Discovery. This is very important to invent and change things. Many things that are discovered are usually used for good things. Some are for bad things but usually good things. What we have discovered is probably a good thing, if in good hands. Well the Cutie Mark Crusaders went to it to get Cheerlie and Big Mac to hook up.
Even though that was a stupid idea. But a few days after the incident Sweetie Belle's magic was acting up. Doing stuff she would not normally do, it attracted her to the Gazebo for some reason. Twilight decided to check it out, see if there was anything there. Nothing seemed to be happening, with anything. It looked normal, or so Twilight thought. That is until, Rainbow Dash crashed into Twilight.
"Rainbow, why did you do that?" Twilight asked.
"Sorry Twi, I was just practicing something, and you kinda distracted me," said Rainbow Dash.
"Just, don't do that next time," Twilight said angrily.
"So, watcha doing?" asked Rainbow Dash.
"Just inspecting this Gazebo, seems to have some weird essence around it, but nothing is happening," Twilight said
frustrated looking around.
Rainbow Dash and Twilight just inspected the whole Gazebo until Rainbow Dash thought about old Manehattan. When there were cars and computers around the area. The Gazebo then went to the fabric of time and ended up somewhere in the past.
"Twilight, where the heck are we?" Rainbow asked completely calm.
"Well... I... have... no... I- idea," Twilight said quietly.
"Why, does it smell here?" Rainbow asked, "We should
probably find a way to get out of here."
"That would be a good idea," Twilight said. They both exited the cave. Finding themselves, in Manehattan, 2,000 years in the past.
Nothing looked different about it, there were no improvements for many centuries. It only decreased since cars and computers did not exist in the present day.
"Twilight, did you know, the Gazebo is a Time Machine," Rainbow said.
"That isn't possible Rainbow, it would need a ton of magic exerting from it," Twilight said baffled.
"But, it is, I know it," Rainbow Dash said, "I can see if it's a time machine or not."
"That's crazy Rainbow, I don't believe a word you say," Twilight said.
"You don't have to, but it's the truth," Rainbow said.
They kept walking to the top of the hill outside the city. The Gazebo was there waiting for them. It was their only hope for getting back in time. Until the earthquake hit. The legendary earthquake that made the bay around Manehattan.
"Rainbow, help!" Twilight screamed while plummeting the the ground.
"I gotcha, I won't let go Twilight, but your heavy!" Rainbow yelled briefly.
"Hey," said Twilight.
"Sorry, here let me try to pull you up," said Rainbow Dash. Rainbow succeeded in pulling her up. A giant spike then came out from the ocean trying to stab them but failing ultimately.
"Crap, we have to get the heck out of here!" Twilight said, "We have to fly there, your the only one with wings."
"I can't I got him by a damn rock while pulling you out," Rainbow said in pain, "Just use some magic, please."
"Oh ya, woops, forgot I can do that," Twilight said sheepishly.
Twilight then made a bridge towards the Gazebo made of rock. She raised a large platform of land, by mistake. There was no way she could make it decrease, her magic was too weak. Twilight then pulled Rainbow Dash towards the Gazebo, but Rainbow then said something before they could get their.
"Hey Twilight, we changed the course of history, you made all of Manehattan," Rainbow Dash said quickly.
"I did?" Twilight asked, "It dosen't make sense."
"You raised land so an ENTIRE city can be built on it for the future, also where the Gazebo is, should be where Pony Liberty should be located, the bridge is collapsing already," said Rainbow Dash.
"Well that makes sense, but still, there's no way I made the land of Manehattan," said Twilight.
"Alright then, let's go home and look in the history books," said Rainbow Dash eagerly.
"I told you, were not in the past," said Twilight. When they stepped in the Gazebo they instantly went back to where they were the second the teleported to the old Manehattan. As they were walking towards Twilight's house they talked.
"So, that was old Manehattan, with cars and computers, they were all destroyed in the earthquake, that was awesome!" yelled Rainbow Dash.
"It was scary, but very thrilling," said Twilight, "Mabye we should do it again, I believe it was a time machine, but I don't think I changed the course of history."
"Did you know that was Manehattan Twilight?" asked Rainbow Dash.
"Well, ya I read it in the history books, but they did not talk about those weird giant things, that earth ponies can ride on." Twilight said, "You called them cars right, how did you know about that?"
"I went back in the past, that's why I fly very fast so I can break the sound barrier, thus teleporting me where ever I think about,
but now the Gazebo makes that easier for me, I don't have to do a Sonic Rainboom to go into the past," said Rainbow Dash.
"Wow," replied Twilight.
"Well we are going to find out soon, if you really changed the history of Manehattan" said Rainbow Dash.
They entered in the Golden Oak Library. They checked the history of Equestria book. Flipped to the formation of Manehattan and it said,
A giant earthquake wiped away a bay for a new land to grow out. Over thousands of years passed by and a new land formed over the bay. Pony settelers found the land and built rafts to go over to the giant island in the bay. They started colonizing on it, they claimed it as their own. Eventually it grew very much.
It became and was called Manehattan back when it finally became an industrial region for oil. The industrial eventually failed of a giant malfunction and the riot of the three tribes, unicorn, pegasi, and earth pony. So the industrial age stopped there.
But legend says, there was a very powerful unicorn, who even exceeds the Starswirl the Bearded. It is said she raised the land to save a close friend of her, and she would not give up on her. So she made it her burial ground when she died, even though the land was suppose to save her. She failed and disappeared forever. But legend remains, that the friend is still buried under the city, until today.
"Well, there is no proof I raised that ground," Twilight said.
"Hold on, the next page, turn to it, the history of Manehattan is not done, it ends on the next page," said Rainbow Dash.
Twilight flipped to the next page. Much to her suprise it read,
Current research, about 3 years ago, there is proof that a very powerful unicorn, or an alicorn could have raised the island of Manehattan. Since it's edges of the north and south bay were spiked up. Like something raised from the ground. Current experts still don't know who raised it, but whoever did, must be very powerful.
"Wow, so mabye I did raise it," said Twilight.
"Told ya," said Rainbow Dash.
"So, it can go back in time, we should check out other historical times," said Twilight excited.
"Not today Twilight, mabye tommorow I'll go with you," said Rainbow Dash yawning.
"Wait, I forgot to ask, why aren't you hurt or anything?" asked Twilight.
"I have no idea," replied Rainbow Dash.
So they both decided they will go back in time together as friends. To explore the past, but little did they know the dangers of the past. They will have so much fun in their journey, but also a lot of dangers to pass in the past.
