//-------------------------------------------------------// What Does A Cloud Feel Like? -by Just A Fabulous Cat- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// One Shot //-------------------------------------------------------// One Shot Scootaloo pawed at the dirt. Her friends were busy and Rainbow dash was gone. She had absolutely nothing to do. She then rolled on to her back and sighed. Being with out friends sucks. She had tried to hang out at Twilight's but she just blabbed on about her egg head stuff. She had managed to sneak out while Twilight was getting her astronomy stuff and was talking about Neptune or something like that. Now she was in the park looking up at the sky. Why was life so boring right now? Couldn't life give her some action for once!? Everything was just so plain and boring. She rolled onto her side and sighed. And why was she so lonely? She then heard hooves hitting dirt. She instantly sat up. "Rainbow dash!" She yelled excitedly. But when she saw who it was she lied back down on the ground. "Hi Rumble." She mumbled. "Hi Scootaloo!" He said enthusiastically. Scootaloo lifted her head up.  Why was he so happy? He trotted over to her. When he reached her he began to speak. "Notice anything different?" He asked. He then began to point o his mane. She didn't see anything different. Thirty seconds went by before he spoke again. "I got a mane cut!" He yelled happily. Scootaloo sighed and put her head down again. Wish she could be happy about something so small. He realized that something was wrong. His happiness began to dim a little. "What's wrong Scoots?" He asked. Scootaloo groaned. "Why do I have to be so lonely?" She yelled. She tried to fly off. She forgot that she couldn't fly and ended up falling on to her stomach. She groaned. Rumble was a bit shocked by her tone of voice and how fast this had all happened. He tried to comfort her. "I'm your friend Scootaloo," Rumble said. Scootaloo just scowled as she got in to a siting position. "You wouldn't like all the girly things I like to do." "Well what are these girly things?" Scootaloo thought about this. "Well I like to....paint my hooves!" She retorted. "We both know that is a lie." Scootaloo sighed. "Yea that wasn't very clever..." "Well why are we arguing when we could be doing something fun!" He the darted up in to the air. He waited for Scootaloo to follow but she just sat there. "Well aren't you going to come?" He asked. Scootaloo spread her wings out. "I can't fly." She said with a hint of sadness in her voice. Rumble lowered himself to the ground. "Oh. I forgot." They both sat there for a moment. After a few seconds of silence Scootaloo spoke. "What does a cloud feel like?" She asked. Rumble was a bit confused as to why she asked this question but he said,"Sorta like wool. Damp wool." Scootaloo nodded. She then began to speak again. "I shouldn't have to ask that question. My mom should have taken me up to one a cloud. She should have...but...now we may never be able to do that." A tear went down her face. But she quickly wiped it away. "I shouldn't be thinking about that. Its just being alone like this makes you think about those things." Rumble began to feel bad for her. But what could he do? He looked up and saw a particularly low cloud above them. He had an idea. "Do you want to feel a cloud yourself?" He asked with a smile on his face. Scootaloo looked up. "Well yea but how would I-WOAH!" Rumble had wrapped his hooves aound her and was lifting her up to the cloud. Scootaloo recovered from her shock and looked around. "This is...AWESOME!" She yelled. She pretended to gallop through the air as they reached the cloud. When they reached it Rumble dropped her on to the cloud. "Ahh!" She thought she was being dropped. She closed her eyes and braced herself for her certain doom. But then she heard laughing. She slowly opened her eyes. She was on a cloud. It was so soft. And bouncy. And wet. She began to jump up and down. It was so much fun. When she got higher she began to pose each time she jumped. Rumble watched her with curiosity. He landed on the cloud and watched the orange filly jump around happily. He then felt something warm leap on him. He fell backwards. Scootaloo had tackled him with a hug. She then grabbed his hoof and jumped in to the air with him. "Eahh!" He tried to stop himself. Scootaloo bounced around laughing. When she saw him trying to escape she only dragged him back. "C'mon Rumble! Wont you at least try?" Rumble groaned. He knew there was no escaping the orange filly. He  stopped struggling and let himself bounce freely. It was a bit fun. He saw Scootaloo posing every time she bounced up. He tried it too. Before he knew it they were both laughing and bouncing. Ponies in the park looked around confused. Where was that laughing coming from? They thought. The foals continued bouncing around for another five minutes. They finally got exhausted and lied down with their legs sprawled out. "That..was...awesome..."  Scootaloo said between breaths. Rumble just nodded. Scootaloo then sat up. Her smile began to disappear. She thought for a moment. A look of sadness the fell upon her face. "This is something I should have done with my mom. Not that I don't like you or anything but..." She sighed. "Its just something a mother should do with her foal." Rumble also sat up. Looks like his plan didn't work. "I just hope my mom isn't...isn't..." She didn't finish her sentence. Tears began to roll down her cheeks. Rumble just sat there. Oh no. What do I do? What did mom say to do when a mare was sad...oh yeah! You complement them! He looked at Scootaloo. "You are..erm...no...your mane is...nice?" He said awkwardly. Scootaloo stilled cried. What was he going to do? He couldn't just sit here and watch her cry. Why was she so emotional? He thought for a moment. It must be puberty but still...What can I do? He sat there for a moment. Then before he knew what he was doing he leaned in and nuzzled her on the cheek. He quirky leaned back and blushed. Scootaloo also blushed. Her tears began to slowly stop. She looked up at him. He quickly looked down ashamed of himself.  But he them felt something warm and fuzzy leaning on his shoulder. He slowly looked up. Scootaloo had gotten closer to him and was resting her head his shoulder with her eyes closed. He simply sat there shocked. Mom hadn't given him any advice about this. He sat there stiff as a statue. She then muttered something that he could barely hear. "Do you think...my mom is alright?" She asked. Rumble thought about what to say. He didn't want to upset her any more. "I think your mom is just fine." Scootaloo mumbled something her couldn't quite understand. She then wrapped a wing around him. He yet again had no idea what to do. He just sat there. Ditzy Doo was flying around in search of Scootaloo. She had been at Twilight's house but she said that Scootaloo had sneaked out. She now was at the park. She then spotted to small figures on a cloud. One was orange and purple...Scootaloo? Ditzy thought. She flew closer. And Rumble? She then saw that Scootaloo was leaning on Rumble with her wing around him. Awwww. Then dread filled her. How was she going to break the news to her? She sighed she had to do it. But she wasn't going to like it. Not one bit. "Scootaloo?" She called out. Scootaloo instantly removed her wing from Rumble and sat up. "Aunty?" She called out. She then felt a hoof on her back. She turned around along with Rumble. He was relieved that the moment was over. Scootaloo looked slighly embarrassed. But when she saw the Look on her aunt's face it quickly turned in to worry. "What's wrong?" A tear went down Ditzy's cheek. Scootaloo began to grow more worried. "Aunty what's wrong?" Ditzy looked up at her niece. "Your mom...she isn't going to be coming home this month. Or the next month..." Scootaloo realized what she meant. Her aunt was never good with words but she understood what she was trying to say. Tears began to stream down her cheeks. A sob escaped her mouth. She ran to the other side of the cloud and began to cry there. Rumble yet again had no idea what to do. Ditzy looked at Rumble. "Can we have some time alone?" She asked softly. Rumble nodded. He flew off while Ditzy tried to comfort the young filly. For the next few days Rumble visited the park and waited for Scootaloo. She didn't show up. He knew she probably wouldn't show up but he still waited for her. Its what a good friend should do. Finally after a week she came to the park. "Scootaloo!" He shouted. Scootaloo looked up at him. Her eyes were puffy but she wore a grin. He ran up to her. "So...what do you want to do?" He asked. Scootaloo's grin got bigger. "Well I sorta forgot what a cloud feels like..." Rumble smiled. "Well how about we go visit one?" NOTE: BWAHAHA! Scootaloo is now an orphan! Trolololololol (I know its mean)
