Hi! This is Kro speaking! Firstly, I would like to say, thanks to all my followers. You guys are just really swell! Without all of you, I probably wouldn't be where I am right now.
Secondly, if you can't tell, this story is going to be focusing on Spike! As well as best dragoness!
Just a quick heads up, the characters are all fully human, except for Pegasi's and Alicorns, which still retain their wings, as well as other mythical beings such as the gryphons and the changelings. Also, dragons have their tails along with their wings, which would fully emerge when they reach a certain age. Also, they still use the term 'unicorn' and stuff of the like.
Hope you enjoy!
"So....Pretty"
It was a rather boring afternoon in the quaint town of Ponyville as the many residents continued on with their daily routines. Tending to their shops, talking among one another, heading towards someplace to grab a bite to eat. That sort of daily stuff.
However, for a young guy who is tending the towns only library, things were more boring than usual.
"Ugh! What's wrong with today! It's so boring..." The young boy piped out.
As what every residence of Ponyville knows, this boy's name is Spike. The adopted brother of Twilight Sparkle, the towns librarian as well as her number 1 assistant. He is 15 years of age and has a light green hair and eye color with a purple tail that had green pointed spike like scales. He was currently wearing a plain purple shirt with a couple of light green stripes going horizontally around the middle with a pair of dark blue shorts. Currently, he was lying on top of one of the sofa's that was brought into the library a couple of days ago, groaning in displeasure.Once again, he was given the job to take care of the library as Twilight headed out to meet one of her friends about something related to apples and hips.
Something about bucking. Spike couldn't quite remember.
After a couple more moments of laying completely still, Spike heard the door open, trailing his eyes to find that his sister had finally returned. Now standing up, Spike readjusted his shirt and pulled up his shorts a little before walking over to his sister. "Hey Twi. So what happened?" Spike asked as he straightened out his neon green hair.
"Apparently, Applebloom tried to buck a tree on her own again. This time, for some really strange reason, the tree acted as if it were made of rubber, stretching to one end before bouncing back and hitting her, sending her flying to the barn. Needless to say, AJ wanted us to help with the damaged barn. I'm telling you. This has Discord's name all over it" Twilight said as she took off her small sling bag and sighed in relief. "Don't know why, but I feel really tired"
"Meh, can't really say wh-" Spike was cut off by the sound of him belching as a bright flame flew out of his mouth. Once it dissipated, a scroll then fell and landed on Spike's hands, catching him off guard. Tearing off the seal which he didn't pay attention to, Spike skimmed through most of the message up until he read who it came from. "Oh! It's from mom" Spike said, hearing Twilight gasp a little.
You see, ever since he was small, he had always though of Princess Celestia being his mother, as he was always with her and with Twilight back then. And yes, you read that correctly. Needless to say, Celestia was always happy to hear him say that and also thought of adopting him as her own child once.
"What's it say then?" Twilight asked, curiosity getting hold of her.
"Let's see...Ahem. 'Dear Faithful Student'....Blah blah blah...Yadda yadda yadda...'Spell from Starswirl The Bearded'...blah blah blah...'Replicate anything'...blah blah blah...'Signed, Princess Celestia. P.S. Luna had yelling at me for eating her cake. I couldn't help it!'" Spike said, chuckling at the end along with Twilight.
Then, her mind registered what she heard. "Wait...Did she say a spell from Starswirl The Bearded?" she asked, a small sparkle appearing in her eyes.
"Wait..." Spike trailed off, his eyes scanning the message for the particular sentence. "AH! Here. 'I had come across this particular spell from Starswirl The Bearded when I was inside the Royal Archives. With it, any unicorn is able to replicate anything that the spell touches. Either it be an inanimate object or a live specimen. I have entrusted this into your hands as I have full confidence that you are able to manipulate it. I have a feeling that there is something more to it that just that'
"Huh...Now that's cool. Let's see...Oh! The spell is on a separate paper at the bottom of the scroll" Spike said, giving the scroll to Twilight as she fully examined the scroll. Her eyes darted back and forth as she read through. A moment later, a grin broke out from her face.
"Oh this is exciting! A new spell for me learn!" Twilight exclaimed as she let out a girlish squeal before running upstairs to prepare.
This left Spike alone once again. He sighed as he picked up Twilight's bag before placing it down onto the sofa, where he laid himself on it and stared into the ceiling.
"SPIKE!!" Twilight yelled from upstairs, causing the young boy to jolt himself awake. Spike squinted his eyes for a moment before letting out a yawn and rubbing his eyes, trying to dispel the sleepiness.
"What?" Spike replied, feeling slightly annoyed from being woken up abruptly.
"Can you help me bring my bag upstairs, please?" Twilight asked, causing Spike to sigh. He grabbed the bag that was next to him before he continued his way upstairs, walking ever so slowly. Eventually, he was finally upstairs. He slowly walked through the corridor before opening Twilight's door where he found her concentrating as her hands glowed purple. However, Twilight noticed Spike's entry and her concentration was soon shattered. She put scrunched up her face for a moment before smiling as she saw her brother holding her bag.
"Thanks Spike" Twilight thanked him, causing Spike to yawn once more.
"You're still working on that spell?" Spike asked with a small frown on his face. Twilight's smile faltered a little.
"Yea. Don't worry though. I almost had it, until you came in" Twilight said with a small frown now on her face.
Spike lifted up his hands as he stared at her for a while. "Hey. I didn't know you were working on the spell alright? For all I know, you could have been reading a book" Spike said, causing Twilight to giggle.
"Fine. Anyways, the spell should finally work now. You want to see?" Twilight asked.
"Sure!" Spike exclaimed, feeling his drowsiness fade into nothing.
With that, Twilight took a deep breath and closed her eyes, not a moment later, her hands glowed a light purple glow. Then, after a while, Twilight fired off the magic onto a nearby piece of furniture, which, conveniently, was a chair. However, that was when the unexpected happen.
As soon as the ball of magic touched the chair, the furniture seemed to reject it as the ball was sent flying back, its path being in line with Spike. Due to how unexpected it was, Spike did not have any time to try and dodge the orb that was coming straight at him and once it hit him, his body felt numb for a while as a purple glow enveloped him. After that, a bright flash of light filled the room, blinding both Spike and Twilight.
Once the light died down, Twilight rubbed her eyes for a while before her vision came back to her. Once it did, she frantically went up to Spike who was lying on the floor, groaning in displeasure as his body felt odd, as if his body was split into half. "Spike! Are you ok?!" Twilight asked, checking to see if he had any injuries.
"I'm fine...Just...a little dizzy...Ugh..." Spike groaned once more, making Twilight sigh in relief.
However, something managed to catch their attention. It was in a form of a groan as well, however, it seemed to have come from a girl. Their thoughts were soon correct when they heard someone speak. "Argh...I don't feel so well...".
Both Spike and Twilight looked around the room, trying to find where the voice came from, only to be stopped when they found a girl lying on the floor next to the nearby bookshelf with books piled on top of her. They couldn't tell who she was at the moment, but something inside of Spike prompted him to help her up. Standing up, he ran to where she was at. "H-Hey...L-Let me help" Spike stuttered for a moment.
The girl groaned once more. She felt the weight on her back being thrown off as someone was obviously helping her. With whatever strength she had left, she slowly pushed herself up by a little. She then lifted her face to try and see the person whom was helping her at the moment.
It was then that their eyes met.
Spike, couldn't help but stare at this person. Her lush green hair that went down to shoulder length and not to mention those emerald orbs that entranced him. It was then that Spike uttered something that made the girl blush.
