It was a quiet morning in Ponyville; most ponies were just leaving their houses to start off their day nice and early. The sun rose above the horizon, allowing the bright amber sun rays shine brightly throughout the land to banish the darkness, and to create the light. For most at this hour, this would be the start of a long and productive work day -- maybe even just a normal day, but still, an early start was permitted for all. All but one. Maybe two… The Ponyville library was beginning to fall behind schedule. On most days, the library would be preparing to open at this time of the day. But today was a little different. The Unicorn who ran the place was snuggling herself up in bed, cuddling the sheets of which she was inside of and drooling onto her bed mattress as she dreamed of… something. Upon her baby dragon assistant, Spike, waking up, he looked up at her and listened to her dream… however, it was the dream he was expecting. “O-Oh… Dashie… L-lick it. Lick it… Please…” the young Unicorn moaned, her leg starting to kick as she continued to enjoy her dream. “M-maybe you should get the dragon dil--” Suddenly, a loud klaxon horn blew in her face, her eyes opening as she flung out of bed. Upon landing onto the floor, Spike walked around the bed, holding the novelty item in his claw as he kept his eyes on her, raising a brow. Twilight stared at him, confused to why he was looking at her like that. “What?” Twilight asked, before her face filled with a deep red color. “O-oh… I… spoke in my dream again, didn’t I?” “Yes. You did.” Spike’s foot tapped against the floor as he stood there with his arms folded, “Twilight, I’m concerned -- you keep dreaming about Rainbow Dash… it’s the same dream every single night, by the sound of it, too.” “Sorry, Spike,” Twilight looked down, the blush still present on her face. “It’s alright… I suppose,” Spike said, looking at her and walking over to her. “But must you really speak during these dreams? It’s creepin’ me out. All of this love stuff, and… whatever the stuff you were dreaming were…” “I can’t help it, Spike…” Twilight frowned, standing to her hooves, the Unicorn looking down at her assistant. “It just… happens. And I don’t even realize I’m doing it until you tell me.” A knock soon sounded at the door, and Twilight’s once glum and embarrassed expression picked up. She happily trotted down stairs, a smile so wide on her face that not even the slightest bit of anger thrown at her could wipe it off of her face. Twilight seemed to be excited -- and why was puzzling for Spike… Following her, he stood at the top of the staircase, watching Twilight skip and prance and twirl in the air so majestically that he just stared at her. And he couldn’t take his eyes off of her. “So… Majestic…” Spike bit his lip, unable to take in the amount of majestic-ness at once. That was… until Twilight fell flat on her face after twirling off of the last step in the same majestic fashion. She let out a loud squeak upon hitting the floor as if she was some sort of inflatable toy, before she lifted herself up with a look that said “I’m insane; lock me up” for a few seconds after lifting herself up. The knock on the door was heard again, before Twilight grabbed the door and swung it off of its hinges. The door flung back, nearly hitting Spike, but luckily hitting a wall and exploding. Not Michael Bay style, but it hit the wall behind him and shattered into a million wooden chunks. There at the now-torn-apart but still somehow intact-doorway stood a cerulean mare with a rainbow mane and tail, and with beautiful rose colored eyes. “Hiya, Rainbow!” Twilight smiled widely, the grin never ever seeming to fade even though Rainbow Dash had no idea why she was summoned. “It’s so nice to see you, come on in!!” Twilight soon wrapped a hoof around her neck, and yanked her in before going to slam the doo--wait… that’s right, she threw it off didn’t she? Not even that took her smile away. “H-hiya,” Rainbow blinked from the speed she was pulled in, not even she was used to that amount of sudden movement. “So… why am I here, again? I don’t think you mentioned in your invite.” “Oh. I just want to hang out with you - my best friend!” Twilight’s grin grew wider, a loud squee sound coming from her as she did. Rainbow just looked at her with a roll of her eyes before giggling to herself. “Twilight, you’re so silly,” Rainbow said, nudging her with a hoof. Twilight blushed brightly. Spike, on the other hoof was standing at the top of the stairs, watching and pouting as they both hung out with each other. Rainbow caught sight of her blush, and moved a tad bit closer to her. “R-Rainbow…?” Twilight said in a soft whimper - moving closer to her and smiling shyly. Spike sighed, leaning against the wall behind him and keeping his eyes fixed on the two mares that seemed to get lovey-dovey. Not that he liked lovey-dovey stuff, but it gave himself something to do. Twilight soon threw herself at Rainbow, landing on top of her and kissing her deeply on the lips. Rainbow’s face changed from cerulean to a dark red as the mare on top of her kissed her. She was quick to close her eyes, and then she wrapped her hooves around Twilight, kissing her and caressing her mane. Spike’s eyes widened, the dragon leaning over the stairs. “I-I could get in on this…” his tongue slowly slithered out of his mouth as he watched the two mares kiss each other, Rainbow rolling Twilight onto her back, and breaking away from the kiss as she sat up on her, both of the mares breathing heavily to get their breath back. “Ahem!” Spike forcibly cleared his throat, using his arm to try and hide the blush. “Just saying I’m up here… J-just keep doing your thing, I’ll write a letter to Princess Celestia…” He soon walked back into Twilight’s room, leaping onto a stool and taking a quill out of the pot and a piece of wrinkled paper before beginning to write down the words. Dear Princess Celestia… Today, what I learned about friends--what we learned about friendship, is that you should never jump into things head on-- “OH! Yes, Rainbow, faster!!” a voice screamed from downstairs to interrupt Spike from writing the letter. He looked back, groaning before returning to the letter. It can cause problems; complications can arise, and it just makes things… harder for everyone to cope with. You just need to learn to take things slow, build a friendship before considering moving onto love and eventually se-- “I bet you love it, don’t YOU!?” Rainbow’s voice roared from downstairs, Spike stopping once more and slamming a claw down. And then silence yet again. --and eventually… sex. Eventually is the keyword, though… you can’t just jump into it like some sex-crazed moron. Wouldn’t that be dumb or what? I know it’s dumb, believe me. Because I’ve experienced it first hand… not me personally, but… I’ve seen… things. Unspeaka-- “Oh. Harder, harder! AGH!” Twilight screamed, moans and pants heard from downstairs. Spike then slammed the quill down, making it blunt before going back and writing whatever he could with a blunt quill. No. You know what? I’m done with this letter. Screw it to hell, just like what Twilight and Rainbow Dash are doing downstairs! --Spike.
