                                                            Prologue: A Letter of Grief

A long time ago, a purple unicorn named Twilight Sparkle was learning about friendship with help from a white alicorn, Princess Celestia. Later, she found her own friends herself. Five ponies named Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash. They all found the Elements of Harmony, and used them against Nightmare Moon, which revealed to be Princess Celestia's younger sister, Princess Luna.

Later, they became discorded by a villian named Discord. Soon, they became un-discorded, and found the Elements of Harmony again. They used those against him, and he froze back into stone. Until now, that saved Ponyville from a whole lot of trouble.

Now, all of this is to change. One day, there was a NEW pony that joined the Mane 6. What? you may be thinking. That's right. A new pony named Mint Paste, who fawned over the Mane 6, has finally joined them, thus becoming the Mane 7. Mint Paste was a friendly pegasus mare with a pink bow, pink glasses, and a blue suit. Her mane is slightly medium, with green and blue colors in them. Her tail is the same, medium with green and blue. One day, she finally got her cutie mark, which is a drop of green and blue toothpaste.

Later, she gets a letter from Princess Celestia, that is red. Knowing that this is an urgent thing to read, she hurries over to the rest of the Mane 7. What does the letter say, and what does this have to do with Mint Paste's new element? Read on to find out, then.

Mint Paste was laying her bed at her house, her cat Fluffiara sleeping beside her. Suddenly, her cuckoo clock went off. "CUCKOO! CUCKOO!" it went. This startled her sleeping cat, and made her run downstairs. Finally, Mint Paste woke up... ...not before hitting the floor with a thud. "Uuuggghhhh," she spoke in her ushal high-pitched voice. "Time to get breakfast and meet with my friends," she added. "I'm so dizzy." She then walked to put on her glasses and bow, then walked downstairs to feed her cat Fluffiara and herself. Suddenly, she heard a "MAIL!" voice from outside.

She walked to the door and opened it with her hoof. She saw a red letter caught in the door handle. With her hoof, she picked it up, and opened it. "Oh no! This is an URGENT letter!" she yelled. As she was reading, she was eating her ushal blueberry soup. "From, Princess Celestia," she finally read. "I have to find my element. I MUST tell my friends!" she shouted. She ran upstairs to brush her teeth with her hoof, then hurried back downstairs to feed Fluffiara. Then, she put then letter back in the envelope. With it safely in her hand, she closed the door, then flew down to ground level to meet her friends.
