Every step seemed longer then the one before, as Luna followed Celestia to the kingdom's main lobby. As they approached, Luna noticed a few ponies who stood waiting in the large room. They were not all strangers, no, they were family. A distant brother, his wife, son, and one stranger who stood aside their son, or, Luna's nephew, to be exact.
"Ah, there they are now!" The bold stallion bellowed to his family. He was dark, handsome, and had a cutie mark consisting both of stars, and planets. His name was Solar Wind, or just Solar, as his loved ones called him. He was the second eldest, and only male child in their immediate family. Solar took a few steps forward, beaming happily at his sisters. His son, Blue Blood, and his mother, Vanity, stood nearby his side, as did the stranger who resembled Blue Blood's charming, "boy next door" good looks.
"Hello, Solar, so glad you could make it! Welcome back to Canterlot, Vanity, Blue Blood." Celestia smiled at her family, and raised an eyebrow at the strange young stallion.
"Whom do we have here? " Celestia nodded at the stranger, and gave a welcoming glance. Her gaze quickly turned to Luna, whose eyes were averted to the ground. Celestia cleared her throat, bringing Luna's attention back to the current situation. She knew Luna was anxious, and scared, but she had to move on, as did every pony else. All eyes had been on Luna until Celestia had brought attention the the mysterious stallion. He moved forward, nervousness is his voice.
"My name is Morning Star, and I am honored to meet you both, your highness's.." Morning Star bowed, and smiled softly at them both. His eyes hadn't left Luna, though.
"Welcome, Morning Star, we are very glad you could come with our family to visit for Luna's return. Why don't we continue this after we introduce our newest star? Come, Luna, your kingdom awaits."
Celestia gave her warmest smile to her younger sister, as the family moved quietly towards the crowd outside. Luna
took a breath, and slowly, moved towards her destiny.

When your a Princess, life is never easy. Every little filly grows up wanting to be the Princess. We are taught that royalty have the easiest and most luxurious lives. While a Princess has more luxury then one pony will ever know what to do with, the problems she faces become more difficult as her days move on.
Princess Luna had only been back for a day and her older sister had wanted to start the welcoming ceremony. She wasn't ready for the excitement, for her past had destroyed so much for not only her, but countless others. Every pony knew this, for it was no secret. Would all of Equestria be ready to forgive and forget? Luna's hooves shook with anxiety as she watched the crowd become larger. Countless family would be attending too. Surely they could forgive their own blood! Every pony had made mistakes, right?
A knock on the door brought Luna's attention back to reality. Celestia had appeared, and smiled at her younger sister. She knew of her fears, but would never completely understand. No pony would, but perhaps this was what made Luna so strong.
"Its now or never, sister. Our family, and our subjects are looking quite forward to your return to our kingdom. I know your scared, and that's okay. No pony will ever fully understand your journey in life, as you will not understand they're 's .. "
Celestia offered her sister a smile of reassurance, as Luna stood up to follow her. Before she turned, she glanced at her appearance in the mirror on the bedroom wall. Only the face in the mirror wasn't hers, it belonged to a Nightmare.
