He grinned wickedly at the memory, now having a means to stop them. "You six will do VERY nicely." He said, admiring the clay statues that stood in front of him. One was a unicorn. Her build was based off of one named Twilight Sparkle. Next to it was another unicorn, this one getting her shape from one named Rarity. Next to that one was a pegasus, getting his shape from that...Fluttershy. Discord boiled at the name. Next to that one was another pegasus, getting his shape from Rainbow Dash. Next to that one was an Earth Pony, who got her shape from Pinkie Pie. And the last one was also an Earth Pony, who got her shape from Applejack. Discord chuckled. "Finally...something to get me out of this stone prison. It's too bad the Elements of Harmony have to DIE for it to happen!" He laughed maniacally. "All I need is some magic to bring these poor foals to life." He clasped his (claws?) together and closed his eyes. Yellow magic began to slip through his fingers and flow towards the clay statues. Each one came to life, gasping and sucking air into their new lungs. They were still dully colored, and Discord needed to do something about that. "Approach me, mortals!" He shouted, half intending that to be a joke. They eagerly trotted up to their creator, and bowed before him. "You are still very gray, and while I love that color, I'm afraid I must brighten you up a bit." "Why!? We'd be just as dangerous when dull!" One of the pegasi said, flaring his wings in anger. "Oh, it's not about strength or deadliness. It's about being accepted into the community! You can't just walk into a town filled with pastel colored equines when you look like that! You must look...like you fit in." Discord then tapped one of his eagle claws against the stallion's head. As if he was being un-discorded, bright colors flowed into his coat. His coat became red as blood, and his mane of dried blood. His eyes flashed yellow, and Discord smiled. "There. I name you Wrath." Wrath scowled at his new bright colors. While he loved the red, he still liked grey much more. Discord then moved on to the other pegasus. The stallion's coat became a dark lavender, and his mane a navy blue. His purple eyes sparked with excitement at the new colors. They weren't grey, but he liked them. "I name you Pride." Pride grinned proudly at his new title, puffing out his chest to show his confidence. Discord moved on to the unicorns. The one that was shaped after Rarity, now labeled Lust, was a smooth peach color, accompanied by sapphire blue eyes and a magenta mane. The one shaped after Twilight Sparkle, now labeled Greed, was a very light tan, had olive green eyes, and a purple mane. He then moved on to the Earth Ponies. The one shaped after Pinkie Pie, now labeled Gluttony, was a sharp blue, and had a bright violet mane that hung over her pink eyes. The one shaped after Applejack, now labeled Envy, was lime green, had turquoise eyes, and a dark green mane that hung off the side of her head. Discord smiled at his creations. "I grant each of you a power that you can use at will...most of you anyway." He pointed to Greed. "I grant you with..." He brought his lion paw to his chin. "The ability to steal ponies' magic." His face flattened in annoyance. "Yes, I know it's unoriginal." He frowned at an empty space, as if somepony was there. "But please, people! What do you expect me to grant her with? She's greed!" He then pointed to Pride. "I grant you with the ability to duplicate yourself." The pegasus puffed out his chest. "Just more of me to admire!" He said with a smug grin. Discord then pointed to Envy. "I grant you with the ability to copy others' forms and abilities, such as flight and magic." Envy smiled. "They will envy me!" Discord chuckled at the words before pointing to Wrath. "I grant you with super-strength." He then pointed to Lust. "I grant you with a siren song. Stallions will worship your every step when you sing it." Lust's eyes sparkled. "Really? EVERY step?" Discord nodded. He then pointed to the last pony, Gluttony. "And I grant you with the ability to eat practically anything." Gluttony squeed at this news. "Eeee! Oh my gosh! So COOL!" She happily bounced around in a circle. Discord laughed. "Yes, yes. Now, go my minions! Destroy the elements of harmony, and bring Celestia to me ALIVE!" He laughed maniacally before his lungs ruined it by making him cough. He awkwardly continued laughing before his little sins disappeared in a flash. /// "I still feel out of place. Look at all these ponies! There's a bright pink one right over there!" Wrath pointed to a pink earth pony with a dark pink mane that was happily bouncing through town. "You idiot," Greed smacked Wrath on the back of the head. "That's the element of Laughter! We're supposed to go after her!" Wrath opened his mouth to speak but was cut off by Gluttony. "Whee, let's go!" Wrath scowled as the sins left him to follow the pink mare. "I don't get a say in this?" He yelled, flaring his wings. Greed turned back with a smirk. "Don't need to, you heard what the master said!" She then walked beside the others and disappeared over the horizon. Wrath grumbled. "Stupid...freaking...sins...leaving me behind..." He stormed off in the opposite direction of his siblings, eyes glazed over with hatred. /// Wrath sat on a random bench in the park. He found that he liked being alone. It was the only way he wouldn't get mad. He didn't like being mad. It bothered him to no end. He was Wrath, the Element of Wrath, he should take joy in being angry! "Are you okay?" He looked up to see a pale yellow mare with a concerned expression. "Why!? You think I'm-" He stopped mid-sentence. He couldn't help but stare at her. She was...beautiful. "I-I'm sorry if I angered you, I-I was j-just worried that s-something was wrong a-and..." She stuffed her head in her pink mane. "...I'm babbling." Wrath showed a hint of a smile. A SMILE. "No, it's...it's fine." He then recognized the mare. Element of kindness. He was shaped from her. Now it made sense. Why he found that he couldn't help but stare, why he didn't like being angry, why he liked being alone. She was shy and kind. "I overreacted. You're the element of kindness, correct?" He just had to make sure. "Um, yes...why?" Wrath frowned in disappointment. He was the complete opposite of her. He stood up with a scowl. "Wrath my PLOT!" He shouted, before storming off. Fluttershy stood still in front of the bench, not understanding what happened. "Wait, WRATH!?" She quickly ran off with no further explanation. /// "WHAT!?" Greed smacked Wrath across the face. "How COULD you!?" "I didn't have a choice! Something kept me back!" Lust's face dropped. "Uh oh." All of the sins turned to the unicorn in curiosity. "Well, it's just...I'm a natural expert on these things and...well, I think Wrath is...how shall I say...in love?" Wrath growled. "How DARE you suggest such a thing!?" He grabbed her neck with his wings and glared at her through glazed eyes. She shuddered with fear. "Well, it's just that I'm an expert and-" "Expert MY PLOT!" He then dropped her to the ground, sighing in defeat. "I can't do it. I don't want to be angry. I don't LIKE being angry." All of the sins gasped. "Bu-but you're WRATH!" Greed said, holding out a hoof to prove a point. "Yeah! You just HAD to be the one to fall in love?" Envy shouted, eyes glowing green. "It's not like I wanted to! Love isn't just something you can CHOOSE to fall into!" Lust coughed awkwardly. "You don't count!" He yelled, turning to her. "Wrath, what are we going to tell daddy?" Gluttony asked curiously. As if on cue a bellowing voice came from a nearby stream. "Tell me what?" It asked, eager to get its answer. The sins all gathered around the pond to find that Discord's face had appeared in the water. "That Wrath is-" Greed was cut off by Lust's hoof over her mouth. "Don't worry about her, Master! She's delusional! Probably from not getting enough bits!" Greed ripped her hoof from her snout with her magic, which glowed the same bright orange that was in Discord's eyes. "What are you talking about!? Wrath just told us-" Gluttony joined in on the fun, and wrapped her hooves around Greed's snout. "Lust is right, Daddy! She just needs to go steal something, that's all!" Discord eyed them cautiously, and nodded his head. "Yes, I suppose you are correct. Wreaking havoc will do nicely for your instincts." He glared at them. "But if you don't deal with the elements within a month I will be VERY disappointed in you!" The sins all nodded. "Yes, master!" They said simultaneously while Gluttony threw in a "yes Daddy!" Discord's reflection then rippled away. "Why would you tell Master about Wrath's little crush?" Lust asked Greed, true shock on her face. Chapter 2: His coping skill"What?" Lust gave a disappointed frown. "How could you? You don't even care about him! Don't you know how important love is?" Greed gave her an unamused look. "No. Master didn't put lovey-dovey things in our programming if you would call it that." Lust rolled her eyes. "Hello? I'm LUST! I know all about love!" She took a proud pose to show her point, though it didn't really make one. "Wrath is in it, you know nothing about it, it is a precious thing, it shouldn't be tossed away because you master tells you to do it, and Master would agree!" Lust slapped her hooves over her mouth as if she had just told a secret on accident. "What are you saying?" Greed asked, curiously inspecting Lust's frightened look. "I bet I can guess!" Pride shouted with glee. "Shut up Pride!" Wrath yelled, pulling the floating pegasus back to the ground. "I-I wasn't supposed to...say...he just...you know, so I could..." Lust sighed in defeat. "Master implanted his experience of love into my head so I would know what it's like. I am Lust after all!" She said innocently. "He's going to kill me for this..." She whimpered. "What, you mean Master put THAT in your head too?" He collapsed onto the floor in laughter, a few seconds afterwards Envy chuckled a bit. "Yeah, I definitely don't envy you on THAT note!" She giggled a little more before they were interrupted by a loud crack. "Are you done giggling like little fillies?" Wrath asked, a noticeable crack in the pavement below his hoof. "Yes, I do believe we were talking about WRATH!" Greed stated, giving the two a hard glare. "Hey, don't drag me back into this!" He shouted. "Well you were the whole reason this even came up! You AND Kindness!" "S-Shut up!" Wrath stuttered. "Just because Lust thinks I'm in love doesn't mean I am!" "Um..." The sins all turned in unison to see Fluttershy along with the other elements. "Ha! Good luck talking your way out of this one, Wrath!" Pride said with a smirk. /// "Let me clarify that it isn't what it sounds like." Wrath said with an innocent smile. Twilight gave him an angry glare. "Yeah, I'm sure it isn't." She growled. "So...hear any weird news lately?" Greed asked with a smug grin. Twilight Sparkle frowned at her. "Yeah, though I'm sure you already know." She said, eyeing Greed's build. "I would say 'nice to meet you', but considering who you are..." Greed gave her a good natured laugh "Please, it's an honor to meet you...Magic." She said, now puposefully mocking the element bearer. "My name is Twilight Sparkle. I hope you'll use it from now on." She said with strained calmness. "Are these those freaky sin ponies ya'll been talking 'bout?" Applejack asked, looking curiously at Envy. "Yes they are, Applejack. Each one made specifically for each of us." Twilight frowned at Greed. "Purposefully made to be our worst enemy." Greed chuckled. "Enemy's a little harsh, don't you think? I prefer to call it...a sibling rivalry." She rolled her eyes. "But you wouldn't know a thing about sibling rivalries, would you Twily?" "Don't drag Shining Armor into this!" She growled. "Oh, right. You two don't talk much anymore, do you?" Greed happily left the argument, confident that she had won. "It's better than having a mix-and-match creature be the only thing to call dad!" Greed stopped in her tracks. She turned around with a hiss, her eyes glowing yellow. "You leave Master out of this!" Rainbow Dash fell over in a heap of giggles. "Ha, ha, ha! Master? You guys call him MASTER!?" She pounded her fists at the ground in uncontrollable laughter. "Oh, CELESTIA! That's RICH!" Rarity soon joined her, if only with light giggles. Soon all five of Twilight's friends were laughing at the almost impossible innuendo. "You shut your traps or I'll rip them off!" Wrath growled, eyes glazed over once again in anger. Every single one immediately stopped. His eyes soon returned to normal, and he desperately rubbed them as if they would turn him into a monster. "You know, Wrath...you could form an alliance." Lust whispered in his ear. He grunted and pushed her mouth away from his head. "I'm not in the mood Lust!" Twilight's five friends soon started giggling again. Wrath growled, desperately clamping his ears to his head to block out the noise. He whined and whimpered as if in pain. He couldn't take it. He couldn't get angry again. He needed to disappear. He needed to get away from everything. He needed to be alone. He squirmed under his hooves, knowing he was about to pop. That's when it hit him. "Think about Kindness, think about Kindness..." He whispered to himself. He didn't get angry when he saw her face. It was like his rage was gone and it would never come back. He wanted that to last forever. He didn't want to get mad ever again. "Wrath? Are you okay?" His eyes shot open and he realized that the elements were gone. Had it been that long? He looked up. "Pride?" The stallion stood beside his fellow sins who all wore concerned looks. "Yeah, you started smiling and flapping your wings so we got worried." Wrath blushed. Maybe he had gotten a tad carried away. "I'm fine. I just learned a new coping skill." Pride's jaw dropped. "What!? Coping skill!?" Wrath sighed, he felt like he was about to cry. "I don't want to be angry, Pride. I want to be nice, calm, and gentle." He sighed dreamily without realizing it. "Like Kindness." He said with a goofy smile. Pride blinked a few times before turning to Lust. "You were right, he's goo-goo for Kindness." She smiled triumphantly while Greed growled in anger. "This is terrible! How are we going to carry out master's plan if Wrath's all goo-goo eyes for an element bearer? Kindness no less!" She said, nervously pacing in a circle. "Do you have something AGAINST Kindness!?" Wrath growled, eyes starting to glaze over. "Of course I do! She's an element bearer! Master's worst enemy! We're not supposed to fall head over hooves for them!" Greed's cheeks started to grow flushed as she continued her outburst. "I mean, they're supposed to be our worst enemies for Havoc's sake! And if we fall for them then Master's plan would be ruined! And he said himself that he would be VERY disappointed! So I have to do everything in my power to keep from-" Greed stopped abruptly. They were all staring at her. "I mean, not that...I..." She awkwardly cleared her throat. "Anyway..." Chapter 3: Second chances"Really? Magic?" Lust fell over giggling. "Yeah, talk about a love/hate relationship." Pride said, nudging Greed with his elbow. He said, still rubbing his neck. Lust groaned. "Why must it be so?" She wondered out loud. "Ha! Now you can't blame me!" Wrath shouted with joy. "Now you ALL know how it feels!" He laughed maniacally before awkwardly coming to an abrupt stop when he saw them glaring at him. "I mean, hooray! Now you know how it feels!" "At least we didn't act upon it!" Greed growled, scrunching her face against his. "Please, I could see that tail flick." Wrath said with a smirk. Greed pulled away with an intense blush. "I-I...I didn't do it on purpose." She mumbled, covering her face with an arm to hide the crimson blush on her cheeks. Though, everypony could see it creep up to her ears. "Well, then that settles it. We are not prepared to take on this mission." Lust said with an affirmative nod. "Yeah," Gluttony agreed. "We can't destroy the elements if we like them!" She said with a sad frown. "Send me to Tartarus if I'm lying, but I refuse to disobey a simple order from Master!" Greed declared, stomping a hoof into the dirt. She grimaced as if expecting a lightning bolt to shoot out of the sky. /// "What?" Fluttershy asked with a shrug as the others simply sat there in shock. "Wha-how-why-HUH!?" Twilight exclaimed. You made that perfectly clear already." She replied, a touch of disappointment in her voice. "Then why in Celestia's name would you actually consider liking him!?" She turned to a yellow unicorn stallion who had been watching them with slight fear. She closed her eyes in concentration as her horn glowed bright orange. "Yes...come to mama." Her eyes snapped open and lost focus as they glowed their own shade of bright yellow. She shook her head and it all stopped. "Um...what did you just do to that poor stallion?" Lust asked, pointing towards the unicorn who had now collapsed onto the ground. "I took his magic." Greed said quite bluntly. She grinned. "I can definitely face Twilight SNARKLE now!" Pride snickered. "Is that the best you can come up with?" The unciorn blushed. "Well, she has a very nice name!" She slammed a hoof into her mouth, slammed her face into the ground, and kicked her hindlegs against the dirt wildly. She could've easily being mistaken for a yellow featherless ostrich. She lifted her head from the ground and began to walk towards the library they all knew Magic stayed in. "Are you done with the little freak-out?" Envy asked, trotting beside Greed. She gave the earth pony a sharp hiss before continuing. "What's up with her?" Gluttony asked, tilting her head to the side in confusion. "What's wrong with all of us, the elements." Envy answered, watching the unicorn now gallop towards the library. "In her case, it's Magic." Gluttony blinked. "Ooooohhh!" She said with a smile. "Greed has a crush! Greed has a crush!" She cried out in a sing-song voice. "We already knew that, Gluttony." The blue mare let out a long aw of disappointment. /// "I dunno, I thought the pegasi were kind of cute..." "You are still very gray, and while I love that color, I'm afraid I must brighten you up a bit." "Why!? We'd be just as dangerous when dull!" One of the pegasi said, flaring his wings in anger. "Oh, it's not about strength or deadliness. It's about being accepted into the community! You can't just walk into a town filled with pastel colored equines when you look like that! You must look...like you fit in." Discord then tapped one of his eagle claws against the stallion's head. As if he was being un-discorded, bright colors flowed into his coat. His coat became red as blood, and his mane of dried blood. His eyes flashed yellow, and Discord smiled. "There. I name you Wrath." Wrath scowled at his new bright colors. While he loved the red, he still liked grey much more. Discord then moved on to the other pegasus. The stallion's coat became a dark lavender, and his mane a navy blue. His purple eyes sparked with excitement at the new colors. They weren't grey, but he liked them. "I name you Pride." Pride grinned proudly at his new title, puffing out his chest to show his confidence. Discord moved on to the unicorns. The one that was shaped after Rarity, now labeled Lust, was a smooth peach color, accompanied by sapphire blue eyes and a magenta mane. The one shaped after Twilight Sparkle, now labeled Greed, was a very light tan, had olive green eyes, and a purple mane. He then moved on to the Earth Ponies. The one shaped after Pinkie Pie, now labeled Gluttony, was a sharp blue, and had a bright violet mane that hung over her pink eyes. The one shaped after Applejack, now labeled Envy, was lime green, had turquoise eyes, and a dark green mane that hung off the side of her head. Discord smiled at his creations. "I grant each of you a power that you can use at will...most of you anyway." He pointed to Greed. "I grant you with..." He brought his lion paw to his chin. "The ability to steal ponies' magic." His face flattened in annoyance. "Yes, I know it's unoriginal." He frowned at an empty space, as if somepony was there. "But please, people! What do you expect me to grant her with? She's greed!" He then pointed to Pride. "I grant you with the ability to duplicate yourself." The pegasus puffed out his chest. "Just more of me to admire!" He said with a smug grin. Discord then pointed to Envy. "I grant you with the ability to copy others' forms and abilities, such as flight and magic." Envy smiled. "They will envy me!" Discord chuckled at the words before pointing to Wrath. "I grant you with super-strength." He then pointed to Lust. "I grant you with a siren song. Stallions will worship your every step when you sing it." Lust's eyes sparkled. "Really? EVERY step?" Discord nodded. He then pointed to the last pony, Gluttony. "And I grant you with the ability to eat practically anything." Gluttony squeed at this news. "Eeee! Oh my gosh! So COOL!" She happily bounced around in a circle. Discord laughed. "Yes, yes. Now, go my minions! Destroy the elements of harmony, and bring Celestia to me ALIVE!" He laughed maniacally before his lungs ruined it by making him cough. He awkwardly continued laughing before his little sins disappeared in a flash. /// "I still feel out of place. Look at all these ponies! There's a bright pink one right over there!" Wrath pointed to a pink earth pony with a dark pink mane that was happily bouncing through town. "You idiot," Greed smacked Wrath on the back of the head. "That's the element of Laughter! We're supposed to go after her!" Wrath opened his mouth to speak but was cut off by Gluttony. "Whee, let's go!" Wrath scowled as the sins left him to follow the pink mare. "I don't get a say in this?" He yelled, flaring his wings. Greed turned back with a smirk. "Don't need to, you heard what the master said!" She then walked beside the others and disappeared over the horizon. Wrath grumbled. "Stupid...freaking...sins...leaving me behind..." He stormed off in the opposite direction of his siblings, eyes glazed over with hatred. /// Wrath sat on a random bench in the park. He found that he liked being alone. It was the only way he wouldn't get mad. He didn't like being mad. It bothered him to no end. He was Wrath, the Element of Wrath, he should take joy in being angry! "Are you okay?" He looked up to see a pale yellow mare with a concerned expression. "Why!? You think I'm-" He stopped mid-sentence. He couldn't help but stare at her. She was...beautiful. "I-I'm sorry if I angered you, I-I was j-just worried that s-something was wrong a-and..." She stuffed her head in her pink mane. "...I'm babbling." Wrath showed a hint of a smile. A SMILE. "No, it's...it's fine." He then recognized the mare. Element of kindness. He was shaped from her. Now it made sense. Why he found that he couldn't help but stare, why he didn't like being angry, why he liked being alone. She was shy and kind. "I overreacted. You're the element of kindness, correct?" He just had to make sure. "Um, yes...why?" Wrath frowned in disappointment. He was the complete opposite of her. He stood up with a scowl. "Wrath my PLOT!" He shouted, before storming off. Fluttershy stood still in front of the bench, not understanding what happened. "Wait, WRATH!?" She quickly ran off with no further explanation. /// "WHAT!?" Greed smacked Wrath across the face. "How COULD you!?" "I didn't have a choice! Something kept me back!" Lust's face dropped. "Uh oh." All of the sins turned to the unicorn in curiosity. "Well, it's just...I'm a natural expert on these things and...well, I think Wrath is...how shall I say...in love?" Wrath growled. "How DARE you suggest such a thing!?" He grabbed her neck with his wings and glared at her through glazed eyes. She shuddered with fear. "Well, it's just that I'm an expert and-" "Expert MY PLOT!" He then dropped her to the ground, sighing in defeat. "I can't do it. I don't want to be angry. I don't LIKE being angry." All of the sins gasped. "Bu-but you're WRATH!" Greed said, holding out a hoof to prove a point. "Yeah! You just HAD to be the one to fall in love?" Envy shouted, eyes glowing green. "It's not like I wanted to! Love isn't just something you can CHOOSE to fall into!" Lust coughed awkwardly. "You don't count!" He yelled, turning to her. "Wrath, what are we going to tell daddy?" Gluttony asked curiously. As if on cue a bellowing voice came from a nearby stream. "Tell me what?" It asked, eager to get its answer. The sins all gathered around the pond to find that Discord's face had appeared in the water. "That Wrath is-" Greed was cut off by Lust's hoof over her mouth. "Don't worry about her, Master! She's delusional! Probably from not getting enough bits!" Greed ripped her hoof from her snout with her magic, which glowed the same bright orange that was in Discord's eyes. "What are you talking about!? Wrath just told us-" Gluttony joined in on the fun, and wrapped her hooves around Greed's snout. "Lust is right, Daddy! She just needs to go steal something, that's all!" Discord eyed them cautiously, and nodded his head. "Yes, I suppose you are correct. Wreaking havoc will do nicely for your instincts." He glared at them. "But if you don't deal with the elements within a month I will be VERY disappointed in you!" The sins all nodded. "Yes, master!" They said simultaneously while Gluttony threw in a "yes Daddy!" Discord's reflection then rippled away. "Why would you tell Master about Wrath's little crush?" Lust asked Greed, true shock on her face.
Chapter 2: His coping skill"What?" Lust gave a disappointed frown. "How could you? You don't even care about him! Don't you know how important love is?" Greed gave her an unamused look. "No. Master didn't put lovey-dovey things in our programming if you would call it that." Lust rolled her eyes. "Hello? I'm LUST! I know all about love!" She took a proud pose to show her point, though it didn't really make one. "Wrath is in it, you know nothing about it, it is a precious thing, it shouldn't be tossed away because you master tells you to do it, and Master would agree!" Lust slapped her hooves over her mouth as if she had just told a secret on accident. "What are you saying?" Greed asked, curiously inspecting Lust's frightened look. "I bet I can guess!" Pride shouted with glee. "Shut up Pride!" Wrath yelled, pulling the floating pegasus back to the ground. "I-I wasn't supposed to...say...he just...you know, so I could..." Lust sighed in defeat. "Master implanted his experience of love into my head so I would know what it's like. I am Lust after all!" She said innocently. "He's going to kill me for this..." She whimpered. "Wait, wait, wait, wait! Master was in LOVE!?" Greed stood slackjawed while Gluttony bounced around her happily. "Ooh! I wonder who it was!" She shouted with pure glee. Lust cleared her throat. "I'm sure that whoever it was is none of your concern." She smiled mischievously. "Though, I can tell you that she was quite a sight." Pride laughed. "What, you mean Master put THAT in your head too?" He collapsed onto the floor in laughter, a few seconds afterwards Envy chuckled a bit. "Yeah, I definitely don't envy you on THAT note!" She giggled a little more before they were interrupted by a loud crack. "Are you done giggling like little fillies?" Wrath asked, a noticeable crack in the pavement below his hoof. "Yes, I do believe we were talking about WRATH!" Greed stated, giving the two a hard glare. "Hey, don't drag me back into this!" He shouted. "Well you were the whole reason this even came up! You AND Kindness!" "S-Shut up!" Wrath stuttered. "Just because Lust thinks I'm in love doesn't mean I am!" "Um..." The sins all turned in unison to see Fluttershy along with the other elements. "Ha! Good luck talking your way out of this one, Wrath!" Pride said with a smirk. /// "Let me clarify that it isn't what it sounds like." Wrath said with an innocent smile. Twilight gave him an angry glare. "Yeah, I'm sure it isn't." She growled. "So...hear any weird news lately?" Greed asked with a smug grin. Twilight Sparkle frowned at her. "Yeah, though I'm sure you already know." She said, eyeing Greed's build. "I would say 'nice to meet you', but considering who you are..." Greed gave her a good natured laugh "Please, it's an honor to meet you...Magic." She said, now puposefully mocking the element bearer. "My name is Twilight Sparkle. I hope you'll use it from now on." She said with strained calmness. "Are these those freaky sin ponies ya'll been talking 'bout?" Applejack asked, looking curiously at Envy. "Yes they are, Applejack. Each one made specifically for each of us." Twilight frowned at Greed. "Purposefully made to be our worst enemy." Greed chuckled. "Enemy's a little harsh, don't you think? I prefer to call it...a sibling rivalry." She rolled her eyes. "But you wouldn't know a thing about sibling rivalries, would you Twily?" "Don't drag Shining Armor into this!" She growled. "Oh, right. You two don't talk much anymore, do you?" Greed happily left the argument, confident that she had won. "It's better than having a mix-and-match creature be the only thing to call dad!" Greed stopped in her tracks. She turned around with a hiss, her eyes glowing yellow. "You leave Master out of this!" Rainbow Dash fell over in a heap of giggles. "Ha, ha, ha! Master? You guys call him MASTER!?" She pounded her fists at the ground in uncontrollable laughter. "Oh, CELESTIA! That's RICH!" Rarity soon joined her, if only with light giggles. Soon all five of Twilight's friends were laughing at the almost impossible innuendo. "You shut your traps or I'll rip them off!" Wrath growled, eyes glazed over once again in anger. Every single one immediately stopped. His eyes soon returned to normal, and he desperately rubbed them as if they would turn him into a monster. "You know, Wrath...you could form an alliance." Lust whispered in his ear. He grunted and pushed her mouth away from his head. "I'm not in the mood Lust!" Twilight's five friends soon started giggling again. Wrath growled, desperately clamping his ears to his head to block out the noise. He whined and whimpered as if in pain. He couldn't take it. He couldn't get angry again. He needed to disappear. He needed to get away from everything. He needed to be alone. He squirmed under his hooves, knowing he was about to pop. That's when it hit him. "Think about Kindness, think about Kindness..." He whispered to himself. He didn't get angry when he saw her face. It was like his rage was gone and it would never come back. He wanted that to last forever. He didn't want to get mad ever again. "Wrath? Are you okay?" His eyes shot open and he realized that the elements were gone. Had it been that long? He looked up. "Pride?" The stallion stood beside his fellow sins who all wore concerned looks. "Yeah, you started smiling and flapping your wings so we got worried." Wrath blushed. Maybe he had gotten a tad carried away. "I'm fine. I just learned a new coping skill." Pride's jaw dropped. "What!? Coping skill!?" Wrath sighed, he felt like he was about to cry. "I don't want to be angry, Pride. I want to be nice, calm, and gentle." He sighed dreamily without realizing it. "Like Kindness." He said with a goofy smile. Pride blinked a few times before turning to Lust. "You were right, he's goo-goo for Kindness." She smiled triumphantly while Greed growled in anger. "This is terrible! How are we going to carry out master's plan if Wrath's all goo-goo eyes for an element bearer? Kindness no less!" She said, nervously pacing in a circle. "Do you have something AGAINST Kindness!?" Wrath growled, eyes starting to glaze over. "Of course I do! She's an element bearer! Master's worst enemy! We're not supposed to fall head over hooves for them!" Greed's cheeks started to grow flushed as she continued her outburst. "I mean, they're supposed to be our worst enemies for Havoc's sake! And if we fall for them then Master's plan would be ruined! And he said himself that he would be VERY disappointed! So I have to do everything in my power to keep from-" Greed stopped abruptly. They were all staring at her. "I mean, not that...I..." She awkwardly cleared her throat. "Anyway..."
Chapter 3: Second chances"Really? Magic?" Lust fell over giggling. "Yeah, talk about a love/hate relationship." Pride said, nudging Greed with his elbow. "S-shut up! It's only because I was shaped from her! Didn't any of you feel a spark?" She asked with the slight hint of a desperate tone in her voice. Pride paused. He was quickly mimicked by the others, and most of them grew blushes. Envy cleared her throat awkwardly and Pride scratched his neck in thought. "I guess she was kind of hot." He said, still rubbing his neck. Lust groaned. "Why must it be so?" She wondered out loud. "Ha! Now you can't blame me!" Wrath shouted with joy. "Now you ALL know how it feels!" He laughed maniacally before awkwardly coming to an abrupt stop when he saw them glaring at him. "I mean, hooray! Now you know how it feels!" "At least we didn't act upon it!" Greed growled, scrunching her face against his. "Please, I could see that tail flick." Wrath said with a smirk. Greed pulled away with an intense blush. "I-I...I didn't do it on purpose." She mumbled, covering her face with an arm to hide the crimson blush on her cheeks. Though, everypony could see it creep up to her ears. "Well, then that settles it. We are not prepared to take on this mission." Lust said with an affirmative nod. "Yeah," Gluttony agreed. "We can't destroy the elements if we like them!" She said with a sad frown. "Send me to Tartarus if I'm lying, but I refuse to disobey a simple order from Master!" Greed declared, stomping a hoof into the dirt. She grimaced as if expecting a lightning bolt to shoot out of the sky. /// "What?" Fluttershy asked with a shrug as the others simply sat there in shock. "Wha-how-why-HUH!?" Twilight exclaimed. Rarity dragged her hoof across the wooden floor of the library. "Well, he was rather cute if you can ignore that little...outburst of his." She admitted. "Aw, I'm sure he's just a little rough around the edges, that's all." Fluttershy said with a sweet smile. "Fluttershy, you do realize that these ponies were made specifically to DESTROY us don't you?" Twilight asked just to make sure her friend wasn't delirious. "Of course I do, Twilight! You made that perfectly clear already." She replied, a touch of disappointment in her voice. "Then why in Celestia's name would you actually consider liking him!?" Fluttershy shifted her gaze to the floor. "I...don't know." The others exchanged confused looks. Twilight rubbed her temples in frustration. /// Greed rubbed her temples in frustration. "How many times do I have to tell you, we came here to DESTROY them! Not to soak in their love!" She yelled. Pride rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah. You made that clear already, how many more times are you gonna say it before you're satisfied?" He asked, stretching his wings. "As many times as it takes you to-" She stopped abruptly. "I've got it!" "Got what, sis?" Gluttony asked, bouncing up and down on a random ball. "We could act like we've turned over a new leaf! We stay with the elements until we've earned their trust, and BAM! We obliterate them!" She squealed with joy. "It's the perfect plan!" The others simply exchanged curious glances. "I don't know..." Wrath muttered. Greed frowned. "Weren't you the one who fell in love first?" She bit her lip. "Not that I'm in love!" She sighed in defeat. "Forget it, I'll never win." The others giggled at their sibling's misfortune. "Yeah, but I never planned on acting upon it." He said, sticking out his tongue in Greed's direction. "Shut up! That's not the only reason I came up with this-" She stopped. "That's not why I came up with this plan!" Wrath chuckled as the laughter grew louder. "Oh Greed, I don't blame you for being so flustered." Lust said with a smile, wrapping an arm around her fellow sin's neck. "I too know what it's like to be in love!" "Because Master put it in your head?" Lust quickly pulled away from the yellow unicorn. "Um, yes. Yes, that is what I meant." She looked to the side to avoid eye contact, making the other sins laugh. "Oh...if only my song worked on mares." Greed's eyes snapped open. "Of COURSE! Our powers! I totally forgot about them!" She turned to a yellow unicorn stallion who had been watching them with slight fear. She closed her eyes in concentration as her horn glowed bright orange. "Yes...come to mama." Her eyes snapped open and lost focus as they glowed their own shade of bright yellow. She shook her head and it all stopped. "Um...what did you just do to that poor stallion?" Lust asked, pointing towards the unicorn who had now collapsed onto the ground. "I took his magic." Greed said quite bluntly. She grinned. "I can definitely face Twilight SNARKLE now!" Pride snickered. "Is that the best you can come up with?" The unciorn blushed. "Well, she has a very nice name!" She slammed a hoof into her mouth, slammed her face into the ground, and kicked her hindlegs against the dirt wildly. She could've easily being mistaken for a yellow featherless ostrich. She lifted her head from the ground and began to walk towards the library they all knew Magic stayed in. "Are you done with the little freak-out?" Envy asked, trotting beside Greed. She gave the earth pony a sharp hiss before continuing. "What's up with her?" Gluttony asked, tilting her head to the side in confusion. "What's wrong with all of us, the elements." Envy answered, watching the unicorn now gallop towards the library. "In her case, it's Magic." Gluttony blinked. "Ooooohhh!" She said with a smile. "Greed has a crush! Greed has a crush!" She cried out in a sing-song voice. "We already knew that, Gluttony." The blue mare let out a long aw of disappointment. /// "I dunno, I thought the pegasi were kind of cute..." Rainbow Dash admitted, not picking out a particular one. "What?" Twilight gave her a flat look like she just made the 'why did the chicken cross the road' joke. "Sheesh! I was just saying!" Rarity scratched her leg in silence. "Well, you have to admit that there's something different about them, Twilight." She said with an awkward smile. "You could say that again! Discord MADE them! Didn't you girls pay attention to my specific description of my dream?" She huffed and turned around. "Of course we did, Twi." AJ said. "Most of us anyway..." Dash grumbled. "We're just saying ya'll should give 'em a chance!" She continued, holding her hat to her chest. The others nodded in agreement. Twilight looked back. "I guess I could give them a chance..." Fluttershy quickly grabbed Twilight in a hug. "Oh, thank you Twilight! I just know he'll be different on the inside!" She enthused, squeezing her friend rather tightly. "Okay...Flutter....SHY...but...I meant...all...of them." The butter pegasus let go of her friend with an innocent look on her face. "Um, oops." She said with a blush. "Twilight Sparkle, I challenge you to a duel!" Twilight groaned at the words. "I'm really not in the best of moods to-" She froze when she saw the cocky looking unicorn in her doorway. "GREED!?" "The one and only. Now, what were you saying?" Twilight's eye twitched and spasmed. "Bu-I-you-why?" Oh, she was going to regret this. "I wanted to see you in action!" She declared with a grin. "Um, thanks...I think?" Greed blushed. "Urgh! Why does my brain always do that!?" She smacked the side of her head and groaned. "I hate this..." "Whatever for?" Lust asked, walking up beside her fellow sin. "Love is a wondrous thing!" Greed smacked her with a sharp hiss. "You idiot! The elements are right there!" Lust coughed awkwardly before smiling. "Oh! Yes, of course. Hello my dear Generosity, what a pleasure it is to meet you!" She exclaimed with a bit too much enthusiasm. "Whoa, the elements are actually here!? Move it peachy!" Pride shouted, pushing Lust to the side. "Excuse me!?" The lavender stallion was already too close to Rainbow Dash to give a darn. "Why hello, I do believe you are Loyalty." He said with a smooth voice. A little too smooth for Dash's liking. "What the hay is going on here?" She asked, turning to Twilight. The unicorn just shrugged and leapt back when she saw Greed directly in front of her. "What IS going on here?" She asked, slightly uncomfortable from Greed's sudden close proximity. She chuckled at the question. "Why I'm surprised you don't know." She said with a snicker. "Wasn't it in the dream? Did CELESTIA not include those details for your 'well-being'?" Twilight's face contorted with confusion. "My well-being? What do you mean?" Lust fell over laughing for no apparent reason. "Oh...that's too rich... Greed! The elements were just talking about us!" All of the mares were shocked. "How-how did you know that!?" Rarity asked, slowly scooting away from Lust. "I'm Lust! I jus know!" Rarity gulped nervously, though nopony knew why. Of course, it wasn't long before everypony knew. "Really...?" Lust asked curiously with a grin. Rarity looked back and forth desperately. "I...uh...Fluttershy was the one who pointed it out!" She said, desperately waving her hoof in Fluttershy's direction. The mare looked up in shock. "Rarity! Did you just-" "Oh, I'm barely interested in her." Lust said. "I know what she's thinking." Fluttershy's brand new blush grew as red as Wrath's coat. "Come on, Lust! Cut it out! It's no fun when you spoil everything!" Wrath said angrily, wings flared out in what was perhaps anger. "Fine, though I don't see why you want to wait sooo long to find out." She calmly walked away from Rarity, letting the ivory mare fall limp to the floor. "I still didn't get an answer..." Pride cooed before he was dragged away by his ear by Greed. "Come on, let's go!" "Wait!" Everypony froze, including Greed. A tingle went down her spine. "Why are you leaving?" Twilight asked, genuine confusion in her voice. Greed coughed awkwardly. "I thought you didn't like us." She said, turning around to face her 'worst enemy'. "Did something change?" Twilight blushed. "Uh...yeah, a little bit." Lust giggled, making Greed growl. "What did Wrath say about spoilers!?" Lust quickly shut her mouth. "Can...can you stay? I was planning on giving you guys a second chance." Twilight explained, nervously rubbing her foreleg. "YES!" Greed quickly put a hoof over her mouth. "A second chance would be nice." She said with a small nervous giggle.
