The sum of our sins

Twilight stared in pure awe at the new fusion born warrior. Celestia’s spell did the trick, it created a being from the three fillies, a being capable of destroying Boreas.

Crusader looked at him with the smuggest smile, she stepped forward, which caused Boreas to step back in fear. “Scared yet?” She said, her voice sounded of three mares voices overlapping. “Feel a shiver down your spine? As if your mind is telling you, you’re going to lose? Feel the same fear, that so many ponies felt when you killed them?!” She was no longer smiling. She was frowning, and it read, ‘You’re dead.’ “I’ll make you feel the same, pain and fear you instilled in Rainbow dash, when you killed her!”

This rang a bell in Borea's mind and he finally responded. “Oh it’s you. The little kid that would follow Rainbow Dash around. What was it? Scootaloo?” He smiled, Rainbow dash’s mind tells me all about you, of how much you loved her... And of how weak you are.”

Crusader dashed at him, “You're the weak one!” She screamed flailing her fore-legs out in an attempt to hit him. He was dodging each punch, he was still faster then her. He reeled his arm up in an attempt to counter. But just then a energy blast came from the side and hit him right in the back. He flinched from the pain and was then caught up in the stream of Crusader’s punches. Twilight turned to see that Celestia had fired the blast. Her face was puffy from crying and her eyes were red, she fell to the ground to spectate the Crusader’s fight. Crusader had impacted his chest and fore head, she then slid under him and slammed her rear-legs into his gut sending him flying up into the air. Breaking through the ceiling, he stopped himself from ascending any further and looked down to Crusaders. He was mad, he raised his hand and began to charge up a large blast. A ball formed on his hand, it soon grew larger and larger, till it was larger then the throne room.

He let it drift down before it rushed towards the Crusader at top speed.

“Get down!” Celestia screamed, all of them got to the ground and put there hooves over their heads. All except for Crusader, she simply gave a smirk and stood up on her hind legs. The energy bomb grew closer and closer, eating away at the Ceiling and making it’s way towards her. She simply held her hoof out and a green aura formed around it.

“Lightning cannon!” She screamed as an untamed magical light came from her hoof and pushed the energy bomb back. It fought against it until finally sending both attacks rushing towards Boreas.

A magnificent explosion of light in the sky appeared as both attacks exploded in Boreas’s face.  When the smoke and light cleared, Boreas was shown hovering in the sky. Three forth’s of his limbs where destroyed and black blood was seeping out. He was in agony.

“Crusader!” Celestia screamed at her, “Finish him off now! Before he regenerates!” But she just stood there fixated on him.

“No.” She replied softly. “I want him to suffer. I want him to feel the pain of every one of his victims times a thousand.” Her voice summarized her feelings, cold, unfeeling and vengeful.

Boreas gave a groan of pain and his limbs reformed themselves. He looked at her with fear written all over his face. He took a quick look to his left and basted off to get away from her. He needed to heal, to rethink his plan. No. He needed to survive, that’s what was most important at the moment.

“No you don’t!” she screamed as she spread her wings and launched out into the open to catch him.

Twilight stood up and looked towards the sky. She had just witnessed a miracle in every sense of the word. A Pegasus using magic. A being born of three small fillies. And most of all Boreas being injured. This whole day had felt like a nightmare, but now it was beginning to feel like a dream. She turned to Celestia and saw how broken she was. Enveloped in her failure and fear she laid there in fetal position sobbing. She looked so pathetic and hopeless, Twilight had to say something, so she approached her and bent down to comfort her. ‘It’s ok... We can revive them. It’s not-”

“It’s all my fault!” She said as she flung her head up and screamed. “If I at least tried to stop him... Maybe... Maybe things could have turned out differently!” She bent her head back down. “I’m tired of being afraid...”

A tear rolled down Twilight’s face. She couldn't say anything. It would be hypocritical to say any words of encouragement. Because she was afraid to. Fear ruled her life for so long. From when she was a filly and she was so afraid of the bullies she couldn’t go to school for a few days. To the present day were she feared her hidden rage and power. She simply sighed and rested her head on Celestia.

A soft sobbing could be heard at the end of the hall. Celestia noted this and her ears shot back as she realized what it was. “Twilight... I’m so sorry about your friends.”

Twilight got up and saw the source of the cries. Fluttershy stood over her friends corpses. Twilight soon joined her and stared down at there lifeless bodies. She knew that they could be brought back from the dead. She knew that. But it still hurt. Tears flowed down her face and she cocked her head and walked over and closed there eyes.

Fluttershy wiped her tears and walked over to Twilight. She raised her hoof and a warm light formed around her. Soon Fluttershy healed all the wounds that Boreas inflicted onto Twilight.

Twilight turned and nodded to Fluttershy in a gesture of thanks. She then turned to both Celestia and Fluttershy. “We should go see how Crusader is doing.” They all weakly nodded and took flight. Following Crusader’s life force till they found both Boreas and Crusader hoovering over the Everfree forest.

Boreas was heavily wounded, he was gasping for air and holding his stomach. He gritted his teeth and shot himself at Crusader swinging. She kept dodging each punch and when he tried to swing at her with his leg.  She blocked it and grabbed it. She then brought her arm down in one swift motion and sliced his leg off. He cried out in pain and retreated.

“Quit mocking me!” He screamed. He tensed up his body and regenerated his missing limp.

“It seems to me that you’re biding your time. You want to survive. But guess what? Your time has come to an end.”  She vanished and reappeared behind him slamming her hooves into his back side sending him correning towards the ground. But Crusader dove down and slammed him back up. She repeated the pattern three times until Boreas stopped himself in mid air. Crusader vanished again and Boreas turned around  and punched the air behind  him in a attempt to hit her. But rather she appeared in front of him and pressed her hooves into his chest. He turned around to see this just when a neon green color light emerged from her hoof and devoured him.

When the light slowly dimmed a black blob was in place of Boreas’s body. It fell through the sky onto the ground with a loud  ‘plop’and sat there melting. Boreas’s mind was barely alive. He needed a plan to survive. He scanned the area for a power source that he  could absorb. There was a powerful life force to the west. But it was too far away but it was coming towards him at a high speed. He can worry about that later. He scan and found three high powered beings walking towards him... But there was one. That was stronger then the other two. He set his sights on the power source and played dead.

Twilight walked with the group to the black blob that was Boreas. “It’s over.” she said calmly. She leaned against Celestia and they both gave a collective sigh. They could feel there was barely  any life left in the melted corpse and it was fading away.

Crusader flew down behind them and asked. “Is he dead?”

Celestia nodded, “You did it hero.” She smiled and walked over to her to celebrate.

But Fluttershy was not so convinced. She stepped over to the corpse and tapped it. It stuck to her, so she tried to wipe it off but another part of the corpse latched onto her.

Twilight heard Fluttershy’s screams for help and they turned around to see her body being merged with Boreas’s melted body. Crusader got onto her hind legs and began to charge up an attack. “No!” Twilight said as she pushed the Crusader from shooting. “You’ll kill Fluttershy too!”

Crusader got back up and charged up her blast again. “She has Discord’s power in her! If he takes her then we’re all dead!” The untamed neon green light shot from her fore-leg engulfing both Fluttershy and the remains of Boreas.

Celestia and Twilight stood in the smoke that was thrown up into the air by the attack. They were in shock as they just witnessed the murder of a friend; they turned to Crusader with an un-filtered rage. But something was wrong. Crusader stood there glaring to the center of the smoke source. A being emerged from the smoke. It had the shape of Discord’s body but with no hind legs. It’s head was the size of Celestia with teeth the size of a pony’s fore-leg. He had two massive arms that had claws sharp enough to cut through metal. It slithered through the smoke and began to laugh. It’s voice sounded like loud white noise.

The Crusader stood there motionless until she said, “Both of you. Run.”

Celestia and Twilight both took to the sky and flew across the sky.

“Like my new body?” The being said flaunting himself.

Crusader smirked. “You look just as disgusting as before Sin.”

“Actually... Due too my new body a new name is needed... How about Leviathan Sin.”

Crusader laughed and then shot herself up to his head. She began to punch and kick. But nothing seemed to work.  “Are we fighting yet?” Leviathan asked? He grabbed her and brought her up to his face. He gave the most demonic smile and took her into his other hand and tore her in half. Blood and guts spilling everywhere, Leviathan then chucked the body off to the side. It began to glow and in time it reverted back into the corpses of three fillies.

Celestia and Twilight both were revolted at the sight. Celestia turned her head in disgust and Twilight began to gag. Twilight looked to her mentor for an answer. "What do we do?!" Twilight cried. But, when she gazed into her eyes she saw nothing. For the first time in her life Celestia didn't have an answer for Twilight.
