This is the story about many things. Friendship. Conception of good and evil. Surviving the reality of harsh wasteland. But mainly about new beginnings. Direct Hit is a slaver. At least was one, until one fateful night, which changed everything. Now his only friend is an earth pony, who not so long ago was his slave, going under a nickname Tally-Ho.
Somehow, Direct knows that it's not his real name, but, hell, it ain't like he wants to know. He's got worse problems now, like trying to survive in a wasteland, where everyone is his enemy, due to the slaver past and his betrayal. Will he survive? Will he find his redemption? Or, more important, will he be able to find out how to begin again?

Prologue

The beginnings are hard. Beginning to write a book. Beginning a work after weekend. And, of course, beginning a new life. To be honest, I never wanted a new life. I kinda liked to be a slaver. It was easy job, hunting weak ponies and selling them to Red Eye for ton of caps. I guess that's why i still don't know how to start the new life that was given to me... Goddesses, what did I do to You, besides selling Your little ponies? I mean, it's bad, okay, but not that bad! I was saving them from wasteland, one could say!

Uhh, well, anyway. I guess i should tell you about myself. Name's Direct Hit. I'm a unicorn, 28 years old, single... What? Okay, okay, jeez. Was a slaver, as you probably already know. And no, i don't believe in the shit people talk about good and bad. No one in the Wasteland is saint, even the so called Stable Dweller or Security. Hah, I can even bet that they are even less saint than me. At least at the moment. Ah, I forgot: I am an enemy to probably everything alive and thinking in this Wasteland. No scratch that, let's say just alive, and some not longer among the living. Some people remember me from my slaver past, some hold a grudge against me because i betrayed the slaver's life, and some just don't care and want to beat me to fuckin' paste. Anyway, let's go with the story.
