kay

1 white Stetson: Kay

1 rust colored Stetson: Matt

1 sterling silver pocket watch: Matt

1 bronze and ebony fob watch: Kay

"That's pretty much it Kevin." I sighed at the distinct lack of Oreos.

"I'm scared man, like, really, really scared. I don't think we'll find anyone out here man." Kay started to slightly convulse as we trekked the seemingly endless green landscape.

"Don't be to sure brotha', look at that!" I jerked his head to look in the general direction I was looking.

"Oh thank The Lord in heaven!" He yelled as we both started running along the train tracks.
