Truthfully, I think this whole ordeal was a lesson of responsibility in itself, albeit unplanned for.” Celestia knelt down next to Twilight. “You are my student, and I your teacher. I am obligated to help you in any way I can. I could never be angry or disappointed with you, my most faithful and dearest student.” Celestia paused for a bit in thought, her face scrunched in a frown. “Well except that one time during Cadance’s wedding, my fault entirely of course.”
“You mean?”
Celestia nodded. “You’ve already raised Spike all on your own as well, and have both he and your friends to assist you in your endeavors. I’m sure you’ll be fine.”
Twilight looked back at her curious foal and back to her Princess before breaking out a bit in tears. “I was so worried that I’d…” Twilight shook her head and wiped her tears. “Thank you, Princess Celestia. I’m glad you came.”
“You are most welcome, Twilight Sparkle. Want to try this again some time? ”
Twilight immediately and vigorously shook her head while Celestia laughed like she never had in a long time. Well not really, that prank she pulled on Luna a month ago was pretty funny as well. Oh how she screamed when she opened her bedroom doors only to be washed down the hallways by a river of cake batter.
“Um, Princess Celestia?”
Celestia turned her head back towards Twilight. “Yes, Dearest Student?”
“Was all that, um, you know.”
“Oral sex?”
Twilight still was still unused to Celestia’s sudden bluntness. “Y-yeah. Was that safe?”
“Twilight, I would never do anything that would endanger you nor anybody’s life if I had find it so.”
Twilight sighed in relief.
“I mean you could have had a heart attack or bled out from hemorrhage, but that’s about it really. Nothing serious.”
“What?”
Rainbow Dash suddenly burst through her windows, startling her. “Twilight! I heard the news, are you okay?! Do you need a docto-oh.”
Her wooden door on the opposite side of the room was thrown open as well, as Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie found themselves in a tumbled heap. Spike walked in a second later waving. “Heya Twi! I brought your frie- hey, where did’ja get that baby?
In a second, all her friends rushed to her side were all over her asking her questions while Twilight subconsciously held her baby as close to her chest as she could. Princess Celestia looked on with an amused look before picking up the book that had caused so much trouble and discreetly teleported back to her castle.
“Happy Mother’s Day, Twilight!” Pinkie Pie screamed ecstatically. “Soooo, who’s the lucky guy?”
“Pinkie, that’s rude! And Mother’s Day was five days ago!” Applejack stood still for a moment and counted the dates in her head. “Eeeh, four?”
“Darlings, you’re scaring her! Not so close, give her some room!” Rarity leaned in closer, against her demands. “Although, I must admit, I’m a bit curious how and why you hid this from us. How did you even manage to hide this for five months?
“Yeah, kinda upset about you hiding this from us. But eh, no biggie. So yeah, who is the lucky guy?” Rainbow asked.
“Hey, how come Rainbow Dash gets to ask?!” Pinkie whined.
“What’s its name?” Fluttershy timidly asked. “Can I hold her? She looks so adorable.”
“Anyone else notice that the baby looks just like Twilight? And why’s there a wire between the baby and your, um, that place?” Spike reached for Twilight and her daughter’s umbilical cord.
“Spiky, don’t you dare touch that!” Rarity cried.
Twilight Twinkle giggled at all the attention. Twilight Sparkle herself sighed in exhaustion and fainted, startling her friends.
It was going to be a long week.
