She was off in Appleloosa, just at a gathering where there were many earth ponies and very few pegasi, very few knew Dash, but she had come to actually do something. Twilight was out in canterlot with the princess on some of her "royal duties", AJ had a long day of bucking apples in front of her, Pinkie was setting up a party for Mr.Cake's birthday, Rarity was setting up a line of dresses for photo finish, and dash had nothing to do at all, so she decided why not take a trip so her day wouldn't be as boating as listening to twilight lecture her about science. When she got there, she realized they were celebrating the start of the apple bucking season. by this time, all of the ponies had gathered up into groups of 2 lovers, well almost all of them.
" You look quite alone, mind if we fix that?" said a brown mare with long golden hair. At first dash was quite confused. Why would a mare say this to her? Then it hit her. Over here in Appleloosa, hair was kind of boring, simple, plain, all except for the filly foolers of course. They must have thought she was a lesbiand.
"I, uhm... no thanks, I don't go that way" responded Dash. The mare looked confused. "Oh, I um I'm sorry for offending you, its just your hair..."
Rainbow cringed after hearing this comment. She flew off, looking for a stallion so she could prove she was not a "filly fooler" as they would say. She spotted a nice light brown pony with black hair, and landed. "Hey, mind if I acompany you?" the stallion looked at her in shock. "Someone with hair like yours? Tell me this is a joke." Everyone thinks I'm a homo just because of this stupid awesome hair. Dash thought to herself. Dash didn't normally cry, but she let a few tears go before flying off to hide under a tree and whimpering.
Soarin was now flying over head after eating some delicious Appleloosa apple pie when he heard a whimper from down below. He looked down to see Rainbow Dash crying under a tree quietly, but not so quietly so that Soarin couldn't hear her. He had always had a crush on Rainbow, the only pony who could perform a sonic rainboom, but he had never had the courage to confront her about his feelings towards her. he gently flew down to Dash
No. she thought. This can't be happening! The one pony she had a crush on was the only one to see her like this. She must just be in a nightmare right? Right?...
"Hey Rainbow, are you ok? What happened? You can tell me, I'm will try my best to help you with whatever the problem is."
Hearing this, Dash looked up. "R-really? Y-you won't make fun of me for crying, or why I'm crying?" Rainbow whispered out.
"Of course! I'm always happy to help you Rainbow Dash!" Rainbow, now looking a little more confident told him about them all thinking she's a filly fooler, and how no one would go out with her because of her stupid (and awesome) hair.
"Rainbow! That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard! Those guys just don't know what to look for in a pony, I think your beautiful..." Rainbow hearing this made her so happy, the pony she had always had a crush on calling her beautiful? That was something she had only dreamed of before this. "R-really? You think I'm beautiful?" she responded in a shy tone. "Your one of the most beautiful ponies I've ever met." and he was not lying, the way her body was athletic, but still sexy amazed Soarin a mare could do that.
"I think any pony who would have you as a mate would be very very lucky..." he trailed off. Rainbow leaned up and kissed him, pressing her muzzle against hers, and locking tongues with soarin. Rainbow broke away from the kiss. "I am so sorry! I don't know what took ov-" Soarin kissed her, muffling the words. This time they had a much longer lasting passionate kiss.
