Present Time

She laid in her bed and stared at the ceiling. Just like she did when she was young.

She remembered all the questions, still, after the years. But mostly she remembered the last night.

Her dad told the story of the heroes of ancient times, Private Pansy and Commander Hurricane. They were always her favourites for some reason.

She asked her dad to tell the sory of the death of the Commander, the last chapter of the stories of ancient times because after that, Pansy just disappeared. Ironically, it was his last ever. Like he disappeared with Pansy and ended with the story.

She remembered how he told the sky had no limits. And how she imagined flying for forever with The Other. How he told her that she had strong wings. And that she promised him to be strong. Because of The Other. And Her, the mare with the laurel.

By then, she had no idea of what the mare with the laurel could do. Now she knew.

She remembered how she wondered that that night. And how she had to find out that night.

Her dad went downstairs and the doorbell rang. Not long after that mom stood in her room with The Other and opened the window.

She told them to fly and don't wait. Of course mom wanted to say more. Fly, don;t wait, stay together, live and of course be strong. Always be strong.

And then she remembered they flew, surrounded by stars in the sky that has been told to have no limits for what felt like forever. Until their wings hurt and couldn't see trough the dark because the fire behind them was too far away.

Until the sun came up and they realised it was just them. Them against everypony else. Them against the world.

But they kept flying. Because they were together.

She had no idea where to fly to, neither did The Other. They just flew to the only place she knew was also against Her.

There, they got told more about Her and what happend.

Luckily she knew all the questions and the learned them to The Other.

She never told The Other because it was about her.

She got the bed where she was right now, where she started wondering and never stopped wondering:

Is there a world where I can love you?
