One: Princess Twilight Sparkle

"Princess Twilight Sparkle; a well known name. A name that shall forever be written in history. A history that all of us here will never forget. I can only imagine the hardships we've endured so far. But I hope you all understand that she is in a better place." Princess Celestia spoke, letting a stray tear fall from her eye.

This had to be a mistake. Twilight was right next to Celestia! Why would she think she was dead? Twilight frowned, reaching a hand up to her mentor.

"P-Princess Celestia, I'm right here!" Twilight said, trying to get her attention.

Her hand went through Celestia, revealing no one could see her. She looked around. They were in the Canterlot Gardens, where all of the statues stood over great ponies; Starswirl the Bearded, Light Wing the Smart, Iron Nail the Strong, and so many more. Twilight shook her head, putting her hands over her head.

Her eyes widened as she looked behind her. A violet casket with her Cutie Mark on it sat there, ready to be inserted into the ground. Every pony wore black, and everyone was there. Cadance, Night Light, Twilight Velvet, Shining Armor, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Celestia, and Luna.

Twilight Sparkle cried out, dropping to her knees. "Why?! Why is this happening?! What did I do?"

She wiped her tears as she heard crying, and very faintly, laughing. She looked at her friends and family. Cadance cried into Shining's shoulder, and Shining held her back, rubbing her mane. Night Light and Twilight Velvet hugged each other, sobbing into the others shoulder. Applejack rubbed Rarity's shoulder affectionately, holding her close while the Unicorn wiped a tear from the mare's face. Pinkie Pie's mane was straight and she held Fluttershy into her chest, rubbing her hair, crying a bit herself. Luna and Celestia showed remorse, but no tears, however, the strain on their faces said they were sobbing, bawling inside.

Lastly, the multi-colored Pegasus. Rain clouds formed in the sky, pouring rain. The others left the Pegasus in the rain as she spoke in a cracking voice. "C-Can I be alone?"

The others walked to the castle, dabbing tears away and sobbing being heard. Rainbow knelt down to the grave and laid a violet rose on it, tears streaming down her face as she bit her lip. She bit it so hard her lip bled.

"T-Twilight... I could've saved you... But I didn't. I'm sorry... I wish I could've protected you. You were the only one for me and now... you're gone." She rested her head on her knees in a fetal position, licking her lips. "I-I regret not telling you how beautiful you were everyday. And not hugging you everyday. Not kissing your sweet face everyday... Not showing love for you. I was so stupid! And now... now, you're gone forever."

Rainbow Dash stood and wiped her tears away, looking at the sky with a sad smile. "You deserve a sad and rainy burial. You are worth crying over. I know you can't hear me, but I want you to know I love you, Twilight Sparkle."

She turned on her hoof and walked away, fists balled in anger, frustration, sadness, loss, and grief. Twilight sat wide eyed, tears falling down her face as her hand stretched out to her mare friend. Scratch that, former mare friend.

"R-Rainbow..." Twilight choked out. "Don't go! Don't leave me alone! Please!"

And with her crying scream, she was enveloped in darkness. Silver chains bound her hands and hooves to a non-existent wall, and her wings splayed out helplessly. She bit her lip, looking at the black beneath her wide eyed. Everything was numb.

"Now, now, don't look so down, Princess Twilight Sparkle." A voice giggled from the darkness. "Don't cry over spilled milk."

Twilight's head shot up, looking into the darkness, but seeing no pony. She attempted magic, only to fail and feel ever weaker and more helpless. The pony tutted, and Twilight could feel them smile.

"Now, now, Princess Twilight Sparkle, you're taking the fun out of this!" The voice said, sounding more and more feminine. "This is supposed to be fun!"

"Fun?! I'm in misery!" Twilight called out, tears streaming down her face. "How can this be fun for any pony?!" She spat the words with venom and pure agony.

"Princess Twilight Sparkle, you of all people should know what This is!" The voice said with the same giggle from before. She was taunting Princess Twilight Sparkle!

"What? What do you mean?!" Twilight cried out, busty for her young age as her chest jiggled slightly.

"This! This is my game! Can you piece it together?" She asked, a smile on her face.

Twilight looked down, analyzing the situation. For a few minutes, she looked up with a smile; one that seemed... insane. "This is a nightmare. This is all in my head."

The mare frowned, taking Twilight's chin in her hands, but still hidden by shadows. "The question is, can you wake up?"

In a spark of magic, Twilight was alone. She was numb. She was sad. She was scared. All alone in the non-existence. Until she woke up. But she had to wonder, just who that mare was. Why she was doing this.

On the balcony of the tree house, a mare sat with a smile. She watched Twilight struggle in her sheets, sweating and whimpering. The Unicorn mare wore an eye patch over her right eye, a smile on her face.

She whispered in a dark voice, "I'm no one and I do this to feel again."

In a flash of red magic, the mare was gone and Twilight Sparkle shot up from her bed. She looked at the balcony, the door open. She walked over to it and looked at Luna's moon longingly. She rubbed her head, walking back to her room and snuggling back in, not aware of the one eye watching her from the shadows before vanishing into the night.
