Well hello there, my name is Black Sheep I am fifteen at the time being; I am pretty young I know. But yeah, whatever I still don’t have my cutie mark so I’m pretty young in my mind; I’m a unicorn. I was born at the Foal Mountains, so there wasn’t much interaction with other ponies my dad had left to Manehattan to start making a business when I was like 5 so I never was able to see him that much.
So I spent my time with my mom in practical isolation, so I didn’t know that much about many ponies. Although my father was making money with his business; we never got any money; (my parents never did get married and ended up splitting apart.)My mother had to work day and night, so I rarely saw her, too; but she always found time to talk to me. With the closest city being Tall Town. I was so young, I couldn’t take the trip alone. The only time I left was to go to school in Tall Town, but I was so anti-social that every day was another lonely day. I didn’t really understand the material that much, so it was very hard. Kids made fun of me for being poor.
I spent every day, sad and alone. I cried and mourned so much I thought I would one day get a cutie mark with a crying man sitting on my flank. Soon my mother and I had to move to Vanhoover it was pretty scary moving into a new place. It was so much more crowd and I got intimidated easily. After going to school for a while the school guidance counselor started to question me very often about my life at home. I always said it was alright, didn’t know any better than the struggle my mom and I went through; I was finally getting better, I was 10 at the time. Soon word reached my father, who then took me away from my mother, the only person who was with me and took care of me and loved me.
I moved in with him to The Crystal Empire, he had more than enough money to take care of me and him, but I still hated this life. I always had to struggle with the cold that food brought, but now, I had it all and I hated it. Because I hadn’t yet respected my father as a parent, I never told him anything. I was in 6th grade, that’s when all the drama started up; I just shut every pony out. I couldn’t talk to my mom; and didn’t want to talk to my dad so I was alone in this cruel world. He treated me a lot, but I never really said anything to him. I spent my days locked up in my room not talking to anyone. At school I had one friend; her name was Drew. But after a while, we grew distant.
By time I started 7th grade I had this mentality that if I was just going to stop caring for everyone, and it was working. I was finally able to be with my mom for 8th grade! I just didn’t know what to do, but anything that happened in the previous years I kept to myself. Tried to start a new chapter in my life, it was nice to start new, but I still didn’t want to let anyone back in. All I wanted was to be loved. So I started getting in relationships and that mess up my own thoughts of myself. I found myself a horrible stallion for acting like I loved other ponies. The next year I had to move back with my father for 9th grade. This time I made the concuss decision to make friends. I actually did, that was the year that I met Crystal Feather, and her whole gang of friends; it was awesome. I finally had friends that I could talk to, and always be true to.
After all that’s happened so far, I can’t understand how I endured so much; the bully ponies and well, everything. I wished I had my friends back when all this started. Then would have had a better life but I’m glad I have them now. And they have helped me learn what friendship is all about. And I hope that they, now, are my very best friends. Till the very end…
