A gorgeous day was holding a wonderful celebration in the Old Kingdom of the Two Sisters. For today is like no other day, today is a Celebration about the defeat of Discord using the Elements of Harmony. The two Princesses of Canterlot walk out towards the balcony to be Congratulated by the crowd, as the Princesses made their way through the hall where they were bowed before the Royal Guards. Princess Celestia was ahead of her sister Luna and was the first to step out on the balcony with a wave of cheers yelling out Celestia's name by the crowd themselves, Princess Luna stepped out as the crowd of cheers died down not a second wave to give to her. Celestia gave out a speech using the Royal voice so that she was heard everywhere for her loyal subjects, and using the Royal "we" which most ponies understood. "Thank you all for congratulating us, we could not be happier to see a bright and peaceful future ahead of us today, for today is a Celebration about the defeat of a great threat that created chaos wherever he walked, flew and by just a snap of his fingers, the Defeat of Discord. We couldn't have defeated him without the Elements of Harmony" Princess Celestia finishes her speech by sending out a spell that shot like fireworks in the sky and waving goodbye to the crowd as she walked back inside the castle, Luna followed behind her elder sister with her mind in a knot of wonder why is Tia taking all the credit for Discords Defeat? And why did everypony not cheer for me? I helped as well.
As the evening rolled by and the celebration was still going on a huge party was being thrown downstairs in the main hall, and Luna was sitting in her room alone in front of her mirror, Luna couldn't help but think about her Sister's Speech and the crowd of ponies who cheered for Celestia and ONLY her. I helped Defeat Discord, I carried the elements of Loyalty, Honesty, and Laughter my Sister shouldn't have taken all the credit for such a heroic act. Luna stroked her starry night mane, raised the moon, and trotted off to bed soon fast asleep of the magic usage put into raising the moon. It was a bit odd that Princess Luna had a dream that night she knew she could come in other ponies dream but she would never have a dream of her own, this dream had an unsettling feeling to it there was nopony around,not even Celestia, the scenery became clear that she was in the Canterlot Gardens. There were no stars in the sky just the moon and herself.
After a while trotting in the Gardens Luna noticed a dark, shadowy figure in front of her. "Who are you?" the Princess demands with trembling fear and anger in her tone, the mysterious figure replies in Silence then takes a step forward towards Luna while the Princess takes a step back but maintains courage to stand her ground. "I am warning you stay back! O-Or I-I-I will call my guards!" Luna says while preparing herself to attack the thing but somehow feels a bit of fear to not attack. The figure gets even closer without hesitation, Luna realizes that she can no longer take a step back nor move herself to do so as if the ground had crumbled or disappeared into thin air and as if somepony used a spell to keep her in place. The shadowy figure is within touchable space opposite of Luna, "Don't you dare touch me!"the princess snarls. Luna can feel a warm touch on her shoulder she stared at the figure for a moment then everything goes pitch black as Luna falls unconscious to the ground. Having the figure stare at her as she fell the figure acted quickly and picked her up to bring her to the unknown figure's destination.
"Princess?.. Princess Luna, rise and go against your sister" a voice unrecognizable said. "Wh-Who are you? Show yourself!" the Princess demands while waking up on the floor from being unconscious still she doesn't know how, she had anxiety within her hooves planning to rush up her legs and make her quiver in fear, but the Princess kept it back like a trainer and an untamed animal.
A dark furred, female Alicorn with ungodly glowing white eyes steps out in front of Luna, "Luna... For years you have been in your elder sisters shadow not given the pride and enjoyment of the light she's in, you must take it for yourself there is no other way to keep yourself waiting!" the Alicorn said with a stern face. Luna did agree but kept it to herself,her mind is going to need to be persuaded a bit more the Alicorn thought. "You need attention from your "Loyal" subjects. You need to be recognized as somepony of great power, much greater than your sister" the Alicorn developed a small visible smirk while keeping her eyes in a kind position."Whatever do you mean by that?"Luna replied in a confused tone.
"You need to take action"
"Take action?" says Luna confused of what's going on or what's going to happen. "Yes taking action is the best way of being in the spotlight, you need to get rid of your sister once and for all, forever" now the Alicorn's smirk became a toothy smile her teeth were as bright white like her eyes *"Just consider me as your BEST friend one alicorn to another, am I correct?"*
"I suppose you are" Luna was agreeing that she should get more attention by her subjects, for years she didn't get enough glory, The dark alicorn raised her hoof in a position to lift Luna from the ground. "Come with me I'll show you how to take matters into your own hooves and be recognized by your subjects" Luna without hesitation lifted her own hoof and placed it in the Alicorn's hoof, after lifting up Luna from the ground the Alicorn giggled then laughed hysterically as her body became a shadowy mist entering Luna's own body, Luna's eyes went wide as the mist entered her body, as soon as the mist was inside Luna she woke up. "*huff huff* was that a Dream or a Nightmare?" the Princess looked at her hooves then touched her cheeks, she quickly went to the bathroom to brush her teeth, and her mane, and lowered the moon for the start of the new sunrise.
6:37 in the morning. Everything was in order as usual like every other day, receiving letters from ponies all over Equestia, Celestia keeps a watch over the Kingdom at her tower. The afternoon came around 7:57 it is almost time to raise the moon Luna thought as she took a stroll around the castle after a while she entered the throne room where her and Celestia's thrones sit upon a platform on either end of the podium. The throne room was big, big enough to fit maybe three hydras, the walls hung giant banners of the two sisters, above Luna's throne was a banner of the land at night above Celestias, in the day, between the two banners was a glass window of what looked like a dead tree.
As Luna walked up the stairs to the platform she heard a noise coming from the main doorway, Luna didn't think but hid behind her throne. Walking into the Throne room was Princess Celestia she had a cautious and stern look on her face, Celestia continued walking looking at the two thrones in front of her, Luna felt a jolt rush up her spine and stood up from behind the thrones "Not another step" Luna says with a bit of anger in her tone of voice,Celestia stops walking in her path "Did you really expect me to sit idly by while they all vast in your precious light?" Luna did not give Celestia time to answer and continued to speak while walking towards the podium "There can only be one Princess in Equestria, and that Princess will be ME!!" Luna raised and slammed her hooves on the podium causing it to break and shatter the glass window behind, Luna raised the moon and blocked out the sun causing light to be hidden by darkness. Luna was then lifted into the air by the Shadows around her, wrapping her in the void of darkness. Luna was transforming in the ball gaining sharp teeth, a dark almost midnight color fur, a longer more active Starry mane, and a pupil slit in her eye, somehow she was also able to obtain armor for herself. While landing back on the platform Luna was laughing like a hysterical maniac afterwards changing her face to a more serious look.
