On the of a near by river a tall figure looms over a smaller prone figure, the new moon bathed them both in the darkness, hiding them from others walking the beach. The beach itself was covered in blood a corpses, men and women, their bodies covered in their own and their comrade's blood, twisted limbs, broken bones, and even rocks and other objects on the beach impaling them.

With a good look, someone could see that the bodies lying on the beach have very similar clothing to the man standing over what would appear to be a teenage boy. However, he was not moping around about the fate of his fellow companions. Instead he was standing over a teenager, who had a multitude of broken bones, and sever wounds covering him. But despite being close to death he just had a small smile on his face, knowing that all of this would end soon.

"Are you ready to face your death now, demon," the larger man spat at him.

The boy chuckled softly even though it hurt his chest. "Just get this over with already," the boy replied back.

The man just stared at the boy, a walked up to him. Placed a chock with one of his hands, and lifted the boy up with the chocking hand. "For all you have done demon," the man said, "you shall be drowned until death." The man cut the boy once more across the chest to make sure he wouldn't try anything, the boy groaned in pain. He turned around and walked to the shore of the lake.

"Any last words sinner," the man asked, not very politely.

"Yeah, I hope I see you in Tartarus soon buddy," the boy said, thinking back to the worst place possible to go to after death. Even though he didn't really believe in heaven or hell, or any religion for that matter.

"For killing you, I won't demon," the man hissed. And before the boy could do anything else he threw the boy into the river a good fifteen feet from the beach. And without another glance, he turned around and walked off into the distance.

Under the water of the river, the boy didn't struggle for his life, he didn't try the swim. He just sank, and waited for it all to end. Just when he felt the burning sensation in his chest begin, someone began to speak in his mind. "Well, this is rather unfortunate," it stated, "but at least I know how to get us out of this situation.

'Remember what happened all those other times you did this,' the boy said annoyed, 'they will just keep coming and coming for me until the end of all freaking time.'

"Oh, don't worry about it," it stated, with a rather carefree tone in his voice, "what I'm about to do, no one will bother us again, hopefully."

Before the boy could respond, an immense energy came from his left eye, still being covered with a small piece of cloth.

And then he could feel his body shifting, and molding for some reason, and then he hit the ground with a soft thud, his head gazing at the stars for less then a moment.

Before falling unconscious on the street.
