What do we know of changelings? Monsters that feed from love. Bugs that can take the form of anypony you love and steal compassion from right under you. Beasts that prey on ponies. These are the stories we all know and fear.

But what if? A question left without an answer. A question I shall soon answer. But it will be through a trial of pain and mistrust. Join me as I tell you the tale of how one pony changed the heart of a monster.

Nurse Tender Hoof is one of many caring nurses at the Ponyville hospital. She's an honest worker and cares for patients like they were family. One day she finds an injured pony in the woods near her home, but when she searches the body for wounds, she finds the stallion covered in chitin and filled with holes in his arms and legs.

All characters are meant to be anthropomorphic. You have been warned.
