Day one
"Hey Princess did you see that!" Twilight exclaimed.
"See what?" Princess Celestia asked raising her eyebrow.
"That shadow! Don't tell me you didn't see a walking shadow,"
"No, no are you, feeling alright Princess Twilight?" Princess Celestia asked with concern in her voice.
"Yes I am.." She said trailing off. She couldn't have believed that the Princess didn't see what she saw. Curiosity then got the best of her. She wanted to find out why she kept seeing shadows. Lost in her thoughts about the mysterious shadow pony.
"Princess Twilight Sparkle?" Princess Celestia asked waiting for a response. She then poked her head. Nope, no answer she then raising her voice a little. "Princess Twilight Sparkle!?"
"What huh! Oh, yes what is it....." She said jumping back.
"I think you've hard a long day, you simply should get some rest," Celestia said.
"Rest! Nonsense it's not even nighttime! Come on Princess Celestia..." Princess Twilight protested.
"This isn't a option it's a order,-" Celestia said firmly "- Besides I think, you've worked to hard this week," She said.
"Okay fine, since you say." Princess Twilight Sparkle said while, leaving the room.
Flash Century blushed as he saw the Princess walk by him. "Good evening Princess Twilight Sparkle." Flash century greeted as he bowed down. Twilight sparkle smiled at him.
"How are you?" She asked smiling.
"Great your highness what about you,"
"Great well, if you would excuse me I have to get some rest," She said.
"Already? Not even night time,"
"Yeah I know but it, was a order," She said.
"Well I better get going to." Flash said nervously as he raced down the hallway.
"What a weird but cute stallion," Princess Twilight said to herself. She then giggled lightly as she made her way to her guest room. The Princess was a little disappointed that she had been sent to bed early. It's not like she was a young filly. She was, simply a grown mare with needs of studying. Even though she was roughly disappointed she did as said. Once she had finally gotten into her guest room. The first thing she did was take off her tiara and flopped right into bed.
"Hey Twiligh!-" Spike said then froze as he saw the mare go right into bed. "Twilight?" He asked walking closer to her.
"Not now Spike I need to rest, Princess Celestia said so," She said.
"Oh alright then...." The dragon said trailing off. He then returned back to his spot. He picked up his comic book going back right into the spot he was reading.
"She said.... I was cute," Flash century said to his self. He closed his eyes then and there and smiled. "She said I was cute!!!" He yelled jumping up and down joyfully. He didn't care if he acted like a little filly at that moment. He simply only cared about what the Princess thought and said of him. He then felt a touch on his shoulders. He jumped back at first, then turned around to see who it was."You didn't happen to see any of that right..?" He asked blushing.
"I saw every thing." Princess Luna said smirking. "You like Princess Twilight Sparkle don't you?" She asked raising a eyebrow at him.
"No...." He said nervously looking around the room.
"You're lying," She said.
"And, how would you know that?" He asked dumbly.
"Because you dream about her," She said.
"Wh-what how would you know?" He asked biting his lips.
"I'm the Princess of the night. I got into peoples dreams. How do you not know this by now?"
"Never heard about it."
"Well, now you have. And you, should really let Princess Twilight Sparkle know how you feel about her. It won't be to long before she finds some other stallion."
"What! Impossible..."
"Nope not if anything i've seen some other royal guards talk about having her," She said.
"What who!?" He asked.
"I must not say, my only advice to you is that you tell her exactly how you feel," Princess Luna said. "For all we know she could like you back." She stated as she walked away from him.
"Ugh Spike I can't sleep!" Twilight said loudly. She then, threw her pillow across the room.
"Why don't you just cast a sleeping spell then?" Spike said rolling his eyes as he put, his comic down.
"Because magic doesn't work like that! And even if it did that would probably be dangerous," She grunted.
"Oh," He said.
"Well since I can't sleep I might as well study. After all i've been meaning to study on some shadow monster. For, quite a while.." She said trailing off as she got out of bed. Spike then panicked.
"What about Princess Celestia's orders? Won't you be in trouble?" He asked.
"Don't worry about it, I'll get some rest later." She said as she walked over to her desk.
"Alright it's go time!" Flash Century said to his self as, he put his mask on and cape. "The Pony of Shadows is coming Princess," He said to his self. He had then walked over to her guest room. This is a very bad idea... Flash thought to his self. EIther way he ignored that voice in his head. He silently took a peak at the door. He saw the Princess and dragon reading. That was his signal he thought. He then tippy toed inside very quietly not making any noise. As, he got closer to the light switch he turned it off.
"What the heck!" Princess Twilight yelled as the room became dark. "Spike now is no time for fooling around!"
"I-i-it w-w-wasn't m-m-me...." He said shaking.
"Oh sure, some light then will turn its self off then." She said rolling her eyes. Before they new it the light switch was turned back on. "What the hay..." She mumbled. "Spike you don't think it's the pony of shadows?" She asked blankly.
"I-i-i-i d-don't kn-know c-call it what you want..." He said still shaking.
Day two
"Good morning Princess Luna." Twilight sparkle greeted.
"Morning," She said.
"Um Princess Luna may I ask you, something?" The purple mare asked.
"Yes what is it?" She said raising a eyebrow.
"Did your room happen to act funny?"
"What do you mean Princess Twilight Sparkle?"
"Like with the lights turning off and on.... I know it sounds crazy but thats what happened to me!"
"Mnmm probably it was some pony who turned them on and off," Princess Luna stated.
"My room acted funny to!" Flash Century said as he walked over to the Princesses. Princess Luna rolled her eyes at Flash Century. She knew exactly what he was up to. She then gave him a look. Flash Century nodded his head at her.
"Did you happen to see shadows as well?" She asked.
"Yes I did Princess Twilight Sparkle," He said.
"Do you believe in the Pony of Shadows tale?" Princess Twilight asked. Princess Luna then left those two alone.
He's going to have to tell her some day, Princess Luna thought smirking as she exited the room.
"Yes... I think I even saw him," He said.
"I think i'm going a little crazy... Princess Celestia would even tell me it's all in my head," She mumbled.
"Well enough about the Pony of Shadows. Princess Twilight Sparkle may, I ask you a question?" The royal guard said smirking.
"Um okay... Sure what is it?"
"I-i was wondering if you would wanna spend this day with me? You don't have to if you don't want to...." He said trailing off while blushing. He then closed his eyes while waiting for a response.
"Yes i'm free today so why not? After all I need to get my mind off the Pony of Shadows little tale." She said as she smiled at the royal guard.
"Great! How does me treating you out to a milkshake sound?" He asked while winking.
"Sounds great to me let's go."
"Milkshakes are on me." Flash said as he opened the door for Princess Twilight. She walked inside the restaurant and spoke up.
"No, no I insist on paying for them," Princess Twilight Sparkle protested. But to her surprise failed at it.
"No Princess Twilight after all it was my offer. Please let me pay," He said with puppy eyes. Princess Twilight couldn't help but giggle at his puppy eyes.
"Alright fine you, can pay since you wish so much on paying." She said giggling some more. Flash gave her a smile.
"What flavor would you like Princess?" He asked while blushing.
"Strawberry please," She said.
"Alright i'll be back with the milk shakes in a minute. In the mean time find us a spot to sit at." He said as he went off to order the milkshakes. Princess Twilight did as said she, went off to find a table. To her surprise she found the perfect spot. She trotted over to the table and sat down once she arrived. Once she finally sat down the Pony of Shadow thoughts came back to her.
Come on stop thinking about that... There is no such thing of the pony of shadows! It's all in my head. She thought. She really, wanted to agree with that. But, in some part of her mind she just couldn't. She then saw Flash Century heading over with the milkshakes. Okay enough thinking... Right now i'm just going to focus on me and Flash. She thought blushing.
"Here's your milkshake Princess." Flash said as he handed her the strawberry milkshake. Twilight accepted it and smiled.
"Thank you flash." She said sipping her milkshake. Flash then, sat down right next to her. He then sipped his milkshake.
"So...." He said trailing off.
"Is something wrong Flash?" Twilight asked with concern..
"Wrong what.. Nothing is wrong..." He said nervously then, that voice crawled right back into his head. Tell her how you feel, it''s the only way He thought he then looked down smiling.
"You're acting strange." She said raising her eyebrow.
"No i'm not!" He protested while smiling.
"What ever you say Flash." She said rolling her eyes. She then, giggled at him.
"Princess Twilight?" Flash asked.
"Yes flash?" She said batting her eyelashes.
"Can I take you once more," He said.
"What do you mean?" She asked.
"I mean... After this can I take you to one more place.." He said blushing.
"Sure Flash I would like that." She said smiling, Flash smiled back her.
Oh, what have I got myself into.... He gulped.
At Night
"Keep your eyes closed." Flash said as he grabbed her hoof.
"What why?"
"Because I want it to be a surprise..." He said smiling. Without a other word Princess Twilight closed her eyes.
"Okay... I can't wait to see this surprise." She said smirking.
"Oh, you're going to love it!" Flash exclaimed as he led the way. A few minutes passed by till he finally made it. "Okay now you can open your eyes." He said letting go of her hoof. Princess Twilight then opened her eyes. Flash had token her to the top of the castle. The first thing to come out of her mouth was a gasp.
"Oh my gosh Flash this is so beautiful... I don't know what to say.." She said staring at him at awe. "Oh this is just amazing Flash!" She exclaimed as she gave him a hug. Flash was first surprised at the gesture but then hugged her back. Princess Twilight Sparkle then pulled away. She took in the beautiful view he had taken her up to show.
"It really is, I thought it would be great idea to show you.." He said trailing off.
"Oh, and why is that?" She asked.
Now's your chance Flash... "Because I want to make a confession, and I thought it would be great to confess here," He said.
"Confess what?"
"Princess.... I-I" He stammered as he grabbed her hoofs. "I-I-I really like you...." He said blushing.
"R-r-really?" She asked while, messing with her hair.
"Y-yes... That's why i've been trying to get your attention..." He said "And, that's kinda why I pretended to be the Pony of Shadows. And I was wondering if you would go out with me..."
"What!?" Princess Twilight Sparkle yelled. "You're the Pony of Shadows? You creep! Hell, no you can forget about me! Twilight yelled pushing him back. She then ran away from Flash leaving him all alone.
"Dang it Princess Luna!!!!!!" Flash yelled while sobbing.
