Alex yells at his D20 die as he lets it fly across the board. As the die comes to a stop it shows the number 17 on top. "Ooooo..Sorry Alex. You don't make the jump across the canyon." "Ug just my luck. Wait isn't Felix still by the edge? Could he reach out and grab my hand?" "No sorry remember Felix used his move to shoot an arrow at a troll. No way he has the time to catch you at the same time" Says Jake looking at his notes. "Awww come on now Jake I am an Elf. I should be fast enough." "Hmmmm ok I think you have enough trouble with the trolls alone so I'll let you try a Strength check to see if you could pull him up." "Ug the one time I wish I wasn't a dwarf. Jake if you let me fall to my death. I will haunt you in your dreams till you die. Then I will kill you." "Don't be like that. Alex It's your fault for chopping the bridge down." "ONLY BECAUSE THERE WAS 7 TROLLS ON IT! It seemed like a good idea at the time..." "Ok you two stop bickering. Jake make the roll." Jake takes his D20 die into his hand. Gives it a good luck kiss and lets it fly across the board. As it rolls across the board Alex and Felix both cringe in anticipation hopeing for a high number to lift the dwarf up and continue the fight. The die lands on a 7. "Sorry guys since the number is so low. Alex drags you down the pit with your Felix. Thus ending both your lives." Felix then takes the moment to punch Alex in the arm. Hard. "Ow! What was that for?!" "Because your fat head got me killed!" "Ug anyways that was a good run. Guess we start a new game next week Jake?" "Can't I have to take the ACT. I need a better score to get that scholarship." "Oh yea. Well good luck to you Jake! And you there Felix, what you up to next week?" "Same thing, execept if I don't get any higher I might not get to collage at all." "Wouldn't it be nice if you could just go on adventures in real life? No need to worry about book smarts. Just need to know that a dragon is fire proof and Elves can't lift Dwarfs" Alex jokes while packing up. Alex leaves his two friends and heads back to his house. Checking his watch he sees that its almost dinner time. "Mmmm bet mom is making burgers tonight. Best get home before she starts to worry." Alex hops onto his bike and pedals the 2 miles home. Along the way he figures he should take the back way through the woods since it would be faster. As Alex rides through the very small path, he sees a light toward his right. As no one should be out here Alex goes over to investigate. As he walk over to where he thinks the light was he sees a very large tree. "How long has this sucker been here? It must be over 1000 years old!" As alex looks around the tree he see's that it is hollowed out and the hole in the side is quite large, even large enought for him to fit in with no problems. As alex enters the tree he pulls out his phone to use as a light. When alex entered he noticed that the hole goes deep underground. Following his adventureing side he goes deeper into the hole in the tree. As he goes deeper the walls start changing colors from the dirt brown to blue then green then yellow then red almost like a rainbow. At the end of a cave is a small pool of water. When he looked into the pool he saw a reflection...but it wasn't him. It looked like a...PONY?!!? Backing away Alex thought to himself, "whoah the light has to be playing tricks on me..." Alex looked in the pool again seeing the same relfection. Looking up and around to see if there was a reason for this, but all he saw were the colorfull walls. With only one option left upon why Alex stuck his hand in the water to see if it wasnt water and was a TV screen or something. His hand went right in like it was water. "Huh this is really weird...I better leave.." As Alex tried to pull his hand out of the water a bright flash of light shined from the bottom and blinds him. "Hey! Hey buddy! Are you ok?!" Alex slowly awakes as he is being nuged buy someone. Alex mutters "Just a little bit longer mom..." "Hey buddy I am not your mother and you are definitely not at your house. Unless your house is the middle of a dirt path. "What? Im not on a dirt path..." Alex opens his eyes to see that indeed he was on a dirt path, But he also sees horses around him. "Uhhh sir? Where are you? All I see are horses." The horse next to him with a black fur looks at him and says, "Dude first off I am the person who woke you up and second I am a pony not a horse. Alex eyes widden and with the shock of a talking horse...pony...whatever causes him to go out. "Ug...this kid here fainted. Zinc get your magic plot over here and take care of him. Guess we are camping here for the night." Says the pony in black fur. 2: Adventures across the land!Whoah. What a weird dream. Hehe talking horses and a magic rainbow cave under a tree. Must have had way to much caffein. Alex slowly awoke from his slumber. As he wakes he stretches his arms out and sighs from a long sleep. He brings his hands to his face to rub his eyes, but when he does he dosn't feel hands touching his face. What? Where are my hands at....ARE THESE HOOFS?!?! Startled Alex looked at where his hands used to be and are now replaced with hooves. Alex then rolls out of his bed in panic and realizes that he dosnt have legs nor feet either. What the hell happend to my body! Wait...Hooves...four of them and a tail!? Wait...What has hooves and a tail? "AM I A HORSE?" Alex screemed out of thought. Looking over him self he sees his body is covered with a grey colored fur. His hair...mane? and tail are a darker grey with a single yellow highlight goings down both. After rolling on his stomach he looks over himself some more and sees on his rear is a tattoo of two blue lightning bolts crossing each other with a dagger behind them pointing upward. Also after looking on his sides he sees 2 wings When did I get a tattoo AND WINGS!? Surely I would have felt something being attached to my body in my sleep. Then again I am a horse now and I didn't feel that in my sleep either. After a second Alex realized he was in a large tent. Next to his bed was a small table with a lamp on it that lit the room up. From what he could tell it was either dark outside or the tent is made of a thick fabric. Suddenly the front flap opened up and in came that same black fur horse from earlier. "Oh I see you are awake. How you feeling buddy?" Alex slowly starts to slide away from the front of the tent. "Waaa? How are you talking?! Let alone how are you talking in English?" "Umm I'm talking the same way you are and this isn't English it is Equine" "What? No you are wrong. Where am I? How did I become a horse with wings? Why am I a horse at all? Wha.." "Whoah there budddy. Take it easy...We think you might have some brain damage or something and that might have some memory lost, but don't worry Zinc took good care of you. When you are feeling better we will take you to the closest town and then to the hospital to get a better look at you." "No you are wrong! I am a HUMAN BEING! I don't have brain damage or memory lost! This is all a dream I bet! Yea thats it. Watch in a second a clown will show up and chase me around till my mother wakes me up." "Uhhh this isn't a dream buddy. This is real life. Plus there are no clowns out here, unless you count Reznox. He is always cracking jokes." "Wait if this isn't a dream then how did I get here and how am I a horse?" "First off you are a pony or more specific a pegasus. You are in the magical world of Equestria. We are currently on a dirt path leading to the next town called Little Gem. We found you in the middle of the road right after a bright light came out of no where." "Wait...I remember a bright light. I was in a cave when thats the last thing I saw before I saw you." "Hmmm Interesting. Well lets get you out of here and get you some food you must be starving. By the way my name is Dark Shield whats yours?" Alex feeling not to trustworthy toward the talking pony he told him another name he goes by. "You can call me Swift Storm." "Well come on then Swift Storm. Lets go get some gurb!" Alex followed Dark Shield out of the tent. Looking him over he saw on his rear a tattoo like his, but it was a purple shield with wings. When he left the tent he saw 5 other tents like the one he was in. In the center of all the tents was a camp fire with 4 other ponies around it talking and eating. When Alex nearned the campfire all heads turned toward him. All of them had different colored fur and manes. It looked like a rainbow had kids with a pony. Alex trotted over and after a minute of trying to figure out how to sit, he decided to lay down instead. "Everypony this here is Swift Storm. Be nice while he trys to explain to all of us what that bright light we saw was." Alex explained how he was on his way home and how he found the pool of water. He also explained that he wasn't a pony at all rather instead he was a human. "What does a human look like?" Asked a pony that looked like him with wings but was a blue instead of his grey coat. "Well we walk on two legs instead of 4. We also dont have hair all over us just on top of our head and some other areas. We have fingers and toes, and we don't have tails." "Wait so like minitars?" asked the same blue pony. "Ehhh kinda exepct with our the bull part." The night continued with questions going around from pony to pony. Late at night in Canterlot Castle. "Sister did you feel is as we had?" "Yes Luna I did. I just hope It is friend like last time." "Yes StarwSwirl The Bearded was a great friend of ours wasn't he?" "Very much so, but for now we wait to see if this being turns up somewhere." 3: Getting to know each other.Swift spent the whole night gettin to know the other ponies and telling the other ponies about himself. Man I need to make mental notes about all of these guys (Yes they are all male) So basically this is what I learned so far: Dark shield- A black fur and purple earth pony. Has a purple shield with wings for a cutie mark. *I learned that these marks state said ponies *special talent* is. He seems to be the leader of this group.* Zinc- A Unicorn with dark green fur with pepper mane and tail. He has a large red plus sign for his cutie mark as he is the medic. I was told he was the one who treated me when I passed out. Reznox- A light purple fur coated clown. He loves puling pranks with his magic. (while we were all talking he made the illusion that a pack of wolfs made of wood were coming to eat us). His mane is pure white. He says it used to yellow though. His cutie mark is a ball of fire since he specializes in fire magic. Splitroot- Aparently a relative of Dark Shield though they dont know how. He has a light brown coat with dirt brown mane and tail. His cutie mark is a large double bladed axe. He and Dark Shield work together for offence and defence when they ever fight. Sky Shadow- A Blue coat pegasus with red main and tail. He didn't talk much about him self. From what I can tell his cutie mark also has a dagger on it, but also has an arrow forming an X pattern. After explaining as much about humans as Swift could, Shield told everyone thats enough for tonight and head to bed. Everyone except Reznox went to bed as he had the night watch. *Swift/Alex dream land* "Swift......Swift Storm...I know you can hear me..." "Uhhhh what?" Swift looks around and sees he is in some clouded place. What seem to be walls also seem to be clouds shifting around. A dark figure appeard infront of him. "Swift Storm I am Princess Luna. It seems you are not at all who you said you are." The tall dark blue pony stood infront of swift. She had wings and a horn and was at least twice his size. "Uhhhh how do you have wings and a horn?" "Really? Thats the first thing you say? No screams or crying how you got or where you are?" "Yea I guess....I already kinda accepted that I really am in Equestri-whatever...." "Equestria" "Right. Thanks. Anywho I asked some questions and I thought I understood the basics till you showed up." "I am an alicorn. Only those that are on the throne can assend to such a powerfull form." "So you are what the Queen of Equestria?" "My sister and I are the princesses. Only one of us can be a queen and we wish to be equal, so we kept our current status when it became time for one of us to be a queen." "Interesting, where is your sister?" "She is asleep. She rules the day time while I rules the night." "Makes sense I guess. Why are you here?" "Because you are the first of your kind to be here in over 1000 years." "My kind? As in Humans?" "Yes. In the near future you will be given a choice. To return home or stay here. The last one chose to stay here, he went by Starswirl the Bearded in this world, But in yours he went by Merlin." "Wait....THE MERLIN?! As in wizard of the times when Kind Aurthur ruled?" "Ahhhh so you do know of him. Yes he was a mighty Unicorn. He taught us almost 1/3 of our current known spells." "Have there been others like he and I?" "A few but the others are not important. For now rest child. You will have a....Interesting few days." She gave a small smirk then vanished. Swift awoke the next morning to a wonderfull smell. If they have bacon I will never leave this place. Swift left the tent that he woke up in yesterday. Over by the fire was Dark Shield cooking. "Hey Swift! Come over here and get some grub. We are going to be leaving soon so make it quick. After that I will show you how to take down the tent and give you a pack to carry stuff in." Alex went over and sat next to Shield. In the pan looked to be round orange things.... "It's carrots. Try one you might like it." "Uhhh how do I pick it up? Do you have a fork or something?" "Oh right...You had what? Fingers? Anywho you just pick it up with your hoof. It really isn't hard." Shield use his hoof to pick up a carrot from the pan and shoved it into his own mouth. "See? Now you try." Swift moved his hoof into the pan and attempted to pick up a carrot. Surprisingly it wasn't that hard at all! He moved the carrot into his mouth and ate it. Flavor erupted in his mouth. "Oh my god....These are AMAZIING! Carrots back on earth never tasted like this." Wait. Mabey it's the fact I am a pony now. Ponies like carrots and apples. Wait that means I don't eat meat anymore... "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!" Swift shouted. Shield jumped scared."What is it? Are they bad?" "No I just realized I am a herbivore now. That means I don't eat meat." "Ahh let me guess you loved meat?" "Yea all humans do. Well most do. Some try to go on a no meat diet saying eating meat is wrong," "Well you didn't eat horses did yea?" "I didn't no, but some did." Shields face turned into a face Swift wish to never see again. He looked like he was going to travel to Earth and murder ever human there. "Hey Shield, horses and ponies aren't like the ones here. They are mindless and can't even talk. Trust me. Humans don't go and murder the animials. They let them live full lives and put them out of pain when they get old. (Swift lied a bit hopeing to calm Shield down)" "I guess thats better. I thought you did it for sport or even for the fun of it." "No not at all. Come on lets get packed up." Swift and shield pack up the tent. Shield gave Swift a temp saddle bag. "This one is a spare I carry. We will get you a real one once we get to Little Gem." As Shield begin to walk away Swift put his hand on his sholder and turned him around. "Shield...I just want to say thanks for everything you done so far. Taking me in, believing me, everything." "Don't worry kid. I will not let any thing bad happen to you. You are in my group now and I let nothing happen to my group." "By the way have you ever thought of a name for you group? Like a team name or something of the sorts?" "Yes we go by Team Velkons" After everyone packed up their belongins they followed the dirt path toward Little Gem. 4: No pain no gain.Swift and his friends continue their journey toward Little Gem. Dark Shield came up next to Swift. "Hey Swift I was thinking. Do you have any combat experience at all? Like do you know how to fight?" "No not at all. Why do you ask?" "Well sometimes along our adventures we stumble across trouble. Whether it be bandits, Manticores, or even dragons. I just want to be sure you know how to fight and defend yourself." "I guess you're right. So what you going to teach me? Some mighty python strike with using only my tail? Or are you going to show me how to kill someone with just one single hoof?” Swift made some funny fighting stances he saw in movies back home as best he could in his pony form. "I have a few ideas," Shield had a sly smile on his face, "when we set up camp for the night I'll start training you." "Awesome thanks man." After a long mornings travel Shield decided to stop for lunch. Everyone dropped their bags and Reznox went over to start a fire with his magic. "Hey Swift get over here and help me with this fire!" "Sure thing Reznox." "I need you to use your wings and give the spark some air so it can spread faster." "Why not just light the whole pile on fire?" "See when using magic, ponies only have so much to use. It's like a cup of water. Drinking from the cup is using magic and over time it will fill back up." "So can I use magic like that?" "Not like me, no. Pegasi use their magic to control weather and walk on clouds, Earth ponies use magic for endurance and strength, and unicorns use their magic to manipulate their surroundings." "So no shooting fire out of my wings," Swift said in disappointment. "Sorry kid nope. Oh and btw your tail is on fire...." Swift looked behind him to see the tip of his tail on fire. 'AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Swift ran around the camp screaming and hollering about his tail on fire. Reznox is rolling on the ground laughing when Shield came up and grabbed Swift by his tail. Swift was jerked back and fell to the ground. "Swift look it’s not on fire. Reznox pulled one of his pranks just now," Shield put his hand on the fire around Swifts tail while saying this to show he is telling the truth. "And it was a good one to." Zinc came out of his tent to see what the commotion was about, “Reznox please keep your pranks quite? Some of us are trying to read here." "Oh lighten up Zinc it was a harmless prank. What you reading anyhow?" "A book about lost magic abilities for Pegasi and earth ponies." "Yea sounds like old filly tales to me. Get over here, grab some food, and be ready for a show. Shield is going to teach swift how to fight!" Sighing, Zinc put his book up and came out with a first aid kit," Then we will need this when the fight is over." Shield draws a circle in the ground to mark the area which both ponies will have to stay in. Pointing at Swift, Shield said, “Ok I want you to just try to defend yourself best you can without stepping out of the arena, ok?” “Ok sounds easy enough.” Swift gets in a stance to prepare himself for any hits Shield comes at him with. Shield looks at Swift and mentally laughs at his ridicules stance. “Swift you will never last long like that. Spread your back legs farther apart. Keep your knees slightly bent too!” Swift adjusts as Shield recommended. After seeing Swift was ready, Shield charges at him with a right hook. Swift ducks to avoid the punch, but ends up with a face full of Shields other hoof. “You have to keep moving. Your enemy will not just do one punch at a time. What you think this is? A movie where the bad guys suck at fighting? This is real life mate, welcome to Hell!” Shield didn’t let up at all while fighting Swift. They kept at it for a couple of hours before Zinc called it off. “Alright Shield stop beating him up so he can still walk later.” Giving one last punch into Swift’s back Shield leaves the circle and goes over to the camp fire and sits. Swift moans in pain as he rolls onto his back. “That was the worst beating I have ever felt.” Zinc walks up next to Swift to treat his wounds. “You’re lucky he didn’t use a weapon. Plus he is an earth pony so he will be tough. You should try to move around faster and give smaller punches in his weak spots. Like his sides and underbelly.” “Since when did you become a fighting expert?” “I just know how ponies work. Pegasi are much quicker than earth ponies, but lack in strength. If you time it right you can move around his punches and get in a few fast ones on him.” “Thanks. I will remember that next time we train.” “Which won’t be today, you have enough bruises to last a week.” Zinc finishes wrapping up Swift’s wounds. Swift gets up and sits next to Shield. “Zinc is right you know, Swift” Sighing from pain Swift responds,” He sounds like he knows a lot. Did you really have to go all out on me?” “Better to toughen up with lots of pain now rather than start out slow” “Well you could have taught me how to fight. All you did was punch me over and over while I tried to dodge you.” “Let me let you know about me a bit kid…. Long ago I trained for the Canterlot Armed Forces, or CAF for short. First day there guess what they made us new guys do?” “What?” Ask Swift now interested into knowing some info on his new friends. “They gave us three choices, : Run 100 laps around the battle grounds, Spar all day with any senior guard, or leave. I chose the spar since I have 2 older brothers I’m used to the beatings, but let me tell you, they did not hold back at all. I barely got up the next morning for breakfast with all the pain I was in. So just to let you know I went easy on you.” “Wait if you trained to be in the CAF why are you here adventuring?” Laughing Shield replied, “Because, It wasn’t for me. Standing still at doors doing nothing? Not for me.” “What about Splitroot? I never hear him talk what’s his life story?” “He grew up in a very large family. Had 17 brothers and sisters and he was smacked in the middle of the age group. So he was kind of ignored all his life till he left. I found him one day alone at a bar. Never said a word since I knew him from a family gathering a few years before then I just asked to join and he accepted. So usually me and him go around doing quests and hire or ask others to join when needed.” “So he never talks? Like a mute?” “Yupp, you can’t get a single word out of him.” “Last year I heard him scream that’s about as close you will ever get.” Swift got up wincing in pain as he moved, “how much longer till we get to Little Gem?” asked Swift. “Should be there by nightfall, but we will sleep outside the town tonight to save a few extra bits and allow us to get better rooms when other ponies leave the tavern in the morning.” “Works for me, so we going to leave soon or wait because I’m pooped from the beating you gave me.” “We will leave soon kid, if you want go ahead and pack up won’t take long for the rest of us to pack also.” Swift went over to his tent and started to pack everything he has. After 3 attempts to get his tent in his saddle he had to ask Shield to help him again. “Hey Shield when will I get real weapons? I see the rest of you carrying some expect for Zinc, even Reznox has a dagger on him.” “Well that’s an extra agenda for us to attend to in Little Gem. We will get you the proper equipment you will need. So on the way think of what weapons you want to learn to use and we can get you some.” “Wait I don’t have any money to use to pay for anything.” “Ha! You don’t think I know that? I was going to pay for you. Years of adventures have left me some extra spending money, and before you say no my mind is set. Don’t worry I won’t spend all my money on you, just the basics needs. Any money you find or earn from here on out you can use for yourself or pay off the debt you think is real. I don’t care.” Sighing Swift gave up on the thought of arguing, “Fine but I will pay you back!” “Come on kid let us get going. It is only a few hours away, we might have enough time for another quick training session.” As sarcastic as he could Swift replied, “yay….” Team Velkons left their campsite and headed to their destination with hopes of sleep to be found sooner than later. 5: Daggers and Flying*Somewhere deep in a mine somewhere* The cave is dark; you can hear the sound of paws rapidly hitting the cold wet ground of the cave in a hurry. Running is a diamond dog, heading to the center of the cave system to where his boss is at. Once out of the dark tunnel he approaches the throne and bows to a large dark figure. “You highness, our scouts say that a group of 6 ponies are on their way into town. We believe these ponies to be the ones paid to rid of us.” The dark figured look at one of his servants. It has been 4 years since he has taken command of these diamond dogs as they call themselves. They were his first group of servants, as they all coward under his power. The dark figured stood and held his hands outward to calm all the dogs down. “My most loyal disciples, these ponies are not as powerful as us! We will set up a trap to capture them and take them as our prisoners. So I ask that a small group of you stay behind while the rest of use move on with our plans and head to our next destination. Who wishes to be remembered forever as heroes!?” A group of 10 large Diamond Dogs come forth. Then another two come up after them. “Come up here HEROES! Everyone here look at your saviors! Remember them forever as I will!” Thinking to himself the figure thought “Pift these guys are dumb as they come. It will take all of them to even possibly hold those six prisoners. Half of them just for that one Pegasus.” “Let us go everyone else! Let us come and continue with our plan.” All the dogs followed their master through the maze of tunnels to where they are needed. The twelve that stayed behind continued to work on the plan to capture the six. *Outside of Little Gem* “Swift! Come here,” Shouted Swift knew the voice to belong to Sky Shadow. Ugh. Please don’t let him teach me my only second lesson fighting. I already know how to at least not get hit by Shield another Pegasus who knows how to fight as a Pegasus will just murder me. Swift stepped out of his tent. Looking around he can see the town of Little Gem not far away. He walked over to where Dark Shield and Sky Shadow both stood waiting on him. Shield sees Swift walking over,” Swift, Sky here will be teaching your next lesson. You will follow him and do as he says.” Shield pulls Swift closer and whispers in his ear, “And I know he can come off rude, but he means well. Just have some faith and you might learn something.” Sighing Swift responded, “If you say so. If I don’t come back that means Sky killed me or left me to die.” After the two ponies stopped their secret talking Sky started walking into the forest. Swift thinking of all the ways he can and might die followed. They followed what seems to be either a trail made by forest animals or a path used very little. After what seems to be forever in the dark forest they come to a clearing. What Swift did not know was that they have been slowly been going uphill. They both now stood on top of a cliff with the ground to be about 40 feet below them. Sky Shadow not looking behind him at Swift, but looking at the sky itself feeling the wind against his face. “Since you have been a Pegasus for only a few days Shield and I assumed you have no idea to fly. Holy balls! I forgot I can fly now. Wait...HIS HE GOING TO TEACH ME TO FLY?! I really am going to die. At least falling is somewhat a swift and painless death. “Now I want you to watch me as I fly.” Sky then unfolded his wings and gave them a few stretches. He keeps them straight out then walks to the edge of the cliff. He takes a deep breath then falls forward. He fell straight down till he almost hit the ground, then he adjusted his wings to capture the wind in them then made a sharp turn upward. Swift sat in amazement as Sky made that quick adjustment in the air with what seemed to be little effort. Sky flew in the sky using his wings to keep him in the air. Sky looked over at Swift and saw him in awe with his mouth open. “Ha! This kid knows nothing at all! How about I show off?” Sky did some loops in the sky and barrel rolls. He decided to get cocky and do one of his favorite things. Sky started to fly straight upward. Climbing higher and higher till Swift was just a speck of color on the ground. Noticing his height Sky folded his wings against his body and made himself face downward. His pace of falling started to accelerate at gravity took over his body. He kept going faster and faster. He stared to feel the air around him squeeze tighter as he started to accelerate to the speed he wanted. As he neared the ground he took his wings out suddenly and altered his angle in a split second causing a break in the sound barrier sending a shockwave of sound to echo across the area around him. If Sky was closer he would have saw that Swift literally pissed himself from pure amazement Swift saw. *Swift POV* Whoa why is Sky going up so high? Wait he is falling now….IS HE HURT?! Uh what do I do? What do I do!??!?!?! Suddenly a wall of sound and air hits Swift. In awe Swift had no control of his bladder and pissed himself. OH CRAP! Uh lets just move over here and hope he doesn’t see that. Sky lands next to Swift “So kid you think you're ready for your first flight lesson?” “If I can do that air explosion thing you just did I will take flying lessons for three days straight.” “Ha kid not just any Pegasus can do that. You have to be the best flier in equestrian to even do it perfectly. I can’t get fast enough so I can just barley do the shockwave. Almost 60 years ago a Pegasus named Amelia was the first to do it. All she did was fly around places. She wanted to fly across the world to find unknown lands. I knew her personally since she was my grandmother and all. Wait. He isn’t talking about Amelia Earhart who went missing in my world? Wonder who else from earth has ended up here? “Alright now let’s start by unfolding your wings and giving them a few flaps.” Swift did what he was told and found it a very weird feeling with wings having the muscles move along his back nothing like being human ever felt. “Ok good. Now try to flap them as hard as you can and fast as you can to try to float off the ground.” The lesson went on for another hour or so. At the end of it Swift could fly for about ten minutes in the air. “Alright let’s get back to camp and rest up. We have a long day tomorrow. Also Swift don’t tell the others about my trick. They don’t need to know about that since I’m trying to keep my tough guy act on, I’m only being nice to you since you are the only other Pegasus in the group now.” “Ok Sky you can count on me no problem” The two Pegasi headed back to camp to rest up for the night. The next morning the group of six colts headed into the busy town of Little Gem. Swift couldn’t believe all the different colors ponies had on them and their cutiemarks. Everyone was unique and doing the jobs they loved to do. Shield led the group to a tavern in the center of the town. Once everyone got inside and to a table they all could sit at Shield started to talk. “Ok guys you know the rules, but for Swifts sake I’m going to repeat them. You are free to do as you wish all day. You are to report here at the tavern at every meal. Try to stay out of trouble. I will most likely be here at the tavern most of the day. If you can’t find me look for Sky.” Everyone started to split up to go do any errands they might have. Shield pulled Reznox and Swift to the side. “Ok Rez you are in charge of equipping Swift with proper gear. Put it all on my tab.” Saluting in a mocky way Rez replied. “Yes captain you orders will be fulfilled as you requested!” “Just get it done Rez,” Shield rolled his eyes and trotted off. “Alright Swift lets go ON AN ADVENTUUUUURRREEEEE!” Reznox skipped out of the tavern with Swift behind. “Alright first thing first you will need a bag to carry everything in. If I remembered the bag shop is down this street on the right.” They entered a shop with a sign that said “Bag World” Inside were rows of every color and size of bag that could ever exist. A colt came up to them and asked, “Can I help you two?” “Yes my friend here needs a bag.” “Ah of course as you can see I sell only the best! Now what kind will you need?” “Get him a saddle bag that matches his coat and mane. Also have it where weapons can be sheathed on it for quick access. And so he knows it’s his put his cutie mark on the sides. All payments go under Dark Shield.” “Ah another member of the might team Velkons! I’ll see what I can get for you it will just be a moment.” After taking measurements of Swift and jotting them on a notepad. The colt went into the back of his shop. “So Rez I guess Shield is known in this town?” “Well most adventures are. This town is a main stopping point for most travelers thus has almost anything you could ever need. It isn’t a large trade town just a nice town to stop by.” After about 10 minutes or so the colt came out with a bag that was the same grey as his coat. The straps were the same yellow that streaks across his mane. On the sides shows his cutie mark, two lightning bolts and a dagger. “I assumed you will be using daggers since that is your cutie mark so on both side are sheathes for daggers. I also made it to fit without it getting in the way of your wings. Oh and on the house for my friend Shield I added a money pouch on the inside.” “Thanks a lot sir!” Swift put on his new bag and it fits perfectly. Nothing back home could have fit like this on human nor horse! Leaving the shop Rez and Swift went shop to shop to get Swift what he needed. Camping gear. Food and Water containers, and bed rolls. At the end of their list ended them up at a blacksmith. “Hello boys! How can I, Smithy, help you?” “My friend Swift here needs weapons, all payments will go to Dark Shield.” “AHA! That old bloke finally found him a fresh one? Well come on boy, If Shield is paying might as well get you the best.” Inside were rows of weapons on the walls and some on the counter top. Weapons of any and all kinds Swift could tell were in this shop. “So Swift was it? What will it be? Bow, daggers, sword? Maybe the good old Mace?” “I want to look at your daggers. Since my cutie mark has a dagger on it.” “Works for me. Follow me over here.” Smithy lead the two toward a wall covered in daggers. “Almost all of these are made by my hoofs with some help.” Swift was in awe of all the different daggers. They all ranged in the shape of the blade to the hilts. As he looked at the wall he looked over to his right. There by themselves was a pair of blue daggers. Pointing at them Swift asked, “What about those two over there.” “Oh those are uh not made by me. The other day a man came in to sell them said that the true owner will find them soon. He left in such a hurry he forgot to take all his payment.” “Can I see them?” “Sure lad no problem just let me go get the key to open the case they are in.” Smithy opened the case and handed the pain of daggers to Swift. “From what I can tell by my expert smith skills. The daggers are made by cloud steel. An old way Pegasi used to make their weapons. The gem in the center of the hilt there is some sort of sapphire and on the gem on the bottom I never seen. It looks like a cloud stuck in crystal of some kind, but it could just be an enchantment to look like that.” Swift reached out to grab one. Once he held it in his hoof he could feel something coming from the dagger. As if it was calling out to him. The gem on the bottom showed something, as he looked closer inside he saw lightning. “Whoa I think I just saw lightning in the cloud gem.” “Ha your funny lad if that’s true then that gem is one of the rarest things ever. Only the princesses themselves have that kind of gem. Storm gems are the most magical gems ever to exist. Anyways you seem to like them. If you want I will sell them to yea.” “Sure thanks mister.” After Smithy made a note that Shield will pay. Swift put the daggers in their places on his new bag. Reznox and Swift headed back to the tavern for lunch. 6: Lightning never strikes twice.When Reznox and Swift Storm returned back to the tavern for lunch was when Swift realized how hungry he really was. They spotted Zinc and Shield at the same table they sat earlier that morning. “Swift! Rez! Over here let me see what my money paid for.” Shield motioned for Swift to hand over his new bag. “Ah very well made bag that will last you a very long time. Let’s see …normal equipment for the average adventure, but there is one thing you forgot.” Shield pulled out a book from under the table. “This here is the hand book all adventurers live, breathe, and die by. If you accept this you are officially one of us. So do you Swift Storm take this book and uphold all that is called upon your duty as an adventurer?” “Wait what? You are telling me that there is an official handbook? Like some type of code of chivalry?” “In a way yes, but it’s more of a guidebook than a live by this or die rule book. It is full of tips and general information of our ways.” “Oh ok, than sure yea.” Shield passed over the book and Swift stuck it in his bag for later. Zinc looked at his bag and noticed a pair of daggers in them. “Swift you are forgetting to show off your new weapons! Let me see I do know a thing or two about these things.” Zinc used his magic to levitate the daggers out of the bag still sheathed. As Zinc looked at the sheathes he then pulls one of the blades out. “Swift, or rather Rez….Where did you buy these?” “From Smithy, said that some guy came in and just wanted to rid of them or something like that. They were not cheap either!” Shield takes the other dagger and examines it as well, “I trust Smithy. He is a long friend of mine and has been nothing for good. If he priced it than he thought that price was fair.” Zinc then saw the gem at the bottom.” Shield look at the counterweight in the bottom. Is that what I think it is?” “Well Rez either you paid too little or too much for these, or one is more believable than the other. It seems either the gems on the bottom are storm gems or they are fake”. “Wait what are storm gems?” Asked Swift. Zinc put down the dagger he held in his magic and looked to Swift. “Gems are used to hold certain spells for a period of time. Storm gems are the most powerful gems. Not powerful as in can destroy the world in a blink of the eye, but they are the only gems capable of holding long lost magic that Pegasi can do. Storm gems can contain a rare type of magic, what that is exactly isn’t known, but it is thought to be some type of weather magic. It is all here in the book I have been reading.” “So how does one know if they really are storm gems?” “Well typically they are a storm in a gem, but so far I have yet to see a storm in here just a bunch of fog.” “If it helps earlier I saw some lightning in them.” Zinc looked at Swift in awe. “Are you sure Swift? Are you sure it wasn’t the light reflecting off of it?” “Pretty sure yea. Why is that bad?” “Well my book doesn’t say, but for when you practice fighting with these use them outside please.” Shield stood up then, “Speaking of practice Swift me and you out back in 10 min.” Shield walked outside to prepare an area for them two to spar. Shield and Sky took turns training Swift in fighting and flight. After 3 days of this shield then begun to teach him how to fight with the daggers. “Ok Since you are lucky and are a Pegasus you can float with your wings and hold the daggers in your front hoofs, or if are unable to fly hold one in your mouth or one hoof.” Now you think that for a human turned pony would understand how to hold something in his hoof. Even being in this world for several days Swift still had problems with holding the daggers. “Swift keep your grip on those suckers! The enemy will not stop to let you pick it up.” Shield yelled at Swift. “Yea I know” You yell it every time I do it. After another session of sweat and the sun beating down on the training duo, Shield said that it was time for a break. “You are getting better Swift. Soon that target dummy will never know what hit him.” Reznox said coming over to see how they were doing. “Haha very funny Rez. How about you and me fight. No magic just pure manly fists.” “Naaa I don’t want to make your face any worse than it is.” “Enough Rez, Swift has been getting better. Soon he will be able overcome some enemies. This brings us to tomorrow. Swift you will spar off with your dagger against Sky.” Oh my god. This is how I die. Sky has to keep up his tough guy face and will stab me with his weapon in the chest. Well might as well have fun. “And before you get any ideas Sky will not kill you.” HOLY BALLS Can he read minds? “Yes I can” “Now you are really creeping me out dude.” “Na I was kidding. I am just really good at reading faces.” Shield, Rez, and Swift all went to their rooms. Swift pulled out his adventure handbook and read where he left off in the chapter of looting. In the event that loot is found all loot is evenly distributed. Anything that cannot be evenly done so will either be counted as special loot or given how the leader of said party wants. Special loot goes to whomever the party as a whole agrees it goes to I will have to remember this out on the road. Note to self. Look under every rock for loot. Swift woke up to Split Root knocking on his door. “Hey Root, let me guess early day for an early beating from Sky?” Root said nothing expect nodded and went down to the table that they always had their meals at. After breakfast was eaten, the group of six went to where Swift has been practicing. Zinc walked next to Swift.” Ok just to let you know I have enchanted the blades to dull so that you can’t hurt Sky too badly if you get lucky. Also I was examining them and it seems that the gems on the bottom do have magic in them. So if you feel at all a different let me know right away.” “Ok will do.” Swift looked up to the sky and sees in the distance a storm is brewing. “Hope that storm is not a bad omen of what is to come.” Sky and Swift stood on either ends of the arena. Shield walked to the center and started the rules,” Ok so normal dueling rules. If you set a hoof on the ground outside the arena you lose. If you are knocked out you lose. No killing allowed. And remember fight dirty!” Shield then stood over to the side. “Swift as a friendly reminder you can fly outside of the arena and still be good. I want to take this to the sky as soon as possible so be ready!” Ok just remember your training from Shield and Zinc. You are both Pegasi so don’t expect power from his attacks. I have daggers, but I bet he can disarm me in a second. I just hope I don’t get hurt too much. Sky watched Swift have a mental discussion with himself,” I am going to enjoy beating him up so much!” Swift made the first move. He rushed forward to try and just get a hit in on Sky. Sky simply side stepped Swift and used his wing to push him over. Swift stood up again and tried again with the same results. “You know Swift you are not going to get anywhere by only using your hoofs. Use your daggers I won’t disarm you this spar is to see how you are with them you know.” Swift sighed and pull out his daggers. Using his wings to float above the ground and hold both daggers in his hoofs. Well here goes nothing. Swift let loose of his thoughts and just did what he practiced. Using only his movements to turn and swing the blades into the next attack. Sky dodged most of the attacks and only suffered minor cuts. “Hey kid you are pretty good I will give you that. How about we take this up a level shall we?” Sky took to the skies and Swift followed. In the sky the two spared. Swift swinging his daggers and Sky dodging them. Man this is hard trying to focus on flying and hitting Sky. As they fight the storm slowly moved its way to Little Gem. Zinc saw this and shouted up to the two Pegasi, “Guys lets end this now! The storm is getting too close!” but his shouts were taken away by the wind. Sky and Swift are still fighting. The wind currents take them in its grasp and only thing they Pegasi can do it just ride the wind out, Swift sees an opening when a gust of wind off balances Sky. Tilting his wings he let the wind shoot him at Sky. Sky never saw it coming and received a very deep cut in his side. “OUCH! Dude that was cheap and smart.” *hello this is your friendly Author here :D. This part that is about to happen is going to be in slow motion as multiple things happen all at once very fast. So please enjoy* Swift realized what he did and decided to try something to finish off his opponent. He flew up higher into the storm to use the clouds as cover skill keeping an eye on Sky. Sky during this is still trying to recover from the cut Swift gave him. Once Swift was above Sky he turned downward toward Sky and used his wings to slam into Sky, but bad luck happens. A bolt of lightning hits Swifts daggers surging into Swift. Swift blacks out and start to fall. Sky sees what happens and dives down after him. Swift is falling faster and faster gravity takes over. Shield, Root, Rez, and Zinc all run to where they see Swift falling. Before anyone could do anything another bolt of lightning hit Swift again this time bringing him out of the black out. Seeing how he is about to hit the ground he tries to using his wings to slow his fall, but he was to close and was only able to get a single flap of his wings before he hits the ground rolling. 6.5/7: Preparing for a fight.Swift lies in a hospital bed surrounded by his friends. Swift has a concussion and has yet to wake up for a whole day. The doctor informed the others that only time will allow Swift to wake up, but Swift was lucky he used that last second to slow his fall as much as he did as from the sound of it he would be dead right now. Next to Swift lays his saddle bag with his daggers glowing next to him. Zinc picked up the daggers for probably the 100th time since he picked them off the ground seeing them glowing once Swift hit the ground, “I know these are the reason for the lightning, but I want to know why. Was it to charge them up? And if they are charged what will they do?” Shield put a hoof on the daggers and put them down back on the table. “Zinc if you have yet to figure it out then the odds of you finding something now is slim. All we have to do is hope and pray to Celestia and Luna that they will help him.” *Back to the dream world!* OWwwwwww my head is killing me! Where am I? Wait…I am back to that place where I met Luna! Except its different. The place has both dark and light patches of fog. After getting his bearings Swift stood up and asked allowed. “Luna! Are you here? I could use some help getting back to my body.” “Yes dear Alex, I also brought someone with me for you to meet.” Luna and another pony that also had a horn and wings appeared from the fog. The other pony was at least another foot taller and has white fur. “Hello dear Alex, I am so glad to finally meet you! How do you feel?” “Like I hit a brick wall while licking a car battery. What happened?” “Your fight with Sky invoked the magic in your daggers. Since the energy in the two sky gems was low they had to call upon the weather to refill them. Unfortunately you were holding them at that time and suffered, but do not fear. You are alive just unconscious and that should not happen for at least another 50 years depending on how often you use them.” “Wait use them? As in they really have magic in them and I can use magic?” “Not any magic, Alex. That magic is long lost. I imagine that it is lost for a reason. Luna and I will tell you where to find a book that will contain the lost arts of this magic and can show you how to use it. For now try to not use them when fighting friends as you might accidently use them and hut somepony.” “Interesting. So is that it? I go to some library check out a book than I get to shoot lightning out of my eyes?” “Not quite that easy. The book was put in a vault in a mine near the town you are in now, but beware the mine is owned by Diamond dogs and they do not like outsiders. So side with caution.” “Diamond Dogs? Please tell me they are not dogs made out of diamond….” “No not at all. They are just Dog people that are greedy and mine for gems of all kinds.” “Ok thanks Princesses Celestia! Anything else before I wake up?” “Do you remember what Luna told you?” “Yes I have a choice stay here or go home?” “Yes and I have to tell you this. Once you make that choice you can never come back here or leave. Now when Luna said soon she meant soon by immortal standards. I would say you have a few months to make a choice.” “Oh thanks! I was worried for a bit.” Luna stepped up to Swift/Alex, “Maybe after all this funky adventure stuff you could stop by at Canterlot and come see us!” “I would love to Luna, but I believe my friends are worried and need me to awake before they think I died.” “Alex does not tell them that we visited you. Just the information. They do not need to know of us nor anypony else.” “Yes, and thank you both! Hopefully next time I see you it won’t be in this place.” In the room where Swift lied was just Split Root sitting watching over Swift. He noticed Swift moving and saw him sat up. “Oh hey Root, where is everyone else? I have something to say to you all.” Root just stood up and stuck his head outside the room for a moment then everyone else was in the room. All of them had faces of happiness that their fried awoke. Rez ran up to hug Swift. “Swift thank Celestia you are alive! I was worried I lost somepony to practice all my pranks on!” “Now Rez Let Swift be he has had a hard time after fighting me in the sky then getting double bolted.” Sky stood near the door with a bandage around where Swift had gotten his lucky strike. “Wow Sky did I really hit you that badly?” “You sure did kid, now I heard you have something to say.” “Yes, Shield do you know of any mines near this town?” “Yes there is one about 5 miles west. Why?” “I can’t say how I know, but there is something I need that was left for me there.” “Swift there are Diamond Dogs there we can’t just walk up and look for whatever you’re looking for!” “I know, but we have to. It involves the daggers. Which by the way where are they?” Zinc used his magic to move them over to Swift, both still glowing. “Ah yes thanks Zinc, and before you say anything the daggers are just fully charged now.” “I KNEW IT!” Shield gathers their attention, “So looks like Swift gets his first Dungeon run! Let us all go and get ready while Swift rests up.” The next morning all six colts had their equipment ready for a battle. Swift read in his handbook how dungeon runs work. Adventures go into areas where enemies are about. They go in and clear the place room by room. It is a lot like D&D back on earth but without the turn based system.” Dark Shield carried his Shield that matched his Cutie mark minus the wings. Swift latter learned that it can deflect most weapons and some magic. Split root has his large Axe ready to spill blood. Zinc and Reznox both use magic so all they had was that, but Zinc cast a few pre spells that will protect everybody from poisons. Sky had two daggers and a small sword. Swift carried his two daggers. The group traveled west to the mines where Swift hoped to get what he needed to help survive in this world. 8: (input epic battle music)Team Velkons arrive at their destination. They stand in front of the entrance to the mineshaft. The sun is nearing its daily peak of noon. Shield turns to the other, “Ok guys here is our mission: Go in and look around for the vault that holds the book Swift needs. We kill any Diamond Dogs or any other enemy that comes our way. Stick together and watch each other’s backs.” The others nodded to this and then begun their descent into the damp and dark mine shaft. Rez summoned a small fire ball to light up the path ahead of them. On the ground was what is left of an old rail cart system. Around them as they walked is left over mining equipment that is all broken. As they walked down they come to a fork in the shaft. Shield held up a hoof to stop the party, “Hmmm looks like we have two choices. Swift which way do you think we should go?” “Ummmm my gut says right.” “Then right we go.” They followed the path that Swift decided to follow. About half way down they all heard the sounds of grunts. Shield stopped them then and there and listened. Swift also listened and heard what sounds like two different voices. “Ugh are they ever going to get here? It’s been days since we spotted them surely they would get greedy and come down here for some quick money from gems!” “Calm down. They will be here soon. We just have to keep patrolling till we spot them.” Dark Shield help up his shield to be ready to defend if needed. Everyone else prepared for a fight also. In the narrow mine they only had room to be one behind the other. “Rez put out that fire before they see it!” Rez did what was told and they all stood in darkness. They all stood ready to hopefully see the light of the coming enemy. After what seemed like eternity they saw a small light coming down the shaft. With nowhere else to go they all knew that a fight was about to happen. Shield took his Shield and charged forward toward the source of the light. The others followed suit. Shield charged into a pair of Diamond dogs. Both of them never knew what hit them. Shield knocked out both Diamond Dogs at the cost of a loud sound echoing through the shaft they were in. “Great. There goes the element of surprise. Be ready to fight more at any moment gang! Rez get that light up again. We are going to rush this shaft be ready to push when it comes to it!” Shield took front again and led the group down the shaft. After a while they came into a large open area that had torches lighting up the area. Not paying attention Shield and Root, whom were the two in front, both fell into a pit hole near the center of the room. Lucky for the others they stopped before it was too late. “Crap! Rez! Zinc! Use your magic and get us out hurry!” Before Rez or Zinc had the chance the two Unicorns both where picked up by ropes and heaved into the air. Rez tried to use his magic to burn through the ropes, but with no luck. “The ropes are magic proof Rez! We can’t get out” Shield was beginning to become very afraid. "Sky fly up there and cut them down! Swift get ready to cover for sky if Diamond Dogs come out kill them.” Swift took out his daggers and started to hover ready for anything to come out at him. Sky flew up to cut the ropes, but failed to cut them with his sword. “The ropes are too strong for me to cut! We need to find the mechanism that is holding them destroy it. Swift you see a lever or something?” “No I don’t” “Keep looking!” Suddenly down another shaft in the room they all heard a voice, “Well well well! About time you showed up. And look! Another lackey joined you! Hello puny Pegasus! What did these ponies promise you? Adventure? Fortune? HA! They lie! They are all worthless ponies with nothing to live for!” Walking out of the shaft stood a large Diamond Dog. Behind him was 5 other Diamond Dogs. The large Diamond Dog had a scar across his left eye. “Well Pegasus? What do you think of us? Guess Shield never told you that he has been down here before!” “Leave him out of this Beasttooth! You want revenge with me and me alone! Don’t drag my friends into this! Especially Swift! They have nothing to do with this. Why don’t you let us all out and play fair?” “Ah Shield looks like you fell for one of my traps. As you may have not notice I don’t like playing fair, but for an old friend I will make an exception. Everyone except the Unicorns will fight me and my pack. If you defeat us you win and are free to go.” “And if we lose?” “You all get to become part of my new chair! I am missing a few skulls to finish the armrests.” “Fine deal. But no more trick or traps!” Shield and Root both get out of the hole they were in. “Guys you don’t have to fight this battle. I was stupid to bring you here even for Swift’s mission. I knew the risk of him being here and I am sorry. Let me do this alone you guys don’t need to pay for it.” Sky put a hoof around Shield, “We are a team Shield. We will all fight alongside you. We can take them. Its 6 v 4. Now let us go kill these dogs and get that book for Swift and leave this place!” “Thank you my friends. Swift I know you are new to this. I want you to play it safe. Do not fight Beasttooth alone no matter what. I rather you run away and leave us for dead than you lose your life.” “Shield. You all have taken me in. Believed me in what I said. Taught me the ropes. You guys are the best friends I could ever deserve. I will fight next to you even if there were a hundred of them. Now let us go and win this.” They all stood ready to fight. Beasttooth made a motion with his hand and the 5 Dogs behind him all charged the four colts. Right off the bat Root decapitated a dog with his axe and stood next to Shield using their teamwork to fend off two other dogs. Sky was locked in battle with another Dog off to the side. Swift somehow ended up fighting a female Dog that fought with a Falchion. “Give up Pegasus! You will never win.” “Woman! I came here to chew bubble gum and kick ass. AND I`M ALL OUT OF BUBBLE GUM!” Always wanted to say that! Swift let loose and just did what he was trained to do. He got cut up a bit, but the She Dog was worse. He got a lot of hits in on her using one dagger to defend her attacks and another to attack her. “I will not disgrace my pack by losing to you!” “HA! That is where you are wrong” Swift ducked under her swing and pushed himself upward and impaled both daggers into her chest. The female Diamond Dog dropped her Falchion and fell to the ground dead. Swift took the daggers out of her and looked around. He saw that the other Diamond Dogs where down, but so was Sky and root. Shield was battling Beasttooth. “Shield! You gave me this scar on my face. I shall return the favor with my sword in your heart!” “Never! I gave mercy last time and this time there will be no mercy!” “Ha! You already lost!” Shield didn’t see but he was backed up against the wall and had nowhere to go. Beasttooth sung his sword and knocked the shield away to the side. No! Shield is going to die! Swift started to fly straight to Beasttooth. He felt a surge in himself, but ignored it. All he wanted to do was stop the sword that was about to impale his friend. He pulled his daggers in front of himself and felt the surge go through his front hoofs into the daggers. Swift felt a buzz in the air right before he shot blue lightning out of both daggers and into Beasttooth, causing a giant hole to appear in the center of his back. Beasttooth fell to his side dead. Swift fell over passed out. *Somewhere in an evil castle* A Diamond Dog came running up to their leader “Sir we have word that Beasttooth has fallen and allowed the ponies to win.” “Yes I know. It was my plan for him to fail. I wanted to know how strong they were and it seems I was right.” “What will we do now?” “Send me Darkmeld. I need to speak with him” *Back in the mine shaft* Swift awoke to see him bandaged up,” Whoa. What happened?” Shield walked up to him, “You happened. You used your magic daggers and saved my life.” “Yea I remember now. So what you think? Do I still need my book? All I need to do is just shoot lightning and BAM we win.” “Yes Swift we still need your book. I am betting 50 bits that you didn’t even mean to do that.” “Ok fine you got me there. How is everyone else?” “Just a few minor cuts and bruises. You suffered the worst though.” “Ah that’s good I think. So I am feeling better now. Can we go searching for this vault?” “Well you have been out for about an hour. So we thought that we should go ahead and look for you. We found it, but we decided to let you open it.” “Thanks a lot. So where is it?” Shield leads Swift down a shaft where they came up to a wall with lots of engravings on it. “Whoa that’s wicked. What does it say?” Zinc didn’t look up from his paper and quill,” I have no idea, but I am willing to bet your two daggers are the keys to open it. There are two slits that look like they fit in over here.” In the center of the wall were the slits. Swift walked over and put both daggers in. Suddenly Swift was in another room transported by some magic. Crap. Another trap? “No this is the vault” In front of Swift a ghostly figure stood. It appeared to be a gray pony with a white beard and a robe and hat that matched. “I am Star Swirl the bearded. You must be the new owners of the daggers I help create.” “Yes I am. Wait. If you are Star Swirl then that means…..Merlin?!” “Ah a name I have yet to hear in a very long time. Yes that is my human name. How did you come of this information?” “I am human also, Luna and Celestia told me.” “Ah my dear boy. What year was it when you left?” “Ummmm 2 centuries into the B.C era.” “I see so it has been far long.” “Wait how are you here? I thought you were dead.” “I might be. This is just a spell I created to greet the next great warrior.” “I am no warrior. I am just a normal guy.” “Boy look. The daggers pick the owner of a future great owner. You are chosen. Now take this book and this amulet and be gone! You have much to learn. The book will revile more as you grow in power and experience. The amulet is a symbol of who you are. Wear it at all times. Trust anyone who wears that same as they are like you.” Swift was suddenly back in the room with everyone holding a book and wearing the amulet. Rez walked up next to him, “Where did you get those Swift?” Swift told them what happened. Shield stood up, “Alrighty gang let’s get out of this hell hole and back up on the surface. We can plan the next thing to do in the morning. For now we get to the tavern and sleep."
1: A whole new world"Come on....I NEED A 18 OR HIGHER YOU STUPID DIE!" Alex yells at his D20 die as he lets it fly across the board. As the die comes to a stop it shows the number 17 on top. "Ooooo..Sorry Alex. You don't make the jump across the canyon." "Ug just my luck. Wait isn't Felix still by the edge? Could he reach out and grab my hand?" "No sorry remember Felix used his move to shoot an arrow at a troll. No way he has the time to catch you at the same time" Says Jake looking at his notes. "Awww come on now Jake I am an Elf. I should be fast enough." "Hmmmm ok I think you have enough trouble with the trolls alone so I'll let you try a Strength check to see if you could pull him up." "Ug the one time I wish I wasn't a dwarf. Jake if you let me fall to my death. I will haunt you in your dreams till you die. Then I will kill you." "Don't be like that. Alex It's your fault for chopping the bridge down." "ONLY BECAUSE THERE WAS 7 TROLLS ON IT! It seemed like a good idea at the time..." "Ok you two stop bickering. Jake make the roll." Jake takes his D20 die into his hand. Gives it a good luck kiss and lets it fly across the board. As it rolls across the board Alex and Felix both cringe in anticipation hopeing for a high number to lift the dwarf up and continue the fight. The die lands on a 7. "Sorry guys since the number is so low. Alex drags you down the pit with your Felix. Thus ending both your lives." Felix then takes the moment to punch Alex in the arm. Hard. "Ow! What was that for?!" "Because your fat head got me killed!" "Ug anyways that was a good run. Guess we start a new game next week Jake?" "Can't I have to take the ACT. I need a better score to get that scholarship." "Oh yea. Well good luck to you Jake! And you there Felix, what you up to next week?" "Same thing, execept if I don't get any higher I might not get to collage at all." "Wouldn't it be nice if you could just go on adventures in real life? No need to worry about book smarts. Just need to know that a dragon is fire proof and Elves can't lift Dwarfs" Alex jokes while packing up. Alex leaves his two friends and heads back to his house. Checking his watch he sees that its almost dinner time. "Mmmm bet mom is making burgers tonight. Best get home before she starts to worry." Alex hops onto his bike and pedals the 2 miles home. Along the way he figures he should take the back way through the woods since it would be faster. As Alex rides through the very small path, he sees a light toward his right. As no one should be out here Alex goes over to investigate. As he walk over to where he thinks the light was he sees a very large tree. "How long has this sucker been here? It must be over 1000 years old!" As alex looks around the tree he see's that it is hollowed out and the hole in the side is quite large, even large enought for him to fit in with no problems. As alex enters the tree he pulls out his phone to use as a light. When alex entered he noticed that the hole goes deep underground. Following his adventureing side he goes deeper into the hole in the tree. As he goes deeper the walls start changing colors from the dirt brown to blue then green then yellow then red almost like a rainbow. At the end of a cave is a small pool of water. When he looked into the pool he saw a reflection...but it wasn't him. It looked like a...PONY?!!? Backing away Alex thought to himself, "whoah the light has to be playing tricks on me..." Alex looked in the pool again seeing the same relfection. Looking up and around to see if there was a reason for this, but all he saw were the colorfull walls. With only one option left upon why Alex stuck his hand in the water to see if it wasnt water and was a TV screen or something. His hand went right in like it was water. "Huh this is really weird...I better leave.." As Alex tried to pull his hand out of the water a bright flash of light shined from the bottom and blinds him. "Hey! Hey buddy! Are you ok?!" Alex slowly awakes as he is being nuged buy someone. Alex mutters "Just a little bit longer mom..." "Hey buddy I am not your mother and you are definitely not at your house. Unless your house is the middle of a dirt path. "What? Im not on a dirt path..." Alex opens his eyes to see that indeed he was on a dirt path, But he also sees horses around him. "Uhhh sir? Where are you? All I see are horses." The horse next to him with a black fur looks at him and says, "Dude first off I am the person who woke you up and second I am a pony not a horse. Alex eyes widden and with the shock of a talking horse...pony...whatever causes him to go out. "Ug...this kid here fainted. Zinc get your magic plot over here and take care of him. Guess we are camping here for the night." Says the pony in black fur.
2: Adventures across the land!Whoah. What a weird dream. Hehe talking horses and a magic rainbow cave under a tree. Must have had way to much caffein. Alex slowly awoke from his slumber. As he wakes he stretches his arms out and sighs from a long sleep. He brings his hands to his face to rub his eyes, but when he does he dosn't feel hands touching his face. What? Where are my hands at....ARE THESE HOOFS?!?! Startled Alex looked at where his hands used to be and are now replaced with hooves. Alex then rolls out of his bed in panic and realizes that he dosnt have legs nor feet either. What the hell happend to my body! Wait...Hooves...four of them and a tail!? Wait...What has hooves and a tail? "AM I A HORSE?" Alex screemed out of thought. Looking over him self he sees his body is covered with a grey colored fur. His hair...mane? and tail are a darker grey with a single yellow highlight goings down both. After rolling on his stomach he looks over himself some more and sees on his rear is a tattoo of two blue lightning bolts crossing each other with a dagger behind them pointing upward. Also after looking on his sides he sees 2 wings When did I get a tattoo AND WINGS!? Surely I would have felt something being attached to my body in my sleep. Then again I am a horse now and I didn't feel that in my sleep either. After a second Alex realized he was in a large tent. Next to his bed was a small table with a lamp on it that lit the room up. From what he could tell it was either dark outside or the tent is made of a thick fabric. Suddenly the front flap opened up and in came that same black fur horse from earlier. "Oh I see you are awake. How you feeling buddy?" Alex slowly starts to slide away from the front of the tent. "Waaa? How are you talking?! Let alone how are you talking in English?" "Umm I'm talking the same way you are and this isn't English it is Equine" "What? No you are wrong. Where am I? How did I become a horse with wings? Why am I a horse at all? Wha.." "Whoah there budddy. Take it easy...We think you might have some brain damage or something and that might have some memory lost, but don't worry Zinc took good care of you. When you are feeling better we will take you to the closest town and then to the hospital to get a better look at you." "No you are wrong! I am a HUMAN BEING! I don't have brain damage or memory lost! This is all a dream I bet! Yea thats it. Watch in a second a clown will show up and chase me around till my mother wakes me up." "Uhhh this isn't a dream buddy. This is real life. Plus there are no clowns out here, unless you count Reznox. He is always cracking jokes." "Wait if this isn't a dream then how did I get here and how am I a horse?" "First off you are a pony or more specific a pegasus. You are in the magical world of Equestria. We are currently on a dirt path leading to the next town called Little Gem. We found you in the middle of the road right after a bright light came out of no where." "Wait...I remember a bright light. I was in a cave when thats the last thing I saw before I saw you." "Hmmm Interesting. Well lets get you out of here and get you some food you must be starving. By the way my name is Dark Shield whats yours?" Alex feeling not to trustworthy toward the talking pony he told him another name he goes by. "You can call me Swift Storm." "Well come on then Swift Storm. Lets go get some gurb!" Alex followed Dark Shield out of the tent. Looking him over he saw on his rear a tattoo like his, but it was a purple shield with wings. When he left the tent he saw 5 other tents like the one he was in. In the center of all the tents was a camp fire with 4 other ponies around it talking and eating. When Alex nearned the campfire all heads turned toward him. All of them had different colored fur and manes. It looked like a rainbow had kids with a pony. Alex trotted over and after a minute of trying to figure out how to sit, he decided to lay down instead. "Everypony this here is Swift Storm. Be nice while he trys to explain to all of us what that bright light we saw was." Alex explained how he was on his way home and how he found the pool of water. He also explained that he wasn't a pony at all rather instead he was a human. "What does a human look like?" Asked a pony that looked like him with wings but was a blue instead of his grey coat. "Well we walk on two legs instead of 4. We also dont have hair all over us just on top of our head and some other areas. We have fingers and toes, and we don't have tails." "Wait so like minitars?" asked the same blue pony. "Ehhh kinda exepct with our the bull part." The night continued with questions going around from pony to pony. Late at night in Canterlot Castle. "Sister did you feel is as we had?" "Yes Luna I did. I just hope It is friend like last time." "Yes StarwSwirl The Bearded was a great friend of ours wasn't he?" "Very much so, but for now we wait to see if this being turns up somewhere."
3: Getting to know each other.Swift spent the whole night gettin to know the other ponies and telling the other ponies about himself. Man I need to make mental notes about all of these guys (Yes they are all male) So basically this is what I learned so far: Dark shield- A black fur and purple earth pony. Has a purple shield with wings for a cutie mark. *I learned that these marks state said ponies *special talent* is. He seems to be the leader of this group.* Zinc- A Unicorn with dark green fur with pepper mane and tail. He has a large red plus sign for his cutie mark as he is the medic. I was told he was the one who treated me when I passed out. Reznox- A light purple fur coated clown. He loves puling pranks with his magic. (while we were all talking he made the illusion that a pack of wolfs made of wood were coming to eat us). His mane is pure white. He says it used to yellow though. His cutie mark is a ball of fire since he specializes in fire magic. Splitroot- Aparently a relative of Dark Shield though they dont know how. He has a light brown coat with dirt brown mane and tail. His cutie mark is a large double bladed axe. He and Dark Shield work together for offence and defence when they ever fight. Sky Shadow- A Blue coat pegasus with red main and tail. He didn't talk much about him self. From what I can tell his cutie mark also has a dagger on it, but also has an arrow forming an X pattern. After explaining as much about humans as Swift could, Shield told everyone thats enough for tonight and head to bed. Everyone except Reznox went to bed as he had the night watch. *Swift/Alex dream land* "Swift......Swift Storm...I know you can hear me..." "Uhhhh what?" Swift looks around and sees he is in some clouded place. What seem to be walls also seem to be clouds shifting around. A dark figure appeard infront of him. "Swift Storm I am Princess Luna. It seems you are not at all who you said you are." The tall dark blue pony stood infront of swift. She had wings and a horn and was at least twice his size. "Uhhhh how do you have wings and a horn?" "Really? Thats the first thing you say? No screams or crying how you got or where you are?" "Yea I guess....I already kinda accepted that I really am in Equestri-whatever...." "Equestria" "Right. Thanks. Anywho I asked some questions and I thought I understood the basics till you showed up." "I am an alicorn. Only those that are on the throne can assend to such a powerfull form." "So you are what the Queen of Equestria?" "My sister and I are the princesses. Only one of us can be a queen and we wish to be equal, so we kept our current status when it became time for one of us to be a queen." "Interesting, where is your sister?" "She is asleep. She rules the day time while I rules the night." "Makes sense I guess. Why are you here?" "Because you are the first of your kind to be here in over 1000 years." "My kind? As in Humans?" "Yes. In the near future you will be given a choice. To return home or stay here. The last one chose to stay here, he went by Starswirl the Bearded in this world, But in yours he went by Merlin." "Wait....THE MERLIN?! As in wizard of the times when Kind Aurthur ruled?" "Ahhhh so you do know of him. Yes he was a mighty Unicorn. He taught us almost 1/3 of our current known spells." "Have there been others like he and I?" "A few but the others are not important. For now rest child. You will have a....Interesting few days." She gave a small smirk then vanished. Swift awoke the next morning to a wonderfull smell. If they have bacon I will never leave this place. Swift left the tent that he woke up in yesterday. Over by the fire was Dark Shield cooking. "Hey Swift! Come over here and get some grub. We are going to be leaving soon so make it quick. After that I will show you how to take down the tent and give you a pack to carry stuff in." Alex went over and sat next to Shield. In the pan looked to be round orange things.... "It's carrots. Try one you might like it." "Uhhh how do I pick it up? Do you have a fork or something?" "Oh right...You had what? Fingers? Anywho you just pick it up with your hoof. It really isn't hard." Shield use his hoof to pick up a carrot from the pan and shoved it into his own mouth. "See? Now you try." Swift moved his hoof into the pan and attempted to pick up a carrot. Surprisingly it wasn't that hard at all! He moved the carrot into his mouth and ate it. Flavor erupted in his mouth. "Oh my god....These are AMAZIING! Carrots back on earth never tasted like this." Wait. Mabey it's the fact I am a pony now. Ponies like carrots and apples. Wait that means I don't eat meat anymore... "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!" Swift shouted. Shield jumped scared."What is it? Are they bad?" "No I just realized I am a herbivore now. That means I don't eat meat." "Ahh let me guess you loved meat?" "Yea all humans do. Well most do. Some try to go on a no meat diet saying eating meat is wrong," "Well you didn't eat horses did yea?" "I didn't no, but some did." Shields face turned into a face Swift wish to never see again. He looked like he was going to travel to Earth and murder ever human there. "Hey Shield, horses and ponies aren't like the ones here. They are mindless and can't even talk. Trust me. Humans don't go and murder the animials. They let them live full lives and put them out of pain when they get old. (Swift lied a bit hopeing to calm Shield down)" "I guess thats better. I thought you did it for sport or even for the fun of it." "No not at all. Come on lets get packed up." Swift and shield pack up the tent. Shield gave Swift a temp saddle bag. "This one is a spare I carry. We will get you a real one once we get to Little Gem." As Shield begin to walk away Swift put his hand on his sholder and turned him around. "Shield...I just want to say thanks for everything you done so far. Taking me in, believing me, everything." "Don't worry kid. I will not let any thing bad happen to you. You are in my group now and I let nothing happen to my group." "By the way have you ever thought of a name for you group? Like a team name or something of the sorts?" "Yes we go by Team Velkons" After everyone packed up their belongins they followed the dirt path toward Little Gem.
4: No pain no gain.Swift and his friends continue their journey toward Little Gem. Dark Shield came up next to Swift. "Hey Swift I was thinking. Do you have any combat experience at all? Like do you know how to fight?" "No not at all. Why do you ask?" "Well sometimes along our adventures we stumble across trouble. Whether it be bandits, Manticores, or even dragons. I just want to be sure you know how to fight and defend yourself." "I guess you're right. So what you going to teach me? Some mighty python strike with using only my tail? Or are you going to show me how to kill someone with just one single hoof?” Swift made some funny fighting stances he saw in movies back home as best he could in his pony form. "I have a few ideas," Shield had a sly smile on his face, "when we set up camp for the night I'll start training you." "Awesome thanks man." After a long mornings travel Shield decided to stop for lunch. Everyone dropped their bags and Reznox went over to start a fire with his magic. "Hey Swift get over here and help me with this fire!" "Sure thing Reznox." "I need you to use your wings and give the spark some air so it can spread faster." "Why not just light the whole pile on fire?" "See when using magic, ponies only have so much to use. It's like a cup of water. Drinking from the cup is using magic and over time it will fill back up." "So can I use magic like that?" "Not like me, no. Pegasi use their magic to control weather and walk on clouds, Earth ponies use magic for endurance and strength, and unicorns use their magic to manipulate their surroundings." "So no shooting fire out of my wings," Swift said in disappointment. "Sorry kid nope. Oh and btw your tail is on fire...." Swift looked behind him to see the tip of his tail on fire. 'AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Swift ran around the camp screaming and hollering about his tail on fire. Reznox is rolling on the ground laughing when Shield came up and grabbed Swift by his tail. Swift was jerked back and fell to the ground. "Swift look it’s not on fire. Reznox pulled one of his pranks just now," Shield put his hand on the fire around Swifts tail while saying this to show he is telling the truth. "And it was a good one to." Zinc came out of his tent to see what the commotion was about, “Reznox please keep your pranks quite? Some of us are trying to read here." "Oh lighten up Zinc it was a harmless prank. What you reading anyhow?" "A book about lost magic abilities for Pegasi and earth ponies." "Yea sounds like old filly tales to me. Get over here, grab some food, and be ready for a show. Shield is going to teach swift how to fight!" Sighing, Zinc put his book up and came out with a first aid kit," Then we will need this when the fight is over." Shield draws a circle in the ground to mark the area which both ponies will have to stay in. Pointing at Swift, Shield said, “Ok I want you to just try to defend yourself best you can without stepping out of the arena, ok?” “Ok sounds easy enough.” Swift gets in a stance to prepare himself for any hits Shield comes at him with. Shield looks at Swift and mentally laughs at his ridicules stance. “Swift you will never last long like that. Spread your back legs farther apart. Keep your knees slightly bent too!” Swift adjusts as Shield recommended. After seeing Swift was ready, Shield charges at him with a right hook. Swift ducks to avoid the punch, but ends up with a face full of Shields other hoof. “You have to keep moving. Your enemy will not just do one punch at a time. What you think this is? A movie where the bad guys suck at fighting? This is real life mate, welcome to Hell!” Shield didn’t let up at all while fighting Swift. They kept at it for a couple of hours before Zinc called it off. “Alright Shield stop beating him up so he can still walk later.” Giving one last punch into Swift’s back Shield leaves the circle and goes over to the camp fire and sits. Swift moans in pain as he rolls onto his back. “That was the worst beating I have ever felt.” Zinc walks up next to Swift to treat his wounds. “You’re lucky he didn’t use a weapon. Plus he is an earth pony so he will be tough. You should try to move around faster and give smaller punches in his weak spots. Like his sides and underbelly.” “Since when did you become a fighting expert?” “I just know how ponies work. Pegasi are much quicker than earth ponies, but lack in strength. If you time it right you can move around his punches and get in a few fast ones on him.” “Thanks. I will remember that next time we train.” “Which won’t be today, you have enough bruises to last a week.” Zinc finishes wrapping up Swift’s wounds. Swift gets up and sits next to Shield. “Zinc is right you know, Swift” Sighing from pain Swift responds,” He sounds like he knows a lot. Did you really have to go all out on me?” “Better to toughen up with lots of pain now rather than start out slow” “Well you could have taught me how to fight. All you did was punch me over and over while I tried to dodge you.” “Let me let you know about me a bit kid…. Long ago I trained for the Canterlot Armed Forces, or CAF for short. First day there guess what they made us new guys do?” “What?” Ask Swift now interested into knowing some info on his new friends. “They gave us three choices, : Run 100 laps around the battle grounds, Spar all day with any senior guard, or leave. I chose the spar since I have 2 older brothers I’m used to the beatings, but let me tell you, they did not hold back at all. I barely got up the next morning for breakfast with all the pain I was in. So just to let you know I went easy on you.” “Wait if you trained to be in the CAF why are you here adventuring?” Laughing Shield replied, “Because, It wasn’t for me. Standing still at doors doing nothing? Not for me.” “What about Splitroot? I never hear him talk what’s his life story?” “He grew up in a very large family. Had 17 brothers and sisters and he was smacked in the middle of the age group. So he was kind of ignored all his life till he left. I found him one day alone at a bar. Never said a word since I knew him from a family gathering a few years before then I just asked to join and he accepted. So usually me and him go around doing quests and hire or ask others to join when needed.” “So he never talks? Like a mute?” “Yupp, you can’t get a single word out of him.” “Last year I heard him scream that’s about as close you will ever get.” Swift got up wincing in pain as he moved, “how much longer till we get to Little Gem?” asked Swift. “Should be there by nightfall, but we will sleep outside the town tonight to save a few extra bits and allow us to get better rooms when other ponies leave the tavern in the morning.” “Works for me, so we going to leave soon or wait because I’m pooped from the beating you gave me.” “We will leave soon kid, if you want go ahead and pack up won’t take long for the rest of us to pack also.” Swift went over to his tent and started to pack everything he has. After 3 attempts to get his tent in his saddle he had to ask Shield to help him again. “Hey Shield when will I get real weapons? I see the rest of you carrying some expect for Zinc, even Reznox has a dagger on him.” “Well that’s an extra agenda for us to attend to in Little Gem. We will get you the proper equipment you will need. So on the way think of what weapons you want to learn to use and we can get you some.” “Wait I don’t have any money to use to pay for anything.” “Ha! You don’t think I know that? I was going to pay for you. Years of adventures have left me some extra spending money, and before you say no my mind is set. Don’t worry I won’t spend all my money on you, just the basics needs. Any money you find or earn from here on out you can use for yourself or pay off the debt you think is real. I don’t care.” Sighing Swift gave up on the thought of arguing, “Fine but I will pay you back!” “Come on kid let us get going. It is only a few hours away, we might have enough time for another quick training session.” As sarcastic as he could Swift replied, “yay….” Team Velkons left their campsite and headed to their destination with hopes of sleep to be found sooner than later.
5: Daggers and Flying*Somewhere deep in a mine somewhere* The cave is dark; you can hear the sound of paws rapidly hitting the cold wet ground of the cave in a hurry. Running is a diamond dog, heading to the center of the cave system to where his boss is at. Once out of the dark tunnel he approaches the throne and bows to a large dark figure. “You highness, our scouts say that a group of 6 ponies are on their way into town. We believe these ponies to be the ones paid to rid of us.” The dark figured look at one of his servants. It has been 4 years since he has taken command of these diamond dogs as they call themselves. They were his first group of servants, as they all coward under his power. The dark figured stood and held his hands outward to calm all the dogs down. “My most loyal disciples, these ponies are not as powerful as us! We will set up a trap to capture them and take them as our prisoners. So I ask that a small group of you stay behind while the rest of use move on with our plans and head to our next destination. Who wishes to be remembered forever as heroes!?” A group of 10 large Diamond Dogs come forth. Then another two come up after them. “Come up here HEROES! Everyone here look at your saviors! Remember them forever as I will!” Thinking to himself the figure thought “Pift these guys are dumb as they come. It will take all of them to even possibly hold those six prisoners. Half of them just for that one Pegasus.” “Let us go everyone else! Let us come and continue with our plan.” All the dogs followed their master through the maze of tunnels to where they are needed. The twelve that stayed behind continued to work on the plan to capture the six. *Outside of Little Gem* “Swift! Come here,” Shouted Swift knew the voice to belong to Sky Shadow. Ugh. Please don’t let him teach me my only second lesson fighting. I already know how to at least not get hit by Shield another Pegasus who knows how to fight as a Pegasus will just murder me. Swift stepped out of his tent. Looking around he can see the town of Little Gem not far away. He walked over to where Dark Shield and Sky Shadow both stood waiting on him. Shield sees Swift walking over,” Swift, Sky here will be teaching your next lesson. You will follow him and do as he says.” Shield pulls Swift closer and whispers in his ear, “And I know he can come off rude, but he means well. Just have some faith and you might learn something.” Sighing Swift responded, “If you say so. If I don’t come back that means Sky killed me or left me to die.” After the two ponies stopped their secret talking Sky started walking into the forest. Swift thinking of all the ways he can and might die followed. They followed what seems to be either a trail made by forest animals or a path used very little. After what seems to be forever in the dark forest they come to a clearing. What Swift did not know was that they have been slowly been going uphill. They both now stood on top of a cliff with the ground to be about 40 feet below them. Sky Shadow not looking behind him at Swift, but looking at the sky itself feeling the wind against his face. “Since you have been a Pegasus for only a few days Shield and I assumed you have no idea to fly. Holy balls! I forgot I can fly now. Wait...HIS HE GOING TO TEACH ME TO FLY?! I really am going to die. At least falling is somewhat a swift and painless death. “Now I want you to watch me as I fly.” Sky then unfolded his wings and gave them a few stretches. He keeps them straight out then walks to the edge of the cliff. He takes a deep breath then falls forward. He fell straight down till he almost hit the ground, then he adjusted his wings to capture the wind in them then made a sharp turn upward. Swift sat in amazement as Sky made that quick adjustment in the air with what seemed to be little effort. Sky flew in the sky using his wings to keep him in the air. Sky looked over at Swift and saw him in awe with his mouth open. “Ha! This kid knows nothing at all! How about I show off?” Sky did some loops in the sky and barrel rolls. He decided to get cocky and do one of his favorite things. Sky started to fly straight upward. Climbing higher and higher till Swift was just a speck of color on the ground. Noticing his height Sky folded his wings against his body and made himself face downward. His pace of falling started to accelerate at gravity took over his body. He kept going faster and faster. He stared to feel the air around him squeeze tighter as he started to accelerate to the speed he wanted. As he neared the ground he took his wings out suddenly and altered his angle in a split second causing a break in the sound barrier sending a shockwave of sound to echo across the area around him. If Sky was closer he would have saw that Swift literally pissed himself from pure amazement Swift saw. *Swift POV* Whoa why is Sky going up so high? Wait he is falling now….IS HE HURT?! Uh what do I do? What do I do!??!?!?! Suddenly a wall of sound and air hits Swift. In awe Swift had no control of his bladder and pissed himself. OH CRAP! Uh lets just move over here and hope he doesn’t see that. Sky lands next to Swift “So kid you think you're ready for your first flight lesson?” “If I can do that air explosion thing you just did I will take flying lessons for three days straight.” “Ha kid not just any Pegasus can do that. You have to be the best flier in equestrian to even do it perfectly. I can’t get fast enough so I can just barley do the shockwave. Almost 60 years ago a Pegasus named Amelia was the first to do it. All she did was fly around places. She wanted to fly across the world to find unknown lands. I knew her personally since she was my grandmother and all. Wait. He isn’t talking about Amelia Earhart who went missing in my world? Wonder who else from earth has ended up here? “Alright now let’s start by unfolding your wings and giving them a few flaps.” Swift did what he was told and found it a very weird feeling with wings having the muscles move along his back nothing like being human ever felt. “Ok good. Now try to flap them as hard as you can and fast as you can to try to float off the ground.” The lesson went on for another hour or so. At the end of it Swift could fly for about ten minutes in the air. “Alright let’s get back to camp and rest up. We have a long day tomorrow. Also Swift don’t tell the others about my trick. They don’t need to know about that since I’m trying to keep my tough guy act on, I’m only being nice to you since you are the only other Pegasus in the group now.” “Ok Sky you can count on me no problem” The two Pegasi headed back to camp to rest up for the night. The next morning the group of six colts headed into the busy town of Little Gem. Swift couldn’t believe all the different colors ponies had on them and their cutiemarks. Everyone was unique and doing the jobs they loved to do. Shield led the group to a tavern in the center of the town. Once everyone got inside and to a table they all could sit at Shield started to talk. “Ok guys you know the rules, but for Swifts sake I’m going to repeat them. You are free to do as you wish all day. You are to report here at the tavern at every meal. Try to stay out of trouble. I will most likely be here at the tavern most of the day. If you can’t find me look for Sky.” Everyone started to split up to go do any errands they might have. Shield pulled Reznox and Swift to the side. “Ok Rez you are in charge of equipping Swift with proper gear. Put it all on my tab.” Saluting in a mocky way Rez replied. “Yes captain you orders will be fulfilled as you requested!” “Just get it done Rez,” Shield rolled his eyes and trotted off. “Alright Swift lets go ON AN ADVENTUUUUURRREEEEE!” Reznox skipped out of the tavern with Swift behind. “Alright first thing first you will need a bag to carry everything in. If I remembered the bag shop is down this street on the right.” They entered a shop with a sign that said “Bag World” Inside were rows of every color and size of bag that could ever exist. A colt came up to them and asked, “Can I help you two?” “Yes my friend here needs a bag.” “Ah of course as you can see I sell only the best! Now what kind will you need?” “Get him a saddle bag that matches his coat and mane. Also have it where weapons can be sheathed on it for quick access. And so he knows it’s his put his cutie mark on the sides. All payments go under Dark Shield.” “Ah another member of the might team Velkons! I’ll see what I can get for you it will just be a moment.” After taking measurements of Swift and jotting them on a notepad. The colt went into the back of his shop. “So Rez I guess Shield is known in this town?” “Well most adventures are. This town is a main stopping point for most travelers thus has almost anything you could ever need. It isn’t a large trade town just a nice town to stop by.” After about 10 minutes or so the colt came out with a bag that was the same grey as his coat. The straps were the same yellow that streaks across his mane. On the sides shows his cutie mark, two lightning bolts and a dagger. “I assumed you will be using daggers since that is your cutie mark so on both side are sheathes for daggers. I also made it to fit without it getting in the way of your wings. Oh and on the house for my friend Shield I added a money pouch on the inside.” “Thanks a lot sir!” Swift put on his new bag and it fits perfectly. Nothing back home could have fit like this on human nor horse! Leaving the shop Rez and Swift went shop to shop to get Swift what he needed. Camping gear. Food and Water containers, and bed rolls. At the end of their list ended them up at a blacksmith. “Hello boys! How can I, Smithy, help you?” “My friend Swift here needs weapons, all payments will go to Dark Shield.” “AHA! That old bloke finally found him a fresh one? Well come on boy, If Shield is paying might as well get you the best.” Inside were rows of weapons on the walls and some on the counter top. Weapons of any and all kinds Swift could tell were in this shop. “So Swift was it? What will it be? Bow, daggers, sword? Maybe the good old Mace?” “I want to look at your daggers. Since my cutie mark has a dagger on it.” “Works for me. Follow me over here.” Smithy lead the two toward a wall covered in daggers. “Almost all of these are made by my hoofs with some help.” Swift was in awe of all the different daggers. They all ranged in the shape of the blade to the hilts. As he looked at the wall he looked over to his right. There by themselves was a pair of blue daggers. Pointing at them Swift asked, “What about those two over there.” “Oh those are uh not made by me. The other day a man came in to sell them said that the true owner will find them soon. He left in such a hurry he forgot to take all his payment.” “Can I see them?” “Sure lad no problem just let me go get the key to open the case they are in.” Smithy opened the case and handed the pain of daggers to Swift. “From what I can tell by my expert smith skills. The daggers are made by cloud steel. An old way Pegasi used to make their weapons. The gem in the center of the hilt there is some sort of sapphire and on the gem on the bottom I never seen. It looks like a cloud stuck in crystal of some kind, but it could just be an enchantment to look like that.” Swift reached out to grab one. Once he held it in his hoof he could feel something coming from the dagger. As if it was calling out to him. The gem on the bottom showed something, as he looked closer inside he saw lightning. “Whoa I think I just saw lightning in the cloud gem.” “Ha your funny lad if that’s true then that gem is one of the rarest things ever. Only the princesses themselves have that kind of gem. Storm gems are the most magical gems ever to exist. Anyways you seem to like them. If you want I will sell them to yea.” “Sure thanks mister.” After Smithy made a note that Shield will pay. Swift put the daggers in their places on his new bag. Reznox and Swift headed back to the tavern for lunch.
6: Lightning never strikes twice.When Reznox and Swift Storm returned back to the tavern for lunch was when Swift realized how hungry he really was. They spotted Zinc and Shield at the same table they sat earlier that morning. “Swift! Rez! Over here let me see what my money paid for.” Shield motioned for Swift to hand over his new bag. “Ah very well made bag that will last you a very long time. Let’s see …normal equipment for the average adventure, but there is one thing you forgot.” Shield pulled out a book from under the table. “This here is the hand book all adventurers live, breathe, and die by. If you accept this you are officially one of us. So do you Swift Storm take this book and uphold all that is called upon your duty as an adventurer?” “Wait what? You are telling me that there is an official handbook? Like some type of code of chivalry?” “In a way yes, but it’s more of a guidebook than a live by this or die rule book. It is full of tips and general information of our ways.” “Oh ok, than sure yea.” Shield passed over the book and Swift stuck it in his bag for later. Zinc looked at his bag and noticed a pair of daggers in them. “Swift you are forgetting to show off your new weapons! Let me see I do know a thing or two about these things.” Zinc used his magic to levitate the daggers out of the bag still sheathed. As Zinc looked at the sheathes he then pulls one of the blades out. “Swift, or rather Rez….Where did you buy these?” “From Smithy, said that some guy came in and just wanted to rid of them or something like that. They were not cheap either!” Shield takes the other dagger and examines it as well, “I trust Smithy. He is a long friend of mine and has been nothing for good. If he priced it than he thought that price was fair.” Zinc then saw the gem at the bottom.” Shield look at the counterweight in the bottom. Is that what I think it is?” “Well Rez either you paid too little or too much for these, or one is more believable than the other. It seems either the gems on the bottom are storm gems or they are fake”. “Wait what are storm gems?” Asked Swift. Zinc put down the dagger he held in his magic and looked to Swift. “Gems are used to hold certain spells for a period of time. Storm gems are the most powerful gems. Not powerful as in can destroy the world in a blink of the eye, but they are the only gems capable of holding long lost magic that Pegasi can do. Storm gems can contain a rare type of magic, what that is exactly isn’t known, but it is thought to be some type of weather magic. It is all here in the book I have been reading.” “So how does one know if they really are storm gems?” “Well typically they are a storm in a gem, but so far I have yet to see a storm in here just a bunch of fog.” “If it helps earlier I saw some lightning in them.” Zinc looked at Swift in awe. “Are you sure Swift? Are you sure it wasn’t the light reflecting off of it?” “Pretty sure yea. Why is that bad?” “Well my book doesn’t say, but for when you practice fighting with these use them outside please.” Shield stood up then, “Speaking of practice Swift me and you out back in 10 min.” Shield walked outside to prepare an area for them two to spar. Shield and Sky took turns training Swift in fighting and flight. After 3 days of this shield then begun to teach him how to fight with the daggers. “Ok Since you are lucky and are a Pegasus you can float with your wings and hold the daggers in your front hoofs, or if are unable to fly hold one in your mouth or one hoof.” Now you think that for a human turned pony would understand how to hold something in his hoof. Even being in this world for several days Swift still had problems with holding the daggers. “Swift keep your grip on those suckers! The enemy will not stop to let you pick it up.” Shield yelled at Swift. “Yea I know” You yell it every time I do it. After another session of sweat and the sun beating down on the training duo, Shield said that it was time for a break. “You are getting better Swift. Soon that target dummy will never know what hit him.” Reznox said coming over to see how they were doing. “Haha very funny Rez. How about you and me fight. No magic just pure manly fists.” “Naaa I don’t want to make your face any worse than it is.” “Enough Rez, Swift has been getting better. Soon he will be able overcome some enemies. This brings us to tomorrow. Swift you will spar off with your dagger against Sky.” Oh my god. This is how I die. Sky has to keep up his tough guy face and will stab me with his weapon in the chest. Well might as well have fun. “And before you get any ideas Sky will not kill you.” HOLY BALLS Can he read minds? “Yes I can” “Now you are really creeping me out dude.” “Na I was kidding. I am just really good at reading faces.” Shield, Rez, and Swift all went to their rooms. Swift pulled out his adventure handbook and read where he left off in the chapter of looting. In the event that loot is found all loot is evenly distributed. Anything that cannot be evenly done so will either be counted as special loot or given how the leader of said party wants. Special loot goes to whomever the party as a whole agrees it goes to I will have to remember this out on the road. Note to self. Look under every rock for loot. Swift woke up to Split Root knocking on his door. “Hey Root, let me guess early day for an early beating from Sky?” Root said nothing expect nodded and went down to the table that they always had their meals at. After breakfast was eaten, the group of six went to where Swift has been practicing. Zinc walked next to Swift.” Ok just to let you know I have enchanted the blades to dull so that you can’t hurt Sky too badly if you get lucky. Also I was examining them and it seems that the gems on the bottom do have magic in them. So if you feel at all a different let me know right away.” “Ok will do.” Swift looked up to the sky and sees in the distance a storm is brewing. “Hope that storm is not a bad omen of what is to come.” Sky and Swift stood on either ends of the arena. Shield walked to the center and started the rules,” Ok so normal dueling rules. If you set a hoof on the ground outside the arena you lose. If you are knocked out you lose. No killing allowed. And remember fight dirty!” Shield then stood over to the side. “Swift as a friendly reminder you can fly outside of the arena and still be good. I want to take this to the sky as soon as possible so be ready!” Ok just remember your training from Shield and Zinc. You are both Pegasi so don’t expect power from his attacks. I have daggers, but I bet he can disarm me in a second. I just hope I don’t get hurt too much. Sky watched Swift have a mental discussion with himself,” I am going to enjoy beating him up so much!” Swift made the first move. He rushed forward to try and just get a hit in on Sky. Sky simply side stepped Swift and used his wing to push him over. Swift stood up again and tried again with the same results. “You know Swift you are not going to get anywhere by only using your hoofs. Use your daggers I won’t disarm you this spar is to see how you are with them you know.” Swift sighed and pull out his daggers. Using his wings to float above the ground and hold both daggers in his hoofs. Well here goes nothing. Swift let loose of his thoughts and just did what he practiced. Using only his movements to turn and swing the blades into the next attack. Sky dodged most of the attacks and only suffered minor cuts. “Hey kid you are pretty good I will give you that. How about we take this up a level shall we?” Sky took to the skies and Swift followed. In the sky the two spared. Swift swinging his daggers and Sky dodging them. Man this is hard trying to focus on flying and hitting Sky. As they fight the storm slowly moved its way to Little Gem. Zinc saw this and shouted up to the two Pegasi, “Guys lets end this now! The storm is getting too close!” but his shouts were taken away by the wind. Sky and Swift are still fighting. The wind currents take them in its grasp and only thing they Pegasi can do it just ride the wind out, Swift sees an opening when a gust of wind off balances Sky. Tilting his wings he let the wind shoot him at Sky. Sky never saw it coming and received a very deep cut in his side. “OUCH! Dude that was cheap and smart.” *hello this is your friendly Author here :D. This part that is about to happen is going to be in slow motion as multiple things happen all at once very fast. So please enjoy* Swift realized what he did and decided to try something to finish off his opponent. He flew up higher into the storm to use the clouds as cover skill keeping an eye on Sky. Sky during this is still trying to recover from the cut Swift gave him. Once Swift was above Sky he turned downward toward Sky and used his wings to slam into Sky, but bad luck happens. A bolt of lightning hits Swifts daggers surging into Swift. Swift blacks out and start to fall. Sky sees what happens and dives down after him. Swift is falling faster and faster gravity takes over. Shield, Root, Rez, and Zinc all run to where they see Swift falling. Before anyone could do anything another bolt of lightning hit Swift again this time bringing him out of the black out. Seeing how he is about to hit the ground he tries to using his wings to slow his fall, but he was to close and was only able to get a single flap of his wings before he hits the ground rolling.
6.5/7: Preparing for a fight.Swift lies in a hospital bed surrounded by his friends. Swift has a concussion and has yet to wake up for a whole day. The doctor informed the others that only time will allow Swift to wake up, but Swift was lucky he used that last second to slow his fall as much as he did as from the sound of it he would be dead right now. Next to Swift lays his saddle bag with his daggers glowing next to him. Zinc picked up the daggers for probably the 100th time since he picked them off the ground seeing them glowing once Swift hit the ground, “I know these are the reason for the lightning, but I want to know why. Was it to charge them up? And if they are charged what will they do?” Shield put a hoof on the daggers and put them down back on the table. “Zinc if you have yet to figure it out then the odds of you finding something now is slim. All we have to do is hope and pray to Celestia and Luna that they will help him.” *Back to the dream world!* OWwwwwww my head is killing me! Where am I? Wait…I am back to that place where I met Luna! Except its different. The place has both dark and light patches of fog. After getting his bearings Swift stood up and asked allowed. “Luna! Are you here? I could use some help getting back to my body.” “Yes dear Alex, I also brought someone with me for you to meet.” Luna and another pony that also had a horn and wings appeared from the fog. The other pony was at least another foot taller and has white fur. “Hello dear Alex, I am so glad to finally meet you! How do you feel?” “Like I hit a brick wall while licking a car battery. What happened?” “Your fight with Sky invoked the magic in your daggers. Since the energy in the two sky gems was low they had to call upon the weather to refill them. Unfortunately you were holding them at that time and suffered, but do not fear. You are alive just unconscious and that should not happen for at least another 50 years depending on how often you use them.” “Wait use them? As in they really have magic in them and I can use magic?” “Not any magic, Alex. That magic is long lost. I imagine that it is lost for a reason. Luna and I will tell you where to find a book that will contain the lost arts of this magic and can show you how to use it. For now try to not use them when fighting friends as you might accidently use them and hut somepony.” “Interesting. So is that it? I go to some library check out a book than I get to shoot lightning out of my eyes?” “Not quite that easy. The book was put in a vault in a mine near the town you are in now, but beware the mine is owned by Diamond dogs and they do not like outsiders. So side with caution.” “Diamond Dogs? Please tell me they are not dogs made out of diamond….” “No not at all. They are just Dog people that are greedy and mine for gems of all kinds.” “Ok thanks Princesses Celestia! Anything else before I wake up?” “Do you remember what Luna told you?” “Yes I have a choice stay here or go home?” “Yes and I have to tell you this. Once you make that choice you can never come back here or leave. Now when Luna said soon she meant soon by immortal standards. I would say you have a few months to make a choice.” “Oh thanks! I was worried for a bit.” Luna stepped up to Swift/Alex, “Maybe after all this funky adventure stuff you could stop by at Canterlot and come see us!” “I would love to Luna, but I believe my friends are worried and need me to awake before they think I died.” “Alex does not tell them that we visited you. Just the information. They do not need to know of us nor anypony else.” “Yes, and thank you both! Hopefully next time I see you it won’t be in this place.” In the room where Swift lied was just Split Root sitting watching over Swift. He noticed Swift moving and saw him sat up. “Oh hey Root, where is everyone else? I have something to say to you all.” Root just stood up and stuck his head outside the room for a moment then everyone else was in the room. All of them had faces of happiness that their fried awoke. Rez ran up to hug Swift. “Swift thank Celestia you are alive! I was worried I lost somepony to practice all my pranks on!” “Now Rez Let Swift be he has had a hard time after fighting me in the sky then getting double bolted.” Sky stood near the door with a bandage around where Swift had gotten his lucky strike. “Wow Sky did I really hit you that badly?” “You sure did kid, now I heard you have something to say.” “Yes, Shield do you know of any mines near this town?” “Yes there is one about 5 miles west. Why?” “I can’t say how I know, but there is something I need that was left for me there.” “Swift there are Diamond Dogs there we can’t just walk up and look for whatever you’re looking for!” “I know, but we have to. It involves the daggers. Which by the way where are they?” Zinc used his magic to move them over to Swift, both still glowing. “Ah yes thanks Zinc, and before you say anything the daggers are just fully charged now.” “I KNEW IT!” Shield gathers their attention, “So looks like Swift gets his first Dungeon run! Let us all go and get ready while Swift rests up.” The next morning all six colts had their equipment ready for a battle. Swift read in his handbook how dungeon runs work. Adventures go into areas where enemies are about. They go in and clear the place room by room. It is a lot like D&D back on earth but without the turn based system.” Dark Shield carried his Shield that matched his Cutie mark minus the wings. Swift latter learned that it can deflect most weapons and some magic. Split root has his large Axe ready to spill blood. Zinc and Reznox both use magic so all they had was that, but Zinc cast a few pre spells that will protect everybody from poisons. Sky had two daggers and a small sword. Swift carried his two daggers. The group traveled west to the mines where Swift hoped to get what he needed to help survive in this world.
8: (input epic battle music)Team Velkons arrive at their destination. They stand in front of the entrance to the mineshaft. The sun is nearing its daily peak of noon. Shield turns to the other, “Ok guys here is our mission: Go in and look around for the vault that holds the book Swift needs. We kill any Diamond Dogs or any other enemy that comes our way. Stick together and watch each other’s backs.” The others nodded to this and then begun their descent into the damp and dark mine shaft. Rez summoned a small fire ball to light up the path ahead of them. On the ground was what is left of an old rail cart system. Around them as they walked is left over mining equipment that is all broken. As they walked down they come to a fork in the shaft. Shield held up a hoof to stop the party, “Hmmm looks like we have two choices. Swift which way do you think we should go?” “Ummmm my gut says right.” “Then right we go.” They followed the path that Swift decided to follow. About half way down they all heard the sounds of grunts. Shield stopped them then and there and listened. Swift also listened and heard what sounds like two different voices. “Ugh are they ever going to get here? It’s been days since we spotted them surely they would get greedy and come down here for some quick money from gems!” “Calm down. They will be here soon. We just have to keep patrolling till we spot them.” Dark Shield help up his shield to be ready to defend if needed. Everyone else prepared for a fight also. In the narrow mine they only had room to be one behind the other. “Rez put out that fire before they see it!” Rez did what was told and they all stood in darkness. They all stood ready to hopefully see the light of the coming enemy. After what seemed like eternity they saw a small light coming down the shaft. With nowhere else to go they all knew that a fight was about to happen. Shield took his Shield and charged forward toward the source of the light. The others followed suit. Shield charged into a pair of Diamond dogs. Both of them never knew what hit them. Shield knocked out both Diamond Dogs at the cost of a loud sound echoing through the shaft they were in. “Great. There goes the element of surprise. Be ready to fight more at any moment gang! Rez get that light up again. We are going to rush this shaft be ready to push when it comes to it!” Shield took front again and led the group down the shaft. After a while they came into a large open area that had torches lighting up the area. Not paying attention Shield and Root, whom were the two in front, both fell into a pit hole near the center of the room. Lucky for the others they stopped before it was too late. “Crap! Rez! Zinc! Use your magic and get us out hurry!” Before Rez or Zinc had the chance the two Unicorns both where picked up by ropes and heaved into the air. Rez tried to use his magic to burn through the ropes, but with no luck. “The ropes are magic proof Rez! We can’t get out” Shield was beginning to become very afraid. "Sky fly up there and cut them down! Swift get ready to cover for sky if Diamond Dogs come out kill them.” Swift took out his daggers and started to hover ready for anything to come out at him. Sky flew up to cut the ropes, but failed to cut them with his sword. “The ropes are too strong for me to cut! We need to find the mechanism that is holding them destroy it. Swift you see a lever or something?” “No I don’t” “Keep looking!” Suddenly down another shaft in the room they all heard a voice, “Well well well! About time you showed up. And look! Another lackey joined you! Hello puny Pegasus! What did these ponies promise you? Adventure? Fortune? HA! They lie! They are all worthless ponies with nothing to live for!” Walking out of the shaft stood a large Diamond Dog. Behind him was 5 other Diamond Dogs. The large Diamond Dog had a scar across his left eye. “Well Pegasus? What do you think of us? Guess Shield never told you that he has been down here before!” “Leave him out of this Beasttooth! You want revenge with me and me alone! Don’t drag my friends into this! Especially Swift! They have nothing to do with this. Why don’t you let us all out and play fair?” “Ah Shield looks like you fell for one of my traps. As you may have not notice I don’t like playing fair, but for an old friend I will make an exception. Everyone except the Unicorns will fight me and my pack. If you defeat us you win and are free to go.” “And if we lose?” “You all get to become part of my new chair! I am missing a few skulls to finish the armrests.” “Fine deal. But no more trick or traps!” Shield and Root both get out of the hole they were in. “Guys you don’t have to fight this battle. I was stupid to bring you here even for Swift’s mission. I knew the risk of him being here and I am sorry. Let me do this alone you guys don’t need to pay for it.” Sky put a hoof around Shield, “We are a team Shield. We will all fight alongside you. We can take them. Its 6 v 4. Now let us go kill these dogs and get that book for Swift and leave this place!” “Thank you my friends. Swift I know you are new to this. I want you to play it safe. Do not fight Beasttooth alone no matter what. I rather you run away and leave us for dead than you lose your life.” “Shield. You all have taken me in. Believed me in what I said. Taught me the ropes. Right off the bat Root decapitated a dog with his axe and stood next to Shield using their teamwork to fend off two other dogs. Sky was locked in battle with another Dog off to the side. Swift somehow ended up fighting a female Dog that fought with a Falchion. “Give up Pegasus! You will never win.” “Woman! I came here to chew bubble gum and kick ass. AND I`M ALL OUT OF BUBBLE GUM!” Always wanted to say that! Swift let loose and just did what he was trained to do. He got cut up a bit, but the She Dog was worse. He got a lot of hits in on her using one dagger to defend her attacks and another to attack her. “I will not disgrace my pack by losing to you!” “HA! That is where you are wrong” Swift ducked under her swing and pushed himself upward and impaled both daggers into her chest. The female Diamond Dog dropped her Falchion and fell to the ground dead. Swift took the daggers out of her and looked around. He saw that the other Diamond Dogs where down, but so was Sky and root. Shield was battling Beasttooth. “Shield! You gave me this scar on my face. I shall return the favor with my sword in your heart!” “Never! I gave mercy last time and this time there will be no mercy!” “Ha! You already lost!” Shield didn’t see but he was backed up against the wall and had nowhere to go. Beasttooth sung his sword and knocked the shield away to the side. No! Shield is going to die! Swift started to fly straight to Beasttooth. He felt a surge in himself, but ignored it. All he wanted to do was stop the sword that was about to impale his friend. He pulled his daggers in front of himself and felt the surge go through his front hoofs into the daggers. Swift felt a buzz in the air right before he shot blue lightning out of both daggers and into Beasttooth, causing a giant hole to appear in the center of his back. Beasttooth fell to his side dead. Swift fell over passed out. *Somewhere in an evil castle* A Diamond Dog came running up to their leader “Sir we have word that Beasttooth has fallen and allowed the ponies to win.” “Yes I know.
