A Beautiful Night
Octavia and Blueblood spend the night celebrating Blueblood's birthday. Below them, the town also celebrates the national holiday, but are there other reasons for the lights in the city below? A quick examination of the history of Equestria reveals nothing of revolts - except for the case of Nightmare Moon, whose alter-ego has returned recently. Could the night sky be more than just a mere appearance? And just why does Blueblood seem, in almost every appearance, to have been more concerned with his own aesthetic appearance than with how he appears in feeling to other ponies? Could it be that he has a secret of his own to hide? And why is he the sole royal who is no alicorn? What is Celestia planning for him? Could it be that he has not yet fulfilled his own destiny? What could that destiny be? Perhaps he has his own monsters to defeat…
Meanwhile, in Ponyville, nothing major has happened since the night of the Grand Galloping Gala Grief. What could Celestia have promised or revealed to Blueblood to keep him from investigating? Are his bad manners ignorance, or learned? What possible motive could he have to have such terrible manners deliberately? What secrets are Celestia and Luna hiding from Blueblood? What are they hiding from Twilight? What about the prophecies? She already knew that Discord and other foes were coming back. Why hide this from Twilight? Could there be something more suspicious going on? What possible reasons might she have? And why has Blueblood been isolated from society from so long? Just what is Celestia up to? And where is Luna in all this?
And why are Equestria's legends identical to the truth? Why didn't Twilight Sparkle know that Celestia was the other Royal Pony Sister? What is Celestia up to, that she would keep secrets like that?… that she could keep secrets like that?
These things, and others, are not really talked about in this story at all. Instead, what you get is a 400 word, one-sitting, Octavia and Blueblood ship. That's all that this really is. No more, and no less. Do not blame me for any false ideas you may get. Do credit me for any good ideas about other stories that I inspire. Also, if you do write about that, let me know so I can read it. I actually do think some of those ideas could be interesting, but I don't know. Well, anyway, that's enough of a description. On to the story itself! Go on, read it. You'll probably enjoy it. I think, anyway. Anyway, it's time to read. And you're not reading yet. Go on, get to reading it.
