Princess Twilight paced around the castle throne room, hoping to do something useful since finding the meaning of her being a Princess. Quite unexpectedly from the library, Spike received a letter from Princess Celestia. Spike read the beginning of the letter to find it was a job for Twilight. Finally something she can do instead of pacing. It's driving me nuts. Spike called out, "Twilight! I got a letter from Princess Celestia!" Twilight smiled at the news of something to do.

She into the room and took the letter with her Alicorn magic. It read:

Dear Princess Twilight,

It has to my conclusion that as the Princess of Friendship, you do not yet have many royal duties. But at the edge of Equestria there is a group of ponies that are rouge, wild, and possibly even dangerous. I am afraid that without having any friendship there, something terrible may happen to all of Equestria. I believe that it should be in your best interests to complete this task. The outcome of what ever happens there will affect the lives of millions of other ponies. You should leave at once, and may you have good luck on this task.

~ Princess Celestia

Twilight knitted her eyebrows together in worry. Equestria?...depending all on me? She gulped. "Spike, I'm leaving town for a bit take care of Owlicious for me." she then rushed out of the room, carrying the letter behind her in the air. She needed to grab her supplies. Spike ran out of the room to catch up with her.

"Wait!" Spike sped up to be beside Twilight. "Twilight are you okay? You seem really worried, was it something in the letter?"

"Nope, I'm perfectly fine." Twilight replied with a nervous laugh. "Completely fine!"

"Well...then do you need help with anything then?"

"Nope, nothing at all," she smiled.

"Okay then...Ill just go back to the library then..."

"Fine by me!" Twilight shouted as she raced into her bedroom.

Spike shook his head, "That is one strange mare..." he turned around and headed back to the library.

Twilight rushed around her room, gathering things, and packing her bags. "Um...what do I need?...the letter just in case...a map...parchment...quills and ink...books on the area..." She then looked at her over packed bags with satisfaction. Who knew books could take up so much space, oh well.

Twilight was just about to leave when she remembered her friends. What will they think when they find out I'm gone?I can't do that to them, it's not fair. At least Spike has an idea about me and what happened, but he doesn't really know anything about where I'm going...maybe I can leave them a note. That sounds like a great idea, a note.

Twilight took out a piece of parchment, a quill, and an ink well. Once she was prepared, she started to write.

Rainbow Dash knocked on the castle door. "Hello? Anybody inside?Twilight?" The door opened to find an emotionally unstable Spike. "Hey buddy, you okay?"

Spike shook his head, and held up a piece of paper for Rainbow Dash to read. "She left this in her room, clearly she wanted to get out of Ponyville, I think it was something I said." Rainbow Dash eagerly took the note and sat down to read. Spike pulled out a hanker-chief from who knows where, and blew his nose.

Dear Friends,

I am afraid that I must leave town for a while. I must face a dangerous task that Celestia has given me with the weight of Equestria on my shoulders go to Canterlot for Princess Celestia has requested my audience. I wish you could all come with with me but it's too dangerous it must be just the two of us. I shall come back as soon as I can. I miss you all already

~ Twilight Sparkle

"This bad, very bad," Rainbow Dash shook her head. "What did she mean by 'face a dangerous task that Celestia has given me with the weight of Equestria on my shoulders' or 'it's too dangerous' This doesn't sound at all, if only we knew where she was going..." Rainbow Dash looked up at Spike thanks for giving this to me, I need to go show the others. See you later." In an instant Rainbow Dash was gone and only a rainbow was left behind.

In reply, Spiked just wiped away his tears and blew his nose once again, before walking inside and closing the door behind him.

"Oh dear, not Twilight!' Rarity exclaimed. She started pacing around the mess in her shop. She was going through one of her creativity process before Rainbow Dash had knocked on the door . "What ever are we going to do? She can't be alone and do this, that just won't do..."

"Not Twilight.." responded Fluttershy in her soft sweet voice. "She was always so nice to me. She let me borrow books on the sweet little critters I always take care of..."

"Um, isn't that what a library is for, borrowing books?" questioned Rainbow Dash.

"I guess..."

"WHAT?! Twilight left and I didn't even get t give her a care package! who knows when she'll get it now!"

Rainbow Dash put a hoof to her forehead and questioned her decision to tell Pinkie what had happened. "We don't even know where she is"

"I KNOW! That's why it will take a long time!" She then bounced away with a smile on her face.

"Why in tarnation did she leave?! She knew we would get all angry. Must've been somethin' real important to leave us behind."

Rainbow Dash had a plan. They were going after Twilight. Once everypony knew the plan, they prepared for action.

Twilight had almost approached the group of ponies that was going to mean the fate of Equestria. She approached them slowly, not trying to draw too much attention, but it didn't matter, she was an Alicorn, of course everypony would stare at her. She finally gathered up her courage and started to speak about the Magic of Friendship, but all she got were laughs. She felt like she was in magic kindergarten all over again. Soon enough  someone threw something at her, a bottle. It broke at her hooves and glass rain every where just as some strange smoke enveloped her. Her world suddenly went back.
