The Equus Republic stands against them, but the republic is young and far from powerful. Corruption and politics get in the way. The dragons of the south rampage northward, inciting rebellion. To the west, the sign of the Stag has been sundered in war between the Alcesians and their Cerdvidaean brothers.

However, a glimmer of light shines through the darkness. The Guardians, unknowing of their power, seek to end the chaos.
