Robert Simmons is a man who lives in Little Rock. He has recently received his teacher's license, but everything is far from great. He lives alone in a mediocre two room apartment. His parents can't support him and he is currently shouldering a big debt carried on from his father, which he barely can afford to pay. He also suffers from slight insomnia due to stress. One autumn night he wanders off into the city to clear his head. And a meeting at a pet store brings change into his life.

The first part is more of a narrative, however several chapters will also include diary entries written by Robert.
It will also include Equestrian intermission with a third person view of one of the princesses from time to time.
