//-------------------------------------------------------// Orbital Friendship Station: Delta -by Inane Insanity- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// One friend left: Mission 1 - Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// One friend left: Mission 1 - Chapter 2 We went down the hallway to the right and looked for whoever... What ever did this. I heard fast paced thumping in the ceiling above me. "Who's there?!?" One of the troops shouted, followed by loud shushing. The thumping came back to where we were. We aimed up when a tile on the ceiling came loose, revealing a small creature with large sharp teeth. It pounced onto one of the troops, we shot at it, not only killing the creature, but the soldier as well. We were all shocked and confused, these were not rebels, these were much, much, worse than that, I tried to connect the Alpha team, which was the first to get here, but there was only static when we called for them. We guessed they had kicked the bucket. We grabbed his dog tag and moved on. But one of the troops couldn't move. He had not followed us and we didn't notice. We heard gun fire and ran back to where he was. By the looks of it, another one dead. It was me and Twilight now. Barley, it took some talking to get Twilight to calm down and follow me, we had to find somewhere safe. Halfway down the next hallway  were vines. Endless vines growing fast, very fast, they were making there way down the hallway, what where these vines? We decided to go down another hallway. This was all kinds of confusing, all we wanted was to go home, 6 dead and we have only been here an hour. This place was a living hell. I asked Twilight to open the door to a room while I protected her. After a few minutes she opened and and I stormed in. It was room. There was a pony in a bed, she was dead. We examined her, her throat was bulging. I held my breath and grabbed what was in her throat. I grabbed some sort of goo-like, egg. I quickly threw it to the ground and stomped it. Guessing it was an egg of some sort. Twilight screamed when I threw it, she was pale and looked like she was about to throw up, or pass out. We examined the body, We came to the conclusion it was choked to death by the egg. This was horrible, I had never dreamed to see and alien, and I had never had a nightmare that it would kill most of my squad. I told Twilight to examine the room while I stood outside. I heard the thumping from above me again. I quickly ran into the room and closed the door, handing Twilight a pistol. I told here to look at the ceiling and stay quiet. After a minute, the thumping got quiet, and we calmed down. I couldn't think anything but to stay still. I was scared, and so was Twilight. We had no idea what should have been a few rebels would turn out to be my death.... No, no, I wouldn't die here and would not give up. //-------------------------------------------------------// BzZzzzZt: Mission 1 - Chapter 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// BzZzzzZt: Mission 1 - Chapter 3 Bzzztzzzt - Tense Minutes Later - Hallway Me and Twilight Sparkle were creeping down the hallway in the east wing of this space station, keeping close to the walls when-... Twilight Sparkles POV I was keeping close behind my squad mate, I wanted to cry but I held the tears back and kept strong. This was not the time to cry, that was later. We kept walking, keeping close to the walls when there was a shuffling from the wall to my right, I stood still and silent. The other mare... I forgot her name, the poor soul. Well, she kept walking, each hoofstep she made was like a call for death, as the sound from the wall followed it. I was in a mix of shock and survival instinct as I stood still, my jaw wide open, as the creature burst from the wall, latching onto her side. She screamed out as what seemed to be a corrosive red liquid mixed with her blood from the creature, killing her from the inside out. I took the pistol in my magical grip, aimed, then fired. The bullet flew into the strange alien, killing it, along with the mare. She fell over, dead, and I could see acid eating her away from the inside out as her eyes turned into a red mush on the floor. I tried to keep a strait face as I walked past her corpse, the smell of melted flesh still obvious. I took in shaky breaths. The station shook, as power was restored, I didn't have a clue how, but I was thankful as I heard a buzzing sound from my two-way radio, and quickly brought it to my face as a voice came from the device. -Baa-zztt- "He- lo? Is any- n in the squad still al- ve? You need to-" Baazzzt  "-vacuate. Come t- the west wing! Now!" Came the voice of a stallion. I wasn't thinking as I dropped it and the gun from my grip and ran. I realized I dropped my weapon, but I would not waste time, so I took out my standard issue combat knife from my tactical saddlebags and continued. I was a few hallways away from the evacuation point that had been uploaded to my hud when a large creature crawled out from one of the rooms. It looked like some kind of black and red spider with 16 legs, eight of the legs were sharper than the rest and pointed outward as to protect it. As I tripped trying to stop from running into it, it turned it's head, which was looked like a spider head besides the fact it was connected to the body with what looked like another leg, but thinner and longer. It spent no time to observe as it launch towards me with it's legs. I held up my knife, blocking a leg that was aimed for my face, and to my disappointment, dented my knife, leaving no mark on the chitinous appendage. Another leg went flying, aimed for my eye, and struck. I scream in pain as I tried to keep hold of the leg in my magic. It had sunk into my eye ball and was about to lodge into my brain when I had held onto it with my magic. I tried to strike the leg with a forehoof, only to have another leg sunk deep into the shoulder socket, twist, and pull my leg off. The last thing I had heard and saw, was a few loud bangs, the spider going limp, and me blacking out. I woke up on a cold metal surface. My eye that had been stabbed would have been empty, if not for some metal object inside the socket. Same for my leg, something cold and metal was attached to the nub. The weird part was I could still feel with it. I didn't think about any of this, as I seemed to be in a blanket of pain, leaving me no time to wake up normally. I shot up with a scream, my eyes still closed. I felt a small prick, followed by numbness throughout my entire body as tears began to fall free from my eyes. I fell back onto the bed with a loud thump. I opened my eyes, closing my left eye at the assaulting light. I was confused at the sight before me. As in, I shouldn't be able to have sight if I remember correctly. My vision had a light purple tint to it. With the numbness of my body, came clarity of thought. With my mind clear as crystal, I realized I had a mechanical eye. Being hopped up on drugs also does some other things to your mind, for example, the only thing going through my head was I had a become an awesome cyborg. I looked down at my leg, forcing myself to think logical thoughts. I also realized I had a modifiable mechanical leg with artificial nerves connected to my stump. It was smooth except for many panels that I knew were where the 'modifiable' part of the name came in. It was a boring grey with a slight purple tint to it. I would not have been so docile if not for whatever drug they had me on, so I was thankful. //-------------------------------------------------------// Mission: No Mission - Chapter 4 //-------------------------------------------------------// Mission: No Mission - Chapter 4 Soon after finishing rehab - how to use my new eye and limb - I was to go on stealth mission into enemy territory, along with some other soldiers. I would always like to do missions on my own, but I knew the importance of extra firepower, I just hoped they were good, and not some bumbling idiots. We were to be briefed on the mission details by none other than the ruler of our empire, Celestia. Foals are told she controls the sun, but most know that's illogical. She is but a ruler, alongside her sister Luna. But sadly, Luna no longer rules alongside Celestia. Now known as Nightmare Moon, Luna commands the rebels, Moonlings, as she calls them. I opened my eyes, my head pounding from a nightmare I could not remember. I reached up to my head with a foreleg, when I pulled it back in shock, the cold touch of my metal limb startling me. I groaned. I had to meet my new squad mates today. I always liked working alone after my last mission. Not only that, I overheard someone talking about how my squad was going to be a bunch of rookie hussies. I crawled my way out of my cot, and over to the door on the opposite side of the room. I pressed the big green button to the left of the door with my magic, and a slid open. On the other side, were what I assumed to be my squad. One was an orange, proud looking, pony with blonde hair tied back in a ponytail with three apples on her flank. Then there was a cyan blue pegasus with a gay pride mane. For a cutie mark, she had a cloud that shot out multicolored lightning. She was hovering next to a butter-yellow pegasus that seemed to hide behind the cyan one. She had a long pink mane, and didn't seem to want to be here. She had three... uh... butterfly's for a cutie mark. Next to hew was a bouncing pink pony, with a bubbly pink mane, and three balloons on her butt. Finally, was the pony that seemed to want nothing more than to get a cleaner uniform. She was white, with a purple mane, and three gems on her flank, she was also a unicorn. Well, time for introductions. "Who are you hussies." Smooth. I held back a smirk at their shock. The cyan one growled, and flew in front of me, starring into my eye. None of them seemed to notice my cybernetics yet. "Who you callin' a hussy!?" She yelled in her rough voice. "You, now back off unless you want to be court-martialed for stepping out of line." I calmly stated. Her eyes widened and she backed off. The orange pony looked mad, but asked the question I was anticipating. Well, almost. "What's with that eyepatch and armor on yer foreleg?" She asked me in a common farm pony accent. I sighed. "This isn't and eyepatch," I pointed at my cyber-eye, "and this isn't armor," I pointed at my cyber-leg. They all starred. "The eye is a replacement after it was ripped out. Same for the leg. It all happened a while ago after I was attacked by a giant spider from outer space" I waited. I was shocked when they all started laughing at my 'obvious' joke. Well, besides the yellow one. I was getting mad. //-------------------------------------------------------// Mission: No Mission - Chapter 5 //-------------------------------------------------------// Mission: No Mission - Chapter 5 I glared at them, and in my harshest voice, said, "That was NOT a joke! We lost many ponies on O.F.S.D. I don't make jokes you mules." They all lost there smiles, and looked back at my authentic metal leg and eye. They mumbled their 'sorry's', and 'please forgive me's' as one. "Anyway you useless... UHG! Just follow me! You should know where we're headed," I had given up on these ponies. I turned down the hallway to my right and began to walk, the thin, rough layer of rubber on the bottom of my fake leg muted the 'clink' sound it would have made against the metallic floor. //-------------------------------------------------------// To Station Delta: Mission 1 - Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// To Station Delta: Mission 1 - Chapter 1 "It's time to head to station Delta, there are some rebels that have found there way onto the station and have killed almost everyone there. This is a dangerous mission. Do not die." I read on the small tablet mounted on the wall of the small pod I am in. I used my hoof to press the begin countdown button. The pod began to shake as the engines powered up. I looked out the pod at my squad to confirm they were ready, a quick nod from each of them and the countdown began... 5 ... 4...3...2...1. A loud boom sound followed by a steady loud humming from the back of the pod and we were off to the Delta Friendship Station. One hour later we made it to the station, the pods connected to the station and the doors slid open. We all stormed out into the hallway finding the nearest cover and looking out for traps. I ordered 3 troops to check out the room to the left. They stormed in covering the room. They were about to give it the all clear when they were all gunned down by a ceiling turret. One of them ran out of the room who had been shot 6 times in the side. We called for the medic, but he was only able to do so much. He died 3 minutes later. The security systems were now being controlled by the enemy. I told our technician, Twilight Sparkle, to find a panel and try to e cut the power. We would have no light, but the turrets would be shut down as well. We then went into the same room. That turret showed no mercy. The troops were torn about. We took there dog tags and looked for ammo and extra supplies. We didn't expect this, not at all. We had three troops dead... there were seven to begin with. We began down the hallway being very careful for any rooms or areas with power. We weren't thinking when we cut the power. Twilight had remembered we had no way off the station without power. We didn't care at the time, so we continued down the hall way until we saw something we would have nightmares about. On the wall were ponies held to the wall by harpoons. Blood was splattered on the wall. After Twilight and some others had thrown up, we were about to leave when.... One them blinked. I turned and stared into her eyes. She managed to say "Help... m-me" slow with a pained voice. She reach for my gun, then pointed to her own head. I took aim... I didn't want to do it... but she was done for. I closed my eyes, looked away... and squeezed my magic on the trigger of the pistol. BANG! The other troops looked at the corpse as I shot it. I waled about from the pony signaling the rest of the troops to follow. This was the worst mission i've ever been on... were these even rebels?
