//-------------------------------------------------------// of a supercarier and ponies. -by THEARTIFICAILINTELIGENCE- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// chapter 1. //-------------------------------------------------------// chapter 1.   The sky above equestria is lit with a bright flash as a slipspace portal opens and a huge covenant ship glides through. As soon as this ship exits the portal another flash fills the sky as the portal closes.   The ship, still being a couple light years away, looks tiny to anypony who managed to veiw it in the darkness of night. Very few ponies being awake at midnight meant that nopony realy noticed anything, well nopony but twilight and luna who are star gazzing and focussing on the covenant supercarrier,  unnaware that it is infact a many thousand times bigger than what it apeared to be through their powerful telescopes.   This supercarrier is supposed to have been destroyed over Reach by a sparten by the name of George. For this is 'The Long Night Of Solice', the ship that dealt so much damage and killed so many millions of humans, both innocent and guilty, and caused the overall downfall of reach. 'The Long Night Of Solice would usualy need at least a few thousand operators to be, (for lack of a better word), operated. However, only one man is piloting this ship, and this man has no idea as to why hes on a supposedly destroyed ship thats now heading to orbit a uncharted plannet in a uncharted universe. Luckily he does know how to oporate the super carier and can control the whole ship from the command deck without having to leave it at all.   The 'Long Night Of Solice' powers up its repulsion engines and the ship that is 28.960 kilometers in lenght and 11.447 kilometers in width, towards the peacefull planet of equus.   meanwhile back in equestria... "What do you think it is princess?" Twilight asks luna. "We do not know, twilight, and that alone worries us." Luna says with a frown forming on her face. "Maybe its just a meteor, it is only small..." twilight says as she uses the telescopes full magnification to get a better veiw. "This is no meteor or other form of rock floating around in space twilight. For they cannot change their direction of travel and then increase their speed. This, is something else..." luna says as she looks through her own telescope. Both princesses gasp from shock as they see light behind the supercarrier as its size seems to grow emensly. Soon they dont even need to use their telescopes to see the incoming vessel. Panic and excitement fill both as they see the unique shape of 'The Long Night Of Solice'. After an hour of excited waiting they start to realise just how large the supercarrier is. The amount of energy inside it alone both excited and frightened them. "This, what is this, l, luna?" Twilight says now visibly shaking as 'The Long Night Of Solice' slows to orbit equus. "..." "LUNA!?" Twilight franticly calls out. "Y, yes, yes twilight?" Luna replies. "What do we do? This could be the end of equestria as we know it! Or, or it could be a new species with new, advanced technology that travels the stars! Yesyesyesyesyesyesyesyes!" Twilight almost yells as she works herself up with the thought of what information such a race of beings would have. "Please tell me this is some kind of joke luna..." says a tired voice from behind them, startling both of them. "I was going to ask you the same thing, tia." Luna replies while turning to face her sister. Meanwhile on 'The Long Night  Of Solice' "Ah, good. I will be entering orbit in just a few hours. Enough time for the planet to be accurately mapped by the scanners." The human says as he presses a small combination of 3 buttons. A blue symbol blinks up on the hollow graphic control board I front of him. Recognising it as showing that the sheilds are active and at full power. The symbol fades and is shortly replaced by a red symbol showing that it will automaticaly correct its coarse if it stops orbiting. Standing up from his seat, the human makes his way out of the control room and towards the shipmasters chamber. Being an empty ship, and him being the one in full control of the ship, he sees himself as the ship master. Not being able to remember his name, or anything before fliying this ship he just calls himself shipmaster. For some unknown reason he has allways been able to drive the covenant ships by himself, no matter the size of the vessel he had taken control of multiple ccs asualt cruisers before but 'The Long Night Of Solice' is the largest and by far his favourite.  He would rather have himself die with his ship then let it fall into someone elses hands, luckily he had never seen another ship since he had been caught in the slipspace bomb that destroyed the ship in the first place. When he had next woken up, he was in the pilot seat and in the middle of a slipspace portal. He arrived at the room shoortly after leaving the control room, he allways did love how the bed chambers of the shipmasters were laid out. They allways have the grav'beds, low powered gravity lifts that keep you afloat and comfortable. If he could, he would sleep in one for eternity and only wake for food, drink and toilet brakes. Soon after jumping into the grav' bed he entered the realm of sleep, and luna took instant interest in his dreams. he finds himself in an open feild with a full moon hanging over head. He lies on his back and gases up at it smilling. "It seems like forever since I saw the moon, I hope that it hasnt been destroyed in the war." He says, talking to seemingly no one. "I see you aprove of our moon, though we have never seen or heard of a creature such as yourself.  May we ask what type of creature you are and why you have brought this, beast, with you?" Luna asks with a slight smile, successfully hiding a gleeful grin from finding that not only is it an alien but one that apretiates her moon. He simply smiled and says "I could ask you as to who you are who can penetrate the mind of others at will. I can see than you are equine of nature but you have a horn and wings. What are you? Answer me this and I will answer you." "I agree to these terms. I am princess luna, a triarchy of equestria. My sister and her ex student and I rule the land of equestria. As to what I am, I am 1 of  4 alicorns that are known to the world. The forth is the princess of the crystal empire. I control the movement of the moon while my sister controls the movement of the sun. " Luna says, carefull not to give too much infomation incase he is hostile. "Since you held onto your half of the deal I shall do the same. I am a human, otherwise known as homosapiens. My name is unknown to myself so you may call me ship master. As for this 'beast' as you called her. The covenant supercarier that is currently on its way to orbit your planet is called 'The Long Night Of Solice', she is heavily armed, warship, essentialy. This ship alone is 28.960 kilometers long. The finest vessel I have ever driven. I shall remain peacefull for as long as you do. As for why I brought her with me? Well we actualy arnt suposed to be here, both me and my ship were destroyed when the slipdrive bomb thing went of and blew her in half. But afterwards I found myself in her control room and alone on the ship, with no damage. We soon came out of slipspace and found ourselves in your solar system." He replied. The dream riples as luna starts to fade into the moon. "I look forwarx to learning more about you and your race soon, ship master." Luna says before he wakes up. Walking back to the main control pannel the ship master finds out that the ship is stationary above a continent with what looks like a city on a countain side as  well as a castle ruin not too far away. With the ship in atmisphere he desides to deactivate the sheild and check on the cargo, only to find that theres a couple scarabs, several phantoms, 15 wraiths, 56 banshees and 75 ghosts. Not the full cargo bay he was expecting. Before he can do much else the inner scanners pick up 9 lifeforms inside the main hangar, well one of them anyway. The sheilds in that hangar activate, trapping them there until he can arrive and see what mannaged to seemingly telleport into his ship.
