I can't remember... What happened in Septemeber... When everything is gone... When it's dark and I'm alone...
In a brown and grey wasteland, one surviving pony groans, and tries to get up.
As he walked through the town, or more aptly, what was left of it, he saw ponies, lying dead on the ground, in houses, and a few pegasi were on the clouds. Though, they weren't ponies anymore. Just... Bones. Skulls, legs, ribs, and more littered the ground around him. Spattered blood was everywhere; underhoof, on buildings, clouds, mailboxes... EVERYTHING. It was like some sick, twisted artist had killed all of these ponies to paint red over a broken, dead landscape. But what scared him, however, was the fact that there was a body with a horn... And wings...
"How did I survive this... If the Alicorns couldn't? What killed all of these ponies? And... Why do I feel... Guilt?" As he said this, not only a headache hit him, but a vision as well...
"Finally! Finally it's done! It's finally done!"
"Huh? What was that? It was like... A memory..." Frowning, the stallion continued to walk, albeit a little quicker. As he walked, he started to see more and more things he recognized. Except, with one small difference; they were burning. Sugarcube Corner was a pile of rubble. Seeing something in the debris, he walked over. What he saw terrified him to no end. It was a cupcake. But, it was horribly wrong. There was no icing. It was coated in blood. Scared, he took a step back. When he did, his face became paler than it already was. A hoof. A foal's hoof, to be precise. Reaching out from the debris, towards the bloody cupcake. Heart pounding, the stallion backpedaled, trying to get away from the awful sight. Shivering from fear, the stallion fell to the ground, curled in a ball, desperately trying to make it all go away. But he failed. As a matter of fact, he made it worse...
Stop him! He's trying to kill us all! Stop him!
NO! No. I'm going to save you all... DON'T TRY AND STOP ME!!
As the unwelcome images left his head, the stallion could only think of one thing to do... RUN. And so he ran. Past burning buildings, past piles of rubble, past piles of bones and blood and death, he ran. On and on he ran, trying to escape. But he never could. Trapped in a never ending cycle of destruction. Passing the same dead, the same piles of rubble, and past ponies he once knew. Over and over again, he passed his friends, his family, and his home. Over and over again, the same ones he loved, the same places he enjoyed, and the same places he knew by heart. Gone. Burning to dust and ashes. Never to be the same. NOTHING would be the same... Eventually, he collapsed. Chest heaving, lungs burning, and heart pounding, he hit the ground. As he lay there, the comforting dark of unconsciousness slowly undertook him. Though, when he got there, it was anything but...
This is your redemption day, everypony!
Gasping, covered in a cold sweat, and utterly terrified for his very existence, the stallion woke. But, his terror was worse than before.
"Those eyes! They spoke of murder and insanity! And that voice! Treacherous and unnerving, like a true villain! And, even worse, his grin! Speaking of unspeakable evil, no remorse, and joy at the death he was going to cause! Who was he?!" Now, the stallion was more scared than before. If HE lived, what about the unicorn? With this revelation, the stallion started to run his pointless run again with a vengeance; every single trace of exhaustion entirely forgotten as he ran for his life. To him, the unicorn could be right behind him, so he redoubled his efforts to escape. All logic and caution was thrown to the wind, as was evident by his constant running into things. Yet, it didn't phase him... He hit a signpost, yet, what should have knocked a normal pony into La-La-Land, the stallion just shrugged it off, shook his head, and continued. He stumbled, fell, bruised himself, and hit things, yet he still pressed on. His breathing was labored, his hooves were heavy, and his lungs were screaming for air, but he did not stop. He continued, as if Tirek himself was snapping at his tail. He tore through the destroyed town, kicking up dust, debris, and blood. Suddenly, when his body could take it no more, he fell into the dirt, quickly submitting to the thing known as unconsciousness...
Go away from me! Stay away from me! Go away!
When he awoke, he complied. No longer could he think; only run. Something didn't seem right. It didn't make sense. He did not know what it was, yet he knew it was there; taunting him, trying to lure him to his doom. But, the stallion did not have doom on his mind. He ran. His mind knew he couldn't escape, but his heart refused to believe that. So he ran. Round and round, on and on, circling in the never ending torture path that used to be this town. Slowly, he came to a stop. Right outside where his home used to be. He turned, looked at it, and fell over, exhausted from running, fear, and dehydration. When he reached dreamland, something was awaiting him...

Back in the real world, the stallion started to change.

His coat became gray.
Remembered...
His cutie mark changed.
What Happened...
His mane and tail went from blue, to black and red.

His face elongated, and a horn grew from the top.
