He looked very strong, so I had the feeling that he did this sort of thing all the time. He was whistling some strange, unknown tune, as he walked along. He didn't talk alot, so I figured he didn't have much to say. Then again, there was no one else around but me. He was also pretty tall for a pony, and had no horns or wings, so I knew he was an earth pony. After a while of boredom, I decided to take in my surroundings. There was a sign that said welcome to Shetland City along with many trees and flowers everywhere. As we descended along the dirt path, the wilderness slowly turned into a large city. There were shops everywhere, ponies reading the newspaper, ponies selling things, and ponies walking their pets. I was really starting to get uncomfortable with all of these ponies around me. I needed to escape. While brooding throughout this whole time, I forgot that Fuzz was in my pocket. She then stuck her head out, and gave me a mischievous grin. She stuck out one of the claws of he paw, and wiggled it b the lock. After a few minutes, the lock gave a satisfying click. I then lowered my voice, so no one would here me ( because, if I didn't then they would know I was awake, and that would ruin our escape ), and said "Fuzz, let's try to be as quiet as we can. Hop into my pocket, and I'll jump out of this thing, and if that pony doesn't hear us we'll be home free." She nodded in agreement, and hopped n my pocket, and I jumped out of the cage. Miraculously, I landed without falling, and quickly ran off. "Fuzz, I'm so excited, now we can go home!!!" It was then that I realised that I had no idea which direction home was, or how far it was. I then gave a sigh of defeat, and realized that we would have to find somewhere to stay for the night, as it was getting late, and figure something out tomorrow. We would also have to avoid ponies. There were so many ponies here, that I didn't know what to do. Then it hit me. Go to a place where no pony would want to go to. I then very cautiously looked around, then made my move. I dashed to an open alleyway between two stores, and Fuzz and I decided that would be our home for the time being. As I was about to sleep, my stomach rumbled and I realised how hungry I was, so I looked in a trash can to try and find leftover food from the stores. Unfortunately, there was nothing edible, so I told Fuzz that I would be back in a while and left to look for food. I wandered into a nearby park, where I had seen a river with clean water in it. I cupped up my hands, then drank my fill. I then realised how thirsty Fuzz must be as well, and made a small bowl out of whatever I could find in my surroundings. My life in the forest had taught me many things. I filled it up, and was about to go look for food, when I saw a pony. She was a unicorn with orange fur and a dark purple mane. By the looks of  it she was mad too. Then she saw me. After what seemed like hours of being chased, I finely escaped, and found my way back to the alley. I then went to sleep hungry, and my last thought was that my welcome to Shetland City wasn't so welcoming. //-------------------------------------------------------// introduction //-------------------------------------------------------// introduction several guards surrounded me. There was nowhere to go. I was trapped. Trapped by ponies. I frantically looked for an escape, and found one small space in between one of the guards, so I went for it. But then they caught me. They were just about to pick me up when... I woke up. Hi my name is Evan Evergreen. I am a human. Here in equestria humans are very rare, so are sought after by many ponies, to be exotic pets, perform in a circus, or live in a zoo. I was born here in the everfree forest, and have never left, except to get the supplies to make myself some clothing, in fear of being seen by ponies. When I was ten, my parents were captured by the ponies. We humans have different vocal cords than ponies, that cannot be changed by anything, so ponies can't understand us. But, our ancestors used to live beside ponies as pets, so they learned to understand them, and so they passed it from generation to generation, so all humans knew how. We have also learned to understand animals over the years, and they learned to understand us. You may be wondering how the animals could understand us, but not the ponies. Well, the answers to that are that animal voice boxes are more similar to humans, and ponies are a little similar, but they have magic that prevents them from understanding us. It simply sends waves to the brain that makes them not understand us. It also makes them think that humans aren't sentiment. The legend has it that millions of years ago, there was a very powerful alicorn named dark mist who stopped the communication between ponies with humans and animals. He used his dark magic to spread a dark mist over the minds of all the ponies, therefore stopping their ability to understand him. The legend also says that one day four brave friends will learn to conquer his magic and defeat him once and for all. The reason I feared ponies is because I feared they would take my freedom away. Anyway, it was around nine in the morning when I started my day. The first thing I did was wake up my friend Fuzz, who is a light brown rabbit with one white patch around her eye. A little fact about Fuzz, is that she is very loyal. She will stop at nothing to protect her friends. Anyway, I woke her up, and we started our regular day, which consisted of finding food, talking to our animal friends, and finally going to bed. As it was starting to get dark, I heard a noise. I went to investigate to find it was one of each race of pony. They all stared at me before the unicorn brought out something, and something hit me in the shoulder. It was some kind of dart. I then felt very sleepy, and my last thoughts were that I had been captured. Captured by them. Ponies
