Mental Shock on the TARDIS
"Warlock?!" Three ponies shouted at once. "Doctor?!" They coughed, one of them stumbled in to something.
"Hold one girls, We're on our way!" There was a clamoring of hooves.
"I can't move..." I say through pained lungs. My muzzle soaked in blood I had cough up just a moment ago.
A shaking, perhaps vibrating, no a better word for it was lagging. A lagging hoof changing from white, to grey, to lavender, and back again moved some rubble from my face. I saw three Sonic-screwdrivers pointing at me. More specifically the mechanical leg I forgot I had.
"What? You look like you never saw a pony with robot bits before." My chest heaves as my damaged leg sparks and grinds on itself.
"How could a time-pony loose a limb without regenerating?" I herd three mares ask at once.
"I don't regenerate... Now isn't a good time for this." A clawed paw as large as a pony is tall burst in from the TARDIS's door as if to emphasize my point. I could feel regeneration energy passing through me. "Heh... First time for everything I suppose... Somepony uncover my busted leg." Once free I unlatch it with my teeth, and hobble towards the open door.
"What are you doing?" One of the Doctors asked.
"Just a stupid idea... I'm going to regenerate in the time stream..." The golden glow of Huon particles surround me.
"But you just said tha-"
"That I don't regenerate. I know. I don't regenerate because I've always had a great doctor, excellent engineer, and lots of friends that needed it more. But now they're gone." I step out into the time stream and remember what brought me to this point. Every life I had saved. Every one I took. Every life I gave to somepony I cared for. I drifted there just remembering and listening to the ambient drumming of time. The drumming became voices. The voices became words. The words became sentences. And those sentences became memories.
"Warlock? Mental that's as silly a name as that Doctor fellow from last week's dream." I open my eyes to see a good friend of mine (and just about all of Ponyville) sitting on a chair in Sugar Cube Corner. We were apparently talking about our dreams for the future then. Her's as usual was to keep being the best party pony in Equestria. I let myself fade into the memory, and just follow the string of events. The blue and gold comet that was me and the TARDIS streaking through the time stream seemed to slow down as a large, crimson, demon diamond dog cowered from the light burning away as Huon particles were drawn from it to me. And I just fell in step with my memories of long ago.
