Their mission: to preserve prewar technology and guard it with their lives. When reports of a technology-filled Stable are discovered, a group of Guardians set out to find the rumored treasure trove…or die trying.

Once upon a time, in the magical land of Equestria…

War. War never changes. For thousands of years, the Equestrians came up with many ideas and myths asking a simple question:

When would it all end?

Some said that the end would come when the gods decided to start over. Others said it had almost became a reality, when Nightmare Moon attempted to plunge Equestria into an eternal night, two times in fact. What everpony didn’t realize, however, was that the end would come sooner than they thought.

In the time of Celestia and Luna, the two greatest powers engaged in a struggle for dominance, culminating in the event known as the Last Day. In several short hours, both nations, the pony nation of Equestria, and the zebra empire, had launched every magical weapon in their arsenals. The prophecised apocalypse had come and gone, and a great nation with it. However all was not lost. The supposed end of the world was only the start of a brutal and confusing chapter in ponykind’s history.

200 years later, a new order has emerged in what was once the region of Neighvada. Calling themselves the Guardians of Steel, their origins are tied with the Steel Rangers, a pre-war military unit and post-war cult of technology. Led by a ghoul named Guardian, the GoS broke away from the Rangers, isolating themselves in the mountains.

Recently, reports of a Stable full of technology have piqued the Guardians’ interest. They have sent a party of four to find the Stable and recover the technology.

Life in Neighvada is about to change.
