For the Benefit of Scootaloo
“You’re really too good to me Fluttershy. You know I’ve waited my whole life for someone to be there for me the way you do; holding my hand each day of the year. Making me feel like I’ve been born for a reason, as if my was, now, and forever were all formulated so we could share just a few perfect moments with eachother.”
“I know how you feel Twilight…” Fluttershy said, staring star eyed at her best friend in the world, “I-I wanna spend my life with you, you know; cuddling, talking, and eating. I-I don’t ever wanna see you go; never, not even for a second. Please always be there for me.”
Breathing a bit heavier now, the girl leaned in to draw her lips upon her friend’s forehead, “Fluttershy, you know I always will.”
“You-uh…” Fluttershy smiled. Her face lit up with a shade of red that got progressively hotter and hotter. Her arms wrapped around her friend’s neck, she leaned her looked upwards at her friend.
Closing their eyes, the aligned their lips and kissed, smashing the puckered flesh against each other. Slowly, the two’s tongues entered each other’s mouths as they formulated incomprehensible moans.
Suddenly, the two became touchier. Fluttershy started grinding her sprawled legs into the front of Twilght’s skirt. Twilight meanwhile rubbed her hands up and down Fluttershy’s sides, pulling her naked body close to her own.
As the two were enticed with each other, the sound of a stopping car and sights of flashing lights came through the room’s windows. Catching the attention of the couple, they immediately broke up their hug. Fluttershy hopped over the couch to cover her diaper with a pair of pajama pants that Twilight bought, along with another white t-shirt she’d bought earlier.
Twilight waited patiently at the door waiting for the words she was expecting. Almost perfectly on time, the knock on the door was followed by,
“It’s the police, you’re not in trouble. We just really need to talk to you Ma’am.”
Confused, Twilight shrugged as Fluttershy grabbed her shoulder. Obviously the police were hear with a mission at mind.
“Y-Yes officer?” Twilight meekly answered, opening the door.
An officer dressed in his proper black vest took off his hat, “Oh my, you’re Majesty…” He said bowing. Standing back, he held his hat over his heart, “A thousand pardons. My name is Flash Sentry. I’m here to deliver someone rather important to Fluttershy.”
Fluttershy peaked head from the side of Twilight’s shoulder and waved, “Oh… yoo-hoo!” she said stepping out fully, “W-who is it? Is it Rainbow Dash? I heard she stumbled out of here angrily this morning. S-she isn’t hasn’t been arrested or something has she?”
Flash took off his glasses and gave Fluttershy a rather serious sigh. He rubbed his temple before calming himself, “Well… Rainbow Dash jumped the gun in moving. Earlier today, I got a report from my department talking about a possible case of domestic disturbance.”
“Oh my! Did Rainbow get into a fight?” the timid girl asked, nervously stroking her mane with her hands.
Flash shook his head, “No. From what we’ve picked up from the letter she left, Rainbow Dash hopped on the nearest charter over to Ireland. Well, specifically Belfast. She took everything she could carry. All her jewelry was gone, all the electronics, even a good part of her wardrobe.”
Fluttershy closed her eyes a few seconds before looking up at the police officer, “W-why are you telling me this?”
“Well…” Flash said avoiding eye contact with the girl, “S-she has a dependent you know? A young one…”
“Y-you’re tell that-“ The timid girl said, covering her mouth.
Flash nodded, looking into the Fluttershy’s eyes, “You’re her legal guardian in Rainbow’s absence. Not to mention with the counts of neglect Rainbow has amounted by now, Celestia’s United Kingdom is obligated to put her in the care of a better guardian. I mean after all, you do have several years’ experience, working at a daycare center, right?” Flash rubbed the head of a girl that was holding onto his pants leg.
“Yes. So y-you’re telling me that-“the girl tried saying again.
Flash nodded more aggressively, “Yes, Fluttershy…” Flash said kneeling down next to the child, “Scootaloo is now your child…”
Fluttershy kneeled down in front of Flash and Scootaloo. Her worried eyes met with the child’s as it ran towards her for a hug. Instinctively, Fluttershy picked up the small child, cradling her in her arms.
Twilight stared slack-jawed at the scene in front of her.
“If you need anything, feel free to give me a call. Uh… your Highness!” Flash said, tipping his hat before walking back towards the police cruiser.
Fluttershy held the girl in her arms, no older than 6, Scootaloo held unto Fluttershy for dear life.
“Oh my…” Twilight said, looking at Fluttershy worried, “I-I didn’t know your were her godmother. H-how are you sweetie?” she said, walking up to the shaky child.
Scootaloo closed her eyes and planted her head against Fluttershy’s flat chest. Keenly observant, Fluttershy picked up on Scootaloo’s outfit and body.
Scootaloo was covered from head to toe in small scars, certainly the act of her ‘stunts’. Her slender limbs covered up by an orange t-shirt and black blue running shorts. Her little feet covered by a pair of blue converses. She looked stressed, almost like she’d been crying.
‘It’d be best to just comfort her for now’ Fluttershy thought to herself.
“It’s alright baby…” The timid girl said, bouncing the girl up and down in her arms, “You have two mommies now…” she planted a kiss on the young girl’s forehead. Looking into Scootaloo’s magenta eyes, she they smiled, “and I promise, they’ll never leave you alright?”
Scootaloo didn’t say a word, strange as was such an independent girl whenever they were with Rainbow Dash. The way she was acting now was different a bit… ‘Clingy’. It’s probably just been a rough day for her.
Nervously, Twilight started moving things around in the background; carrying random bags into their separate locations. Making sure that everything got to where it needed to be. The bags away, she closed the nursery’s door, and ran up to Fluttershy who was still rocking the poor girl.
“So…” the studious girl in the said, patting her girlfriend’s back, “Our baby girl…” she smiled, “This’ll be interesting, now won’t it?”
****
Twilight patted her friend’s back… “Now this’ll be fun, now won’t it?”
“Hehe, I guess so…” Fluttershy rocked Scootaloo in her arms. The actual weight of a child felt weird to her. It wasn’t the same as lifting a heavy object, or even a stuffed animal. Scootaloo was a real, thinking human being and she was warm.
Scootaloo looked up at Fluttershy, still teary eyed. The small adult cooed at her, “Why hai Scootaloo, aren’t you just such a cutie?” she said, booping her on the nose.
Rubbing her face with both hands, the child smirked, “Fluttershy, I’m not a baby…” she rubbed her face again, “That also kinda hurt.”
“Oh, sorry about that. Uh, Twily!” the timid girl yelled, trying to get the attention of her friend. This situation was new. What was even worse is it was abrupt. It hadn’t even occurred to her yet; the responsibility of a child is a serious one.
Twilight turned her attention back towards Fluttershy, “Oh, sorry Flutters. I was just making sure everything was tidy. Um… you can probably set Scootaloo down you know? Actually, hand her to me!”
Listening to her friend, Fluttershy handed her new ‘daughter’ to Twilight. Scootaloo fidgeted around a bit, but it was most likely because she hadn’t been held in so long. Her former caretaker Rainbow would have never been around, being a R.A.F pilot and all.
Carefully, Twilight accepted the child. Being careful not to leak any unwanted information, Twilight gestured for Fluttershy to listen to her, “Psst. Fluttershy, go into the nursery and change into something more appropriate We can talk about diapers and stuff later if you’d like, but I think Scootaloo would really just like to sit down for a moment.”
While Fluttershy ran off to the nursery, the other two took some time to relax on the couch.
“So…” Twilight joined her knees together, only to cover them up with her hands. “Do you wanna get comfy? It’s alright if you wanna unwind a bit!” It was obvious Twilight was nervous, she hated making first impressions; especially with someone as impressionable as a child.
“I-I guess…” the young child said, kicking off her little shoes. She wiped her face again, a dried tear in her eye. With a half smile on her face, she look over at her caretaker, “Thanks for letting me stay the night or whatever.”
“No problem hun. I’m sorry that Rainbow flew the country like that. None of us could have stopped her.” The princess looked around the room, trying to clear the air, “So, how long had you lived with Dashie?”
“8 months…” Scootaloo said, lifting her legs on the couch and crawling over to Twilight, “She adopted me on my 6th birthday, but she hasn’t been around since.”
“She hasn’t been around period?”
“No…” Scootaloo said, sitting near Twilight, “She just hasn’t been around much since. I had a babysitter named Binky while she was gone. Rainbow was gone 6 out of the 8 months.”
Twilight smiled, wrapping an arm around the girl, “Well, be proud that she served the R.A.F well Scootaloo. I don’t know quite why she left you like that, I’m just glad you’re safe is all.”
“What are you doing here anyway?” Scootaloo asked, curiously.
The girl’s eyes lit up as she realized Scootaloo was only a child. Even in a society where lesbian couples are common place, most children adherently know of cisgender couples.
“Fluttershy and I love each other very much; enough so, that I might be thinking about doing a first as a member of the royal family. Don’t question it dear; just know that we love each other very much!”
From down the other side of the room, a loud *clicking* noise could be heard. Awkwardly, Fluttershy stumbled out of the doorway, locked it, and ran down the hall; eventually finding herself a place on the couch.
Panting, the exhausted girl settled herself, “Hah-hah-um… What have you two been talking about?”
“Just how much Twily loves you I guess?”
“Is that so?” Fluttershy said, flashing a grin and wink at her girlfriend. Swinging her legs playfully off the couch, Fluttershy waved a hand to get the attention of her new daughter.
“Scootaloo, I was just thinking about some stuff in my other room. I was thinking that if you’re going to be living with Twilight and I, that you could uh- call us ‘mommy’ or maybe ‘mom’? I-I dunno. It’s just a suggestion- you know? If you want to.”
The young girl started to giggle, “Hehe, I’ve never had a mommy before.” She said, crawling eagerly to Fluttershy’s side of the couch.
“Is that so?” Fluttershy said patting her lap. She waited for Scootaloo to crawl on to it, before helping her steady herself, “Didn’t Rainbow let you call her ‘Mommy’?”
“No, she thought it was too ‘girly’.” Scootaloo frowned.
Twilight smirked, “That sounds about right.”
Fluttershy got busy brushing her hands through her new daughter’s hair. It was weird; Scootaloo’s hair was so dirty, like it hadn’t been washed in a really long time.
“Well Scootaloo, you’re welcome to call us that if you really want to; I know it might take some time to warm up a bit in this cozy little cottage. I just wish I had a place for you to stay; my accommodations are pretty uh… ‘limited’.”
“Wadda you mean?” Scootaloo asked, subliminally biting the tip of her thumb.
“Well…” Fluttershy shifted her hands, to pat the girl’s back, “I’m kinda tight on space. See downstairs I have this living room, the kitchen/dining, the utility room, bathroom, uh- ‘special room’, and the veranda.”
“And?” Scootaloo asked, tiliting her head to the side before striking a curious glare at the stairs behind the couch.
Fluttershy swallowed hard. She wasn’t sure how she was going to deliver the news to the young girl. Taking a deep breath, Fluttershy smiled, “Upstairs, we have a bathroom, my room, a guest bedroom, and the nursery room I use to babysit in…”
Twilight raised her eye brow, “Well, what’s the problem?”
“Just fellow me…” Fluttershy said, picking up the child in her arms and walking towards the upstairs floor. All of a sudden, a bizarre yet familiar smell hit Fluttershy’s nose. It wasn’t terrible smelling, but it was defiantly off put.
Scootaloo awkwardly shifted a bit, nuzzling her head against Fluttershy’s shoulder.
Approaching the spare guest bedroom, Fluttershy opened the door. The room itself was bland. All that hung on the walls were a few temperate color paintings, on top of some dusty red walls. The floors were hard wood, the majority of the floor space being taken up by a king sized bed and a dresser.
Fluttershy looked at Twilight, “The problem with this room is it’s a bit… ‘underwhelming’. Don’t you think Scootaloo?”
“What’s that mean?” Scootaloo asked, looking around at the bland room.
“It means boring basically. You wouldn’t have much to do.”
“Ooh!” Scootaloo nodded. It was true; the room looked dreadfully dull.
Twilight walked towards the other remaining room, “So, what’s this room then?”
Giggling, the small girl shut the door, “That’s the bathroom silly!” She said stepping past it and her own bedroom, arriving at the mystery ‘nursery room’.
“Alright Scootaloo, I won’t pressure you to do this. But I think you’ll like this room, despite it being a bit ‘young’ for your age.”
Her words said, Fluttershy opened the mystery room’s door. Inside, the room was rather bright and vibrant despite the darkness outside.
The room’s overall design was made for a real baby. The walls covered from base to ceiling in a jungle based design of friendly looking African and Western animals. The floors were all covered in dark creamy brown shag carpeting.
The most surprising part was the furniture. Everything was made for a toddler and there was a lot of it. Slandered with any nursery of course was the dark brown crib and matching brown and white changing table.
Some of the more obscure things were the multicolored bits of entertainment that seemed to share the base infantilism with the rest of the room. There was a plastic white baby swing with a light pink cushioning and everything. Not to mention the baby walker and high chair which seemed to share the same animal design the room’s walls did.
On the far side of the nursery by the window. A large colorful foam-rubber play mat was sectioned off by a mesh playpen fence. Inside of the area was a large baby bouncer and a wide area of books and toys suitable for babies.
“Whadda you think?” Fluttershy asked curiously.
“I-I don’t…” The young girl said, looking up confused at Fluttershy.
Fluttershy frowned, “Do you not like it? I know you’re getting to be a big girl, but you’re small enough for most of it.”
Scootaloo shook her head, “I-It’s not that, w-what is all that stuff?”
Twilight’s eyes went wide, “What do you mean Scoots?”
“I-I haven’t ever seen stuff like that.” the small child said, blushing.
Smiling warmly, Fluttershy blushed her hand through the child’s hair, “I won’t lie to you Scootaloo, that room was designed for girls younger than you. But don’t worry; I know you’re a big girl on the inside.”
“C-can I play with it?” the girl asked, curiously, “Y-you won’t make fun of me will you? R-rainbow wouldn’t ever let me do things that were for babies. She said they’re ‘un-cool’ and other kids would make fun of me if I did them, even if I couldn’t help it!”
Twilight smirked, “You can play all you want in there Scootaloo. You’re just a little girl, afterall!”
The young girl’s frown slowly turned into a smile as she looked into Twilight’s eyes, “O-o.k! Thanks Twi-I mean, thanks Mommy!”
“Hehe, no problem. Now if you want, you could have some pizza downstairs? Are you hungry?”
Scootaloo nodded, tugging on Fluttershy’s shirt, “Can I? Can I?”
“Mmmhmm…” Fluttershy said, setting the child down. Smiling, she looked down at the child, “You know we got pizza down stairs. How bout’ you go it what’s left alright?” Fluttershy said, sending Scootaloo off with a small swat to her back.
Twilight raised an eyebrow, “Are you sure Scootaloo should- you know? Be playing with all that baby stuff? Won’t that kinda phase her?”
“I don’t think so, I had to play with my baby toy until I was eight or so too!” Fluttershy said, half paying attention to her friend and half making a mental note of food she’d need to buy from the grocery store. She didn’t really have much kid food, perhaps Scootaloo would be alright with juice and oatmeal for now.”
“Well, that explains a lot! Maybe you should just have her sleep with us until we get can redesign a more age appropriate room for her?” Twilight said as her and her girlfriend trailed down the stairs.
Walking over to the couch, Fluttershy noticed that Scootaloo had already scarfed down the pizza; messily at that.
“Awe Scootaloo.” She said, taking a seat next to the child, “You got stains all over your shirt and face. Wait, did you drop the pizza too?” she said, looking down at a red stain on the carpet.
Weakily making eye contact with her new mommy, Scootaloo started looking flustered. It was almost like she couldn’t help it, “I-I’m sorry, R-rainbow never cared if I- sorry!”
Giggling, Fluttershy gave the most sincere smile at her daughter, “It’s alright honey. Just toss it in the box; I can always get you something else to eat.”
Scootaloo nodded, still a bit embarrassed that she dropped her food. It was awful clumsy of her, more so than usual.
Fluttershy turned her attention to her girlfriend, and brought Scootaloo into her lap, “Mmm, Scootaloo. You know you’re awful small for five year old.”
“Four year old- I mean six year old! Also, am not!” the child interrupted, crossing her arms and pouting.
Glaring, Twilight looked at Scootaloo. The child was pretty small, her hands, feet, and everything. It was almost certainly a case of malnutrition, poor thing.
“Listen, if you haven’t noticed. Scootaloo could use some help keeping clean, her hair is a mess and she really smells odd despite looking decently clean. The only clothes we have that’ll fit her are baby clothes. Not to mention, she’s obviously lacking basic motor skills.”
The young child listened indignantly to her new mommy’s words on her. More flustered now than ever, she stood up and whimpered, “I’m not a baby!”
The timid mommy nodded her head, “I know Scootaloo. I guess I’m just being a little bit over protective. Bear with me, I do work with a lot of helpless animals and such.” She looked at her daughter; he knees were a bit shaky and she seemed to be fidgeting a lot.
A little light popped in Fluttershy’s head as she realized what it was, “Um, Scootaloo. Can I talk to you privately in your new room. Think it’d be best if we talk about some stuff.”
“Alright…”
With that, Fluttershy picked the child up in a cradle. Her arms provided a steady rocking motion that got Scootaloo to rest easy for a few seconds. She knew that her parents knew what she did, it made her blush.
“I’ll be back in ten minutes, alright Twilight? I gotta make sure Scootaloo has privacy while she does it. Actually, I outta just let her clean in the bathroom first. I'll be in the nursery if you need me“
“Gotcha! Be sure you find out what’s going on.”
The small women nodded at her friend before heading upstairs again. It was serial for her really. Scootaloo seemed clueless to what had happened, almost like she was used to it. That was scariest part of all.
“Well…” Twilight sang, clapping her hands together. It’d been a while since she’d been alone. She picked up the pizza box and all the other remaining stuff, making sure to return everything to wear it belongs.
Things felt weird now, everything felt weird. Here she was just an hour ago, trying to romance her girlfriend, and now they have a child to look after.
It wasn’t so terrible to her; she’d taken care of Fluttershy for so long. That’s not even to mention how long she took care of Spike. But Scootaloo, well she was a unique child. Just by looking at her, you can tell that she doesn’t look happy or healthy.
The girl face palmed herself, ‘Why hadn’t Rainbow Dash taken care of her? Why’d she even bother adopting a child out of pity? Rainbow knew she couldn’t be there for Scootaloo, why’d she even care?’
Dejected, Twilight plopped down on the couch. Scootaloo was Fluttershy and Hers responsibility now. No, she was their daughter. No matter what that child does from now on, it’s up to them to comfort and help her grow as much as possible.
After all, if she and Fluttershy do stay together, Scootaloo will be her heir.
The girl’s eyes opened wide, “Scootaloo is my heir” she said under her breath.
“I’ll be right outside if you need anything, Scootaloo!” A voice rang down the halls, before the sound of a door shutting.
Alarmed by the noise, Twilight jogged up stairs to talk to her friend. Her eyes met with Fluttershy’s confused expression.
“Twily, what are you doing?”
Twilight blushed, “Uh, I just wanted to see what’s up. Is Scootaloo alright? She is isn’t she?”
“Yeah she’s alright, just a bit flustered is all…” Fluttershy whispered, making sure not to speak too loudly, “She told me she was having some potty issues for a while now. Rainbow seemed to shrug off her accidents and her foster parents would just spank her.”
“Oh… how come she’s flustered? You didn’t put her in diapers did you?”
Fluttershy shook her head, “No, no, no! I gave her pair of trainer panties though. I figure if she can make it to the bathroom, she is just a bit ‘premature’ afterall. She’ll grow out of it.”
“That still doesn’t explain why she’s Flustered.”
The timid girl sighed, “Uh- just look for yourself…”
Curious to find out what was going on, Twilight walked to the nursery door and opened it. She mouth cracked a grin as she saw her daughter wearing a set of footie pajamas.
“Shut up!” the child said, covering her face.
“Awe Sweetie…” Twilight said, walking over to the girl, “There’s no need to feel embarrassed. I had worn blanket sleepers to bed until I was about was your age too.”
“But you’re an egg head.” She said pouting.
Twilight giggled, “Maybe so…” she said picking up Scootaloo, “But that doesn’t change the fact that it'll keep you all snug and warm. Come on, how about I get you something to drink before bed, alright?”
The child’s heated expression cooled down as her mother held her tight to her chest, “That sounds nice.”
“I thought you’d say so. I think Fluttershy might even have cookies or something…” Twilight said, walking out the room and looking at her girlfriend, “You do have cookies, don’t you?”
Fluttershy nodded, “They’re a little bit old, but yeah. Sorry. Remind me to grab Scootaloo some more appropriate food at the grocery store, alright?”
As Twilight carried Scootaloo to the couch area, Fluttershy busied herself with preparing a snack for Scootaloo. Honestly, this would probably just upset her stomach more, but it’s better than starving she guessed.
Her hand wrapped around the cold chrome fridge handle as she tugged the door open. She noticed a cold bottle of milk, or maybe it was formula. She grabbed it, taking it over to the counter space, where she poured it into a cup.
She closed her eyes, she really hopped Scootaloo was used to drinking from actual cups. She probably did, but she’d bet dollars to donuts if Scootaloo could actually hold the cup properly with her small hands.
Reluctantly, Fluttershy grabbed two cookies and walked over to the couch area. Her daughter still in the arms of her girlfriend, she handed Scootaloo one of the cookies.
“I hope you like them; they’re a little bit old. But I baked them a while back…”

For the Benefit of Scootaloo
Twilight calmed her knee. She was rather busy bouncing Scootaloo, the child did enjoy it after all, but Scootaloo could barely handle eating food while sitting still.
The two’s child spared no time in munching down on her cookie, she was a quick eater. Perhaps she was just hungry; thankfully she didn’t get anything but a few crumbs on her chest.
Being careful not to spill the milk herself, Fluttershy carefully handed her daughter the small plastic cup.
“Now Scootaloo, please be careful dear. I don’t wanna- oh dear.”
Scootaloo tilted the cup back up straight, “W-what?” she said, looking down. She could feel the milk seething through the soft material of the footie pajamas and against her thigh.
“Oh, yuck… I-I’m sorry I spilt it Fluttershy…”
“It’s quite alright… really…” the timid girl looked at Twilight, “I think we outta call it a night while we’re still ahead, alright? I don’t want to keep her up all night. She should sleep pretty calmly in the crib you know? It’s awful comfy!”
“Is it?” Scootaloo asked, grabbing the other cookie and taking a bite of it. It was kind of crunchy, but soft enough to chew. Her teeth were covered with the bitter-sweet chocolate chips.
Fluttershy shut her eyes a few seconds, ‘why did this have to be so stressful’ she thought to herself. It wasn’t even the first time she’d taken care of a child, Scootaloo was just so… ‘dysfunctional’, or maybe she was just being too judgmental of her.
Acting carefully, she helped Scootaloo take a few sips of the milk before taking it away.
“Sorry I had to help you there Scoots. I just didn’t want you dealing with the smell of spoiled milk…” she said, sitting up and walking away from the couch, “You know what? How about you sleep with Twily and I tonight? Maybe I’ll tell you a little story or something? We could even turn on the tele in my room and you could fall asleep to watching them…”
“That sounds delightful!” the young child’s voice lit up a bit.
“Glad to hear it Scoots…” The timid mommy said, walking back into the room. Reaching her arms out, she had Twilght hand her Scootaloo. She couldn’t help but smile a little bit, Scootaloo did look adorable in her footie pajamas. Too bad her hair and everything were still dirty though.
“Come on Twilight, I think it’d be best if we got Scootaloo ready for bed alright? I really would like to get some shut eye too you know?”
“Go ahead without me…” Twilight said, lying back on the couch, “I kinda just need to think things out, alright?”
“Oh, alright…” Fluttershy said stumbling awkwardly up the steps, “Scoots and I’ll just be in our room alright? I-I’ll see you later I guess?” ‘That sounds off for Twilight, even in a situation like this one. She always looks for her friend’s help… weird.’
“Yeah, later!” Twilight dead paned. She waited some ten minutes to move out of her spot on the couch, ‘do I really want to- no.’ she corrected her thoughts.
Frowning, she picked up her jeans. Reaching into her back pocket, she pulled out a metallic black device.
“Yes, this is Ms. Sparkle … I-I need an escort back to my manor…”
***
“Hehe! My girl!” Fluttershy said, ticking her child up and down her sides, “whose a little cutie?
“Haha! Fluttershy! Stop! I’m not ticklish!” Scootaloo said, kicking her tiny legs with all her meager strength. It was obvious she wouldn’t win, even against someone as small as Fluttershy.
Fluttershy retracted her hands before hugging her child close, nuzzling her own cheek against her daughter’s.
“Oh, Scootaloo! You are so! I just thought I’d get you smiling before we settle down a little. Come on, hop in next to mommy!” Fluttershy said, crawling over to the pillow side of the bed and pulling up the covers.
The young child crawled right beside her mommy and gave her a big hug around the waist, “Mmm… you smell nice mommy.”
“Thanks Scootaloo…” Fluttershy said pulling the blanket over them. The blanket was really a comforter; a very poofy one at that.
Between the insulation of the covers and the warmth of Fluttershy, the young girls metabolism started to fail her as she closed her weary eyes. It’d been so long she was cuddled, it felt great.
“You haven’t been held like this in a while have you?” Fluttershy asked, petting her daughter’s back. Scootaloo didn’t recognize it, but she could feel the tension in her back being alleviated; she became less ‘posed’ in her hug.”
The mother continued stroking her daughters tense back, it’d been so long she felt like she was being the mother. After all, Twilight and her had been roleplaying for such a long time. So much had happened since then. They were moving so fast, and yet… holding Scootaloo made everything catch up to her. ‘Had it caught up to Twilight too?’
She shewed away the thought as she stretched her arm out to shut off her bedroom’s light. Perhaps it’s better if she not think about but snuggling right now. She did have a beautiful young daughter who has really been through a lot today.
“Goodnight Baby…” Fluttershy yawned, pulling her daughter in with both arms, pressing the child against her flat chest. She wished she had bigger boobs, it’d probably feel better for Scootaloo…
******
There was a tickle on the young girl’s nose. She raised her hand to itch it only to wake herself up. Yawning, she nuzzled her head against Fluttershy’s chest, “Mommy! Get up! Can we play?”
Fluttershy’s opened wide open, “Huh-? Oh yeah, sorry I’m used to saying- never mind…” Fluttershy said sitting up. She rubbed her eyes as she looked around the room, it was kind of a dark day.
Looking around the room, Fluttershy gasped.
‘Twilight never came in last night’ she thought to herself, ‘Maybe Twilight just stayed up later than they did? Or maybe this was all just my anxiety making me think so poorly of her. Whatever, I still have a child to look after’.
“Hai Scootaloo…” Fluttershy said, walking up to her daughter, “Are you still dry?”
Scootaloo blushed, nodding the way a child does when they’re trying to fib the truth.
Fluttershy instantly knew the look on Scootaloo’s face; she’d seen children before. She reached her hand out and pulled down zipper of the footie pajamas, revealing her skinny half naked daughter under all her clothes.
Smiling, she covered her mouth, “Awe, poor baby. You don’t even know you had an accident, maybe we outta get you changed into something different before you have another one!”
“No!” Scootaloo said, hopping out of her footie pajamas and sitting on the bed, “I don’t wanna!”
Fluttershy smiled, picking up her daughter, “Awe, poor baby. We had our agreement yesterday and you clearly broke it. I told you, you were allowed to use the potty if you needed to after all.”
Scootaloo watched in horror as she was carried into her nursery. Her mother locked the door behind her, before walking towards the changing table.
Fluttershy kept a warm smile as she set her child down, “Now I know this is a new experience for you, but I don’t want you worrying about the potty any more. Clearly you just haven’t learned it well enough and It’s important that you get a fresh start with potty training and everything.”
Frowning, the child nodded. They went over everything the previous day. She knew this would happen. Following the instructions of her mommy, she lifted her legs in the air.
Fluttershy grabbed Scootaloo’s damp panties by the hem and pulled them down. There wasn’t a hint of Judgment in her eyes as she went through the cleaning process. She was the girl’s mother now; hopefully she was still one of two…
“I’m sorry if it any of this feels cold or something, I can’t let you get an infection…” she said, powdering the girl back and front. She smiled reaching down below her to grab a puffy white undergarment.
“I-I’m wearing real baby diapers?” Scootaloo said, clicking her knees together.
Lift the girl’s bottom up a little, Fluttershy slid it underneath her. Making the process last no longer than it needed to be, she taped it around Scootaloo’s waist, “There you go baby. Does it feel comfy?”
“Something like that…” Scootaloo said, jabbing the front of the diaper. It felt weightless around her whole bottom, yet it seemed to obscure everything her touch from everything around her. Giggling a bit, she sat up, “So, Fluttershy. Could I have a shirt? I don’t wanna be naked in front of Twilight. You I trust, I just um… yeah.”
Fluttershy nodded. Walking over to the sticker plastered wooden dresser, she pulled out several various t-shirts which all depicted a similar design to one another. Eventually, she found a t-shirt that seemed well sized enough.
“Haha! I hope you like it!” she said, helping to get it over her daughter’s head.
The text seemed to confuse the girl. She knew the shirt was blue, two types of blue to be exact. But she couldn’t quite make out the text. ‘What is d-a-d-d-y-s’ she thought to herself, trying to trace the word with her index finger.
“Mommy, what do these letters say?”
“Oh…” Fluttershy walked over to the girl. She pulled the shirt out and read the text to her child, making sure she could figure out every letter before identifying the word as a whole.
“It says, ‘d-ah-dee’. Daddy’s little boy to be exact. I know you’re not a boy, but it was the first shirt I found. Most kids your size that I babysit well... most of those kids wear dresses or other things. It doesn’t matter, its best we head down stairs alright?”
Scootaloo nodded and let her mommy pick her up. She hated to admit it, but she liked being held. It made her feel so… the word wouldn’t come to her head.
Fluttershy braced herself, something in the way Twilight spoke last night seemed off. She was hoping she didn’t know right, but she really didn’t want to believe it. But making her way, all the way down stairs, her suspicions were proven.
Twilight left.

“Mommy?” Scootaloo asked, tugging on Fluttershy’s shirt, “Is something wrong?”
Fluttershy looked around the room, her eyes scanning for any detail of her friend’s disappearance. She wanted to panic and yell for her friend, but she really didn’t want to upset Scootaloo. Maybe if Fluttershy didn’t appear worried, she could lie.
“Mommy! A letter!” the child said, pointing her finger at the table.
The women’s heart jumped as she saw the piece of paper too. She sat her child on the couch, making sure to place her gently. Grabbing the letter, she picked it up and read it despertly like desperate dog trying to claw his way through a door.
‘Dear Fluttershy,
This past week has been the best one of my life. I can’t help but feel I’m making a mistake, but I have a responsibility to this nation, just like Rainbow Dash did. I can’t mother such a helpless child like Scootaloo, I know I nurtured you, but that was different. I knew all along that you had a hidden potential, even as my baby girl.
Scootaloo on the other hand, well she’s really not… she’s ‘special’. Bringing a same sex couple to the royal throne is one thing, but leaving such an irresponsible heir would put her and our kingdom in danger; at least from a diplomatic standpoint.
I hate that I have to do this! I’m so sorry! I can’t tell you how much I’m sobbing as I write this, but I hear you and Scootaloo laughing and I just… I know you’re not alone Fluttershy, you don’t need me, you never needed me! You don’t know how strong you are, you’re all you need Fluttershy… hold onto your daughter… hold her the same way I held you.
I wish I could hold onto you forever Fluttershy, I love you. ~ Twily <3
White hot blood rushed through Fluttershy’s blood as she clenched the letter in her hands. The scars on her stomach seemed to burn into the skin, like the letter was salt being poured on her opened wombs. She swallowed awkwardly as she pulled Scootaloo into a hug, “I’m so sorry- I-I- just hold onto me!”
“Momma?” the child asked, confused about the reaction from her mommy, “I-it’s alright… y-you’re not mad are you?”
Fluttershy shook her head, “No S-Scootaloo, I’m just going through some stuff…” she leaned back in the chair, holding her daughter close to her chest. She stroked her hand down the girl’s back slowly, over and over again.
The child frowned, squeezing her mommy tight. Her tiny hands, weakly grabbed the sides of her mom’s shirt. For whatever reason, Fluttershy was upset and that made her upset.
Fluttershy inhaled deeply, the natural smell of her daughter’s dirty hair was a bit soothing to her. Instinctively, she ran her fingers through Scootaloo’s messy orange hair.
“My baby…” she said, calming down. She struck a hopeful look into her daughter’s magenta eyes… they looked just like Rainbow’s. She nodded, “You are my baby now, oh!” She hugged her daughter, resting her forehead on Scootaloo’s, “Listen, we’re going to get you fed alright? Want me to make you some pancakes before I give you a bath? You’d like that wouldn’t you?”
Scootaloo smiled, still following the emotions of her mommy. She nodded her head, grinning a bit.
“That a girl…” Fluttershy said, letting her daughter on the couch. She walked into the hallway, pulling something out of the closet; it was a baby bouncer with a vibrant array of colors and toys in both the interior and exterior.
Scootaloo peaked her head over the couch, “W-what is that?”
Fluttershy took the large piece of furniture and pulled it into the living room. She dusted off the piece of furniture; it’d been so long since she last had a baby to use it, and well… Scootaloo could and would use it. It would be good for her after all, it gives her the benefit of balance all while the tray of toys around her gave her increased tracking skills.
“It’s perfect isn’t it?” She said as she rolled the play-thing infront of her daughter.
Scootaloo got up out of her seat and walked up to the mysterious device. It was like nothing she’d seen before. Pressed a few notes on a colorful keyboard, to the surprise that they not only lit up, but also made different sounds.
Smiling, she experimented with several other toys on the outer tray that surrounded the plush cradle seat. It was like something she hadn't seen before; it was so colorful and enticing.
“Hehe, like it baby?” Fluttershy asked, picking her daughter up and setting her in the bouncer’s seat.
Scootaloo nodded. She really wasn’t paying attention to anything but the object’s surround toys. The child also noticed how the thing allowed her to bounce up and down in her seat; there must have been a spring in the thing’s legs.
The child started giggling, enjoying the subtle pleasure of discovering what each one of her bouncers and individual toys did.
“Alright baby…” Scootaloo’s Mommy said, turning on the T.V, “I’ll have your pancakes down in 15 minutes. I locked the wheels to the walker, so if you need me just give me a call.”
Fluttershy went into the kitchen and started her work on her and her daughter’s meal. She kept herself in a passive state, one where she could pretend that her girlfriend didn’t just leave her; she mixed the batter.
Whisking the liquid around in her mixing bowl, she looked over the kitchen counters and at her child playing with her toy in the living room
Scootaloo seemed like such a curious little girl, always experimenting with things she know she shouldn’t; perhaps that’s why she was so passive about being diapered. Then again, she might also not understand what being in real diapers actually implies.
It was bizarre to her; Rainbow Dash had never mentioned anything about Scootaloo’s accidents before. ‘Maybe there was something more to Scootaloo.’ The Fluttershy thought to herself.
She poured the batter unto the heated pan and began her works, making sure each of the pancakes was just the right amount of golden brown.
After several minutes of preparation, the meal was completed and Fluttershy was left with one last responsibility; ‘what do I put her drink in?’ Fluttershy thought sorting through all the cabinets, making sure she checked all her available cups. She could have sworn she had more sippy cups, but apparently not.
Fluttershy delivered the meal of pancakes to the nearby dining room table. She cut up the pancakes, allowing her daughter a few more minutes to experiment with some of her toys.
“Up you go Scoots!” Fluttershy said, picking her daughter up and taking her to the dining room. Scootaloo was obviously too small to eat properly at the dining room table and there was a perfectly good highchair from the week’s prior events.
“A-a highchair?” Scootaloo asked, curious of her mother’s thinking. She was a kid, not a baby. Highchairs were actually made for babies; she didn’t want to be a baby.
Against her will, Scootaloo was set in the chair and had the tray dropped over her lap. Pouting, she watched as her mommy strapped her against the chair.
“Comfy?” Fluttershy asked setting nothing but a plate of pancakes with lot of syrup on the try.
Scootaloo looked at Fluttershy. ‘How was she supposed to eat? Was Fluttershy going to feed me?’ she thought to herself. She was about to ask, but she had to prove she was independent. Grabbing one of the pancake slices with her bare hands, she sloppily picked it up and shoved it in her mouth.
Fluttershy smiled, forking some of her own pancakes into her mouth. Scootaloo looked so proud eating all by herself. It was funny to look at, ‘looks like someone’s going to have a sticky little shirt!’ she thought to herself as her daughter dripped more and more syrup on her outfit and diaper.
After several minutes of munching away on her their breakfast, the two were full. Neither Fluttershy nor Scootaloo managed to finish their full move.
Scootaloo looked around at the mess she made. Blotches of syrup coated her highchair’s white plastic. Thankfully the things soft pink padded remained untouched. Still, it was embarrassing; this was an even bigger mess than the milk yesterday.
“I-I’m sorry momma…” she said, cowering into the padding that surrounded her.
The small women stood up and gave her daughter a sympathetique smile. Helping Scootaloo out of the seat, she cooed, “Awe baby! You’re so silly! Come on, I’ll give you a bottle after a bath. We need to clean some little cutie up…”
Author's Note
Perhaps it's just the mentality of humanized stories, but this has somehow become my most controversial story to date. I do have plans on making more pony based stories in the future.
I do feel like some people who read this story might not have "Fluttercrinkle: The Remake" which is a bit concerning because if they hadn't, the implied relationship in the first chapter would seemed a bit tacked on. Of course now the story starts getting to the point where the shock of taking care of Scootaloo is over and the three have to make fixed stances in their life.
That being said, the next chapter will be out in about (5-7) days! ~England ^-^
