A wandering mare, seeking an escape from her lonely and painful past, finds herself in a town called Ponyville. While taking a quick rest, she finds herself being approached by a strange pink pony who, in turn, introduces her to the rest of her friends, who all welcome her with open arms. With friends by her side, and a deep rooted love sprouting within her, the mare sets out to resolve the troubles of her past and adjust to her new life in Ponyville. Drama, hilarity, and other hijinks ensue along the way.
