The Start- Actually The First Chapter

“Goodbye, sister.” Princess Celestia, mare of the sun, cried as she shot a beam at her former sister.

The beam of light engulfed the dark mare, turning her body into light itself, as she forcefully travelled towards the moon.

A light glow was seen on the moon by many young ponies that night, as the shape of an Alicorn’s head appeared on the moon.

“Farewell....” Celestia sighed as she landed on her flank, surrounded by the debris of her castle. Her castle. And her sisters.

“Poor sister.” The Princess sighed, staring at a small rock on the ground, charred by her sister’s magic. “If only somepony could keep you company.”

An eerie silence surrounded the destroyed castle as the mare of the sun sat down, remembering all the good times she had with her beloved sister.

‘If only somepony could keep you company...’ Celestia’s words ran through her brain as she stood up again in sudden triumph. “That’s it!”

She picked up her pace as she raced towards the place where the Elements used to rest. She franticly placed them back in their place as she watched them glow again.

“Here me Elements!” The Princess yelled in her Royal Canterlot Voice. “Bring forth a one of joy and happiness to keep mine sister content in her rage!” The Elements of Harmony started flashing rapidly as a small blue portal opened up.

“Oooo! What’s this?!” Princess Celestia raised her eyes in shock as a pink hoof extended its way through the portal, before revealing its full body.

A mare of pink stepped out. She had three balloons as a cutie mark, and bouncy dark hair.

“Perfect.” Celestia grinned as the confused pony was sent on her way of to the moon.

The shimmering bright light faded as a demonic looking alicorn took its place. She had flowing dark blue hair, and she was wearing steel armour. She was Nightmare Moon.

“Where....am I?” She thought out loud as looked around her surroundings. “The...moon?” She asked as her shocked expression changed to anger.

“SISTER!!” Nightmare Moon screamed as she stomped her hooves on the cold surface of the moon.

She grumbled as she paced around, waiting for this joke to stop. “This is not funny, sister!” Silence. “Well at least she didn’t send a-“

“HI!” Nightmare Moon sent herself flying as she screamed from the shock of the squeaky voice behind her.

When Nightmare looked down, she stared in shock to see a small, pink pony laughing at her.

“Oh! You shoulda seen the look on your face! You were all like ‘AAAAAAAA!!’”

Nightmare Moon growled as her face was decreased to a frown. “Not funny, earth pony.” She moaned, flying back down to the ground.

“But it was, Moonie!” Nightmare Moon opened her eyes in confusion as the pink mare laughed at her.

“....Moonie?”

“Yeah! Your sis told me about you and all the things you did. You don’t need to hide it! I’m Pinkamena Diane Pie, or Pinkie Pie, your M.P, that stands for Moon Partner! Me and you are gonna be here, together, for 1,000 whole years! Cool, huh!?”

Nightmare Moon sighed as her hoof was forcefully shacked by Pinkie. This was going to be a long 1,000 years....
