The Doctor's results just came in...
Chapter 1
Load Full StoryDash winced slightly as she sat down in the doctors office. She had attempted a low flying barrel roll, But proceeded to crash and burn. The doctor had called her back in after her initial assessment, something about results. Dash didn't care, but did inform them her wings hurt a lot. The door suddenly swung open, and she swivelled her head in its direction.
"Good evening 'Doc! What's up?" Dash eagerly shouted wanting to leave ASAP.
"I'm afraid it's not as good as your like dash..." The mare replied, he grey coat hidden by her lab coat. A medical sign on the tail of her jacket.
"What do you mean?"
"Dash..." The mare sat down beside her, " now, we've been fairly good friends for a while now, which is why when I got your results I sent them back."
"What was on my results?"
The mare sighed.
"Rainbow Dash, there is a small trace of cancer in your wings."
"..."
"I'll take that silence as confusion... Have you been exposed to extreme radiation frequently recently?"
"What kind of radiation?"
"Magic radiation."
Dashes jaw hung agape.
"The elements of harmony." She said
"That would most likely be it."
"Can this cancer kill me?"
"We're not too sure. Right now its small enough, that the magic it's using to spread is making you stronger, but if it gets too out of hand, it could kill you."
"Wow... That's steep... W-what can I do?"
"Try and avoid extreme radiation, eat healthier, stay active."
"That it?"
"No," the mare said, she stood up and grabbed a list from the wall. "This was one of my patients lists, he had cancer like you, his had spread too far, he knew he was going to die... So he made this."
Dash took the list from the mare.
"A bucket list?"
"Yes, all the things that stallion wanted to do, before he kicked the bucket... If you'll notice, there all crossed off..."
"Wow... That's a long list, some of these are impossible and insane."
"He beat the cancer. This list gave him the will to fight. I'd advise that you just set one up... Just as a precaution."
"Nah, ain't nothing going to bring me down!" Dash struck a pose.
"That may be the case, but, like I said, I sent your results back to be double checked. No chances."
"Thanks, I have to get going though, can you mail the list to me?"
"Yes, fill out your paper work at the front desk and you may leave."
Dash began to trot out of the mares officer when the mare spoke up.
"I don't think your taking this serious enough... This could be the end.."
Dash blew off her last commen and trotted down the hall way.

Dash walked over to a pay phone, and proceeded to punch I a number.
--
Overseas, griffon territory.
A young stallion walked slowly, his gun raised, he walked silently through the empty Equestrian Army camp. His army combat uniform dirty from its prior mission. Where you could see through his uniform, his brown and white coat as sweaty, matted down, and in need of a good wash.
"Hey! Where the hell is everybody!!" The stallion shouted, he heard a few rustles and moans for the camp.
Then in the pocket of his pants, he felt a vibration and a chime.
'Who'd call me at this hour?' He picked the phone out with his hooves and answered it.
"Yello!--" he was cut off.
"Thunder chaser..." A sniffling voice called through from the other side.
"Rainbow dash?" He questioned, checking his phone to be sure, "why are you calling me darling?"
"The results just came in..."
"What results?"
"Chase, I've got cancer..."
"What when did this happen? How did this happen?" He asked, discarding his combat helmet to let the cool desert air rush through his mane.
"Just come home... I need my stallion here..." Dash broke down, right there. Thunder chaser tried to comfort her, but it didn't work...
"Dash, I'll have my leave papers signed tomorrow, and the. I'll be able to actually comfort you with my arms, and not just with my voice..."
Thunder chaser promised dash something, something that only two of them would ever know. A promise that bound their relationship. A promise of love.
"Dash, no matter what happens, I will not give up on you... I promise..."
