Espresso Romantico?
Chapter 1
Load Full Story"Oh please, Cadence. He wasn't even paying attention to me."
"Trust me, I could see it. He was so into you." Cadence said, smirking.
It had been a while since she had seen Twilight and she had gone down to Ponyville to spend some time with her, now, sister-in-law.
"I get that you're the Princess of love and all... But not everypony needs it. I-I'm quite content with my books, thank you very much."
"Oh, Twilight, you're so cute when you try and lie," Cadence started, her smile forming, "when was the last time you got laid?"
Twilight's face blushed crimson and she looked about the nearly empty Sugarcube corner for anypony that could be listening. "Not so loud!" She whispered, embarrassed.
Cadence twirled her hair around her hoof and rose an eyebrow. She waited another few seconds for an answer and when it became clear Twilight wasn't going to fess up, she rolled her eyes and sighed, "Alright, different question... have you ever had sex?"
Twilight couldn't believe what she was hearing and looked down at the seat in between her legs, her blush refusing to leave her flushed face. "I... no..." she squeaked.
Cadance frowned for a second, "How come? You're twenty three, Gorgeous with a killer rump..." She found herself trailing off and shook her head before her attention was focused squarely on Twilight, who shrank from her gaze, "Reason, now!"
"M-my books... I was t-told to s-study..." Twilight stuttered, unsure how to continue lest she evoke more of Cadence's wrath. She didn't know why Cadence was so upset about; it was only sex. "I've never had enough time. It's only gotten worse by becoming a Princess... that's why I haven't."
Instead of laughing, like Twilight expected anypony to do, Cadence smiled and leaned forward. "Would you like to?"
Slowly, Cadence's smile changed into a grin and she indicated behind Twilight. Twilight turned around and gasped as she saw the stallion from before enter the building.
Surprised, she ducked behind the booth's wall. "With him?!" Twilight winced, hoping the stallion wouldn't hear.
"Who else, me?" Cadence laughed, "I may be a Princess, but I doubt I can grow a cock..."
Twilight stared at Cadence for a second before shaking her head, "Technically, I know some spells fo- no, I literally only saw him once, earlier."
"So?" Cadence said, "Once is better than not at all. Plus, he makes really good coffee." she found herself staring at the stallion. "You know, you rarely see a good, pure, light-blue mane nowadays. It's all neon or highlighted," Cadance wondered, examining the pony.
"Why don't you make love to him then?" Twilight said, smirking.
"Oh trust me, I would if he made me his coffee everyday..." Twilight looked shocked before Cadance turned back to her and rolled her eyes. "Relax, 'Twi, I was only joking. I love Shiny more than anything. Also, there's a difference."
"To what?" Twilight asked, looking back to see the green coated stallion waiting for his food.
"Between making love and pure, animalistic, rutting..." Cadance grinned. She watched as Twilight looked over once more, then shook her head. "If you don't ask, I will..."
"Huh..." Twilight asked, spinning back to Cadance, "Oh no... my estrus doesn't start for another two months, I wouldn't be in the mood anyway."
"Oh Please, you know better than anypony that there's spells for that."
Twilight gulped; there were. "Okay, maybe there are a few, but that doesn't mean I can just go up and ask for s-sex..."
"Of course you can; who would turn you down?" Cadance took a good look at Twilight then nodded. "I certainly wouldn't."
"Cadance, please, I don't need those images."
Cadance giggled as she rose from her chair. Leaning in as she walked past, she whispered, "No, you need something real."
"W-wait, where are you-" Twilight cut herself off by burying her face in her hooves to muffle her cry of embarrassment. She took them away and watched with horror as Cadance strutted up to the Coffee pony and started talking with him.
The pony in question didn't look fazed, or confused. He looked "Cool"; like this happens all the time. This only confused Twilight and she wanted to know why he wasn't walking away. After another half a minute, she snapped and rushed over to find the stallion and Cadance laughing.
Cadance recovered first and smiled, "Oh yeah, this is Twilight."
The stallion held out his hoof, smiling and said, "Hey Twilight, I'm Coffee Bean."
"P-pleasure..." Twilight said, gripping his hoof, then blushed as he turned it over and kissed hers on the back.
"Well, I see you two have hit it off, I can go now..." Cadance muttered before walking towards the door. She stopped just before leaving, turned around and said, "Twi, I'll be round Rarity's for a bit."
Twilight nodded absentmindedly and released Coffee's hoof. "Uh, we should sit," she said, motioning for the boof she was sitting in before."
The two moved over and sat down awkwardly. Well, awkward for Twilight, not so much for Coffee.
He asked, "So... what do you do around town, other than beat up giant monsters?"
Twilight stared at him, her mind coming up with a blank before she remembered, "Oh yeah, Tirek... Um... Not much I guess, I look after the Library and generally look after the town from monsters and other stuff like that." She looked down before realising, "Of course it's not just me, I have my friends as well, they are a part of it..."
Coffee stuck a hoof out, "Hey, don't worry, I know that stuff. I was more on about your personal life... let's start with hobbies?"
Twilight nodded, "Hobbies... yeah, alright." She spent a few seconds formulating her answer. "Well, I read, a lot. I spend most of my time between friends and others in the town, whoever needs a helping hoof really... I sometimes volunteer at the hospital a couple nights a week..."
"Wow... that's, full..." Coffee said, his eyebrows raised.
Twilight smiled, "It sure is. What about you, what's your hobbies?"
Coffee scratched the back of his head, "I spend my time between hanging out with friends, working and on my own. If I'm on my own I paint wildlife. I wouldn't say I'm good, but it's relaxing."
"That sounds lovely," Twilight said, smiling as she imagine the sorts of animals he could paint fro what she had seen at Fluttershy's.
"I'm glad you think so," Coffee mumbled before looking at the time. "Shoot, I got to go back to work!" He shot up and was about to rush off before he stopped and took a breath. "Miss Twilight, Princess. Would you like to go on a proper date with me sometime, in the future, maybe... If you'd li-"
He was cut off by a peck on the cheek by Twilight, "Of course. Now get to work before you get shouted at..." She had a grin and her eyes sparkled.
"Y-yeah..." Coffee stood there for a few more seconds, his mind entranced. He was shook out of it by Twilight slowly pushing him to the door.
"Quickly, I don't want to explain why you were late to your boss!"
"Right, should I go to the library soon so we can set a date for the date?" Coffee asked, turning around to face Twilight.
She nodded, "Uh-huh, come round tomorrow and we'll see about it."
Coffee grinned and galloped off towards his work, leaving Twilight to shake with excitement on the step of Sugarcube corner. She was going to have her first ever date...
