Sleep refuses to come to Princess Twilight Sparkle one night, and so she decides to have a little walk around her new castle. When she enters the throne room, however, she sees a familiar looking object: the Crystal Mirror, giving off a soft blue . Knowing that it shouldn't be there, she begins to write to Princess Cadance and Princess Celestia about its presence... But before help can arrive, she feels a powerful urge wash over her...

Of course, she goes through the Mirror portal. But she doesn't end up in the human world... no, she ends up in a castle currently in chaos, on fire, and under siege. With her magic powers severely handicapped for reasons unknown, she must find her way home without most of her magic.

(Not tagging crossover because I came up with this myself. I hope. I'm gonna be really pissed with myself if this world I'm trying to build is from something already.)
