Our story begins on a crystal clear night in Equestria, where Twilight and her friends were invited to Canterlot to watch a meteor shower with Princess Celestia and her sister Luna. As the meteor shower was about to begin, a bright flash illuminates the sky in a bright array of colors. This has never been seen before during a meteor shower, so everyone was awestruck as the meteors began to fall. "Wow, that's really beautiful, nice job Luna" Twilight said. Luna bowed her head but had a look of confusion on her face as she did schedule a meteor shower for equestria, however she did not expect for the colors that happened before the shower began. So she pushed it to the back of her mind and decided to let it go. "Thank you Twilight but you should also thank Discord, without the magic I borrowed from him I wouldn't have been able to put on such a show for everyone." Luna said glancing over to Discord who was sitting with Fluttershy eating a tub of popcorn enjoying the company of his friends. "No problem Luna, it's the least I can do after that little incident with Tirek . "Discord said. "I'm just glad I could be of help to my friends." Twilight gave a awkward smile to Discord as she went back to watching the meteor shower with everyone else. As the night was coming to an end, everyone decided to turn in for the night. As everyone was packing up to go back to ponyville, Celestia pulled Twilight aside to talk to her. "Twilight I noticed last night during the meteor shower that my sister Luna had a worried look on her face and when I confronted her about it she told me that the array of colors at the beginning was not her doing." " I tried to tell her that it was probably the effect of the chaos magic she borrowed from Discord, so I told her that you would keep an eye out for anything out of the ordinary to ease her mind." " So please just humor her so she doesn't freak out so much." Twilight nodded as she hugged Celestia before she had to get on the train to Ponyville. On the train ride home Twilight explained the situation to everyone about Luna's concern. "Do you really think Discord would do something like this?" Applejack stated. "Well if he tries anything stupid we'll just stop it like we always do!" Rainbow boasted. "I'm sure that this is just a misunderstanding." Fluttershy chimed in. At that point Discord poofed in middle of the train car crying. Discord sobbed, "Oh Fluttershy, you are too good to me, of course it's a misunderstanding. I would never do anything to upset my friends and I only let Luna borrow my magic, what she did with it was her problem, although she might not be good at controlling my chaos magic." Discord then donned on a pair of angel wings and halo. "I've truly changed this time for good." Before any of them could say anything to him the train had reached its destination with a screeching of the trains brakes. They all got off the train only to be greeted by Scootaloo, Sweetie Bell, Apple Bloom and the mayor. "Welcome home!" The all shouted. Apple Bloom ran into her sisters hooves with an embracing hug and started shouting. "Apple Jack, Apple Jack, you'll never guessed what happened last night?" "Hold on sugar cube, slow down and tell me what's got ya all worked up." Apple Jack said. "A meteor fell from the sky last night near the Everfree forest!" The group was speechless as they explained how big the boom was when the meteor hit the ground. "That's why I'm here" the mayor explained. I quarantined off the area where the meteor fell because I don't want anypony getting hurt until you say its safe Princess Twilight. It would make a great tourist attraction for Ponyville if its safe enough." Twilight was interested in the fallen meteor for science reasons of course. So Twilight and her friends headed for the Everfree forest to inspect the meteor crash site. As they neared the forest they saw the crater the meteor made, although not big still pretty impressive for such a small rock. As they looked in the hole they all got a good look at the meteor. It was the size of a regular sized pony and was nothing special about it in the slightest. As Twilight and the others got closer to the meteor, Twilight noticed a faint magic aura around it and yelled. "Everyone stop!" Everyone froze in their tracks except for Pinkie Pie who just crept closer and closer. "Pinkie, what are you doing?" Twilight asked with a whisper. "Don't you hear that, the rock is sad." Pinkie said with a frown. Everyone just looked around in confusion as Pinkie put her ear near the meteorite confirming her suspicion of what she was hearing. "Yeah, this rock is really sad, I can hear it crying." Pinkie said. "What ever do you mean darling, I don't hear anything." Rarity said with a smile. "Yeah Pinkie, what are going to do, cheer up that rock with a party?" Rainbow said with an amused look on her face. Pinkie looked hurt at her friends not believing her. Fluttershy moved closer to comfort her friend, when she too heard a faint crying sound. Her eyes widened as she got closer to the meteorite to make sure she was hearing what she thought she heard. "Oh my, Pinkie is right, I hear crying." Fluttershy said in a calm meek voice. They all got closer to the meteorite to try to hear the crying. As they got closer, the meteorite started to crumble away bit by bit and the crying got louder and louder. The meteorite finally came apart revealing a small bundle of cloth. As they all hovered above the bundle of cloth, they opened it revealing a little baby colt crying. They all looked at him with wide eyes as they all said in unison. "AWWWWWWW how cute!" Author's Note This is my first story so don't be too harsh. //-------------------------------------------------------// Growing up.... //-------------------------------------------------------// Growing up.... Twilight couldn't believe what she was seeing. How could this baby colt come from a meteorite. She seemed lost in thought until the voices of her friends fawning over the colt. Applejack was the first to pick him up to try to calm him down. "Calm down, it's alright, there's no reason to be afraid now." Applejack said while rocking him back and forth. The colt only cried louder and louder as Applejack's swaying motion only made him more fussy. The others got closer to try to calm the baby down in their own way. Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash tried making a bunch of silly faces to try to make the colt laugh, while Fluttershy and Rarity tried to calm him down with their soothing voices by singing a lullaby. When none of that worked, they all looked to Twilight like she would have an answer. Twilight walked closer to the little colt and started levitating him with her magic and swaying him gently back and forth. It worked to everyone's amazement, as he slowly stopped crying and fell asleep. "Wow, Twilight where'd you learn to do that?" Applejack stated. "I read it in a book that was about foal sitting and it told me magic can help soothe foals if done right." Twilight explained as she lowered the little foal closer so she could have a look. When she got a closer look at the foal she realized that he was a unicorn. She decided that the best course of action was to make sure that he was ok. She motioned everyone to get closer so she could talk low without waking him. "I'm not sure how this baby unicorn colt got here as it is impossible for him to come from the meteorite, but as princess I need to make sure that he is well taken cared of." "So let's take him to the hospital to make sure he is healthy." Twilight said as they all nodded in agreement. As they were walking towards the hospital, they all wondered who would take care of him. While all of them really thought about it, they all realized that Twilight would be the best bet as she was the only one to calm him down. They all arrived at the hospital weary and tired as it was really late at night and there was barely anypony around except a couple nurses and a receptionist. Rarity went over to receptionist to explain the situation, while the girls waited in the lounge area. Soon they were all greeted by the doctor on call that night. "Hello there, I hear that your foal needs a check up." The doctor said with a gentle smile on his face. "Yes, and for the record he's not my foal, we just found and I would like to make sure that he's at least healthy. Then I can figure out how to deal with this situation." Twilight said as she handed the foal over to the nurse. They all watched as the doctor and nurse went past a couple of double doors with the foal. They waited for what seemed liked hours, which was torture for Rainbow Dash as she hated to wait, especially in a boring place like a hospital. Most of them had fallen asleep in the lounge area. Twilight was still awake trying to rack her brain trying to come up with an logical explanation for why this baby colt come from the sky, but couldn't think of a thing. Then she remembered that she saw at the crash site. That faint magic aura of Discord was all over that meteorite. She then used the spell Princess Celestia gave her to summon him. Suddenly Discord appeared before her in a bed with huge pillows all around him. Twilight asked him to wake up, but all he did was squirm in his bed like he didn't care someone was trying to wake him up. Twilight was beginning to get annoyed as she conjured a bucket of cold ice water and poured it on him causing him to shoot out of bed with a yelp. He ran around in a panic not knowing what just happened until he spotted Twilight with an amused look on her face. "Now what do I owe the pleasure of being summoned by the great princess." Discord scowled as he crossed his arms shivering. "I want to know if you had anything to do with this colt falling out of the sky?" Twilight asked. Discord just slowly walked over to Twilight and slowly whispered in her ear. " This couldn't wait until morning. You had to wake me up like this. I thought we were friends Twilight." "We are, but I can't ignore that the meteor we found him in had traces of your chaos magic on it." Twilight explained. Discord was shocked at this news as he sat down to think about what he was being told. He conjured a cup of coffee and started to sip it while thinking about what Twilight said. Honestly he had no clue what she was talking about even though she said that his chaos magic had something to do with it. He shrugged at Twilight as he began to speak. "I'm sorry Twilight, but I don't have the foggiest idea what your talking about. I am just stumped as you are. Are you saying that really found a little colt that fell from the sky?" "Yes, I just can't explain how this is possible unless you had something to do with it, since your magic is unpredictable sometimes." Twilight said. Twilight and Discord just sat there in silence contemplating what this could all mean until the doctor came out to greet them. He came out with a tired look on his face as he began to speak. "Hello again Princess Twilight. I have some news about the little colt you brought to me tonight. Thank Celestia you brought him here just in time as he was extremely dehydrated and malnourished. You saved his life bringing him here. We have given him lots of fluids and formula, so he should be fine to go home in a couple hours." The doctor said. A couple of hours later, Twilight began waking up her friends as they all gave big yawns and stretches. They all were surprised to see Discord there but were too tired to care. The nurse came out with the little colt who was sleeping soundly. She handed him over to Twilight and they all were glad he was going to be ok. "I'll take him back to my castle for now and write Princess Celestia a letter later to see if she has any advice, but for now I think I will need to go to sleep and deal with this when I am well rested." Twilight said while yawning. Everyone nodded in agreement as they all went there separate ways early in the morning. Twilight arrived at her castle really tired from the night with no sleep. She makes her way to her room with the little colt in tow. When she walks in she notices a small crib with a card on it near her bed. She reads the card to see it was from Discord. She didn't care why he sent it but was glad it was there nonetheless. All she cared about was body slamming her bed and catching some sleep. So she slowly lowered little colt into the crib and whispered "My name is Princess Twilight Sparkle and I will be taking care of you for now, so if you need anything just don't hesitate to ask or cry in that matter. Since you are a unicorn, maybe I can teach you how to use your magic." She then walked over to her bed and slowly got under her covers letting sleep wash over. A couple of hours later she felt something poking her. "Twilight?" she heard as she grumbled in her sleep. "Twilight?" she heard again. "Yeah" she asked without waking. "Can I sleep in your bed with you, since there's more room?" The voice asked. "Sure Spike, just let me sleep." Twilight grumbled. Spike confused as to why Twilight was talking to him, he just ignored her and turn over in his bed. //-------------------------------------------------------// New pony in town //-------------------------------------------------------// New pony in town It was early in the morning around 9 am to be exact as the sun started to shine through a window in Twilight's room. This caused her to stir a little in her sleep as she wasn't ready to be awoken. She closed the curtain quickly with her magic casting the room in a quiet darkness once more. This caused the little colt to stir a little and wake up with a grumble coming from his stomach. Twilight heard this rumble and quietly said "Spike if your hungry, just go make yourself some breakfast." She said that not knowing who she was really talking to. The little colt took her advice as he slowly climbed out of bed and slowly made his way toward the door. He exited the room and entered the giant hallway looking for food. He finally found the kitchen as he entered one of the many doors in the castle. He sat down at the table and realized that he had no idea how to cook. His stomach growled louder and louder since he just thought about how long has it been since he's had anything to eat. He left the kitchen to go get Twilight to make him something to eat. Thankfully he remembered where her room was and he entered the room once more. He slowly climbed on top of the bed and nudged the sleeping Twilight. "Twilight, I don't know how to cook. Can you make me something please?" He said in a whisper. Still thinking she is talking to Spike, Twilight lazily replies " Not now , if you so hungry why don't you head into town for breakfast." Hopping off the bed the little colt replied "Ok" as he made his way out of the room. He finally reached the front of the castle with little effort as he explored most of the castle earlier. He couldn't open the huge doors in front of him with just his hooves, so he decided to use his magic instead. He began to channel his magic and his horn began to glow in a red arua. The door came off the hinges and flew into the dirt with a crash. He walked out the front of the castle with an embarassed look on his face. "Guess I need more pratice with controlling my magic." He said as he started to walk into town. He noticed several ponies about getting their day started as the morning started. As he made his way through town he noticed a nice smell wafting through the air. He started to salivate as his nose was bombarded by a delicious smell coming from a apple farm near the town. He slowly started walking towards the farm with a huge sign that read Sweet Apple Acres. As he walked into the farm he was greeted by a large ball of fillies screaming. "Look out!" was all he heard before they crashed into him sending him and the fillies into one of the apple trees causing a cascade of apples to fall on them covering them. Three little heads popped out of the pile of apples revealing the three fillies Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Bell. "Geez Scootaloo, I knew that was a bad idea to get our cutie marks for professional wrestling." Said Sweetie Bell said as she climb out while trying to fix her main. "Well I didn't see you come up with any ideas lately for getting our cutie marks." Scootaloo said as she too climbed out checking her flank to see if her idea worked. Sadly all she saw was a blank flank. As Apple Bloom was getting out of the pile of apples she said with a look of worry on her face. " Hey didn't we hit somepony during our tumble" , pointing a hoof sticking out to the pile. "Oh my gosh, we have to help them to make sure their ok!" said Sweetie Bell. They all grabbed his hoof and started pulling as hard as they could. With one final tug they pulled him out of the pile as they all tumble a few feet back. While they getting themselves off the ground they noticed what they knocked into. It was a little colt they have never seen before. He had black fur and black mane while his eyes where a bright red. They also noticed he was a unicorn like their friend Sweetie Bell. They also noticed he was very cute as he looked up at them with ruby scarlet eyes. They heard a huge rumble as they looked down at him. All he did was blush and gave a cheeky grin as he got up off the ground. "Excuse my manners girls, but my stomach is on a rampage for food." He said while he rubbed the back of his head. "No it's quite alright, there's no need to apologize. Besides we should be the ones saying were sorry, after all we crashed into you." Said Apple Bloom. " Yeah it's our fault that you might have gotten hurt." Said Scootaloo. "Ok girls, I think we owe him an apology." Said Sweetie Bell. In unison they all bowed their heads and said "We're sorry!" "Its quite alright girls, but I'm really hungry and I smell this amazing aroma coming from somewhere around here." He said while salivating causing the girls to giggle a little. "Well what I think you are smelling is my granny and sister cooking in the kitchen, they are trying out a lot of new recipes." Apple Bloom exclaimed. "We were just about to head over there to taste some of their cooking and your welcome to join us, it's the least we could do after crashing into you." All he could do was follow them to the house where the delicious smells were coming from. They all entered to the sound of dishes being washed and the table being set. They were greeted by Granny Smith setting the table full of treats and pies. "Hello everypony, your just in time to try some of our new recipes that me and Apple Jack here cooked up. Oh and who is this little colt here." She said pointing at the salivating colt. "Is he your colt friend Apple Bloom?" Apple Bloom turned beat red in the face, while the other two giggled. "No granny, he isn't my colt friend. He's just somepony we just met and we thought we could invite him for something to eat." "Well the more the merrier." Apple Jack said as she finished up the sink of dishes and walk over to the table. "Now dig in everypony!" Granny Smith yelled as she fell back into her rocking chair. Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Bell quickly dug in and ate their fill very quickly, while the little colt just sat there staring and salivating. "Are you sure it's ok for me to eat this food." The colt said while his stomach rumbled. Apple Jack got up and walked next to the colt and put her hoof on his shoulder. "Sure partner, eat your fill. We would never turn somepony away with an empty stomach while we have an abundance of food." He slowly went towards the table and started to eat. After about ten minutes he was still eating not showing a signs of stopping or slowing down. The three little fillies were astounded by how much he was eating. He must have been starving to eat this much, they thought. Apple Jack was also shocked at how much he was eating considering he was almost finished eating everything on the table. As he was reaching for the last plate on the table filled with apple fritters, when Granny Smith wakes up to see most of the food gone. "Well, It looks like the new recipes are a success." Granny said while looking at the empty table before her. "It was very good and filling." Said the little colt as he let out a huge burp. Apple Jack just stared in awe as she just watch a little colt ate as much as ten full grown stallions. She couldn't believe what she just saw. "Well I'm glad you liked our cooking, and woo wee you sure know how to put away some groceries. So how do you know my sister here?" As he whipped his muzzle clean of crumbs he says "I just met her today when she and her friends crashed in to me." This got Apple Bloom and the other two a glare from Apple Jack knowing that they were going to be in trouble later for causing mischief around the farm. "So what's your name there sugar cube?" Apple Jack said with soft smile. "My name is, my name is" he had trouble recalling his name as he started to feel uneasy. He couldn't think of his name, like it was taken from him. He started to try to go through his memories trying to recollect of who he might be and all he was able to see was the face of a unicorn. The unicorn looked familiar to him, but he could not place who he was and what he meant to him. He heard this unicorn in his head calling him son. So this unicorn is my father, but who is he and where is he. Tears started to fall down his cheeks as he just noticed he had no idea who he was or where his father might be. Apple Jack and the others noticed that he started crying. Apple Jack slowly pulled in the little colt into a hug asking "What's the matter?" He responded "I don't know who I am!" //-------------------------------------------------------// Meeting everyone //-------------------------------------------------------// Meeting everyone "Shhh, shhh, it'll be ok sugar cube" Apple Jack said as she tried to calm down the little colt. They all sat around the table in silence while Apple Jack slowly rubbed his mane to comfort him. Slowly his cries died down into little sniffles as he slowly raised his head out of Apple Jack's chest. "Are you all better now?" Apple Jack asked. He simply nodded as he began to rub his muzzle and eyes to get the tears off of his face. "Now let me get this straight, you have no idea who you are?" Apple Jack asked "That is correct." he said "Well is there anything you can remember?" Apple Jack asked He began to think about it before he answered. "I know that I have a father who was kind and very smart. He used to play with me all the time. He very strict with my studies though. He said I was very special and told me to treat everypony with kindness and respect. The thing is though like with me, I can't remember his name either. I can only remember what he looks like and the time we spent together." "Well I'm pretty sure that he must be mighty worried about you." Apple Jack stated. "Thankfully, I think I know the perfect pony that can help us find him and get your memory back. However we still need to give you a name to call you by so others can meet you properly. I'm sure you already have a good name but untill you get your memory back we have to call you something." An idea struck Apple Jack as she thought what to call him. "What is your favorite color?" She asked He sat their thinking about what she just said. "Don't think, just tell me." She said "Red, my favorite color is red." He said "All right looks like we now have a temporary name for ya." Apple Jack said as she smiled at him. The three girls and the colt just sat there wondering what she was talking about. What name could she have possibly given him, when all she did was ask him what his favorite color was. Apple Jack then started to clear the table, while the CMC and the colt just sat there trying to figure out what name she had given him. "Maybe it has to do with something red." Said Scootaloo. "Naw, that's to easy, it's got to be the number of letters in the color." Said Applebloom. "Girls, girls, it's pretty obvious that it's an acronym." Sweetie Bell chimed in. "We just need to fine out what it means." While the girls sat there pondering their thoughts, the colt went over to Apple Jack while she was finishing up the dishes. "So is my name Red?" he asked. She simply replied "Eehyup." "It can't be that simple, can it?" the CMC all said in unison. As she finished cleaning the last dish, she turned around to Red and asked him "Why were you so hungry this morning? It's like you haven't eaten in forever. I've never seen anypony eat so much in mah life. You would probably do well at eating contest at the next fair that comes to town." "I really like my new name." Red said excitedly as he jumped up and down. "The reason for why I was so hungry is I haven't had a home cooked meal before and I was really hungry. I woke up and Twilight wouldn't wake up to cook me breakfast, so I followed the good smell to here. I remember my dad did give me food but he was a terrible cook." Red said in a joking matter. What he had said caused Apple Jack to pause because she doesn't remember Twilight taking care of a colt until her brain thought of an idea. "Hey Red, when did you arrive in town?" She asked as she waited for his answer nervously. "I arrived in town last night if I remember correctly but I am not sure how I ended up in Twilight's home." He said with a puzzled look on his face. "I am not sure how I ended up in Twilight's castle, but when I woke up I was in a small crib, I don't know why though, I am not a baby. I am a grown pony or I used to be, not sure how I got stuck in this child's body. At least I remember having a bigger body, I think. When I couldn't find anything to eat at Twilight's castle I decided to leave and look for food elsewhere and that's when I smelled the delicious food coming from this farm, that's when I met these three here." He said pointing over to the CMC still arguing on what Apple Jack meant by Red. Apple Jack just sat there and listened to see if there were anything false in his words. She couldn't find any, he had been telling her the truth, even though is was very far fetched. She thought the best course of action was to gather everyone and meet back at Twilight's to get an explanation from all of this. She then felt a tug at her hoof and she looked down to see Red at her feat looking scared at the mention of going to Twilight's. " What's the matter Red? Why are you afraid of going back to Twilights?" "Well, I can of accidently broke her front door to the castle." He said. "How in tarnation did you pull that off, that door is huge." Apple Jack asked. This got the attention of the three girls as they wanted to hear this as well. "Well I used my magic to open the door and I lost control for a second due to my stupid stomach growling so loud it made me lose concentration and I kind of threw the door into the front yard." He said while rubbing the back of his neck with his hoof while blushing. "Wow you must be really strong!" Squeaked Sweetie Bell. "I can barely still lift some books with the levitation spell and yet you were able to tear off a door as big as that." "Well in any case I think we should all head to Twilight's for now." Said Apple Jack. " I think we should introduce you to everyone else as well Red. So Sweetie Bell I need you to go get your sister and Pinkie Pie and meet us at Twilight's. Scootaloo, you should go find Rainbow Dash and do the same. Apple Bloom you go get Fluttershy and we'll meet you there. With a quick salute, all three fillies zipped out of the house to do the task Apple Jack have given them. While Apple Jack and Red slowly made there way towards Twilight's castle. As they got closer to their destination, Apple Jack noticed the front door in the front yard where Red had said it was. He wasn't lying when he said he blew it right off the hinges. Red looked a little worried as they got closer to the entrance, until Apple Jack told him "Don't worry, if I know Twilight she will be more worried than upset." As they entered they heard yelling from further from with in the castle. "What do you mean you can't find the little colt?" Rarity squawked. "Yeah how can you lose a baby egg head." Rainbow chimed in. "I don't know, he was there this morning when I went to bed and when I woke up he was gone and some one broke my front door." Twilight said looking defeated. "I don't know how I can face Princess Celestia after losing him only after one day." "Don't worry Twilight, I'm sure we'll be able to find him and then I can throw him a welcome to Ponyville party!" Said Pinkie Pie. "I'm sure Pinkie Pie is right, we'll find him if we work together." Said Fluttershy in a nice quiet tone. "Awww we wanted to see the baby too." Said Sweetie Bell. "Yeah, he was so cute." Said Apple Bloom. "Where could he have gone?" Asked Scootaloo. At that moment Apple Jack walked in with Red slowly trotting in behind her. " Now every pony just calm down." Apple Jack said. "How can I be calm at a time like this, I lost a little colt and who knows where he could be." Twilight said with worry in her voice. "Don't worry I got him right here. Now get out here and introduce yourself." Apple Jack said as she slowly moved out of way revealing Red. "Umm he.... hello my name is Red, it's very nice to meet you all." Red said nervously looking at the ground. "Well it's very nice to meet you Red, but right now we have to find a little lost colt." Twilight said. "But I'm not lost, I'm right here." Red said. They all stared at him for a moment before realizing that he had the same coat color and mane color as the little baby colt. Slowly but surely one by one they realize what he was talking about. They all went wide eyed and slack jawed as they all came to the realization that Red and the baby colt were one in the same. They all shouted at this realization except for Apple Jack who just covered her ears. "WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Author's Note Leave comments below , good or bad I will read them. They all circled Red examining him from head to hoof to see if there were any similarities between him and the baby colt they found last night. Red felt very nervous with everyone crowded around him. They were all poking and prodding him with their hooves, Pinkie Pie was poking him the most until she found a sweet tickle spot. Once she found it, she kept tickling him until he fell over laughing holding his stomach. He wasn't feeling so nervous anymore as he got up from the floor still smiling and grinning. "Well whoever he is, he sure is ticklish." Said Pinkie Pie. "There has to be some explanation for this, there is no way this colt is the same one from last night!" Said Twilight. "There just has to be." "I know, let's take him back to the hospital to clear this up. If he is really the same colt we found last night then the doctors there should be able to tell if he's the same colt we brought there last night." "That's a great idea Twilight, that way we can plan a big party for all the birthdays he's missed by growing up too fast." Pinkie Pie said as she scooped up Red in a big hug. As they were all headed out of the castle Pinkie decided to ask some questions of her own, that way she can throw the best party ever. "So what kind of icing do you like on your cake?" "Icing? Cake? Are those food, are they delicious?" Red said as everyone halted to a stop. They all just stared at Pinkie as she looked astounded that someone has never tasted cake before. "What did I say something wrong?" "No, it's just we've never met anypony who's never had cake before, especially from one Pinkie." Said Apple Jack. As they all made their way over to the hospital everyone could see the gears in Pinkie's head turning and turning trying to find a way to throw a perfect party for a pony who's never had cake before. She knew that this would be one of her toughest challenges yet, but being the number one party planner, she had to do her job of making sure that Red would have the best time of his life. They entered the hospital yet a second time in such a short time as they were greeted by a nurse at the front desk. "Hello again, what brings you here again Princess Twilight?" "Please just call me Twilight. We are here to see the doctor who helped us last night." Twilight said. "Ok, I'll page him for you, just wait over there in the lobby." The nurse said. Five minutes passed really quickly as the doctor came out to greet them. "Ahh Princess Twilight, it's nice to see you again, I hope that foal you brought in last night is ok." "Well that is why we are here for doctor. We want you test this little colt here." Twilight says as she points to Red. "Well, well who do we have here?" He asks as he leans down to get a better view. "I know it is not my place to question a princess, but why are you bringing me all these children for check-ups?" "Are you a foal sitter or what?" He said jokingly. "No, no nothing like that, just I need you to perform the same tests on this colt here." Twilight said. "Ok ,ok sorry for pulling your hoof, it is just not everyday we get a visit from royalty. Now if you will follow me, um I did quite catch your name young fellow." "My name is Red." "Ok Red just follow me and we will get started." He motioned toward the double doors. Red went along with the doctor not knowing what kind of tests he was going to perform, but if Twilight trusts him so should he. That is what he thought anyways. As they disappeared behind the doors, Twilight's brain started to go in to overdrive trying to figure out what in the world was going on. "Hopefully these tests will help me come up with a theory of what it is." Twilight says as she wonders about the room. "What, what is?" Applejack asked. "Red." "He is not an it Twilight, he is a pony just like us." Applejack reminded her. "Are sure about that Aj, if he is the same colt from last night then there is no way he is a normal pony." Twilight says. "Twilight you already know a pony that is not normal." "Who are you talking about?" Twilight asked. All that Applejack did was point to the pink earth pony currently halfway buried in a couch in the lobby area. "Pinkie! What are you doing?" Twilight asked. "Duh, I'm couch diving for treasure. I've only found four bits and a paperclip but I think there is more down deep." Pinkie says as she takes a deep breath and disappears in to the couch. "Ok, you got me there Applejack , but you got to admit there is something strange about Red." "I'm not saying that there is nothing strange about him sugacube , but he is a scared little colt that needs our support right now untill we can figure this out." "Your right Applejack, but i just can't help feel thag there are some strange powers at work here." At that moment the doors open with Red walking through with the doctor scratching his head while looking confused while looking at a clip board he had levetating in front of him. //-------------------------------------------------------// Doctors visit ( side chapter ) //-------------------------------------------------------// Doctors visit ( side chapter ) As Red and the doctor walked in the back, Red was getting looks from all the nurses. "Wow who is the little cutie you got there?" he heard one nurse say. While another said " He must have all the little fillies after him." Those were all flattering comments Red was not used to recieving, so he just blushed and walked while avoiding the looks from the nurses. The doctor just chuckled as they went into a examination room. "Ok, Red hop on up here so I can get a look at you." He said as he patted the medical examination table. Red did as he was instructed and hopped on the table. As he did the doctor called in one the nurses to assist him. "Nurse Redheart! Will you assist me in here?" "Sure, let me just finish with this patient first." A few minutes later Nurse Redheart walks in with a clipboard in tow. "So who is the lucky patient today doctor?" "This little colt here will be getting a quick check-up." He said motioning towards Red. "Ok, first lets check your breathing." He brings the stethoscope up to Red's barrel and presses firmly. "Now breathe in and out." Red did as he was told and breathed deeply, then exhaled. "Ok now do it again." He did it again. "Now one more time." As he exhaled the doctor grasped the clipboard from nurse Redheart and began to scribble down notes. "Ok breathing seems to be normal." As he did a few other tests, everything was testing to be normal. Eyesight, hearing, and reflexes were all normal for a colt his age. The doctor was worried about the next test, as most colts and fillies do not like getting their blood drawn and most of them put up a fight. "Nurse Redheart, can you please fetch your brother security officer Blueheart so he can help me with the next test." He motioned toward the needle he had floating behind his back. Nurse Redheart got the gists of it and made her way outside to get her brother. Red was confused as to why they needed another pony for the next test, because all the previous test had been real easy and strangely familiar. A few moments later nurse Redheart returned with a big burly earth pony in tow behind her. "I am back doctor with Blueheart and I already informed him of the next test." "I am ready when you are doc." Blueheart said as he made his way to beside Red in case he had to hold him still for the blood to be drawn. He had done this many times before for the doc. "All right Red, I need you to hold out your right forleg." The doctor said as brought the needle from behind him. Blueheart was ready to pounce when notice that Red wasn't scared, even when the doctor revealed the needle which made him squirm as he didn't like getting shots either. The doctor was just as shocked that Red wasn't freaking out. "So what now?" Red asked still holding out his forleg. This brought the doctor out of his shock and he decided not to waste any more time and he quickly drew the blood without any reaction from Red. He hovered the vial over to nurse Redheart while he applied the bandage to Red's forleg. As he finished bandaging Red's leg he looked to Blueheart and said " thank you, you can go back to your rounds." He watched as he slowly walked toward the door to exit and notice he stopped before nurse Redheart . "What is the matter Blueheart?" "I am sorry, i just freak out at the sight of needles." He said as he pointed at the syringe his sister was holding. "Aw come on Blue don't tell me your still afraid of needles." Nurse Redheart says as she pulls out another syringe sporting a devious smile. "I still recall that you haven't had your flu shot this year." She said as she inched closer with a syringe in tow. This caused the big earth stallion to start backing up in fear. "Come on sis, you know I never get sick from anything. So why would I need a shot." He chuckled nervously as he stared backing up. Red and the doctor began to giggle at this display going on as the nurse crept closer and closer to her brother with the syringe. Before they knew it she was chasing him around the room screaming at him to grow up and take the shot like a stallion. He was able to out run her easliy but he just could't get by her to get to the door. He decided to rush the door hoping she would move out the way, but Redheart knew her brother well and stood her ground. She held the flu shot out in front of her and waited. As her brother saw the needle come into view he tried to skidd to a halt but with the newly waxed floors that wasn' t happening. He was sliding across the floor backwards as he try to back peddle from the foward momentum he had from trying to rush the door, untill he felt the needle enter his flank. "YEOWWW!" He screamed as he jumped foward tumbling toward the doctor and Red at breakneck speed. The doctor was laughing to hard at the two sibling's antics to noticed the large stallion tumbling towards him. He didn't have a chance to cast a spell to protect himself or Red. All he did was close his eyes and brace for impact. A few seconds went by before he opened them. He noticed Blueheart suspened in a red magical aura right in front of him. He let out a long sigh of relief that nurse Redheart was able to catch him before he crashed into them. "Thank you Redheart for catching your brother." "Doctor, that wasn't me." She exlpained looking at him in confusion. Then all eyes turned to Red whose horn was glowing the same red arua that caught the large stallion. The doctor and nurse went slacked jawed as they realized that this little colt unicorn was able to stop this fully grown earth stallion with his magic which was difficult for fully grown unicorn to do. He wasn't even breaking a sweat while channeling the spell. Red released the spell, dropping the the stallion to the floor who now was rubbing his flank from where the needle entered. "There, you happy now sis, I got my flu shot." He huffed as he walked passed his sister who was still in a daze as to what just happened. The doctor was the first to recover as he felt a hoof poking at him. "Is something wrong doctor?" Red asked. "No, no you just suprised me with how strong your magic is." "Most unicorns your age don't have the type of magical strength you just showed us." "The most a filly or colt can lift at your age should be a decently sized book." He exlpained "You said we had one more test, right?" Red asked "Ah, yes I almost forgot the magic test for unicorns." He brought out some crystals from a desk nearby. "These crystals here are to gauge your magical strength. You are going to fill these crystals with your magic until you can't anymore, ok." He said as he laid them beside him. One by one Red began to fill the crystals with his magic until he couldn't anymore. After he filled the last one the doctor picked up the crystals and laid them on the desk. He grabbed the clipboard and made a few more notes. He motion Red to get off the the table as they headed out toward the lobby. As he walk by nurse Redheart he whispered "Get Dr. Dreamer in here to help with the disposing of these crystals." Nurse Redheart just nodded as they walked out. She couldn't believe how many crystals he filled. A few minutes later Dr. Dreamer came in to help with the disposal. "Hey Redheart, wow looks like you had alot of unicorn patients today." He said as he looked at the ten crystals that laid on the desk. "Only one patient was in here today and he was a colt." She said. He burst in to a laugh that lasted for several minutes until they finished disposing of the crystals. He was wiping the tears from his eyes as he looked to nurse Redheart and said " Your telling me that a small unicorn colt filled all those crystals by himself, there was enough magic in those to equal ten adult unicorns. I'm sorry but that is just impossible for that to be the case." He left the room just chuckling as nurse Redheart stomped out in a huff. As the doctor came back from the lobby he bumped in Dr. Dreamer. He thanked him for helping the nurse dispose of the crystals. Dreamer said it was no promlem, plus he got a laugh out of it. He asked him why he got a laugh out of it and Dreamer told him the joke Redheart had told him. He then told him it was no joke which caused him to chuckle until he noticed his fellow doctor was not laughing, meaning Redheart was telling the truth. "What kind of colt has that much magic!?" Dreamer asked. "Appearantly this colt and his name is Red." The doctor exlpained. "Other than his absurd strength in magic he's just a normal pony, so I asked Princess Twilight to enroll him into the school for gifted unicorns. With that much magic he shouldn't have a tough time getting in." "Yeah no kiddin." As they were talking nurse Redheart showed up caring the clipboard. "Here you are doctor, these are the results from the blood work." As he grabbed the clipboard his eyes shrank and his breathe became short reading the results. "How is this possible? This can't be possible."
