“Mm-hmm.” Fluttershy looked in the mirror and nodded, satisfied that she was presentable. “Sometime you’ll have to tell me how you collected it and made it into a tea without touching it. Have you ever been infected with poison joke?”
“Well, just once. As a filly.” Cheerilee fiddled with her hooves.
“Oh? What did it do?”
Cheerilee tongued her cheek, avoiding Fluttershy's gaze. Finally, she blurted, “It turned me into a bear.”
Fluttershy froze, then started to giggle, then laugh out loud. Cheerilee finally joined her, and it took a moment for them to compose themselves.
Finally, wiping a tear from her eye, Fluttershy said, “Well, maybe for our next date, you’ll have to take some poison joke."
“Mmmm, our next date…” Cheerilee said rosily, closing her eyes. It took a moment for Fluttershy’s words to sink in.
Then, her eyes darted wide, wide open.
