Chapter 1- DJ Cadence
An amazing party was thrown by a penguin, which usually disturbed Herbert, the infamous polar bear who hates cold and noisy things. The penguin who threw it was none other than DJ Cadence. She waddled to her home, after the amazing party she threw with everyone. "That party was awesome!" said the DJ penguin, smiling before tucking into her bed next to her puffle Lolz.
~NEXT MORNING~
Cadence shifted in her bed. What woke her up from her sleep? Cadence just groaned. Whatever, she can just go make some music.
"Who the heck are you!?" shouted an unrecognizable voice. Cadence looked at who she was, she couldn't really recognize who she was, but she knew it was some penguin with cool sunglasses, a blue and light blue rocky mane, and a white coat. But she didn’t look much like a penguin. More of a pony. "Who are you and how did you come here!? ANSWER ME!" said the penguin or pony.
"Ummm... My name is Cadence?" said Cadence, looking confused.
"Okay, but how did you get here!?”
“ I don’t know. But do you know where the dock is? I gotta go to the Music Cruise”
"Music Cruise?” asked the penguin or pony.
"Vinyl, who's that?" A fancy, posh voice asked Vinyl Scratch, the penguin or pony had a long black mane, purple eyes, a grey coat.
"She says her name is Cadence. But she’s looking for something called a music cruise." said the white DJ.
"Please don't tell me she's another DJ. Too much music was playing the last time you hosted a party." said the grey penguin or pony, still remembering how noisy it was and she couldn't sleep.
"I am a DJ." said the pink DJ, looking for a purple ball of fur through the window.
"Well are you a noisy DJ?" asked Octavia, taking another daisy sandwich and biting it.
"Maybe" said Cadence, looking around.
"Well as long as you aren't really as noisy as Vinyl's electronic music, that's fine with me" said Octavia, already finished with her sandwich.
"I don't get what you have against electronic music Tavi!" said Vinyl Scratch, poking her head in the conversation between the two ponies.
"Well one, it's too noisy. And two, it's just a bunch of noise mixed together!" said Octavia, starting an argument with Vinyl.
"Electronic music isn’t a bunch of noise mixed together! It's recreated music!" shouted Vinyl.
"It's unoriginal!" said Octavia, defending her own statement.
"Well sometimes the songs are made through creativity!" shouted Vinyl Scratch, in a louder voice.
"QUIET EVERYONE!!" shouted Cadence, interrupting the argument of the two. "Vinyl, PLAY YOUR MUSIC WHEN OCTAVIA IS NOT HERE! And Octavia, it's simple, GO OUT!" she shouted again. "Sheesh, am I some friendship lawyer or something!?" When they all heard this, they just bursted into laughs. "It isn't funny!" Cadence shouted again.
"Well it's kinda funny!" Vinyl replied to Cadence, making Cadence laugh too. And before they all knew it, they were all rolling on the floor laughing!
"This is so fun!" said Cadence, in a fit of laughs .
"IS THEIR LAUGHING WITHOUT ME IN IT!?" shouted a high-pitched voice, Cadence couldn't really recognize who she was. She had a very curly pink mane, with a lighter pink coat, with blue eyes, and three balloons for a cutiemark. "AND A NEW PONY!? WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME ABOUT THIS!" shouted the pink pony.
"Wait, I’m not a pony! I’m a penguin!" said the pink DJ, trying to waddle over to a mirror only to find that she doesn’t have flippers, just hooves. She tried to stand up, only to end up hopelessly flopping over.
"Oh, and I forgot to ask,what's you're name?" The pink mare asked, helping Cadence up.
"Oh, my name's Cadence" said Cadence, looking at the mirror.
"Oh, my name's Pinkie Pie, but you call me Pinkie! All my friends do!" said the happy pink mare, before running off to Sugarcube Corner.
"Is she always like this?" asked Cadence, still looking at the direction the hyper pink pony went.
“Relax, she’s just excited about you coming to Ponyville!” said the white DJ, smiling at her. “Besides, you make a great friend. You can stay with us until you can have your own house” So she was allowing her to stay in her and Octavia’s house?
“Thanks, you’re an awesome friend” said the former-penguin-and-now-pony, smiling. “But there is only one exception”
“What is it?” asked Vinyl and Octavia, while exchanging glances.
“I’m not from this place”
"What!?" shouted Vinyl and Octavia in unison, their jaws nearly dropping to the floor.
"Yes, have you even seen that I flopped over to the mirror awhile ago?" said the pink DJ, attempting to walk over to the mirror.
“So that’s why you can’t trot well” said the white DJ, helping Cadence up.
“Anyway, can you teach me how to walk?” asked a frustrated Cadence, falling over again.
“Okay, I’ll teach you” Said Octavia, straightening herself and moving her hooves one by one. “First, front right hoof in front” said she, demonstration how to walk with her hooves. “Second, back left hoof” “Third, front left hoof in front” “Then fourth, back right hoof”
“Thanks, so let me try” said a slightly-frustrated, trying to get on all fours. One, front right hoof in front. Two, back left hoof. Three, front left hoof in front. Four, back right hoof. Seeing Cadence already was good at walking, she smiled.
“Woo! Cadence did it!” said a happy Vinyl, about to grab her bass cannon “Lets rock this ho-”
“No Vinyl! Not the bass cannon!” shouted a dissaproving Octavia, grabbing the cannon. “You know that’s dangerous!”
“Oh come on! It’s awesome!” said the white DJ with a hint of sadness.
Knock knock knock. A knock on the door answered.
“I’ll get it” said Octavia, trotting to the door.
“Hey there, Pinkie asked if I could come here. She says there is a new pony in town!” said a lavender pony, she had violette eyes, a dark purple mane with a streak of pink in her mane, and she had a pink star with 6 other smaller stars around the points of the star.
“I’m the new pony” said a happy Cadence, trotting over to the lavender mare.
“Oh! A pleasure to meet you, my name is Twilight Sparkle” said the nice lavender mare, smiling at Cadence. “Anyway, Pinkie asked if you could go to Sugarcube Corner”
“Sure! I just need some help getting around” said Cadence putting on a sheepish smile.
“It’s okay, we’ll show you around” said Vinyl, smiling at Cadence.
“I still don’t get why Pinkie needs me here” said the slightly annoyed Cadence to Vinyl.
“Oh, Pinkie’s just doing what she usually does when somepony’s new to Ponyville” said Twilight.
“Still, why do we have to be he-”
“SUPRISE!!!” shouted a whole group of ponies, shocking Cadence.
“Hiya Cadence! I see you came! Ooh! We’re gonna so have much fun tonight!” Shouted a very enthiusastic Pinkie Pie “I gotta introduce you to so many ponies! First is Twilight, you already know her. Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity, Doctor Whooves, Derpy, Bon Bon, Lyra, Dewdrop-” Pinkie Pie introduced everypony, and I mean everypony in Ponyville, Cadence decided to trot to the food.
“Mmmmmmm, this looks delicious!” said Cadence, licking her lips in hunger. As she was about to pick up a cupcake, she realized she had no idea how to pick something up with hooves. Sighing, she thought,maybe I could use this horn… Of course! She could use magic to levitate the cupcake and eat it! She gritted her teeth, focusing her mind on levitating the cupcake. And it worked. “Yes! Come to me yummy cupcake!” said the happy Cadence, reaching her mouth out. And she got a bite of the heavenly, delicious food. Cadence kept eating the cupcake until it was finished, and boy did she enjoy it! And the party went on for hours, until it ended.
“Bye Cadence! Seeya tomorrow!” shouted a very happy Pinkie Pie to Cadence, before bouncing back to her room.
“Bye Pinkie! Thanks for the yummy cupcakes!” shouted a satisfied Cadence, waving back to Pinkie. When Vinyl,Octavia, and Cadence went to their house. Cadence trotted over to the couch and slept. This place wasn’t so bad after all. She just needs to go home to her friends, but for now, she can stay and make new friends.
