Emerald Blaze was fasinated by the royal guard brigade and decided to join them, along the way he makes only one friend in the whole squad, Shining Armor. After years of training Shining was promoted to captain of the royal guard and moved Emerald to one of the princesses personal guards with her allowing it of course. But tradity falls during the Summer Sun Celebration in Ponyville where the princess goes missing and is replaced by the fabled legend, Nightmare Moon. In his searches he joins six mares to find the princess. But will relationships grow stronger between any of them, or will Emerald stay cold to everypony exept Shining Armor?
