Rarity is a well know fashion designer who travels from the city to a village. She meets her number one client, Lagur and soon she makes a living in the village. One day, Rarity discover a secret about Lagur and is caught. She try's to get away, but is place in a machine that shocks her to no end. When Rarity refuse to give up, she is throw out the window and is left for dead. Luck was on her side as the spirits of fallen pony warriors help her get back to full strength. Rarity awakes in the Hospital with gems in her mane and tail and bracelet on her hooves. After learn that the bracelets can make anything her mind thinks and learning that the spirits of the warrior ponies save her, Rarity promise them that she make sure they rest in peace by becoming Radiance, the Mare that can make anything.
