Emotional Bonds

Chapter 1: introduction

Garrett

I sit in the cafeteria scowling at everyone despising their happy demeanor, I'm not gonna change that I just hate it. I look around again I see a girl with blue dyed hair some girls walk over to her.

“Oh look blue girl is sitting alone again.” one of the girls taunt.

“Yeah doesn't she have friends?” another girl in the group says. The group then laughs. I get up and walk over.

“Don't rich pricks like you have other things to do. I mean let’s see you could have a life and bowl or cheer. none of you have any life you have money you can enjoy. Go enjoy it you pricks.” I say hate leaking in my voice.

“Well why don't you pull off those glasses of yours then loser I bet everyone wants to see what hater boy looks like under those.” the leader say after faltering over what to say.

“Fine.” I say no emotion in my voice making me sound dead. I take off my glasses showing my black irises no color in my eyes besides the white.

“Freak, fine stay with your girlfriend.” The leader says walking away. I'm about to walk away again before the girl stops me.

“Thank you but what made you stand up for me you hate everyone.” the girl says looking confused I can now see her eyes are a gray blue like rain.

“I don’t hate everyone I just have a general hate so you can leave now.” I say as I walk away putting my glasses back on.

“Why don’t you let people near you?” she asks curiously.

“Did you not see my eyes look at the irises all that’s there is black my friends left me to be popular I became nerdy and slightly insane guess what the friends that exist in my head no matter how annoying are nice to me and are my friends and I don’t trust humans as I’ve started calling normal people.” I say emotion disappearing from my voice.

“Why do you sound dead all the time?” she asks.

“Why are you asking all these questions?” I ask back.

RRRIIIIIINNNNGGG!!!

“There’s the bell goodbye.” I say before moving on to my next class.

Josh

I’m walking down the hall I see one of the kids that keeps calling me names and messing with me. He sees me and smirks.

“Hey shadow boy any evil spirits following you around today.” He says before he and his friends laugh.

“Leave me the fuck alone I don’t want to deal with you right now.” I say sounding fairly reasonable.

“Oh and why would we do that it’s so much fun to do things like this.” He says before swinging his fist at me. I step aside easily and punch him in the gut. He hunches forward in pain, which I use to hit his head with my elbow causing him to fall on the floor. I then kick him his arms with my favorite pair of shoes that have metal plates on the tips, giving me a satisfying crack. He screams in pain as I flip his body over using his arms. I put one of my feet on his chest

“You gonna leave me alone now?” I say smiling evilly holding him dawn with my boot.

“Yeyeyeye…. Yes I’ll leave you alone.” He finally stutters out through the pain and fear, and to think this all happened cause he tried to punch me in the face. He then runs away.

“Now anyone else want to try that? No? Good.” I say smiling evilly before walking away down the hall to my next class.

“Look get out of my way I’m willing to take another kid to the ground.” I say spitefully.

“Whatever just leave me alone afterwards I have enough to deal with.” The girl says she had black hair, night blue eyes, and skin that resembled the color of the stars.

“I’m fine with this agreement good-bye.” I say walking away semi-intimidated by the amount of despair and depression rolling off her.

Mathew

I was walking down the hall to science when Sarah walks up to me.

“Hello.” She said sounding more sad than usual.

“What happened?” I ask concerned.

“Those girls where making fun of me again.” She says frowning at the floor.

“They’re usele-“I start to say.

“We both know that they way of talking makes it worse besides the one Garrett kid stopped them.” She said a small smile on her face.

“I think I like this kid how’d he do it?” I ask smiling.

“Pulled off his glasses his eyes are pitch black well besides the whites.” She says lifting up her head peering off into space. Yep definitely like this kid got to meet him sometime.

“I think I like this kid.” I say aloud smiling.

“That can be a bad thing he hates people in general he calls other people humans, also he believes he has some form of insanity something about the friends in his head, don’t know what he means by that.” She says thoughtfully.

“Oh well here’s science.” I say walking in. I look around and the first thing I see is a kid with glasses he looks over sees Sarah. I walk over to him.

“Go away and take the girl with you I have no reason to deal with you humans.” He says still scowling hate moving around him like a misty cloud. I look around and there’s no one around him within a five foot circle at least. Then something clicked glasses calling me humans he’s garrett.

“Hmm Garrett-” As soon as I say his name he removes his glasses and look at me all the other kids in the class get away leaving me to wonder what the hell is going on.

“My name is not Garrett got that second off do you believe in magic also do you believe in undeath because I do I study both okay and I’m close to succeeding do not test me.” He says before walking to the window and jumping out the entire class look out the window only to see him riding a giant raven.

“I think I like that kid I believe in undeath except more of like undead spirits in the form of shadows.” Says a kid right next to me.

“Who are you?” I ask looking at him confused.

“That right now doesn’t matter we need to retrieve the other good Sorrow is already here.” He says looking at Sarah.

“Hey that’s my friend your-“ I start to say my rage building.

“Shut it rage you’ll understand later, and Spite you could’ve made it sound less insulting.” Says a girl walking up behind me.

“What’s going on?!” I half yell.

“Look we’re taking you to the goddess which I have only recently been informed of so just bring sorrow and follow us.” Says the boy grabbing my arm and trying to pull me away like my little brother does. I decide in my confused stupor just to follow him he lets go and lets me follow of my own accord.

Venesa

My life sucks. I think in my head I turn another corner to run into that kid again. Great.

“Awesome I found you come on we need to catch up with hate.” He says as he gets back up.

“Fine whatever.” I say as I start to follow. As I follow I feel for their emotions. I see fire burning around the tannish kid which usually represents rage. The pale one that was having me follow him was surrounded in a pointy black aura meaning spite. The girl with blue hair was surrounded in a dark blue water droplet meaning sorrow or sadness. The other girl with electric blue hair was surrounded in black lightning meaning dark instincts hunting fighting protecting were some of the things that emotion was. I look at my own emotion the black mist rolling off of me, depression. I look around and find that we’re in a field I look forward and see a woman with dragonfly wings walking on air towards us.

“Hello young ones.” She says looking at us. The tan boy just looked dumbfounded. The electric blue haired girl smirks. The regular blue hair girl looks sad and happy at the same time causing her raindrop to glow slightly. The pale gray kid looks scared like he just saw a ghost. I just look on not caring.

“Where are Hate, Fear, and Emptiness?” She asks confused.

“Hate took off on his giant raven thing, and we haven't found fear and emptiness.” She says as she finishes a dark aura appears coating everything in darkness causing me to flinch the only other on to notice is the goddess lady.

“Emptiness is here.” I say nonchalantly looking at the dark emotion.

“Yep I’m here.” He says walking up his hair is black his skin white his eyes empty.

“Are you-“ ‘Spite’ starts to ask.

“Nope not blind. Now goddess how about you summon hate and fear.” The boy says. The goddess  snaps her finger and a girl with black hair with gray ripples is lying on the ground snoring she then bolts upwards accompanied with a quick scream.

“Well not in hell where am I?” she asks suddenly looking at the people staring at her. The goddess snaps her fingers again and a boy appears with bone white skin black hair glowing black eyes and four skeletons with him.

“Stupid goddess interrupting my explanation to my mom now I’m gonna get grounded.” He mumbles.

“HOLY SHIT.” The tan boy yells.

“Well now that the eight emotions are here let’s introduce ourselves.” The goddess say showing a fake smile.

“Save it I know that’s a fake smile. Call me Josh.” Says the boy that was giving off Spite.

"Venesa." I say simply.

"Sarah." The girl of sorrow says.

"Korangar." The boy surrounded by the undead says.

"I thought your name was-" the tan boy starts to say before the skelotens surround him claws ready to attack.

"Do not call me Garrett, undead don't hurt him we have a divine being infront of us so if you attack we'll be smited." Korangar says

"Fine well I'm Mathew." Says the boy surrounded by fire.

"I'm bridget." says the girl surrounded by sound waves that quivered in fear.

"Nevin." says the boy giving off the emptiness.

"And I'm Seirra." says the girl surrounded by black lightning.

"Call me Fada." says the goddess. "I'm sending you eight to learn how to use your dark emotions for good. Bye now." She says snapping her fingers causing us to fall. Into a white light.
