"hey starburst! Didn't know you were home!" he said. "hey dad!" she had smiled and put nighty jr. down. Twilight came in, smiling at her son and daughter. "hi star!" twilight had nuzzled her daughter. "hi mom," she said, nervous to tell her the news. "mom, dad, I have some news.." she creaked out, "yes honey?" twilight had replied. "my flying finials are this week, I'm in the top three in school." starburst had smiled proud of her self. "thats amazing honey! good job!" twilight hugged her daughter. Nighty jr. hopped on her back, hugging her neck. Flash smiled, patting his daughter on the back. At dinner, star had talked on and on about her teachers and how much they had helped her. Nighty loved hearing his sister talk about anything, listening carefully to every word. Twilight smiled, going in and out of listening. She felt horrible doing this but she had so much on her plate and so much to think about. Flash had left a while ago, working the night shift that night. "hey starburst guess what?" nighty had smiled and bursted out. "what nighty?'" she smiled knowing he probably took something of hers. He held up her old doll, that she kept under her bed. "nighty give that back!" she thought he took something meaningless , but her doll was very important to her. "No! you'll have to take it back!" nighty ran down the hall, into his room. "Nighty this isn't funny! Give it back!" she banged on the door. Twilight had gone deep into thought, then noticed what was happening. Star was flying just above the ground, banging on nighties door. "Nighty! give your sister her doll back, now!" twilight stood at the end of the hall, unhappy of how childish her children where being. Starburst had landed back on the ground, noticing her mother. "sorry mom..." she said, knowing she broke the no flying in the house rule.  Nighty came out of his room, with the doll in hoof. It had a rip in it, starburst took it out of his hoof, glaring at her little brother. "You two are acting like little foals. Night light, write a letter to your sister apologizing, star, write me a letter apologizing for flying in the house." twilight hated having to punish her children but she was forced to some times. "But mom! he started it!" starburst, being thirteen, still used this a lot. "star, if you want to be a royal guard you have to be willing to follow orders. I'm sorry you two but this behavior will not be tolerated in this house." twilight went to comfort her daughter but star had pushed her away, running into her room. Twilight looked at her son, "you little colt, should get started on that letter. I will check on you in ten minutes. That goes for you to young lady!" twilight went back in the kitchen, sighing. She absolutely hated having to be mean like this. //-------------------------------------------------------// Finials soon //-------------------------------------------------------// Finials soon The last week at flight school was here. Starburst headed to class with prism bolt like she did always, along with whirlwind. They sat in their desks after their teacher fleet foot walked in. "Good morning students. As you all know, finials are coming soon. The first three to go will be the top in the school, prism bolt, starburst, and whirlwind." the class clapped for them. Prism was basking in the aberration, whirlwind was to but not as much. Starburst had smiled and sat back, hoping this would make her mother proud. She always strived to do this, wanting to be just as good as her. Starburst looked at prism who was just loving the action, he just looked at her and winked. She rolled his eyes, knowing he wouldn't stop talking about this until he got into the wonderbolts. After class, she got her things and headed to the gym to practice flying with her coach. Her coach was waiting for her and smiled when she walked in. "There you are, starburst! Congrats on being in the top three in school!" starburst smiled at her. 'thank you Coach murcry" she got her gear on and began her training. After that she gave her coach a small hug which she had never done. "thank you coach, really I thank you whole heartedly" he smiled and patted her back. "kid, you should be thanking yourself as much as me, you put so much work into your schooling and being great at flying. I just helped along the way." she smiled and went home. When she got there, her brother ran to her, excited to hear about his BSBFFF's day. She smiled and ruffled his mane, "hey there kiddo, what you do today?" she asked. "at magic school I leaned how to do this," he concentrated hard, and made a small plant grow a bit. "Thats very cool!" she lifted him on her wing and walked around the house, he pretended he was flying. "wee!" he screamed and giggled alerting their father.
